I just love this place! It feels like home with the lovely traditional photos of Thailand all throughout the restaurant and in the ladies bathroom. There is a lot of space in the restaurant to spread out and bring lots of people or lots of work to do. I have had so many wonderful dishes here: the Vegan Red Curry, the Vegan Green Curry, the Vegan Pad Thai, Vegan Panang Curry, Vegan Massaman Curry, Vegan Basil Vegetables, the Spring Rolls and even the dessert is great. I like the lunch size portion because it is the perfect meal size where you can eat it and not feel heavy but also not feel hungry for the rest of the day!

Been here a dozen times and can't believe we never reviewed it. This is a great local spot for fresh Thai food and excellent service. Shout out to Bea, our wonderful server. This place is like a "cheers". Local joint with a following and fresh food and always very clean. Everything I've had has been good some of it has been excellent. One our favs is the crispy noodles and the pad Thai with crispy wontons. If you like spicy then go for it. They cater to all palates. Always a solid choice

YES PLEASE!!! THAI MEAL is FANTASTIC for folks like me. You can pretty much turn any of their meals into vegan meals, you can customize your spice level, and the food is fresh and tasty. I saw it on Yelp and you know how you just get a vibe that the food is about to HIT before you even get there? That was me...I just KNEW! The dining area was an open space with tables organized throughout and it was lunchtime so it was bustling when I walked in. I tried not to stare too hard at people's food but got glances of everyone seemingly enjoying their meals. I walked up to the small counter and a beautiful girl with braids smiled politely as she helped me navigate the menu. I asked her what was the most popular and she said,"oh gosh! Everything's so popular!!" After telling her I wanted vegan, she told me I could make any item with the green ball next to it (on their menu) vegan. There were a lot!!! I opted for the vegan drumsticks and the lunch special Basil dish with crispy tofu and the lunch special was served with a salad. I opted for take out and my meal was ready in about 20 minutes. Now I'm speaking to the vegans when u say this part. If you're into mock meats, try the vegan fried chicken. The outside was nice and crispy and very good (not heavily breaded) and the inside was juicy. This particular wing had the wood inside vs the one with the sugar cane. I liked it a lot and wish it came with more than 3. I keep saying wings (they are small like wings) but on the menu they are called drumsticks. The drums are a 3 piece and the wings come with 4 pieces. The dipping sauce was a thin sauce, probably homemade and compliments them well. The Basil sauce dish was also very tasty. It was loaded with many veggies...onions, peppers, fresh aromatic basil, mushrooms, carrot strips, broccoli, garlic, zucchini and cabbage and they had all soaked up the flavors of the sauce very nicely. Served with a side of fragrant jasmine rice for the win. I am absolutely going to return to this place as often as possible. Their lunch special is $13.99 and had many dishes to choose from at that price. You choose your dish and your protein. GO HERE!!!! Fresh and delicious food and nice staff make this place a winner in my book!

Finally - a new go-to Thai restaurant! I've been searching for good Thai since my favorite place in Sunrise closed shop a few months ago. Thai Meal has ended my search, and earned a new regular. The food at Thai Meal, simply put, rocks. I've sampled a few dishes, and not a single one has disappointed me. The basil duck was delightfully crispy and packed with veggies and flavor. The khao soi had the perfect balance of spice and herbs, with a heaping serving of noodles and protein. The flavors in the curries have been punchy and bright, and everything has consistently been cooked to perfection. The best part - when I order Thai hot, it actually comes spicy! For the members of my table that don't like spice, though, the mild (1-2 level heat) was exactly to their taste. Staff here are really friendly and helpful. When we had questions about tree nut allergies, they were able to check for us and accommodate. They're usually pretty quick, too, and the prices are very reasonable. I've never done takeout from here, but I wouldn't hesitate to try it.

I tried this place once, and now I keep coming back. The food is absolutely delicious--authentic Thai and so, so good. The service is top-notch too, easily 5-star quality.

Excellent and authentic Thai food. I ordered the Tom Kha soup, a creamy, coconut and lemongrass fragrant broth, with mushrooms, herbs , veggies, and I added shrimp. For my entree, I had the Shrimp Basil Delight, which is a blend of sauteed veggies, garlic, Basil, and a touch of bourbon. Served with an option of brown, fried, or white rice. The Basil is aromatic and adds robust flavor with every bite. They have lunch specials before 3p. Its a large restaurant with lots of seating for small or large groups. Service was great! Overall, great place for a quick lunch or dinner. Good quality food. Great seevice.

Very tasty, like I do when I go to any Thai place I asked for Thai hot, but alas, it wasn't that spicy, but it tased good nonetheless

    Fried dumplings were delicious.

One of the best tasting meals I've experienced (hence my almost weekly return visits). Excellent service with a smile. Averagely noise level ... but what can you expect from such a popular place? Kinda hard to be quiet when you're happy & in good company. Come by & enjoy for yourself.

I was craving something quick but yummy and my friend is vegan and we wanted something to satisfied us both. I had the pad Thai with shrimp which was delicious, along with taro pearl for dessert and he had the vegan drumsticks. Everything was amazing and came out very quickly and the hostess was great. It was a rainy random Wednesday, so wasn't packed but super clean. I got free Thai donuts to go with my check in.

I ordered a BoGo Kirin Light (on Happy Hour) which was served very cold and refreshing. The Kanisu Roll was so fresh and a very pretty as well as healthy. The Chim Salad was the best. There is no lettuce but plenty of salmon and tuna with cucumber, avocado and little jalapeños rings. The seaweed Salad on top was plentiful and the dish itself was excellent. I asked for a little spicy mayo on the side to layer into the Nori paper to make little sushi tacos. I loved this dish and would definitely order it again. These were full portions, and too big for us in one sitting. I ordered medium, which tasted pretty mild in restaurant, but my leftovers the next day were spicy (and so delicious)! So if you're the type of person to bring half your meal home, I highly recommend you order one level down from your normal tolerance. The second time I went for lunch, and got the red curry. The menu said it came with miso soup or salad, and I asked for miso soup but the woman gestured up to the small salad bar. Turns out, that day was chicken soup, and I'm pretty happy about it because I don't think I would have ever thought to order chicken soup from a Thai restaurant. I had two bowls, and I would have gotten more if I wasn't trying to leave room for my entree. It didn't work out anyway; even the lunch portion was huge, so half came home. Unbelievable deal, I think with tax and tip (I think I tipped $4?) my total was still only $16 and change. The service is phenomenal, the restaurant is clean, and they have won my heart. I'll be back!

We ordered the coconut rock shrimp appetizer that came with large, meaty shrimp and a great dipping sauce. But the shrimp had no flavor and was very bland. We also had the tuna crispy rice. The presentation was lovely. But the appetizer was underwhelming. For dinner we had the cucumber skin roll with tuna, salmon, and a avocado. Again, a beautiful presentation with tuna that melted in your mouth. But again, not impressive. The standout was the curry udon with chicken katsu; thick, meaty udon noodles; and a delectable curry sauce so good I slurped up each drop. Of course we had to try the pandan creme brulee and the ube flan. The latter being the better of the two desserts. Dinner for two with 1 alcoholic drink, 2 appetizers, 2 entrees, 2 desserts, tax, and tip was $128.

It was a jumbo tray with a full pineapple, fried rice, flavorful meat, and an appetizer. I do not recall because it's been a while. At that point, I would have given this place five stars because we had good service. But the second time around, I came with a girlfriend, and it was disappointing. Because I had a good time the first time, I thought she would like it too, and assumed all the other menu items would be up to par along with the customer service... But it was a stark difference from the last visit. We took our time perusing through the menu, which is large and had good variety, so it took us a while to finally decide. But I was perplexed why we never got the platter menu so after some time, I asked our waitress for the menu and she said "Oh whoops, I should've given that first!" That already was a red flag because if that's the first menu for us to see, in which it was the first menu I saw last time, it tells me their platters are the best sellers and the rest of the menu are mid... My friend ordered the chicken teriyaki and she wasn't pleased. I thought it's perhaps because she chose a simpler dish, but when she offered me to try it, I can see why she disliked it... The chicken was unbearably dry and lacked flavor. I got the Hong Kong noodles with beef and it wasn't bad. We shared egg rolls before our meals which were OK, but I never received my tom yum soup. The service was slow and the waitress was not attentive at all. It was a little busier with several tables filled compared to my last visit, but we saw a party of three arrive 20 minutes after us and they were able to leave before we finished our dinner, so that made us feel like we were an afterthought. So with that experience, I bring my stars down to 3 and recommend that if you do visit, the large sharable platters are the only things worth it there. As you've read in my experience, customer service is hit or miss. It looks like a trendy spot with each booth having a neon-lit quote, so I'll give it that. The platters looked very trendy and aesthetic, but the apps and meals we had from the regular menu did NOT look trendy or aesthetic at all. It seems that they only focus their creativity and energy on those three platters.

The ambiance was a perfect slice of the Hawker Markets in Singapore, or the little street restaurants of Thailand; enamel cups, spice stations and teapots, traditional wood or plastic chairs, brightly colored tablecloths and window shutters. The nostalgia was made even more complete with the different aromas of spices and sounds of delicious food being cooked. The menu was varied but not too large, full of traditional Thai fare. But I already knew what I wanted, the chicken and rice. While it may not sound like much, the preparation of the food is what makes it taste so magnificent. What I was not expecting was that they offered the usually steamed chicken as a fried chicken option as well. Always up for something new, and upon the recommendation of the waitress, I ordered the fried chicken and rice. The food came quickly, which my stomach was very happy to hear. The main dish came with cucumber slices, picked vegetables, and hot sauce on the side. I requested spicier sauces, and the very helpful and attentive waitress was able to help me make my own custom spice level hot sauce. The chicken was fried perfectly; dynamic crunch on the outside and tender, succulent meat inside. The rice was flavorful and comforting, providing a little extra warmth on a cooler night. I agreed to the soup anyways (with pork ribs floating) and it was yummy with lemongrass and other interesting flavors. A bit messy to get the meat out of the soup and off the bone but the meat was very tender. My friend and I split a meal and it was just the right amount of food. Neither of us could pinpoint the spices. Who cares, it was delicious. I never take food photos but Yelpers always request them so I have included some. The presentation of the yummy salad with cabbage standing straight up deserved a photo. My guess is anything you get here will not disappoint. Give them a try!
