Amazing drinks and with plenty of options . read more

Social Room - Lounges Near Me - Hollywood, Florida

The server we had was super sweet. I loved the vibe of the restaurant. The BBQ habanero wings were good buy but pretty spicy, I loved the guacamole, the buffalo chicken flatbread was disgusting, the chicken quesadilla was ok. I probably wouldn't go there for the food but would go there to have some drinks with friends for sure. read more

I have never felt so disrespected by a business. We made a reservation ONE WEEK IN ADVANCE because we were celebrating my wife's birthday and wanted to watch the Portugal vs. Colombia game. A few days before, one of the employees even messaged us asking us to arrive a little earlier because they expected the place to be busy. We did exactly that. When we arrived, the place was completely packed and security told us they weren't letting anyone else in because they were at full capacity. We explained that we had a reservation, and they still refused to let us in. Think about that for a second... What is the point of making a reservation if the restaurant/bar can simply overfill the place and leave the people who actually reserved standing outside? When we finally spoke to the manager, he insisted our reservation was for 7:00 p.m., even though we specifically made it for 7:30 p.m. because the game started at 7:30. Why would we intentionally book 7:00 and then show up "late" to the very event we planned the birthday around? It made absolutely no sense. Whether someone entered our reservation incorrectly, changed the time without telling us, or simply decided to ignore reservations once the crowd came in, the result was the same: they did not honor our reservation. Meanwhile, we were standing outside with balloons, a birthday cake, decorations, and friends arriving to celebrate. It was embarrassing, frustrating, and heartbreaking. At the last minute we had to change all of our plans because of their lack of organization and communication. The manager said he would "see if he could make us a corner outside," made us wait, and then came back and simply said it wasn't possible. That was it. No real solution. No accountability. No attempt to make things right. I genuinely liked this place before this happened, which honestly makes this even more disappointing. But now I know that a reservation here means absolutely nothing when they decide to let too many people in. If you're planning a birthday, celebration, or any special occasion, be very careful. Don't assume your reservation guarantees you a table, because apparently it doesn't. They will prioritize filling the place over honoring commitments they made to their customers. A reservation should mean something. At this place, unfortunately, it doesn't. read more

PUB CRAWL 5th stop... This bar reminded me of an old college lounge bar with a full liquor bar and beers on tap or bottles - but No Happy Hour here. The outside front patio was decent with wooden tables and chairs. The bartender was straight forward and professional but far from a firecracker personality. On weekend nights they have a live DJ playing tunes from a booth 10pm - 2am. They had a really cool backyard play area with that green astro turf, tons of chairs and tables with plenty of games for fun. I could see this area being a blast when busy. In addition, they had at the front of the bar stand up retro arcade games - Street Fighter II, Donkey Kong and Ms Pac -Man. Already knew I was not going to stay here long so I grabbed a quick cold bottle of beer for a reasonable price, left and onto the next bar. Very clean bathroom. read more

As always the Bartenders were attentive and drinks are made on point. We were there for a birthday celebration weeks ago! We will definitely come back and the backyard is great when you want some fresh air. Cool atmosphere and good vibes! Thank you guys for the service and attentiveness! read more

Social room is always a vibe! Whether you're coming here for happy hour, after dinner, or out to celebrate a late night, this is a great place in Hollywood for anyone to have a good time. Service is amazing, the bartenders are friendly, professional & super attentive. They have happy hour till 8pm which we LOVE! Their typical bar food is delicious; warning... you'll smell it and definitely want to place an order. Their variety of music and DJs is unmatched in downtown Hollywood. Ask anyone who's been here, they come back & tell their friends! read more

This is my type of bar. Low key vibes. Games. Good custom drink menu. I haven't had any food from here yet, but the drinks are good, the servers are cool, and they have cool theme nights like Karaoke and movie nights. read more

You can't really go wrong here. Comfortable and friendly atmosphere, decent drink selection, competent service, plenty of games and entertainment to keep you occupied, a reasonable bar food menu, etc. My friend and I did find the sound level a bit too high indoors for comfortable conversation, though, so we ended up sitting on one of the tables facing the street. I'd like to return for karaoke (on Mondays, I believe). I hear it draws a crowd. read more

Happy New Year!!! Welcome to my first review of the year. Every time I go to the Social Room, it gets better and better. I love all the options. It's tough to decide between the outdoor backyard patio, with larger than life sized Jenga and Connect Four, and the intimate and seductive ambiance of the interior lounge/dancefloor. Social is the type of place you can come early, stay late, and never get bored. The bartenders and their signature cocktails are outstanding. The Old Fashioned always hits the spot. I haven't eaten here yet, but if the vibes are any indication, the food should be spectacular. My fondness for places where you can chill for a bit, but has such good music that you can strut your stuff if you feel like it, is well satiated at the Social Room. This was not my first time here, but I can assure you, this is a place I will recommend to anyone looking to have a range of experiences that all equal a good time. read more

Local bar/lounge off of Harrison Street in Hollywood just west of youngs circle. Dropped in to meet up with out of towners that were here for the holidays. Barcstaff is friendly and fast. They also have seating out side in the from as well as on a back patio-ish area. They not only serve alcohol but also do a few food options as well. read more

Visited Social Room on a Tuesday night and they had a great special with $3 tacos and $7 tequila drinks. Our group tried a few different drinks, including a smokey tequila old fashioned. We enjoyed them all! I wasn't too crazy about the tacos. I tried chicken, shrimp, and beef. The beef was pretty good, but I'd skip the others next time. In the outdoor area there are a few games like jenga, cornhole, and connect four. The music was good, and we received great service from Malia. read more

I'm a semi regular at Social Room for the great vibe, close location, and awesome bartenders Leo and Rachelle are the best....I love this place! Then I met Jasmine, and she took it to another level. Super attentive, excellent at her job, and just a pleasure to be around. I'll keep coming anyway, but now I'm especially excited for Sundays just to see her. Highly recommend! read more

The date is 15 February. This is. our usual bar, but when we walked in for some reason, the girl behind the bar gave us attitude. Slammed our drinks down. I said, sorry did I do something wrong? She doubled down and ssid no! We paid and led after this awful interaction. Yeah yeah. read more

Nice little bar just off the main strip in downtown. Interesting cocktails, good DJ, good service. May just be a little overpriced for what it is, however. Note: there are only two (private) bathrooms for the whole place, so there can be a line at times. read more

You know it's a good time when even your mom who doesn't drink wants to join in on the fun. My mom, sister, and girl came thru on a Saturday night. It wasn't very packed which was perfect for a chill night. The outside patio is full of fun games like Jenga, connect 4, etc. Music was loud but not overbearing and Dj was playing a good mix of genres. You won't break the bank there, the prices were midrange, about $12-$13 for a drink. The only thing I would change is the bartenders.. they did not seem happy to be there and it was an odd vibe. All in all. Happy I went! read more

Social Room - Jenga inside the bar! We had a wobbly table which made the game even more fun! - Lounges Near Me - Hollywood, Florida

Went on a Saturday like around 7 pm to meet up with some friends, it wasn't busy inside, no waiting or crowds to push thru. The service was OK, the food not too great. We ordered cheese + pepperoni pizza, quesadillas (chicken and beef?) + chips/salsa (not good at all). The food was mediocre although if you want small bites and something just to pick on, it seems ideal but just very basic. Luckily it wasn't too expensive. read more

It's a tiny bar with young people with terrible taste in music. They need more space if they want it to be club like dancing.

From reading the reviews, I expected a little bit more out of Social Room. I like a good dive, but the space felt smaller than I anticipated. The outdoor area with games looked fun, but they were all full by the time we got there (not as much space as I thought). The DJ was also playing good dancing music, but there isn't much of a dance floor area. We tried dancing in the empty space, but it was a little awkward because it was lined with tables so people sitting down were just watching you. I did like the little couch areas to relax and play table games like jenga, but overall I'm not sure that I'd come back. One positive was the good sized draft beer menu, but my beer was served way too cold & almost felt frozen. Food: N/A Drinks: C+ Service: C+ Ambiance: C+ read more

Social Room - Back outside seating with music and something to watch + drinks of course! - Lounges Near Me - Hollywood, Florida

Went out with my dad for a night outing. I wanted to show my dad around the area that I had just moved to, so we came to this place as one of our stops for the evening. Went to the bar to order a couple drinks and couldn't get one. Everyone around us got drinks served except us. So we left and spent our money elsewhere. Both bartenders would make eye contact with us and keep it moving. What a lame experience to have with your parent for a night outing in a new city. Never going back here again. Wish it was a no star rating. read more

The social room is a vibe I love going to social room. I feel like every time I go in here. I'm back in college. You know a place to hang out and chill. Get to know people and meet new people. This place is so cute. It has outdoors benches and table and inside has lounging area and tables. It has a perfect name of Social Room because it's just that. Hubby and I had drinks and was playing Jenga. The back area has an outdoor cozy patio but it was crowded. No one was wearing masks and was so close to each other. Up front area was a less crowded. We didn't order food but I saw others who did and it looks good. The women bathroom was disgusting. I did not want to use the restroom there so we left and went down the street for another drink. read more

Came here for a much needed ladies night and we all loved the ambiance! On Friday nights ladies' drinks are half off which was perfect. The bartender was friendly and made delicious drinks, you have to try the "Game changer" and "super like". There was a dj playing inside the bar area but you can hear the music from outside. I really enjoyed the backyard, very chill setting with lots of games to play with groups. The food was fanatic and well priced, we ordered to share the grilled cheese, tacos and nachos. It started to get packed by 10pm in the backyard but everyone around us was nice. What I loved most was it wasn't too loud that you have issues talking with the people you are with. Definitely coming back as they have specials everyday. read more

Food Fun Vibes. Think of Wynwood but a smaller scale. There's Jenga, Connect Four, A DJ, Giant Fans - it's cool. It's a date nite spot or a space for groups. In a market where bar & entertainment venue options often seem to feel over saturated with a lack of genuine quality service and non-pretentious vibes, it is an absolute relief to have a place like Social Room. At the heart of its undeniable "at-home" esthetic - Comfortable lounge seating, classic board and arcade games, and a back patio with a "friend's backyard" vibe - is a Team whose dynamic personalities truly make this place special. The Team's core - Claudia, Leo, Rachelle, and Rafy - have been together essentially from the start and are without question among the best of their craft in the hospitality industry. This is a group who takes the time to get to know their guests and treat all who enter as if they were visiting their own homes. They each, in their own unique way, naturally and effortlessly blend their high-level bar skills with real care and charisma. This crew is why regulars fall in love with this place and the reason why you want to go back again and again. For all these reasons, my wife and I decided to hold our post-wedding celebration here and nowhere else, and it was perfection. From flawless planning with Rocky, the group's Event Coordinator, to the top-notch energy and service provided by Claudia & Rafy, our friends and family truly had the best of times and cannot say enough about their experience. So the next time you need to find a venue for your next private event, or even an intimate gathering amongst friends, look no further than Downtown Hollywood. Social Room delivers on all fronts and will surely continue to do so for years to come. Thank you all! read more

I'm very disappointed, I been to this place many many times and gained alot of fun memories here. However, one day I showed up with 4 friends and when I walked through security I was told that I cannot go inside because I'm wearing Michael Kors slides. It doesn't seem like a big deal but me and my friends got dressed and ready to come to this place just to be turned down because I'm wearing all black slides (which btw were 200$, not cheap ones by any means) which matched the color of my socks so you couldn't even tell I wearing them unless you looked directly at my feet. And ironically the girls I were with were also wearing slides and I asked what about my friends? And he said because their girls its okay.. It sucks because we wasted so much time, I was just looking to have a good time and a security guard that just felt like being an a**hole can ruin your entire night :/ P.S. it was the skinny white security guy read more

Located in downtown Hollywood where you have access to other bars or stores in the area. It's a nice spot to chill. It reminded me of a Wynwood spot, but in Hollywood with games in the back outside patio. Inside was darkly lit with minimal seating. There is a DJ, however on the specific night I went his music selection did not flow. It was all over the place and not in one genre. I guess he played a little music for everyone. I thought it was ladies night from what I read on the yelp reviews however it was only happy hour which ended 30 minutes after we got there. Hopefully they would update the website or their yelp to talk about the specials. The food menu is very limited. They have small bites. Not a big variety. I ate a quesadilla. read more

This place at times are a total hit or miss. The inside is very darkly dimmed with a full stocked bar and some indoor seating. The seats inside typically have games you can play such as connect 4 , uno, or additional games. The outside patio is nice has large Jenna you can play too. The food is here is bare minimum options limited not a full stocked kitchen. Food examples are chicken wings, nachos, tacos , NO FRIES (super shocking). The music is also very odd because the dj tends to play in various genres but drags out certain songs more than others. It's super hard to explain you would have to hear it yourself. Parking is hard since it's major construction in downtown Hollywood currently. But right behind the bar is a parking garage with pretty low prices. I would recommend parking there rather than the small 6 car lot next door. read more

Cute little spot, outdoor and indoor seating. Pretty good HH selection which is ALWAYS a win in my book. Drinks were served in plastic cups (even inside) and I'm not sure if this is SOP or due to COVID (hopefully only due to COVID). Good cocktails!!! I just needed to highlight that again :0) HH also includes some bites which is FANTASTIC! I would def recommend this for a bit of a date spot or even just to grab a drinks with friends, do a meet up (after COVID dies down, of course) - its a great venue :0) read more
