Star's Mahi Sandwich

I have been to Hideaways about 6 or 7 times now; and it's always been a positive experience. First of all it is decorated super cute.....like a speakeasy. There are leather couches, bookshelves, velvet drapes, and cute light fixtures. The menu has a huge selection of shareables, salads, burgers, sandwiches, and full entrees. The menu items also have cute mob and prohibition-era names like "Untouchables Sliders," "Enforcers'Philly," "Bombshell Chicken," and "Zelda's," and "Capone's" salads. I have come for lunch, for dinner, and after dinner drinks; with just my mom, a few friends, and even a group of 14 ladies celebrating a birthday. The service has a little been slow at times, but the food has always been good and all the servers we've experienced have been friendly. I have especially enjoyed the Bombshell Chicken Sandwich and Hideway's Grilled Cheese. (They have several different grilled cheese options and they are all on sourdough bread either an accompanying cup of tomato soup.) The prices are reasonable and they have a full bar and live entertainment some evenings. Hideaway's is a unique experience; and a fun place to gather. It's easy to get to from anywhere in Plantation and there's lots of free parking. I'm hoping that Hideaways is here to stay!

I really enjoyed the ambience here at this location. We had a few drinks at the bar and the chicken pesto flatbread. The service was excellent and the flatbread was very tasty. I definitely recommend this place for a nice chill time. Also the football game was playing on the TV. plenty of free parking behind and in front of the area.

So this is a really cool little hidden place in Plantation that has a speakeasy vibe. It has only been around a year and is just a really chill place. They have good old fashions, a nice cocktail menu, and some cool beers. We had a really good time here and the service was really good. Besides cocktails and beers we also enjoyed their pesto chicken flatbread, which was really tasty and had kind of like a char-grilled thing on the bottom. I would definitely come back if I'm in the area.

Speakeasy or Sportsbar? This is a sports bar with a speakeasy theme. Came here with a couple friends we sat at the long red velvet couch that gave this place a retro 70's vibe. There were portraits of wooden rum barrels on the walls in the dimly lit front room. Happy Hour was from 4p - 7p and we took advantage of the Buy 1 get 1 Deal. The big burger smothered with sautéed onions was spectacular. The gender assigned bathroom was clean with gray porcelain tile floors and a granite counter top over a deep metal sink.

Hideaways sits in the strip mall, west of McDonald's, at University Drive near 595. I've been in that mall for other reasons and the place is always buzzing with lots of music and patrons. My cousin was in town on business and staying at a nearby hotel, so we decided to meet there for dinner. At first it was a bit loud and difficult to have a conversation. But after while they either lowered the music or we just got used to it. Because we managed to hang out for almost three hours, eating and chatting. She got the chicken pesto flatbread pizza (good) and I got the chicken wings with Asian sauce (very good). We both indulged in a special mule drink. You get your money's worth with this drink. We both are not big alcohol drinkers, but love mules; however, we had to send them back for a little more ginger beer. Service was fast and friendly. And throughout our three hours of catching up, the waitress constantly checked on us. The place is popular. The food is good. I think they also hold different types of game nights. Dinner for two with two entrees, two alcoholic drinks, tax, and tip was about $78.

Had to try this new restaurant with a few friends for happy hour. The sliders were a good start but the fish dip was salty just how I like it with fresh crunchy carrot sticks. We had a toast to great friends with my vodka and cocktails. Met the new owner and his daughter was our server. Fun times and great food!!!

Tucked away in a small strip mall right off University Drive in Plantation, you'll find what was once The Old Legends -- now transformed into The Hideaway Tavern & Grille. The place has a cool speakeasy sports bar vibe -- relaxed, welcoming, and full of character. Service and food were both excellent. The shrimp escargot appetizer was amazing, and the prime rib French dip was equally impressive. No one in my party had a single negative thing to say! The only downside is that it's tucked into a corner of the shopping plaza with no big sign out front, so it's easy to miss. But once you find it, you'll be glad you did -- a true hidden gem in Plantation!

Great Place!! Tony and the staff have done a lot of updates to the place an it is very fun and welcoming. They have some common and also some unique food and drink items- and all that I have had were delicious. It's also a great place to watch sports as they have TVs everywhere including two big projector screens. It's an Official Arsenal Supporters Pub and watching the matches there are incredibly fun too. Highly recommend checking it out!

I went back for the second time on a Friday night and it was a fantastic time yet again, They had live music going on which was really nice I have to rave again about the service, our waitress this time was Kacy and she was fabulous! Very friendly and down to earth and really helped to elevate the overall dine-in experience, on top of that she checked in on us throughout to make sure we had everything we needed For a drink, I got a cosmopolitan and it was solid, would definitely get it again and recommend based on my experience I tried the Enforcers cheesesteak this time which came with white american cheese and onion, I opted out of the mushrooms, and it was delicious! I loved it, it was flavored really well and I enjoyed the american cheese, it went so good with the sandwich and the bread was great! Soft and fresh, I also loved the Mayo on the side as it enhances the creaminess of the cheese, I would 100% get this again I had the Onion Rings and you guessed it, also great, batter seasoned perfectly, hot & crispy, would recommend if you like onion rings I was able to try the pub fries again and they were as perfect as the first time and absolutely worth the up-charge any day! Please try if you go, you won't be disappointed I'm sure LOVE this place! Thanks again Hideaways!

The hostess told us a few different options of where to sit from and we took a booth. The server was very on top of everything and came over quickly, got our drinks and told us of different drink orders that were happening at that time. I decided to get a zombie and it was amazing! The flavors were mixed perfectly and it was a nice pour! I decided to get the prime rib sandwich with fries as a side and omg it was heavenly. The meat was cooked perfectly and the ciabatta bread it was served on was fresh and soft! The cheese was melted perfectly and the meat was seasoned great as well! The fries were so hot and seasoned with something that was out of this world! The place has some nice decorations but overall is just a sports bar at the end of the day. It was super clean but I do wish the air was a little colder because it started to get warm by the time I was finished with my meal.

I also liked the seating at the booth - they were not square booths, but rather round "embracing" booths, so we were warmly greeted and we got a Lunch Menu! There were some cool options to be had a t a much reduced price- for lunch! My partner wanted a burger. Well he got the juiciest burger, and the fries were to die for! I picked from the lunch menu the pork with mojo and rice and beans and let me say my dish was very savory and good! Not the Cuban style Mojo I was expecting, more of a Caribbean-Jamaica flavor to it, but very delicious nonetheless. We ate with much gusto to our hearts desire... and eventually had to get a doggy bag because even my lunch portion was bough to take some back home for later. Great place, service and ambiance. Did I mention they have a Wednesday Trivia night? We might be back for that!

Such a fun speakeasy for a night out!…read more We stumbled upon Sidecar Speakeasy to start our night off right, and it was such a fun, curated vibe. The 1920s prohibition theme was done really well, and the Halloween decorations were a fun added touch. The bartender was so personable and crafted drinks for me and all my friends based on our favorite flavors, which made the experience feel extra special. You can also enter via Vino's by walking towards the back (but again, not much signage...it's secret!). We had wine at Vino's before Sidecar's opening time in order to secure spots at the appointed hour. After our eyes adjusted from sunlit Vino's, we found the speakeasy tiny, dark and red all over! I immediately thought of Red Rum LOL. With the tin ceiling, skulls, full bar, red velvet cushion barstools and seats, the Edwardian ambiance was uber awesome. Menus featured original cocktails and famous quotes. What made it fun were the two mixologists. You could tell they enjoy their jobs, chatting and making it a special place for their patrons. Went Sunday of Labor Day weekend and it was not too busy but LOUD because there was a very large group that was having a good time. First, our server, YANEI was OUTSTANDING! My husband had Sashimi & Sushi and he enjoyed it, my BFF had the Japanese meatloaf bowl over wasabi mashed potatoes and she loved it and I had Mac & Cheese with Pulled Pork which was to die for. We had gone to the movies so we were looking for a late night dinner and we weren't in the mood for our normal go to, Flannigans. They were busy, but not packed. I will say that they had a singer and it was VERY loud, but he was great so we weren't disturbed by the volume. There is a lot of choose from - everything from burgers to sushi. We decided on a starter of spicy edamame. Sometimes I find it too spicy for me so we got the sauce on the side. I was happy we did. My husband loved the heat - me not so much. The edamame was cooked perfect - better than some Asian restaurants! Not overcooked and nice and warm! I had the cj black burger with fries. It was huge and I took most of it home. The fries were also good. My husband had a chicken sandwich. He opted for sautéed veggies. I knew he'd be eating some of my fries too. The veggies were very good. Our server brought me a to go container and pointed out the bottom of the to go container which in all the years I've eaten at restaurants I've never had a server actually tell me that. I loved and appreciated it - especially since the top had vents so there wouldn't be condensation! All in all we enjoyed our meal. Service was pretty good and we will definitely be back.
