Great place to eat. Service ONCE SEATED is amazing, but the wait and way they seat needs serios improvement. A lot of entitled customers feel they walk in wait 10 minutes no reservations and should skip people who waited 15 minutes and had earlier reservations just because they make a scene. Hostess was very uncomfortable and nervous and kept leaving her station to avoid the long wait line. Good problem to have this place is busy but they need more stability at the walk in. The service with wait staff is always amazing as well as the food. Great ambiance, clean restrooms, and great food. They have a rewards program that is very good and run gift card promotions that give you points for gift card purchases which is amazing. After my rocky first experience, it was reassuring when a manager personally reached out a few days after the review. Not only was he very apologetic, he seemed like he actually cared about making the situation right. After inquiring a bit more about the service that night he graciously invited me back for another meal. I understand mistakes happens so it's truly about how they're taken care of after the fact. In this case, it was handled well. I decided to come for brunch this time & overall, it was a really good meal. They weren't super busy but service was good. Our appetizers, drinks & meals all came out in a timely manner. For the most part, everything was right but one of the hash brown sides came out cold (it was quickly swapped for fresh ones). My chicken & waffles were delicious. I especially liked how freshly breaded/fried the chicken was. There was a misunderstanding when it came to ordering our drinks, however. I ordered one that should've came iced but got the other coffee beverage which is served warm. When I brought it up to the waiter he was adamant that it's what I ordered & how it's served. After I questioned it once more, he stuck to that, so I kept the drink. Thankfully, it tasted really good & was poured well but it wasn't what I ordered. It was just a bit off putting that he said it was. He said he'd take the drinks off but this was after we went back & forth about it. This isn't a make or break situation for me but he was set in his ways. As a server, you need to be as adaptive as possible, even if you believe you're right. I'm super thankful to have been invited back because it was a nice meal, as I expected. I'm glad I can now tell people to try them out in good conscience. Stopped by Burtons Grill & Bar during happy hour for a quick bite and drinks I tried their firecracker shrimp, and that was definitely the highlight for me -- the breading was really good, the shrimp was well seasoned, and overall it was super flavorful I also gave the steak stew a try, but personally it wasn't my favorite. This is one of our new favorite spots in Plantation. We have been here a number of times over the last year, both for lunch and dinner, and the experience has always been great. Service is always on point, their menu is not huge, but they have a little something for every taste and a separate menu for Gluten sensitive diners. A couple of my favorite entrees are the roasted veggie bowl and the Mediterranean risotto. The locale has a nice tropical decor with a lot of natural light and comfortable booths, regular tables and high top tables, plus a large bar area. There is also outdoor seating. Really like the clam chowder here, although there was a a bit to much chopped bacon in it for me, so I will ask for just a little next time. Servers are great and always cheerful. Have you ever gone to a restaurant then afterwards wondered what took you so long to go there? That's exactly what happened after I finally got to eat at Burtons. We had reservations for 6 o'clock on a Saturday and thank goodness we did because it was already getting busy when we got there. We were seated right on time and the server was there within minutes with menus and to take our drink orders. We were told that everything there was freshly made and made from scratch and believe me you can tell! We ordered the Firecracker Shrimp for an appetizer and these were so full of flavor that every bite was better than the next. For our mains two of us had the Steak Frites, one of us had the Chicken Milanese Alfredo and I had the small portion of the Mediterranean Chicken Risotto. We also ordered the bread service. I don't even know where to begin with how delicious the good was. My small order of risotto made me wonder what the regular portion was, there was so much there! I tried my husband's steak and it was so tender and flavorful. My friends loved their meals as well. The bread service was unbelievable! The bread itself was nice and warm and had everything seasoning on top. It was served with a garlic butter, a pesto sauce and an olive tapenade. Each sauce was full of flavor, it's hard to pick out a favorite from the three of them. My espresso martini was one of the best I've ever had and unique in the fact that it came with a Bailey's foam on top. I'm still thinking of that martini! No room for dessert but hopefully will get a chance to try some next time we go back. It looks like they have a great happy hour so we'll be returning for that as well! read more

This has quickly become one of my favorite spots, especially because they make it so easy to accommodate allergies. Being able to clearly specify gluten-free and dairy-free is huge for me, and I really appreciate how seamless they make it. My go-to is the Thai steak salad the flavor is incredible. The marinade on the steak is honestly a 10/10 and always cooked perfectly. Everything tastes fresh and high-quality every time I order. I usually get it to-go since it's close to my house, but the restaurant itself is really nice, clean, and inviting if you decide to dine in. Also, the bread service is amazing it comes with three different sauces and they're all so good. Overall, super consistent, great quality food, and allergy-friendly which is a big win. We were seated immediately, but the service was still very slow. We started with appetizers. The donuts were very moist and sweet a perfect appetizer. The firecracker shrimp were very good, crispy, and cooked to perfection. The buffalo cheese dip was good but could have used a bit more buffalo sauce. For my entrée, I ordered the fish sandwich. Recently tried Burton's Grill & Bar and it was a lovely experience. I fell in love with the indoor decor. It was very trendy with lots of comfortable booth seating. It's the first thing that caught my attention about this restaurant. Our waiter was very attentive and provided good recommendations that we did love! For starters, we ordered the bread service and it was it was a good choice. It comes along with pesto, herb, & garlic butter which was perfection. Our waiter recommended the firecracker shrimp and it was perfection. It comes with 6 crispy colossal shrimp and the cucumber salad really mixed well with the appetizer. For dinner, I ordered the Braised short ribs and the meat was cooked perfectly to the point that it would melt in your mouth. Delicious. It came along with garlic mash and Brussels sprouts. The Brussels sprouts were not my favorite.. barely any seasoning so they were bitter but they were tender. I would probably ask to substitute it if I order that same plate in the future. My husband ordered the Wagyu Ribeye and he was having a mouthgasm the entire time. Definitely recommend. And the presentation with the side salts, sauce, and onions was a very nice touch that aided to the taste of the steak. Really nice restaurant and yummy food! This place opened up near my job and I came for a quick lunch with my coworker. The restaurant is nice inside. It gives fine American dining vibes. We were sat in a booth near the bar. Our server was nice. I ordered the steak frites and my coworker ordered the lobster roll. My steak was really good and the fries were also really tasty. Came here with a gluten-free friend and we loved that their gluten-free menu was almost identical to their regular menu! The food, however, was just okay. We all ordered different dishes, but none of them really stood out. I had the steak frites, which was fine, though the fries weren't great. I also added a side of garlic mashed potatoes, which again were just okay. My friend ordered the chicken Milanese Alfredo and felt it lacked flavor. Another person in our group ordered the tuna poke bowl but didn't eat it because it tasted sour, raising concerns about freshness. For dessert, we tried the tiramisu and the chocolate cake. What's not great about this location? The service is friendly and efficient. The decor is beautiful and sets a lovely tone and the food is absolutely delicious. There are so many wonderful options to choose from and they are very accommodating to people with food allergies or restrictions. They even had a separate gluten free menu for someone in our party. We had reservations for a party of 8. I received a text the day that I made the reservations and a confirmation text the day before our reservations. We were brought to the back of the restaurant to be seated which had about 7 or 8 tables. It wasn't crowded when we got there but towards the end of our meal when we went to the restroom, we noticed how loud the front of the restaurant was. I was very happy with our seating arrangements. I believe our server's name was Amin. He was excellent! He asked if we had been there before and if anyone had dietary restrictions (which we did). I don't have any food sensitivities but was impressed that, with the exception of one item, they have everything else in a GF version. There were some substitutions in the type of pasta that they serve if you have gluten sensitivities. Most of us drank water so our server brought 2 carafes of water to our table and made sure that the carafes weren't empty. Our food was AMAZING! Everyone loved the meals that they chose. They charge for Bread Service but it's unlimited. The bread was so soft inside and a little crispy on the outside. We refrained from loading up on the bread because we knew that we wouldn't be able to finish our meals if we did. The servings were pretty big but we pigged out and managed to eat everything! Upon entering the restaurant there were two couples before me. As the host/ess was elsewhere, after a five minute wait, I decided to sit at the bar. I was served by Am Bar G. who besides attending the bar had the four booths adjacent to the bar and a table(s) is close proximity. So, he was hustling! Therefore, I give him a lot of credit. I ordered a glass of Markham Merlot which had a good taste. I also orders as a side dish a Caesar Salad. (Now there are variations of what should be in a Caesar salad, especially, here in the South. In most restaurants, the salad includes lettuce, croutons, anchovies, and sliced olives.) yet, at Burtons it was lettuce with croutons, only! As I mentioned to one of the managers, if the salad was included with the meal, I understand the selection, but it is not! The salad is an extra $8.50. Yet, in fairness to the restaurant, this what is included in the salad is dictated by corporate which is my experience is someone who sits in a cubicle in some far away location who has no idea what food is about and only looks at the bottom line - a glorified accountant. Anyway, I ordered the Salmon Romesco which was delicious! Yet, as patience is a virtue, I did have a long wait between the salad and the entree. Considering that the bartender was all over the place, I have to accept this as reality! Afterward, I enjoyed a huge Chocolate Cake with a double expresso and a shot of Bailey's Irish Cream. Overall, I really have no complaints. I understand labor costs are high, especially in hospitality industry, and restaurants do not make a profit from food, only liquor!
