Stopped in a couple times to grab some drinks and food and the place is pretty good but I will say the automatic gratuity and prices for some of the food are the reasons I have to knock the star off for my review. The place is very nicely decorated and there is so much to look around at because the theming is very nice. I also like that there is a nice amount of seating and the bar top area is spaced out also. The bartender was friendly and got the drink orders in quickly but was a little pushy with trying to get us to upsize our drinks when I only wanted a small. The frozen hurricane was delicious and has a nice strength to it. Very sweet but very refreshing! The burger and fries I had were amazing and the burger was cooked perfectly! I will say at almost $19 dollars for the smash burger, I wouldn't go out of my way to get it again because the price was not worth the flavor to me! 14 North was walking distance from our Airbnb, and I would say is a perfect pregame spot! When me and my friend went, we were one of the only ones there, which we were surprised about, but we did go on the earlier side. I loved how they had different size options, and you were able to mix as many flavors as you wanted! My drink mixed together perfectly and was very refreshing on a hot, humid day! Each one had just the right amount of alcohol as well, so getting the fish bowl for just myself wasn't bad at all. The restaurant is really nice clean, modern, and gives off an upscale Fat Tuesday's vibe with a classy twist. Parking was super easy and close by, which is always a plus. My friend and I sat at the bar and the service was quick, the bartender was okay nothing to call home about. For drinks, we both ordered a strawberry and mango daiquiri mix which was amazing so refreshing in this summer heat. You have the option to add a shooter for $4. I wasn't starving this day so for I went straight for the main and for a southwest salad and added shrimp- this was amazing! Everything about this salad was tasty. I have revisited quite a few times in between and tried other menu items however the salad remains my favorite. The inside is clean and they have a huge bathroom which I appreciated. They advertise themselves as a daquiri bar and are set up with all the different slush machines behind the bar - they advertise 15+ different flavors to choose from. We ended up choosing the Hurricane - I've had better, but it was still pretty good. They offer multiple different sizes of daquiris, so just make sure to specify which one you want - they'll default you to the 16oz otherwise. The restaurant is connected to a comedy club, so the food is typical of what you would expect at a comedy show. The Island Bowl w/ Jerk Chicken was decent. While I wouldn't necessarily refer to the chicken as jerk chicken, it was still tasty nonetheless. Good service here. Our service was super friendly and efficient. I just decided to order the Hurricane. He got a mixture of like 4 drinks. His tasted pretty good. Our bartender asked if we would like floaters and he said, Yes. Now, for context, I can hold my liquor. I like to drink. I had one glass of champagne at dinner so was not drunk at all. He also had a glass of champagne at dinner. We drank these drinks and both thought they had little alcohol. Not drunk or anything walking in where we would not "feel" the alcohol. We each had a small drink. There is a medium I think and then a glass you can take home and get a discount if you bring it back next time. We were going to the comedy show next door and knew there was a 2 drink minimum per person. So, just stuck with one drink each. He also bought a photo of us. That is nice they have someone come around to take photos. I think for the prices they charge, the drink should be stronger and/or bigger. Visited 14 North courtesy of Yelp for their "Yelp event" Ok, so I envisioned the event being a table set up with Yelpers and their plus ones, but it turned out to be a regular dining experience. Go in, pick seats and be assisted. We went in around 11am, gave our names and immediately were assisted. I asked our waitress Emilia for an overview of what was available for the event and she provided a thorough explanation. For drinks we had 4 of the 16oz daiquiris. We had a variety: Superman which Pina colada, strawberry fields and Dania blue; Pina colada and strawberry fields; a mix of all of the daiquiri flavors and a mix of the Hennessy options! The Hennessy was my fav of them all. For food we had the brunch bistec, which was tasty; The arepas de choclo was ok. I ate a top layer of the arepa as the cheese wasn't completely melted throughout. The Bahama conch pancakes was super spicy and we couldn't completely enjoy. Lastly, the sunny isles salad with salmon was ok as well. Overall, the experience was great. For entrees we got 14N French toast, brunch bistec, and banana foster waffles. I really love love love the brunch bistec, it came with steak, fried plantains, yucca fries, avocado and a egg. You can choose the style of your eggs, very flavor and very delicious, you have to get a piece of everything in one bite, perfect combination. The French toast was also very good, sweet and flavorful. I did not really like the banana foster waffles, it was a bit in the dry end. Overall, I would love to come back and try some more items on their menu, we can during lunch so we just order off that menu, but they also have another menu you can order from.
