Stopped by Señor Frog's Hollywood Beach just to grab a draft beer instead of going to our usual spot, Nick's. We walked up to the bar closest to the outside entrance and were told we couldn't be served because we weren't wearing shoes. I understand having rules, but you're literally serving patrons steps from the beach. More importantly, if you're going to enforce a dress code, at least enforce it consistently. While we were being turned away, there was a family at the bar with their children sitting on the bar, while the father was standing there shirtless and shoeless. So apparently being barefoot is a problem depending on who is asking for service? You're in a prime beachfront location with people naturally walking up from the sand. Maybe a little common sense and consistency with how the policy is enforced would go a long way. We were ready to spend money, instead we walked away and took our business elsewhere. First off, disregard all of the short 5 star reviews. I guarantee that most of them are either from the employees, or purchased. This is my honest experience eating here. Food was decent, we ordered the chip trio and most of the chips were stale, and looked like someone had crushed them into small pieces. I got the munchies burger that was part of the trio combo that came with a drink, an entree, and appetizer. The chips and salsa that I had received with my combo had much fresher and bigger chips than the dip trio. The part that deserves the 2 stars is the service and music. I understand that people come here to party and drink, but we were literally the only people in the building and the music was still blaring even at 5 pm on a Sunday. I guess some people like to party early. The big takeaway was the service of the waitress. It genuinely felt like she was just there for the money. We had requested more napkins that come with the silverware since the only ones that were at the table were small square ones. She denied it and said "they were only for the silverware" even though it was simply a bigger napkin. Me and my father both ordered coke zeros and they sat empty for at least 20 minutes and our server didn't even mention refilling it. Even when she came to collect our dishes she never spoke a word. Not to mention the fact that a $20 tip was already applied before we even got the check. Besides all of that, if you're looking for a place to eat in the area, this should be the last place you should think of. We had such an amazing time here! They are constantly playing fun music, playing games to win different things, and all having a great time. We were so lucky to have an amazing server named Aslen. She was very welcoming and very attentive. The food was delicious! We ordered chips and guacamole which I didn't even get a picture because we dove right in. We had carne asada tacos and chicken quesadillas. We loved that nothing was overly seasoned. We left and came back for dessert. The churros come in a helicopter tray. The staff comes and even does a dance when they bring it to your table. Such a great time! The manager, Troy, was also very nice. He's definitely doing a great job. We will definitely be back! I had a great experience and am absolutely planning to come back. I came with a group of friends and we had a blast. We all ordered different yard drinks in their famous cups that you can take home. We also ordered some appetizers for the table and I liked the pretzel bites. We came around 3pm on a weekend and they had a host do a lot of activities for the crowd. There were contests in which you could win a free shot. Some of the people in our group won a shot. They also had 00s hits playing and everyone was having a great time. Now, you have to go to this place with an understanding that this is not going to be a prime dining experience. These are also not the best cocktails you're gonna have in your life. Again, bears repeating, this is not the place you go if you're expecting white gloves and if you're wearing your Armani finest #justsaying There's a DJ MC organizing various fun challenges for shots, free drinks, and the waitresses will give you funny stickers, or put funny cutie flags behind your chair. The drinks are large and largest, frozen, and the right amount of alcohol for a beach day. Besides the alcohol, I enjoyed their chicken burrito, which was actually pretty well loaded with meat and had the right amount in flavor of toppings. My lady friend ordered a plate of chicken nachos. We had a very disappointing experience due to extremely rude management, specifically Troy. My boyfriend and I purchased multiple drinks (3-4 total) and refilled the same drink, yet he was denied access to the restroom and told we were not paying customers--which was simply not true. Even after calmly explaining that we had made purchases, Troy was dismissive and unwilling to listen. From the beginning, his attitude was unprofessional and hostile. He then escalated the situation by calling me rude and even threatened to call the police, despite the fact that we continued to make another purchase. This kind of treatment toward paying customers is unacceptable. We felt disrespected and unfairly treated, and it completely ruined our experience. read more

I lived on Hllywd beach and good food is really hard to find and if you find it, it's inconsistently good. We went back to the restaurant around 9:15pm ish and were seated. The Bahama Mama I ordered was not good. We also ordered chips and salsa. I love salsa and this one I barely touched. It had a blk pepper finish that ruined it for me. Part of our order was $54: My drink, 2 Modelos and the aforementioned chips/salsa. The tip is included. The server was okay. The menu didn't have all the drink prices listed. I would not go back. We explained to him that we didn't intend to drink anything, and he said he'd work out a deal on the price of the food if we left a good review mentioning his name. Well, we did exactly that. My original review is found below. We left a 5-star review mentioning Fabian, per his request. Upon receiving the bill however, there was no discount that was applied. Instead, he added an additional 20 DOLLAR service charge, tipping himself! Very sleezy, will not be visiting this place again. Stopped in at Senor Frog's well before the day crowd arrived for breakfast. Admittedly, it's not the first place you'd think of for opening meal but they honestly knocked it out of the park. Had the Breakfast Burrito and a breakfast sandwich. They were both excellent, the Burrito was on of the best I've had in a long time. Both came with a side of fresh salsa. Our host / server was Jonathon and he was a rock star. Engaging and entertaining, he kept us laughing from the moment we arrived. A real credit to the restaurant. my only complain was there really wasn't any coffee available. If you're going to do breakfast, get some tall mugs, a drip coffee maker, and keep the refills coming. The place was empty and not inviting. We asked why we were charged so much for the two drinks as they were not big nor could you taste the liquor. They replied that the price may be due to the fact that they are located on the beach. We will never go back there again. Was our first and last time.
