This is my eighth time attending Bonefish Grill's monthly cocktail pairing event, and each one amazes me every time. I was here at the Plantation location to attend this month's 4-course Martini Madness Dinner. The restaurant was packed for a Thursday evening. Servers greeted those in attendance, offering each person a glass of ice water and complimentary bread as we awaited the first course. Course one - Crab and avocado salad paired with Sparkling Cucumber Martini. The salad was a creamy mixture of avocado, lump crab, mango, and diced bell peppers on a bed of fresh spinach. Crispy tortilla chips was added for crunch. The martini was nice and light with a sparkling crisp taste. Course two - Scallop and shrimp scampi pasta paired with Lychee Martini. This was a very good dish. Nicely cooked shrimp and scallops tossed with all dente linguine in a light butter white wine sauce. Thoroughly enjoyed the lychee martini which was sweet and absolutely delicious. Course three - Mediterranean salmon paired with Island Breeze Martini. This was a filling dish. The salmon was nicely grilled and topped with sautéed spinach, feta cheese, diced tomatoes, and pickled onions; served with Jasmine rice and grilled asparagus. The martini was well-balanced with the vodka and various fruit juices (mango, passion fruit, and pineapple) without being overly sweet. Course four - Mixed berry mousse cake paired with Strawberry Rose Sidecar Martini. Moist, decadent cake layered with berry puree and coconut anglaise. In my opinion, the martini was too strong for a light dessert. It would have been best paired with a surf & turf dish. The whole event was well put together by the pleasant staff who made sure each transition between the courses ran smoothly and the removal of the empty dishes and glasses, as well as refilling the water glass was done in a timely manner. I look forward to attending another event soon. read more

I came here to this location with my mom today for my birthday. We got her at a decent time and were able to get a booth in the bar area. We had a nice server that explained the menu specials and a special my mom wanted to get us. We were able to get four different proteins including two premium sides with a soup or salad each all under $50! The proteins included my favorite ahi tuna, plus shrimp, mahi mahi, and salmon! We left so full with plenty of leftovers. We also tried their espresso martini. I can't tell you how yummy it was! I also got the bourbon brownie dessert on the house for my birthday! read more

We were seated very quickly even though the restaurant was pretty full for a random Tuesday. I ordered to go a few times but I never had the chance to eat inside. They have a seasonal menu that I really enjoyed; especially the white winter drink that they have every year apparently. My salmon's glaze was great and it made the whole dish. Visited for the 4 course dinner cocktail pairing ($65) with 2 of my friends. We had to reserve our spots in advance. When I first arrived, I struggled to find parking. It was terrible. Its on a plaza with many businesses and the parking lot is not big. Maybe there is parking in the back of the building, but im not sure. When I entered there was line of ppl checking in. Once I checked in I was seated at a table with about 8 seats. Basically, sometimes you end up sharing a table with other guests. Once my friends arrived , the hostess asked if she could move us to a different table(alone) because she needed a table for a party of 6. We gladly obliged because we preferred to sit alone. There were a lot of ppl there. Clearly a sold out event. The entire restaurant is reserved for the event. They started us off with a mango and crab salad paired with a cucumber Martini. I loved them both. The Martini was refreshing. Tasted like summer. And the bartender did not skimp on the liquor. Second dish was a shrimp pasta. Definitely not a fave. The pasta was way too soft and the shrimp was a weird texture. The Lychee Martini.. BOMB! That reminded me of the Tropics. So good. We also had salmon, rice and asparagus paired with Island Breeze Martini. Yummy. Salmon was just okay, a little overcooked. We had a berry type cake for dessert. Not bad but not amazing. But the strawberry sidecar Martini.. top tier. As you can see the food was just ok but I have absolutely no complaints about the drinks they were all so good. That side car was strong, I couldnt finish it, BUT i still enjoyed it. They also did a raffle, my friend ended up winning an Amazon gift card. Woot woot! In total we spend about $85 per person with tax and tip. It was a good experience. Cassandra was our waitress. She was sweet. She let us know that you have the option of just getting the drinks or just getting the food and you'll just be charged for that. Also there are no substitutions on anything. Would I go back? We had a nice lunch here. One of the gals who used to work at the Fort Lauderdale location (which closed) is now working here. That was a nice surprise. We sat at the bar. They've recently introduced a new prix fixe lunch menu. Several choices all under $15 that include a starter (5 choices of soup/salad) and an entree (4 choices, as well). While waiting, for our meals, we enjoyed their signature bread with seasoned oil. My husband got their crab corn chowder and fish and chips. The soup was served hot. The fried cod was also the right temp. He swapped mashed potatoes in for the "chips". I started with their house salad -- love the hearts of palm and sunflower seeds! And then the blackened fish tacos. The fish pieces came over lots of shredded lettuce and chopped tomatoes. On top was a spicy pesto sauce. Every months Bonefish doses it again with drinks food a raffle and laughter. If you want to try something new this is a great option. We start with bread and our first martini my downfall i don't drink vodka but my friends say it was refreshing and a spinach salad with crab and avocado probably my favorite dish of the whole night. Then your second drink still vodka but now it was a toss up which drink is more summertime. Paired with a shrimp and scallop pasta honestly not my favorite. Then your 3rd drink you guessed vodka but it the salmon was tasty. Next the final drink VSOP with a strawberry 2 please. It was very sweet to eat with a berry cake. The bartender D (she has a much longer name) was a superstar with the ability to instantly stimulate a tranquil atmosphere. Watched the UFC fight while devouring a huge bowl of Mussels Josephine. Dipped my sourdough bread into the mussel's garlic, onion and tomato sauce. FUNNY STORY: The food runner brought over an entree of Blackened Salmon and Broccoli although told me it was Bourbon Glazed Salmon, which is what I ordered. Did not think any further and began eating the salmon. While in mid-chew, I was quickly informed by the bartender that the entree was not mine and belonged to the customer two seats down from me. Well, the hungry customer and I began laughing as the bartender quickly alerted the kitchen to cook another salmon for him and brought me the correct Bourbon Glazed Salmon. I humbly ate both entrees and happily paid for one. The Blackened Salmon had a heavy char taste with a dry texture due to the blackened seasoning, but the Bourbon Salmon was absolutely delicious with a side of street corn blended with feta chunks. The gender assigned bathroom was clean with double granite sink countertops. Duel urinals and a separate toilet quarters. The only negative of the evening was the condition of the silverware (visually crusty). Required a second round of wiping or maybe a new dishwasher, not sure but I'm not the one managing the place. I love the variety on their menu. They recently did a menu update and added some interesting items. The upgraded sides changed to be a bigger sharable table portion. The Happy Hour is great. Absolutely wonderfully experience for my first time at Bonefish Grill! I came to experience their Prix Fixe Lunch Menu. I was seated promptly, our waitress took very good care of my family. I enjoyed the slightly dimmed lights and the nautical decor of the restaurant. The complimentary bread was warm. The chowder had plenty of lump crab. The cod fillet was huge and battered nicely with the fries. The shrimp taco had plenty of shrimp as well. Everything was freshly made and delicious. The highlight was the waitress. She offered another round of complimentary bread. She brought us soda refills without having to ask. She even told us about promotions and potential discounts with the rewards program. Bonefish Grill in Plantation is in the Shops of Nob Hill Pavilion at 10197 W. Sunrise Boulevard, although the restaurant fronts Nob Hill Road. This restaurant is the perfect blend of upscale quality and casual comfort which is why it continues to be my favorite go-to place. In the dining room the tables are covered Butcher paper-covered tables that is nice so the kids can draw. Every Wednesday is "Bang-Bang Wednesday" with $7 for Shrimp or Chicken. Social Hour is a major highlight, every day to 6:30 an easy go-to for after-work drinks. I like that First Responders and Military receive 10% off their bill. The Staff at Bonefish Grill are genuinely nice and happy to accommodate requests. Service is a big reason people keep coming back. Love the bartender's, they know their drinks inside and out and make me the perfect cosmopolitan every time. Parking can be tough and whatever you do, do not park at Walgreens, they will tow your car. Bonefish Grill is where great food , strong drinks and good times always come together! read more

We have been to this place quite a few times, but it's been at least 10 years since I've been back to this place I feel like the restaurant has kind of lost its zing. The food was OK and I used to love the steaks, but the steaks aren't that great anymore. And it took forever for our waitress to come out and serve us and get our food to us and then get our drinks to us and we only got a water and a sweet tea But of course, the place is very nice. It's inviting. On this particular day, we sat outside, but again sitting outside there was a table next to us who had someone on FaceTime and was literally talking so loud everyone could hear her down the whole plaza And maybe that's why the waitresses didn't wanna come outside. She timed the food so that we were able to finish our appetizer and salad prior to the entrée being delivered. She just was so on target with everything that it made the evening very special. I'll give it 4 stars because the waitress was sweet and the dish I had wasn't bad I came for brunch because for a limited time they have the endless bubbles for 15$ and you can't go wrong with bottomless mimosas especially at that price. Only downside there was I wish the mimosas came out a-little faster there was only about 3 tables full in the entire restaurant I also wish it didn't have pulp inside. I only had 4 in total for the whole 2 hours since the appetizers and food came out. Which isn't much at-all since I'm a really big brunch girly I usually have way more than that lol anyways I got the bang bang shrimp eggs Benedict and it had way too much hollandaise sauce on it but it was decent and for appetizers I got the blackened chicken eggrolls which were amazing . and the deviled eggs which were very mid they were very small and barely had filling and not worth it. I have been to bonefish Grill so many times, because I just feel the atmosphere is clean and comfortable. The service is always nice and the menu has something for everyone! Some of my favorite things are the salads because you can order with fish or shrimp or chicken or not and make it a meal. Recently, I ordered the fillet mignon and lobster tail. Steak cooked medium rare. They brought me out a sirloin that was barely cooked medium so you have to watch them I guess if they don't know what a filet mignon versus a sirloin steak is, you could get ripped off. Another time I went in with a friend and we ordered the beef potstickers. If you look at the photo, it does not show them fried. I have never had them fried, and on this particular day, they brought them out deep fried potstickers they were terrible. So I'm not sure if this is a new thing the restaurant is trying out , but I like them just the way they are supposed to be pan seared they are beautiful and they are amazing, so why are you messing with it? (After going tonight for HH I looked at the menu and noticed no more wagyu beef potstickers, now it's just beef potstickers. They swapped them out for a cheaper product and increased the price) My last visit I was by myself I ordered the chimichurri petite fillet. I was not happy with the steak it was again overcooked, and it also tasted like chili powder. I don't want my steak to taste like chili powder. I wanted it to taste like steak and chimichurri sauce if they're putting chili powder in the chimichurri sauce , it's not supposed to have chili powder in it. Next time I'll just order a steak simply cooked with butter and I will get chimichurri on the side because I don't know what the deal was with all of that chili powder on my steak, but it ruined it. I found the cheeseburger to be just ok. I had seen someone order it thought it looked good and tried it. Way too much sauce on it and the burger itself was not exciting, I won't order it again. Sometimes if I come in by myself, I will sit at the bar. I don't find it better service because they are so busy at the bar and there's usually only two of them back there so if you are in a hurry, you might not want to sit in the bar area , because it actually could take longer for you to be able to pay your bill and leave. Would be nice if they have the order from your phone option or pay from your phone with the scan code so you could just leave when you are ready. And of course, I never go in bonefish without ordering the signature bang bang shrimp! They are almost always, very good. Sometimes I will order them with the sauce on the side because some of the chefs back there like to drown them in sauce, which takes the crunch out of it... And the crunchy part is what makes it good. Overall, it's a really good place to eat. The servers are the best! There are just sometimes the food is not consistent. And yes I will send it back if it's not the way I ordered it. They do a good job getting it right, I get it they are busy. But I'm not paying $30 for an over cooked steak. Happy hour is nice but the food is going down hill. So sad. read more

Poor service. My husband and I went to Bonefish Grill in Plantation at 2:40pm on a Sunday. We ended up leaving because we sat for a little over 15 minutes and no one even came to ask what we wanted to drink. Waitresses walked by us several times and didn't even acknowledge that we were there. Now if the place had been really busy I could understand a bit of a wait; however, there was hardly anyone there., definitely not busy at all. We'll never go back, there are plenty of other restaurants where we can get seafood. read more

The cocktails were crafted to perfection. This is the place to be for happy hour with good drinks, good company, and great service. The food was good but nothing out of the ordinary. However, our server was phenomenal! Danyell was attentive and so kind the entire night. The only thing we weren't thrilled about was the seasonal mango crème brûle which was a bit too sweet since the cream is infused with mango and then topped with fresh pieces as well. So if you prefer a more balanced than sweet dessert like myself I'd opt for another selection. read more

Very, very disappointed in the quality of the food at bonefish in Plantation last night. I had very high hopes of being able to come to this bonefish for an excellent meal anytime I wish. However, that's not going to be the case. The dish I ordered was off of the specials and it doesn't look anything like the advertise picture not even close. After sending the swordfish back because not only did not look like the picture it didn't taste good. I ordered the mahi with crab meat. Also a very, very big disappointment. It was three small thin pieces of fish instead of one fish fillet and less than a teaspoon of crab crumbles, no chunks. This is not restaurant quality. Spoke with a manager who did not give us her name and I can tell from what she said and how she said it. They must have a lot of complaints and I didn't feel like she really cared about us. She made no attempt to make it better so we could return. I would love to return and try the Seabass, but I'm not willing to take the risk. I have no confidence in any fish coming out of the kitchen.
