So, Loved this place the last few times i was here. Stopped in for a drink on my way to visit my son. Ordered a Tito's on the rocks from Lacy who literally had no personality! Seriously on the borderline of rude! After ordering my drink, she proceeded to have a full blown discussion with another customer that already had a drink. She eventually poured my drink still without a smile and set it down without a coaster when everyone else had one as the bar top got wet. Asked for a lime and she gave me a lemon, it was such a strange encounter. The other bartender Emily was a ball of fire with a great personality perfect for the industry and the longevity of this relatively new bar but crazy that she splits her tips with Lacy. After five minutes, it was enough and poured the rest of my drink into a cup and left fast. The hostess was very sweet. I'm a Dania Beach local and have been looking for new places to try. I found Lucky Fish online and saw they had a pretty nice happy hour right on the water. Parking is paid and more on the expensive side ($5/hr). I went in and sat at the outside bar. I was greeted by a bartender and given a regular menu, not including a happy hour menu. When she came back to ask what I wanted to drink, I asked for a hh menu. She turned, gave me one, and walked away without saying a word. Then forgot about me for almost 10 minutes. When she came back over she said, "so sorry. What are you drinking". I ordered the orange crush and chicken nachos. The orange crush tasted like watered down orange juice, and the chicken nachos were a good size, but underwhelming. Then I ordered a Hugo spritz. It was decent, not great. This restaurant is nice with beautiful views of the ocean, but the service is a little disconnected and it felt like I was forgotten because I wasn't one of the locals at the bar. read more

I came here with my cousins as we had stopped here at Lucky Fish for a seaview escape. We a really good experience from start to finish. The atmosphere was relaxing with a perfect beachside vibe, while the food came out fresh, flavorful, and nicely presented, especially the fish tacos, fish sandwiches, and conch fritters. The service was friendly, a little of the attentiveness, and quick even with the place being busy during weekend rush. Was looking for a happy hour near the water. Came across Lucky Fish. We sat under the tiki facing the beautiful blue ocean. The bar opened about one year ago. It has a large bar in the center and many high tops surrounding it. Definitely a breezy and cool day. Glad I had a jacket with me, well worth it with that view. Our waitress was amazing, friendly and checked on us often. We ordered a few cocktails on the happy hour menu as well as the chicken nachos. Drinks were tasty however filled with too much ice. I would have never known about this little hidden gem locked away at the end of Hollywood Beach and entering Dania Beach. Specious outdoor restaurant. You can go as casual with swimsuit coverup and flip flops, to jeans and a little nicer. Nearby meter parking available for the beach goes and restaurants $5 per hour. Valet parking is offered for a fee as well. The menu has a good selection seafood, chicken , burgers and salad. I requested the tuna nachos with pineapple! It was so fresh and tasty that I wanted more with every bite. We also ordered a platter that came with Fried Grouper, fried shrimp, conch and fries. That was also delish! My first wine glass had lip prints, my second had visible food chunks inside and my third again had lip prints. The service is great and the location is too! The hh is a good deal. Stopped by for dinner and it was quite windy on the evening we dined. Everything is mostly open to the elements so it was quite challenging trying to enjoy our meal without everything flying away. The tuna poke nachos are so good and such a unique take on nachos! I get these every time I'm at Lucky Fish. There is plenty of parking available but you pay for it hourly. They have bicycle parking under the restaurant which is neat and appreciated! This place was great. We came over St. Patrick's Day weekend and it was super busy. They sat us right away. They got us drinks right away and they got us food right away. I do have to say they had brought fries right away, which seemed like they were kind of cold so I don't know if they just grabbed someone else's that was sitting there and delivered it to us because they wanted to make sure that we got it right away either way we got everything very fast so love it. The vibe is so cool on the beach. You have a little Khots highly recommend especially on an awesome summer spring warm day.. we had the pokey nachos, which is definitely a win! read more

An old shack bar reopened seven months ago as a massive opportunity for beach goers and local Dania Beach residents to enjoy a new tiki restaurant. Live mixed music playing today which we listened to while we ate at the custom wooden bar. Each table was covered by a tiki for shade but today was a torrential down pour for a full hour flooding the parking lot. They do offer a covered bicycle shed for non-drivers. Ordered a cold craft beer and a fish dip which was not bad. Fun attentive staff and good conversation with down to earth patrons. When we first got there, we were a little bit concerned because they were packed, and we heard one of the waitresses saying that they were shortstaffed. We were very pleased to see that being shortstaffed for this restaurant simply means that everyone kicks it in the high gear and helps out! We saw the kitchen staff come out delivering food, the manager was making sure everything was going well, and the waitresses were really hustling. The view was beautiful, and they even had live music on a Wednesday night. My husband has a shrimp wrap with chicken instead of shrimp and loved it, and my Caesar salad was also very good. We will definitely add this to our list of places to come when here in Miami, which is pretty often. read more

I honestly loved everything about my visit to Lucky Fish this past week. They are located in Dania Beach so it's very convenient to get to from all directions. Dania Beach is already a good time and this adds to that experience. The decor is perfect giving off a Tropical vacation vibe. There seems to be plenty of seating and it seemed very clean, including the bathrooms. Our server was very nice and attentive. A friendly face is always appreciated. Nice restaurant and bar. My friend and I tried it for the first time. The place is fairly large with two sections, all outdoors but covered. One section seems to be more bar related and the other more restaurant. It was a Thursday evening and they had some live entertainment. We couldn't see the guy because we were in the restaurant portion, but we could hear him, and it sounded like a mediocre karaoke performance. It was not busy. We had great seats facing the ocean.....you couldn't get a better view. We both ordered the fish bowl, which came with mahi, or you could have had shrimp or chicken. It came with rice, beans, and corn. It was good, but not great. I need to ask for extra sauce. Our server was nice, but a little unresponsive, for example, there were silverware and glasses from previous customers right by us that were not taken away. The prices were not bad at all for a beach venue. You do have to pay for parking since it is right by the ocean. I would come here again because of the nice environment, and try ordering something else. read more

First lets start off by saying that a bar that is open for breakfast is pretty good in my mind. We searched for somewhere to hole up after our cruise until our 5pm flight. This was open, looked like a great venue and had good food reviews. We arrived after a couple other rideshares so obviously we weren't the only ones that had this thought. We found a table that faced out to the ocean, okay this was not hard as there was only a couple tables in use. We were there for probably 5 hours and the place had an ebb and flow filling up and cycling through customers. They had some decent beers on tap and their coffee was drinkable. The food was spot on. We had the sampler appetizer and the grouper was fantastic. The conch fritters were a solid meh. you would not be able to actually tell if there was conch in there or not. We had poke nachos which were huge. Nice chunks of poke and the chips were not greasy. Those were the memorable dishes, but nothing was bad and the wait staff were very pleasant to us. read more

Such a great beach restaurant with amazing food and views! I'm not gonna lie, I was skeptical. I expected it to be a tourist trap with not great food, and I was extremely wrong. The food, service, ambience, and views can't be beat. The view is amazing, right on Dania Beach! It's set back a little from the water and sits a little higher, so you still get a nice breeze even on a hot day. Parking is $10 which isn't ideal, but they can't do anything about that. I started with a piña colada, which was perfect for a summer day at the beach. It has real pieces of coconut in it too! Most of the menu is seafood, but I ordered the blackened chicken tacos. It comes with two which I thought wouldn't be enough to fill me, but they were huge and I couldn't even finish! The flavor of the blackened chicken and sriracha aioli was perfect-not overly spicy and the perfect complement to the fresh mango. Pro tip: get the sriracha on the side so you can dip your chips in it. The chips are seasoned by the way, and so good. My family was all super happy with their dishes as well. I stole a couple fries, which were also seasoned and really good. Our waitress was super nice as well. Lucky Fish isn't your average beach shack. The food and ambiance are amazing. Met a friend who lives in Dade County here today for lunch. This was about half way for each of us and we both love "playing tourist". We each used to come to the beach here many years ago and remembered when this spot was the old divey hotdog stand. This was a lovely restaurant. There are two sides -- one more concrete and one more tiki bar. I chose to sit on the side with the ambiance. Both areas are covered but open air. Luckily there was a nice breeze off the ocean making it comfortable. They don't have valet parking during the week -- only on weekends. We both used the parking app for a space along the beach side. The cost was $10.45 for two hours. You walk up stairs to get to the raised areas of the restaurant. They do take reservations thru the Resy app, but they weren't needed mid week in May. We had good and attentive service. The gal answered questions and remembered all my friend's special requests. We were so busy talking and catching up that I forgot to check in and forgot to take food photos! That rarely happens for me. I'd had a week's worth of seafood while on a recent mini vacay, so was craving a burger. I got their classic smash cheeseburger and it was very good. Came with american cheese, lettuce, tomato, pickles, and a sauce. I got coleslaw as my side. I really liked that also. The other side choice is fries. My friend got the half pound peel 'n eat shrimp, cold. It had a touch of old bay sprinkled on top. She said it was very good. We didn't try any of their special cocktails, but they have a long list of tropical libations. Prices are fairly reasonable for food -- especially in this area -- plus we got the spectacular beach scenery. I'd definitely come back here, again. We've been waiting for Lucky Fish to open and it did not disappoint. We hung out at the beach all morning and then stopped in for some lunch on a Saturday afternoon and it was packed. The hostess said it would be an hour + wait but we got a call back in 20 mins. Staff were all friendly, although we did go close to when it just opened and it was a little chaotic. Great views across from the ocean. I got the double smash burger and it was great, juicy and packed with flavor. I like the bread to be a little softer but it was still really good. As regular beachgoers we had been dying to go to Lucky Fish, but unfortunately the experience didn't live up to the hype. Vibes: 5 out of 5. The views alone make this place a great place to hang out. We ate on the balcony/patio where we were able to see the ocean and catch a great breeze. For anyone interested in a nice beach view with your meal, this one is tough to beat in the area. Food: 3 out of 5. The food was underwhelming. We got two appetizers and a BLTA to split as well as two drinks. Our drinks were great and came relatively quickly. The food came quick too. Unfortunately, it was not good. Our fresh guacamole was not good. When it arrived, my wife took a bite and immediately asked if it looked off. I tried it and it tasted as if the avocado used had started to go bad. They attempted to replace it with a new one, but it didn't taste much better. The pineapple jerk wings tasted good, but unfortunately we couldn't taste any pineapple. The BLTA was good. The food reminded us of the tourist restaurants on Hollywood Or Ft Lauderdale Beach based on taste and price. Service: 4 out of 5. I'm giving it three stars because my French fries were cold, and the waitress never checked on us once the food arrived at the table. My water cup was empty while I was eating. I dined here at 12:00 p.m. on a Friday, so the place wasn't packed, but it did have a decent crowd. As a local, there are a lot better dining options in the city, but definitely a convenient spot if you're at the beach. read more
