Truffle Fries

We arrived at CJ Blacks at 5:30 on a Friday night. Parking was simple and we were seated immediately. Nicole served us and she was very attentive. We started off with a pretzel as an appetizer. It was enough for a party of 8. It came in a pizza box with marinara sauce and cheese. We had the pretzel with mustard. It was very good. My friend and I had wings.and truffle fries. I thought they were really tasty. My other friend tried the Shrimp Cobb Salad. We all had to get to go boxes because we couldn't finish the ample portions. But we did have room for dessert. Since it was my friend's birthday, Nicole lit a candle on the Bread pudding with gelato. We made a good dent in this excellent dish. The restaurant was decorated for St. Patrick's Day. They had live music which added to the festive atmosphere.

The place was welcoming, family friendly and a nice atmosphere. My waitress was attentive and wonderful. The interaction amongst other waitresses and waiters were very friendly and humorous. They dance, laughed and seem to really enjoy working at CJ Blacks. Sounded like live music but I didn't see anyone performing so I can't say 100 percent. The Drinks 0/10 I had 3 different alcoholic drinks and they all tasted like juice. The Food: 1 person had wings, another had the rib dinner and I had the ribeye dinner. Everyone said the food was good and tasty. The food took some time to arrive to the table. We ordered potato skins as an appetizer. The potato skins were actually good and a nice size but they were a bit sweet, which was unusual 8/10. My plate came with broccoli and mushrooms. My broccoli was cold and the mushrooms were warm. Everything was flavorful. Everyone said their food was good. My steak was very flavorful. I would definitely come back.

It was very good. great ambience everyone enjoyed their lunch. Very friendly place. We got there at 2:30 so no problem getting a table. Looks like they're pretty slow and so they had only one server working all the tables. So Waited too long for waitress to make initial visit. And for our order to come it took a while never got any refills on our drinks or got any of the dishes picked up. No managers on site greating customers they could do much better minimum tip allowed 20% easy. Ambiance is great outdoor seating great parking overall.

We were in the mood for some good BBQ ribs before going to a Pumpkin Patch farm/nursery to celebrate autumn and the beautiful Fall day outside yesterday. I checked Yelp and we decided on CJ Black's. Soon as we walked in, we knew we came to the right place because we could smell those good flavors cooking! I loved the country style decor with the wooden cabinets and shelving, country tables and booths, the hanging lantern lamps, the wooden flooring, and the industrial style open ceiling! I really felt like I was in for good Southern style cooking! We were really looking forward to our dinner! Our server was Michael, who was very nice and knowledgeable about the menu. He confirmed their Ribs were awesome. We both ordered the same thing, ribs! Oh my goodness, they were the best I've tasted in a long time!! The BBQ sauce was amazing and there was plenty of it. The pork just melted off the bones! Each bite was accompanied by an "mmm" from both of us. The fries were crispy but soft in the middle, so good. Our meal was perfection. The Chef served us and was so much fun to chat with! Michael checked on us several times. Michael asked if we wanted dessert and mentioned how good their choc chip cookie was with vanilla Gelato, so we gave in to temptation and shared it. It was very good. We hadn't eaten since breakfast. We wouldn't need anything else after the ribs the rest of the night. We can't wait to return! Parking is outside the restaurant and is free. Handicap parking is right in front.

C.J.'s is a place I definitely need to visit more! We come here yearly with my work to do our holiday Christmas happy hour. I love that they are able to host our group and the staff are very accommodating. I also love that their happy hour is throughout the week and goes until 7pm. They have such a good deal on the variety of alcoholic beverages they have and good options. I definitely will be coming back soon! The ambiance is really cozy and pretty too during the holidays with all their lights that's they put up and decorations.

Very friendly and down to earth and really helped to elevate the overall dine-in experience, on top of that she checked in on us throughout to make sure we had everything we needed For a drink, I got a cosmopolitan and it was solid, would definitely get it again and recommend based on my experience I tried the Enforcers cheesesteak this time which came with white american cheese and onion, I opted out of the mushrooms, and it was delicious! I loved it, it was flavored really well and I enjoyed the american cheese, it went so good with the sandwich and the bread was great! Soft and fresh, I also loved the Mayo on the side as it enhances the creaminess of the cheese, I would 100% get this again I had the Onion Rings and you guessed it, also great, batter seasoned perfectly, hot & crispy, would recommend if you like onion rings I was able to try the pub fries again and they were as perfect as the first time and absolutely worth the up-charge any day! Please try if you go, you won't be disappointed I'm sure LOVE this place! Thanks again Hideaways!

My cousin was in town on business and staying at a nearby hotel, so we decided to meet there for dinner. At first it was a bit loud and difficult to have a conversation. But after while they either lowered the music or we just got used to it. Because we managed to hang out for almost three hours, eating and chatting. She got the chicken pesto flatbread pizza (good) and I got the chicken wings with Asian sauce (very good). We both indulged in a special mule drink. You get your money's worth with this drink. We both are not big alcohol drinkers, but love mules; however, we had to send them back for a little more ginger beer. Service was fast and friendly. And throughout our three hours of catching up, the waitress constantly checked on us. The place is popular. The food is good. I think they also hold different types of game nights. Dinner for two with two entrees, two alcoholic drinks, tax, and tip was about $78.

It's right up the road from my hotel and I've been meaning to stop in. Now I'm sitting here picking up every single crumb from the container and trying to savor it. I have one more regret and that's that I shared it with my husband. He was only supposed to "taste" it but after he took the first bite, he kept coming back for more. I have had Fish & Chips from so many places and never once did I feel like I needed to go right back and get more. I guess I could go back and just blame it on my husband for eating mine. Lol! I ate every morsel of the fish but I let my daughter and hubby eat most of the fries. The fries were VERY YUMMY too but I can't eat fried fish AND fries as I'm trying to keep my carbs down. I'm only scheduled to be in this area for another week so I plan to return as many times as I can before we check out. Might I add, I do not know authentic fish and chips but I've had plenty in my lifetime and this is definitely, HANDS DOWN, the best tasting one I've ever had. When I went inside, I felt like I was no longer in the USA. The decor looks like what you'd imagine a real pub in England looks like. Lots of memorabilia on the walls, dark, with furnishings that fit perfectly with the vibe. The guy at the bar was super super nice! I was nervous because I watch Lewis (the British YouTuber) often. He's the one that has me wanting to try British food but he says they aren't very nice people. Well this guy was very nice! He even ran out to my car because he'd forgotten to give me my slaw. I'm sitting here now, a tad bit sad because I want more but I'll be back and if you're in the area and you've seen this place on Unversity Drive, stop in! You won't be disappointed!

We stopped by here before going to Cypress Golf a few doors down and it was the perfect bite before going. We just got some onion rings and two beers. We are mad at ourselves that this is the first time we have ever been here. Drinks (including canned sodas, Gatorade and every beer you can think of) are serve yourself plus they do have some beers on tap. First - service is super friendly. If it's your first time there it can be a little confusing on ordering but we figured it out and we were well taken care of. We were going to start with pretzel bites but we had a little snafu after a long talk about pickles and my pickle phone case so we ended up with the fried pickles. They were amazing and they weren't spears or slices they were bite size barely breaded (yay!) bites with a little bit of heat sauce. So good! They are obviously not made from frozen and are soooooo good! We then had the pretzel bites. It came with a thick cheese sauce that had a kick. My husband and I loved them too! I had a caprese hoagie (pressed) small. And my husband has a small North Fork small hoagie. It looked amazing and was HUGE for a small. We also had handcut fries. I love when restaurants serve fresh cut fries. They just taste different. So good. All in all, we loved it! There is something for everyone to eat and we are so happy we ended up here by default! Next time it will be on purpose.
