The food was great! We had the mini tuna tacos that were fabulous! The crispy little taco with the nice tuna bucks on mashed guacamole with a little wasabi sauce on the side. Also had the shrimp tacos and the seasoned fries with the little garlicky cream sauce on the side. Everything fantastic! Wish I lived close by to go more often. read more

This was a great find.. let me start by saying that I really wanted a Bellini or mimosa and had read they don't have alcohol.. but I was so happy that they do! They have a small cocktails and wine list which is perfect for this spot. The Bellinis were amazing. We came with a group from a soccer game, so there were 9 of us and they easily put tables together to accommodate us. The waiter said he could not split our check up during brunch time (too busy / too much work).. but he didn't mind multiple cards for even split, so it was easy anyway. Located in a strip mall on Griffin Road just west of University Dr, this spot serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner which seems to be hard to come by nowadays. I have been for breakfast and lunch but haven't made it out for dinner...yet. The first visit a while ago, the food was good but service was a little off. My recent visit however was spot on for both!! I was told they take reservations for Friday for breakfast but not on Saturday or Sunday. We went around 9:30 just to be safe as they mentioned it gets super busy around 11-1 on weekends. It was nice and chill vibe, no fancy or frill, just a good, cute, solid neighborhood spot. Coffee is good and strong and plentiful. I got the huevos rancheros which were constructed a little different than normal but it worked. The egg yolks were cooked a runny perfection. My friends both got the veggie omelet and said it was one of the best they ever had. What I can vouch for is there potato wedges are next level potato perfection. Don't sleep on these. My wife picked this restaurant. The food was very good. She ate the shrimp tacos and I had the mushroom burger. Everything was very flavorful. I ate the burger with a knife and fork. We were in the neighborhood, I've been meaning to try it for a while. When we arrived around noon they were serving brunch. We were sat very quickly and given menus and drinks ordered. Service is very nice and quick. My wife opted for the Cesar salad with grilled chicken and I had the Fat Stork egg sandwich. The salad was very fresh and plentiful with lots of grilled chicken. My sandwich was very large, eggs were fluffy and cheesy, it had bacon and avocado on a brioche bun with potato wedges and a garlic aioli for dipping. We finished with 2 espressos. Literally can not think of ANYTHING bad to say about this place and this is after multiple visits! The staff here is impeccable and the food is always been one that is a swing and a homerun. The location is easy to find and there is a nice amount of seating in the place as well as it being spaced out so I don't feel like I am on top of other parties that are eating here at the same time as I am. I have gotten different burgers each time that I am here and the burgers have been amazing and cooked perfectly each time I order them. The best burger I have had from them was the mushroom burger which has bacon, cheese, chipotle mayo, grilled onions and hot pepper bacon jam. The flavors all blended beautifully and the bacon jam had a amazing consistency to it. The burger is insanely huge and so filling that I had to take some home for leftovers! Their fries are also seasoned with something that is out of this world and has an amazing dipping sauce! The prices are reasonable, the burger being about $18 dollars. Yes a little pricey but the burger is massive and great quality and you get a side of fries with it as well! Been here twice -- it's midway between my gallery and my friend's office, in an out of the way strip mall next to a Chana's. But it makes a great meeting point. The décor is Route 66 chic: plastic vines on one wall facing faux brick on the other, little LED lights along the walls and drop ceiling, industrial aluminum seating, and black pleather booths. We decided to try Fat Stork after reading some reviews. When we walked in, the restaurant was dimly lit, which gave a calming effect, but it was uncomfortably hot inside. We mentioned it to an employee and were told the air conditioning was out, with only portable air conditioning and fans running. Unfortunately, it made dining there unpleasant. At one point, all I wanted to do was go home and go to sleep. We were given a breakfast/brunch menu ( it was after 2 in the afternoon) but noticed other tables ordering short ribs after we had already placed our order. Service was another miss--our server brought both drinks as sweetened iced tea when one was supposed to be unsweetened. I didn't care for the tea, so I asked for a bottle of mineral water, and later realized we were charged for both. When we brought it up, the employee brushed it off and casually offered to return the money in cash, but by then my husband had already paid by card and just let it go. The food itself was fine--I had a nova bagel sandwich and my husband had a BLT - good but nothing special. Overall, the experience fell short due to the uncomfortable temperature, service missteps, and attitude in general. I'd been wanting to try The Fat Stork for a while, so I was happy when my cousins suggested it for dinner. Unfortunately, the experience didn't quite meet expectations. We were told the AC was out but that portable units were in place. Still, it was pretty warm inside. We started with chips and guac, but the portion was mostly chips and a very small scoop of guacamole. When we asked about it, the server said the chef wouldn't adjust it, which was disappointing. The burgers & steak were cooked perfectly. My tacos were piping hot & absolutely loaded with steak. These are far from a traditional taco but they absolutely nailed what they were going for. The cabbage slaw, pickled onions & pico de gallo all come together to make a really flavorful dish. The flour tortillas were grilled to a nice char. The jalapeño mashed potatoes were also really good; the French fries were crunchy & delicious. There's a good variety to their menu so I was already eyeballing some things for my next visit. I don't know why it took me so long to get here when I'd been hearing such great things about it but now that I've been here I'll be a regular for sure! It has very cute interior and they had some great music in the background that wasn't so loud that you couldn't talk to others at your table. My husband decided on the bleu cheese burger with fries as his side and I opted for the churrasco steak with homemade mashed potatoes as my side. All I can say is wow! The food was so delicious! The burger was so huge and took a lot of skill and maneuvering to figure out how to eat it and the fries were amazing. They had some sort of seasoning on them and were served with a delicious aioli sauce on the side. My churrasco was one of the best I've ever eaten and the chimichurri sauce served with it added the perfect touch. The potatoes were creamy, buttery and so, so good. We were both too full to even split a dessert but there were many delicious sounding options. Service was great and all in all a perfect dinner spot although they also serve breakfast/brunch on the weekends and lunch all week. Saw this spot on a popular Instagram foodie page and wanted to check it out. I originally wanted to try it first for their brunch, but decided to come for dinner instead. Appetizers were super delicious! I really enjoyed the stuffed dates and tuna tacos. The main course was just okay. The food didn't leave such a lasting impression like the appetizers did, but still good. I was a bit disappointed with the jalapeño mashed potato's because they were cold and the jalapeño taste was so subtle that if the word jalapeño wasn't in the title I wouldn't even know it was there. The service was okay. The A/C didn't seem to be working that day and as people were constantly coming and going the service became slower and less attentive. I still would like to go back and try the bunch menu, but since this is a little bit of a drive for me, it won't be a high priority to return. read more

I found this place on Yelp and after looking at the photos I knew I had to try it immediately! We took an uber from our hotel just to eat here! The restaurant is a super causal-low key vibe. That place is easily one of the best hidden gems I've found in Florida. The food is reasonably priced, the portions are generous, and the staff is genuinely friendly--great vibes all around. Imagine my surprise when I pulled up to Fat Stork and realized it is homed in the spot that used to be my favorite Indian restaurant (Bollywood Biryani). My friend and I went for lunch on a Friday. We both ended up getting the BLT that came with chicken and an Arnold Palmer (iced tea mixed with lemonade). They never asked us what kind of bread we wanted. The sandwich came on whole wheat. But it was near perfection. The lettuce was crunchy and fresh. There was an ample amount of bacon and the chicken cutlet was moist. The accompanying French fries reminded me of the kind I fell in love with in Australia (thin, crispy, and slighty seasoned). I didn't think I could do a proper review on a restaurant after having just one thing, and I was intrigued by the rest of the menu. So, I went back the next day for dinner with my husband. While I was there for lunch, I mentioned that it used to be my favorite Indian restaurant and the server told me that they offer Indian food at dinner but that it's not on the menu. (There is no "specials" board, so how would customers know?) When I went back with my husband I asked for the choices. They were chicken tikka masala, coconut chicken, and shrimp. I opted for the coconut chicken. I was fighting a cold and love spicy food; so, I asked for a spice level between medium and spicy. The server insisted that medium would be just fine. It was not. It wasnt spicy enough. And, I am a connoisseur of Indian food (and have been to India). What they served me was chicken tikka masala with coconut flakes thrown in. Coconut curry chicken uses coconut milk and different spices and usually a yellow curry. My husband went for the kebab platter that included a skewer each of chicken, shrimp, fish, and beef. He really liked the shrimp and the beef best. I thought the beef was a bit chewy and the shrimp a tad salty. I really liked the fish and the chicken. He thought both were kind of dry. Of course, he ate them last so they sat there for a bit. Service is excellent here, and as many times as I have been to the restaurant when it was Indian, I've never seen as many people in the dining room. It probably holds about 50 or so and there were at least 40 people having dinner. I plan to return to try brunch and maybe some tacos. The menu is very limited and the mixture a bit unusual (salads, tacos, pasta, burgers, kebabs, brunch). But I think a small menu is a good thing because it provides a proper focus for the meals being prepared. Lunch was about $18 each for a sandwich, beverage, tax, and tip. We came here around 2:30 pm for a late lunch. I've seen the reviews and always wanted to try them. Fat Stork is located in a plaza in Griffin. There's plenty of parking for the location. The restaurant is more like a diner inside. It's mostly booth seating with several tables in the middle. The booths were quite worn. The seat I sat in was sunken in and I can feel the bars of the frame so it wasn't comfortable at all. When we got in the waiter informed us that they were in the middle of transitioning from breakfast to lunch/dinner so it was going to be a 30 minute wait before they are able to take our order. We almost left bc we had starving children. I'm so glad we didn't. We ordered bacon wrapped dates to start. The kids had grilled cheese and sliders. The dates were delish. The dates were stuffed with something, I forgot what now and it was a perfect balance of sweet and savory. I got the filete and my husband got the shrimp tacos. My fish and shrimp were cooked in sauce similar to a lemon caper sauce. It was full of flavor. The fish itself could use some marinating though. My salad that it came with was plentiful. I took a bite of my husband's tacos and I loved the tomato and cabbage blend with the shrimp. All in all, I would definitely go back for a quick bite. The food did not disappoint. read more

I visited this restaurant on a date yesterday and I really enjoyed it. It's a nice fusion restaurant with a variety of different types of food. The service was great, Jacob was our was our server. He was very well educated on the menu and gave. great suggestions it was pretty busy, but they were constantly apologizing and were making sure that they were checking in to see if we were OK which I appreciate appreciated. I will definitely be back to maybe check out their breakfast when I'm in the area. The portions are also very large. To start we got the crispy fried shrimp which was seasoned to perfection and crispy. I ordered the lobster ravioli, which I forgot to take a picture of, but it was literally served in a large baking dish. The portions here are very big. I did not finish it and ended up taking it home. I'm currently eating it now as I write as I write my review, my date got a big burger, which he also did not finish and had to take home as well. The restaurant for some reason was quite hot, I noticed it got a bit uncomfortable. I saw a Facebook post that they had short ribs and it looked absolutely amazing. The ribs aren't listed on their menu because it's a special. They don't always have the ribs so you would need to call before heading over. The Stork is a cute, little quaint place. The server, Jorge greeted us warmly. He immediately brought us the menus and took our drink order. We told him we were ready and wanted to go with the short ribs. The ribs come with one side. Not realizing the ribs were enough for two people, my mom and I were both going to order them. When Jorge realized we were both trying to order them, he told us it was big enough for two. When the ribs came out, our eyes just about bugged out. It was MASSIVE. The ribs were incredibly tender, packed with flavor, had minimal fat, was absolutely delicious and beautiful presentation. When Jorge came over to check on us, we told him they were incredible and to send our compliments to the chef(s). We couldn't finish the ribs and Jorge packed up the leftovers. We loved that he packed the sauce separately from the ribs. There was so much left over that we had it the next night for dinner. It was like four meals in one for us and just as delicious the 2nd night. Every dish that was brought out of the kitchen looked absolutely amazing. Meals were huge and the presentation very appealing. Kudos to the chef(s) who obviously prepare the meals with a lot of love and care. The service was absolutely excellent. We walked in and were the first ones but the restaurant quickly filled by the time we started eating. The menu is perfect because there is a good variety between appetizers, soups, salads and sandwiches. we decided to order the Gyro Pita and the BLT with chicken and bacon. Both were outstanding choices and they came with a basket of seasoned fries. We could have had a salad but thankfully we went with fries because they were so good. Seasoned perfectly which went so well with all the fresh toppings on both sandwiches. The Gyro was loaded with tomatoes, feta cheese, little pieces of fresh peppers, and grilled chicken. It looked like it would be messy but it really wasn't. The small cup of side dressing was so good that I had to dip my fries in it. The BLT was served on toasted wheat bread with some melted cheese and crispy bacon on top of a thin grilled chicken breast. It too had a small side sauce that held all of the lettuce and tomato on it. We didn't order drinks but the drink menu looked fun and I would want to try them on my next visit. The gentleman that greeted us at the door was also our server and he was so polite and always noticed when our water glasses were getting low so that he refilled them. I know that I will be back and my daughter already told her husband that they have to go again since they live so close by. Met some friends for dinner and they recommend we try Fat Stork. Walked in and seated immediately. It's in a strip mall with a cozy decor with a grass wall with lights. Several booths on the sides and tables in the middle. I ordered a large Caesar Salad which was fresh and truffle fries both very tasty. My husband ordered spaghetti and meatballs.
