We were committed. We ordered: 1) Leche de Tigre Mixto $17- not bad; we chose spicy but it wasn't at all 2) Pulpo Anticuchado $24- filling appetizer, nicely grilled and cooked. I really liked the salsa criolla, the pickled red onions on the side 3) Pescado A Lo Macho $30- mixed seafood and sauce was good, fair portion 4) Tallarines Verdes con Lomo Saltado $28- one of my favorite Peruvian dishes done right, good flavor Everything we ordered were very enjoyable and this place should be packed! As soon as 8pm hit, customers came little by little. After, we thought we were just early birds in this area then. Menu prices are expensive but typical nowadays. Man, I can't remember the last time I was so pleasantly surprised by a restaurant. We're not even from this area, we just happen to be around and got hungry. We found Ceviche Point on Yelp and decided to give them a try. Our waitress was friendly enough, inside was cozy and quiet. The food was spectacular, everything tasted fresh. It's a shame. Ceviche Point is an understated restaurant with really delicious food. I've been here a few times and I can say the chef knows what he's doing. Service can be a bit dodgy but I do love there food. Normally this place is a hit, But today was a miss. The salmon fried rice was lacking a bit of flavor. The potatoes in the saltado were extremely salty. Ceviche Point, where have you been all my life?? We went on a Friday for lunch. It was sooo good. We started with yummy Peruvian beer and fried yucca fries. Lunch entrées were perfect. Don't forget to ask for their delicious green sauce that has a nice kick to it. Just order more beer if it's too spicy for you, lol. I adore Peruvian food and my favorite restaurant shut down recently (probably because of a lack of business due to COVID-19). We decided to try Ceviche Point because it is in one of our favorite plazas (with Doris's Market and New York Market--a great Asian grocery store). The eatery is small and not at all luxurious. It seats about 16-20 at basic tables. You scan a QR code for the menu, or the waiter will bring a handheld device for you to view what is available. There was no ceviche appetizer, so we ordered a fish ceviche meal and shared it as an appetizer. While my husband liked it, I thought the chunks could have been thinner because the fish was not melting in my mouth, and I found myself doing a lot of chewing (or spitting out chunks I could not chew). He had the lomo saltado; I had the pollo saltado. I wanted tacu tacu but it was not available on the menu and the server offered to make it. I was a bit leery, so turned down his offer. I did not want the french fries and my server offered yuca fries instead. Great. Thanks! My chicken was a bit tough. Tasted like white meat that had been a tad overcooked. But my husband's beef melted in my mouth. (I am not a red meat lover, but next time, I plan to order the beef.) The meals were a tad too salty (too much soy sauce) and I mentioned that to our server, who seemed to welcome the critique. The place seems to be a mom and pop shop with only about three people working there. I even saw our server go out and come back with what looked liked groceries or meat in a few plastic bags. It was $66, including tax and tip, for dinner for two. (We did have the ceviche dinner, which was not huge, as an appetizer. So, in essence, we had three entrees.) Service was super friendly and attentive. And it is one of the reasons I gave the review four stars (really wanted to give it 3.5 stars but there are no half stars), and part of the reason we will try this place again. read more

A good Peruvian spot to go to. I'm Peruvian and I can say that although they are not the best, their dishes are satisfactory to get a good grade from me. I am also a good eater and get peeved when I'm served mini gourmet sized portions and pay entree price but leave hungry. This was not the case here. They serve pretty good portions to make the cost of their plates ~$20 average worth it. The lomo saltado is made with filet mignon! Not all Peruvian restaurants serve such good meat in their Lomos so that's a big plus. It is my favorite dish here. Their fish ceviche has good taste and good amount of fish pieces. The chupe de camarón is a seafood based soup with shrimp and was agreeable with a good portion too. I've never seen the place too busy and agree that it's typically on the quiet emptier side. There's a nice patio area in the back if you want to enjoy good weather. Service has always been friendly and nice. Jonathan was our server tonight and he was great and even brought out some good sauce suggestion. Overall satisfied with the visit! I visit Peru a few times a year, and ceviche point is giving AUTHENTIC! They have great prices lunch specials and the food is delicious. Cant ever go wrong with a pisco sour! It's mixed seafood sauteed in a wok with onions, tomatoes, chopped cilantro and spaghetti in a reduction of soy sauce and white wine. The mixed seafood had 4 middle size of shrimps, many small piece of squids, I asked to swap out mussel with shrimp or squid. The flavor was too salty to me, too much soy sauce. Hubby liked his dish, Pasta Macho Con Camarones. It's shrimps and spaghetti in a Peruvian creamy sauce made with roasted peppers, aji amarillo and parmesan cheese. I tried a bite, tasted good. It's very creamy, I don't like creamy food, so one bite was okay to me. Lots more shrimps than my dish! Service was okay. They have outdoor seating area in the end of the restaurant, has a bar as well. Liked the clean and neat deco. They used paper made straw, good! We don't speak Spanish. Tonight I had the pleasure of eating at ceviche point. When I go to a new restaurant and eat Peruvian food, so I always get the same thing. What caught my eye is how simple that the menu is. You get straight down to the point. I got the appetizer ceviche tiger fish! Can I say amazing. You'll see the photo in my review! The flavor and ceviche was totally on point. It was just like going to Peru and eating ceviche! The next thing I got was Sopa Pescado! Yet again, to my surprise, the fish and the fish broth with lobster infused flavor was totally out of this world! And the soup flavor was never lost. With every bite, there was something tasteful. I also like that they gave you a little portion of jasmine rice that you could dip a little of your broth on it. I will totally be back to add more to my yelp review, but to note this Hass to be the most cleanest and very customer oriented location. The service is phenomenal, and it is quite relaxing and not noisy within place. The lighting in the restaurant and the way it is set up is perfect for a first date. The restaurant had no customers on this Sunday evening and that should have been a red flag. There were 4 employees sitting around. The waitress came right over and she was very pleasant. The food was mediocre at best. I had pasta with huancaina sauce and lomo saltado. The sauce was runny and weak. This sauce is supposed to be thickened with cheese to give it a creamy consistency and taste. There was zero cheese. The lomo was tasty but the portion was small and sliced super thin. At the end of the meal, someone "reviewed" the bill verbally and then handed over the machine with the total so we could pay without actually seeing an itemized bill! He was annoyed that I asked to see it. He showed it to me on the screen after arguing with me. I have never been to a restaurant where I have to request to see the bill--as if they're doing me a favor. It's a given that you hand the customer the check and allow them to review it. One last comment: I ordered a Coke and the waitress said they had run out. Who runs out of Coca Cola???? And if you ran out, go out and get some instead of sitting around chatting. When you open a business in the USA, you need to adopt American restaurant norms. Will not return. read more

I was craving ceviche for a few days now so me and my husband decided to stop by for our first time since this place is about 10 minutes from our house. The location itself was simple yet cute and our server was extremely nice and always had a smile on his face! I had the mix ceviche, and although it wasn't my favorite it was still decent - just felt like it lacked a bit of flavor. My husband had the lomo saltado and he said it was pretty good. Unfortunately, we didn't get to try the dessert because they had ran out. Now fast forward about two hours after dinner, I have THE WORST STOMACH ACHE ever and definitely got some sort of food poisoning from the ceviche. This is an addition to my first review from the second visit. This time I had the pasta macho con camarones. The dish was a cheesy delight with plenty of shrimp and a thick creamy sauce. Definitely filled me up. The restaurant is also fairly small but very clean and of course new. I wish I could give it negative stars... I order take out here with my boyfriend, a leche de tigre and a chicken arroz chaufa. Half way of the meal, he took a bite of the chicken, and was completely raw, please look at the picture. This is disgusting and extremely dangerous since you can get Salmonella from it, a very serious bacteria, which ended up happening. The next day he had to leave work in the middle of his shift because he could not stop throwing up and he had a fever. We contacted the restaurant 7 times, SEVEN TIMES on different days. We tried to talk with a manager to let them know about it and they were just avoiding us. Apparently, they were never there and were too busy to call us back. This is unacceptable and worrying, a mistake could happen but of this seriousness and just avoid it? Inexcusable. He got sick and they didn't mind to respond for their mistake. I love this place. My wife hates leaving our dog at home, so we always being him with us to Ceviche Point. We walk thru the restaurant to the patio, waiving at the owner on our way. Service is always friendly, and usually attentive. Our dog is always given a small bowl of water and gets a small dish of rice if we ask. The food is great. I am not a Peruvian (and not as much of a seafood fan as my wife is) so it took me a while to find my favorites on there menu. I love the Arroz con Mariscos, which is Peruvian paella. My wife loves the the Pescado a lo Macho, which is a fried (or broiled) filet of fish over rice with a yellow sauce. Any of the ceviches is a good choice. We used to get the ceviche as an appetizer and two entrees, but that was too much to eat in one sitting. The restaurant is next door to Lovin' Oven and the patios are connected. The music from there can be great or annoying, depending on the music and your mood. The back and forth of food and drink between the restaurants is nice to see. Cooperation! I'm glad Ceviche Point seems to have survived covid-19 intact, unlike a few of its neighbors in the shipping center.
