We were greeted and seated right away for an early breakfast. The host was very friendly and made us feel welcomed right away. Server was fantastic. Family of four and we had a few different things off the menu and everything was fantastic. I had the salmon croffle. The crunch on the croffle was the most satisfying crunch I have ever heard. Flavor combination was perfect. I also had the brown sugar espresso drink. Very interesting flavors. My kids enjoyed mine so much, they ordered one to share. All in all, can't wait to go back. Brand new Italian - Thai fusion café in the Veranda Shoppes. The front patio definitely had a female's touch with an eye for detail. Elegant patio tables with shaded red canvas umbrellas creating an inviting space. Upon entry the black and white mosaic tile flooring caused a brief senory overload but quickly subsided with the large red brick coffee bar in the distance proudly displaying the Anna's name in LED white lighting against white wood. The hanging crystal wine glasses exhibited a strong Italian decor. The dining room was very spacious for a café with a sea of tables covered in white tablecloths and crystal glasses. There was a charming seating area with a red sofa and two red love seats next to the oversized newspaper article on the wall explaining the origins of Anna's Café surrounded by a collage of past customers. Not too sure where the Thai Fusion theme fits in - hmmm. Took a seat at the coffee bar and met with a few of the chatty baristas. The music was playing 1980's remakes of classic bands and loved it. Ordered an Italian Victoria Originale espresso classically presented in a small porcelain cup straddling a saucer with a stainless steel mixing spoon. The coffee had a smooth bold taste, welcoming scent and offered a quick jolt at a reasonable $3.00 price point. The kitchen was pushing out an array of eats that smelled spectacular. The gender assigned bathroom continued the elegant flow. Spotless with the mosaic flooring and red & white walls with floating wooden shelves full of green floral arrangements. Not only was it delicious but the presentation was beautiful as well, along with the beautiful interior. I wanted everything on the menu but was in the mood for French toast. It was delicious, but I definitely need to try one of their more unique dishes next time. My husband loved his thai basil chicken omelette. And my little guy loved his cartoon character breakfast. I have been wanting to try this place since it's close to home. I was expecting an ordinary diner.....but there is nothing ordinary about Anna's Cafe! First of all; it's super cute and full of charm! There are white tablecloths, red velvet chairs, and cute decor all around. The menu has the usual American breakfast and brunch options; but with a Thai influence. (The original restaurant was in Thailand.) We had the most fabulous server, Lauren, and she helped us decide what to order. My mom had the Strawberry-Basil Spritz mocktail first. She said it was delicious! I ordered the Secret Garden Omelette. It was only $16, and full of peppers, onions, mushrooms, spinach and cheese. ( I had the avocado put on the side.). It was really yummy and came with toast, and really cool tri-colored roasted potatoes which were also very good. My mom wanted to have the croffle,(croissant dough in a waffle iron,) so she got the Blueberry Cheesecake one. It looked fabulous, she loved it, plus she had a big portion to take home. (It's a nice touch that they box your food up for you, instead of just handing you a box.) We had a very nice little lunch at Anna's Cafe. A friend of a friend saw this place was open and said it looked interesting. As it turns out, it just soft opened a few weeks ago, and they're just getting started. On the day we visited, they were doing promotional photos. We got to meet the owner and his family which made the experience better. It was great to see a family run business and support them. And on to the meal. The place is really cute inside. Love the way it's setup. Cassie was our waitress and she was helpful and informative about their menu, the history of the restaurant (they essentially moved from further north) and was excited to tell us about the owner and the chef (who is Thai, which explains the menu). The daytime / brunch menu is extensive with so many choices. It was tough to decide. There are some meat options, some fish choices, and plenty of vegetarian options. We ordered some espressos and egg dishes. And they were absolutely outstanding. And well worth the price. The potato mix was really great. Sweet, white, purple all mixed up. Wow. We were impressed! Enjoyed a really nice lunch at Anna's café today with my daughter. They've only been open four days and it already feels like a great new addition to Plantation. The space has a beautiful and elegant feel. Staff was warm and friendly, and Brian, the owner, came over and spent a few minutes chatting with us at the table. We started with a delicious iced latte and matcha. Our dishes tasted as good as they looked. I had the Secret Garden Omelette with mushrooms, peppers, spinach, tomatoes, onions, avocado, and cheddar. It came with a lightly dressed mixed salad, fries, and a dipping sauce. My daughter had the Omega 3 Breakfast- two poached eggs with smoked salmon, avocado, mixed greens, capers, dill, cashews, and cherry tomatoes- and loved it. Brian then brought us out a slice of their signature Coffee Banoffee dessert. The caramel, bananas, coffee, whipped cream, and cookie crumbs... so delicious. Excited to have Anna's Café in my neighborhood! I had a late lunch here today, first time trying this restaurant. Parking is a bit difficult in this plaza, shared with a Publix grocery and a few other restaurants. I noticed there is shaded outdoor seating available, but it's too hot outside right now for it. I love the atmosphere inside, it's cozy and beautifully decorated. I was greeted warmly and seated promptly. My Pad Krapow entree was so tasty and spicy, and quite a generous portion. I also tried the lavender cool lime mocktail. It wasn't my favorite, but they have many more drinks to choose from that I'd like to try. The tables are comfortable and roomy. Service was courteous but a bit disorganized today, as there was a lot of hustle and bustle with photographers and the mayor of Plantation here for a ribbon cutting ceremony. Outdoor seating had a nice vibe with flowers, if they got a privacy screens it would make it more comfortable as you are facing the parked cars out front. Indoors on a Friday was a bit loud so we asked to sit outside. At first we were told that wouldn't be possible because they were understaffed but eventually they decided we could sit outside. The server was very friendly and checked in regularly. It is a family owned business and that was nice to see. The menu had a range of sweet and savory options. I tried the Dungeness crab Benedict. It comes with salad and friend potatoes. The eggs were cooked perfectly. The crab was a bit too fishy for my taste but that could just be me. The potatoes were crisp but not a lot of flavor. This is a brand new hidden gem in the plantation area. The inside of the restaurant is decorated beautifully like stepping into a French bistro. I'm local to plantation specifically to the area where this new Cafe is located as it's located only 3 min from my apartment. First I can say the atmosphere of this cafe is unique but everything about makes you feel like you are going to have a good time. It has a good diner vibe while still keeping the Thai influence. Service was excellent, had 3 different servers/hosts make sure we had everything we needed. Food did not take a crazy amount of time to come out. Which was great. Me and my wife ordered 1 lavender refresher 10/10 1 taro latte iced- while it tasted amazing and presentation was great after 3 sips i realized 70% of the mason jar was just ice ... so that was disappointing for the price. The burrito we ordered I could tell was done fresh, the size of it was pretty good though. I wish the crispy chicken was incorporated more throughout the burrito, and not just one side as I felt. It was easy to fall apart due to the distribution of the ingredients inside of the tortilla. The chips that came with the burrito were so good, they came very warm and had lots of flavor The mango sticky rice French toast wow it tasted good was underwhelming for the price, I was expecting much thicker bread and a better fusion of the mango and the coconut sauce, while in reality, it was almost as if I needed to blend all the ingredients to kind of get what I was expecting , the French toast in it of itself looked dry and underwhelming. Nothing special of the unripe mango bits either. I would have preferred bigger and riper pieces of mango. As well as as a more spongy and buttery piece of French toast. We decided to eat here for brunch with some friends. None of us had eaten here before and thus, we thought it would be a nice meal. We made a reservation and we were seated fairly quickly. The owner was helping out the server because she appeared to be only one of two servers working at that time. I ordered the Huevos Rancheros. I then proceeded to go to the bathroom and what do I find? There is no soap in the restroom. I immediately notify the owner and at first, he basically ignored me. I told him again and he responded, "I believe you". But he did nothing about it. I watched him for a few minutes (after I asked my daughter to get some soap from the ladies' room and hand it to me) and he never went to the restroom. That was a big strike one. Really? That would have been my first priority. The restaurant was not that crowded and he could have spared five minutes to fill up the soap dispenser. I also didn't like how they delivered the food. They delivered one dish first and then staggered the others. So basically, one of our friends had her plate in front of her for almost five minutes because she didn't want to eat before everyone else. This wasn't great restaurant practice. My dish was very average and I have had much better at other places. The service was fair although she disappeared at times. Strike two. I just didn't get a good feel from this place and I wouldn't go back. I can find significantly better brunch places and they might even be closer to my house. Sorry, guys. We celebrated a late Father's Day brunch today at Anna's Cafe. We can't wait to return again, as the menus are extensive and difficult to choose from since so many things sound delicious. We walked into a really warm décor and a great vibe of patrons on a Saturday afternoon. We were greeted by a lovely gentleman named Charlie who is the father of the chef Carol (who we didn't get a chance to meet). Charlie was lovely and took great care to get us seated and converse a bit about the restaurant while we waited on our other guests. The menus reflect amazing options, a melding of typical and Asian entrees, classic breakfast and lunch items, but by no means typical, and highlights robust flavors and talent in the kitchen. The creative options on choices described will definitely let you know that they are not novices; they are here to show you their craft on ordinary and not so ordinary dishes with both flavor and presentation. We had a hard time deciding, realizing that if it was good, we would have to come back. And that it was ... very good. Our server was Jenny; attentive and pleasant. We want to give a shout out to the husband Brian (clearly this is a family endeavor) for the playlist music that created a great vibe as well, because if you're listening, it matters too. I ordered the Pacific Omelette. It was very hearty, loved the potatoes that came with it. My husband said the crab Benedict could have used more crab, he liked my Pacific Omelette more than his dish. We also ordered the Salmon Croffle which was amazing! To drink I had the drip coffee and my husband ordered the taro latte, which was really sweet and I used some of it in my coffee and it was perfect. We had a few staff bring us food and drinks but our main server was okay. Maybe it was her first week, or she didn't know how to use that machine, she seemed a bit irritated and out of it. Overall, I am really excited to have Anna's Cafe in the neighborhood and I look forward to coming back and trying other dishes on the menu. The taste of the basil ground chicken within the omelette was mouthwatering and the home potatoes are so fresh, just amazing. I also had the Toffee Bonoffee for dessert, I've never had anything like this banana based dessert and it was delicious. There is a full coffee bar and barista also, everything you could wish for. Then there is sweet Charlie who greets and checks in with you throughout your dining experience. He is a gem and pure delight to get to know.
