We had a wonderful lunch today at Roberts restaurant. We got the lunch menu today and I ordered the turkey club and my husband got the classic burger, and he was blown away how great it was. It was tender, juicy made with real meat no fillers. Plus red onion, lettuce, 2 tomato, pickles. It's definitely his new favorite for the Restaurant. Plus crispy steak fries. I have a really great turkey club with super crispy bacon and the turkey was so fresh and it was the real deal crispy lettuce too. You had your choice of potatos like fries, homemade potato salad, which was excellent that's what I chose, and other things. Definitely would order it again. Atmosphere is always nice. Great service can't complain at all. We will be back again. We had really great service. This is the type of place that treats you like family. read more

This is a small restaurant that is open from 6 am to 3 pm, serving breakfast and lunch only. It's in a business plaza and once the parking out front is filled, you have to look around for additional spots, but they are available. It's a busy place with about 3 waitresses, who are kept moving. But from the time you enter and are greeted with "pick a table anywhere" service is friendly, if sometimes a bit slow. They have very few desserts. The rice pudding, which is mediocre, is made there. The pies are bought frozen and baked there. The chocolate cake is Sara Lee. Skip the desserts and focus on the food, mostly made from scratch and served in large portions (averaging about $20 for a lunch entree and another $5.95 to include a soup, beverage, and dessert). Meals are not cheap but well worth the price. We had the beef tips with noodles and the chopped sirloin steak. Both were quite good. And the chopped steak brought back memories of a favorite restaurant on Long Island that served it just right. It's perfect, here, too. The house-made cornbread is scrumptious with any meal. I will be back to try breakfast, maybe. Because the lunch menu has a lot of homecooked items that are calling my name. I appreciated the personal touch. The restaurant is kind of a cross between diner and deli in a good way. There are plenty of options on the menu and daily specials. The food I saw come out to other diners all looked great. The portion size was nice too. I found the food to be really tasty. A cut above what you'd normally think about in this category. I had a really good experience here. My family and I took a red eye from San Francisco. We landed before 7 AM. After a quick search on Yelp we decided to take a Lyft to Robert's Restaurant. Being so close to FLL, the wait staff saw our luggage and knew the drill. Our server put us at a table with ample space to temporarily store our luggage. Service was top notch. When I travel I always look for restaurants that the locals go to, a local dive. Well, I found a gem! As I walked in the place I could feel the local vide! We were greeted and seated right away by a friendly lady names Debbie. If it is crowed, look at the counter for a couple of seats. I stated off with a Hot Chocolate, it was soooo good! Whipped Cream and Chocolate drizzled on top! I ordered one of the specials, Eggs Benedict with Home Fries with grilled onions and American cheese. Probably the best I have had, including high end restaurants! The ham was thick and amazing, look at the pictures. I've been coming to Robert's for a few years now and I love that I can always rely on getting good breakfast food here. I usually get an omelet or some kind of egg dish. This time I got egg , cheese and ham with a side of hash browns. The service is a little bit of a hit or miss as this place gets packed with people. We were in the area for an appointment and decided to check it out. We weren't sure if we wanted breakfast or lunch so Robert's fits the bill. I had a tuna hoagie. It comes with lettuce, tomato, onion, provolone cheese, green peppers (which I asked to not include) and oil & vinegar (which for some reason I love). It came with chips and a pickle. The sandwich was huge and I ended up taking home 1/2 of it. The bread to tuna ratio was perfect. My husband had the Cuban sandwich. He was happy that it only had mustard & it was pressed. He was a little disappointed there were no pickles on the sandwich. He upgraded his side to steak fries for $2.50. The first time the fries came out they were not cooked through. We sent them back and got a new plate of fries. They were perfect the 2nd time. I had coffee and my husband had Diet Coke. Both beverages were kept full. The downside to Robert's is the pricing. I decided not to get breakfast because 2 eggs (which comes with a side & toast or biscuit) is $13.50 - and additional 90 cents for a bagel and an additional $2.25 for cream cheese. By the time you have the meal you want, it is almost $17 for eggs. Omelettes we're about $16. Same deal. I just couldn't. Service was super friendly. The restaurant (including the bathroom) was super clean. The tables are a bit close to each other, but that wasn't a deal breaker. We will definitely return if in the area. read more

A family favorite! We were greeted & seated immediately even though restaurant was full @ lunchtime. We ordered iced tea & 2 coffee s which came immediately. Had time to check daily specials. My husband had a Robert's Burger with grilled onions & steak fries. A wonderful platter of delicious food. I dined at Robert's on a chill Friday with my bestie and highly recommended this lovely local eatery! I had the fried shrimp special only available on Fridays and she had the turkey burger with onion rings and everything was fresh and homemade. Miss Tiffany the manager is truly a gem overshadowing any other subpar energy experienced inside. Dawn was our server and she was so attentive and warm. We sat at the bar ,,, friendly fast service my son ordered the ny strip and eggs and I had the corned beef hash breakfast with a biscuit,,, coffee cups are way too small like a tea cup I do think the breakfast prices are a little higher than the usual breakfast spot ,,, my son tried to eat his medium well steak but it was definitely medium more to rare side ,, one of the ladies took it off and the cook got upset however my breakfast was good and hot although I don't recommend the biscuit if you make your own. Came on a Sunday late morning and the place was jumping. It was so packed. Thankfully, we found two open chairs at the counter where you can see most of the action happening. From the waitresses asking for your order, to making coffee, toasting bread products, putting in their tickets and grabbing their orders as they run it to their clients table. The ambiance? Well, it's a diner. The wait staff is very helpful and very nice. They make sure that you have everything you need. Did I take pictures of our meals? No! It actually tasted like corn beef. Way too many corn beef hashes taste exactly the same....because they are out of a can from the same factory, no Robert's , it's mostly corned beef instead of mostly cubed potatoes. I heard about Roberts from a few people and decided to give it a try today for lunch with a client. Service was great. The minute we sat down, we were greeted by a server. We ordered a half roasted chicken and a burger. We both were promptly served delicious corn bread. We sat at the counter right across from the kitchen service window. Everything was fine until I saw a cook in the kitchen grab a precooked roasted chicken with his bare hands and placed it into a microwave. Minutes later the food was served. The chicken was so dried out and had gravy poured all over it. The mashed potatoes were discusting. The green beans were canned. For $17.95, expectations were a lot higher than the food that came out of that kitchen. It was by far, the worst dried out chicken. it was probably at least a day or two old. To see someone in the kitchen grab a roasted precooked chicken like a football and microwave it until it was hot throughout ruined my appetite. Thoroughly disappointed in not only the preparation and quality of the food, but the total disregard for proper food handling procedures. I wasn't sure about this place at first. That changed when we got there. It's family owned, and the restaurant is emaculant, considering the place is located in the front section of a group of warehouses. The menu has lots of options and it is printed with larger print, so it's easy to see it and to read it. The service was outstanding. Our server kept coming back to check on us, keeping my wife coffee full and fresh. Although we did have one problem. The steak fries. They were not cooked enough. Too me, it's not about the problem. It's about how they take care of it. She took good care of it. She took back and had the chef fry them longer. They came out about two minutes later, and they were perfect. They stole the show. They might of been the best part of lunch. I also had a Cuban sandwich. I've noticed everyone has their own version. It was good, it was pressed nicely, but I think it needed one more thing on it. It could have used some pickle slices. Now, my wife she had a tuna fish sub. It was served with potato chips. It seemed to enjoy it. So, I like to snoop around and find "hole in the wall" restaurants for weekend breakfasts. I stumbled across Robert's Restaurant this past weekend and figured I would give it a go. Prices are absolutely out of control and the food wasn't anything to justify the higher costs they charge. Needless to say this was the first and last time I will be at Robert's. The service was acceptable and I did tip the waitress accordingly, so this breakfast was a $20 bill. Not worth it to me. read more
