Fish Ceviche with Hot Sauce To Go
    Melissa P.

Located in the Tower Shops in Davie (SE Corner University and SR 84) this small Peruvian restaurant serves up great fish ceviche. The price was a bit expensive, $24.61 (including tax). The staff are friendly, but they prefer to speak Spanish. I have never seen it crowded.

Huancaina. Not flavorful and did not taste like authentic huancaina sauce.

Visited over the weekend. Pretty sure I've ordered take out from them and have had a good experience. The owner was kind enough to allow my husband to eat his poke bowl in the outside area. I also asked about a kids menu and the owner was able to offer chicharrón de pollo for $15 which included two sides. I felt like this dish was fine. I love papa a la huancaina - actually I really love Peruvian food overall - I believe it's one of the best cuisines in the world. I reviewed the menu and saw that they only offered yuca a la huancaina. I really hate yuca so I asked the owner if it can be swapped for potatoes instead. He said he had a mashed potato option, and I was more than happy with that. When the order arrived I was so happy to see that there was a ton of sauce on top. Unfortunately, the sauce lacked flavor. It was extremely bland. I asked for salt and the salt did not fix the issue. The owner was chit chatting with another gentleman and didn't come by to check on our experience. I also ordered the ceviche (fish and shrimp mixed). The shrimp was perfect but I seemed to have an allergic reaction to the fish since every time I ate it gave me a burning/tingling sensation. I had my husband try it and he had the same reaction. When the owner finally came over, he gave me the check, again didn't check in about my experience. I told him about the ceviche and asked him to look into it. He saw that I left the entire huancaina dish and didn't ask why. He did go back and try the ceviche which I was happy about. I would hate for anyone else to have a bad experience. For reference I have ceviche often, and have tasted corvina hundreds of times - this is the first time this happened to me. Unfortunately, I won't be returning.

Stopped in ant the height of lunch on a Thursday and it was not busy. Not sure if that was a tell or not. The interior is bright and clean. With some outside seating. I ordered the lunch special. A lot of food. The half chicken was flavorful but a bit on the dry side. The rice really did t do anything for the meal except be a ton of it and the fries were good. Should have gotten ceviche lie all the reviews said. It seems a bit pricey for the portion sizes of the few ceviches that came out of the kitchen but the lunch special would have been two meals if I was close to home. It was ok. Give them a try and I will next time I am in the area.

Came here because my coworker wanted ceviche and was really blown away . Everything was very very fresh and flavorful . Also loved their spicy sauce which went great with the ceviche . Nice environment and vibe - also good location and the service was great

I eat Peruvian food often and have gone to quite a few different places and boyyyyyy am I glad I found this one. The best one by FAR. The food is consistently very delicious. I've tried a few dishes now here, and I have loved every single one. Even the chicha morada is the best I've had. The service is also great, very nice. They also play Peruvian cumbia, which I love. I don't think I can go back to the other spots, they just don't measure up to Ceviche 595. I'm looking forward to trying all of their plates! I'm obsessed if you couldn't tell already lol Super highly recommend

I've come to this plaza for years and I can't believe I hadn't tried Ceviche 595 sooner. My friend and I wanted to share a ceviche and we got recommended one of the Ceviche Appetizers called "Ceviche Duo" that is basically 2 ceviches in 1 and I love a flavored ceviche. Their ceviche is made with grouper and it we DELICIOUS. Definitely recommend them. The area inside is on the smaller side with several tables and I believe one or two outside tables. Small, casual but nice. Staff was also so nice! Food and service were both quick! I would return.

Location: Davie Florida. Inside a small shopping plaza Ambiance: tiny cozy place with outdoor and indoor seating. Food: As a peruvian myself, I am very cautious when I review peruvian good. My standard that I use for comparison is the food that you can get in peruvian territory. This place is very good. Fish was fresh and was cooked in the moment. One of the main flaws at making ceviche by other restaurants is that they leave the fish to marinate for hours. I highly recommend to request your ceviche to be spicy. If you don't like spicy food, at least order it mild spicy. The chili pepper rounds the flavor of a good ceviche. Arroz chaufa was also pretty moist and delicious. Place is owned by the chef who is an excellent cook from Northern Peru (Chepen) Service is outstanding when you have the chef taking care of business Prices were decent. This is not a cheap place. Chaufa was around 22$ the dish

Amazing service by George. He was very friendly and was helpful. It was the first time we ate at this restaurant and he was very patient with us. He gave his personal favorites which are so delicious. Great food and very quiet and relaxing.

Nice little restaurant tucked away in a plaza. The waiter was very welcoming. They give you a nice dish of corn kernels to snack on. I ordered the Ceviche de Maricos en Crema Tres Ajies. Beautiful presentation and the taste was awesome! Good assortment of squid , octopus, a mussel, fish and shrimp. Parking is ample. The interior is simple but decorated tastefully with Incan art on the walls.

I loved this Peruvian restaurant!!! So happy it's so close to my house so I can come here more often. Location was great and service was too. Our waitress was so sweet!!! This was the first place I have been to in south Florida that actually had chicha as a drink. So of course I ordered it!!! It was delicious. Not too sweet!! The food was also amazing!!! We ordered the lomo saltado and a pulpo ceviche. Huge portions!!! Had I not been pregnant I would def have leftovers. But we definitely ate it all!! The quality of the food was very good. They did not overcook the steak which is a big deal for me. Loved this place. I am 100% coming back here!!!

I loved this place. I came here with my wife to celebrate my new job offer and it was amazing. Very comparable to ceviche piano in Brickell when that restaurant was good. A hole in the wall yet the restaurant looks so nice and clean. My wife ordered the Chicha drink and loved it. So funny bc although a typical drink from Peru, Peruvian restaurants usually don't have it. We also ordered the Lomo Saltado and pulpo ceviche. Delivious!!! All great quality and good portions. We loved this place and we are coming back.

Came here for the first time. Had a shrimp and fish ceviche and a jalea mixta. Restaurant is small, but looks very nice and tidy inside. Service was ok, 2 gentleman took care of us. The younger one was very attentive and helped us decide, however the older gentleman seemed in a hurry and kinda left us with a word in our mouth a few times. The ceviche was delicious, tasted fresh and light. I would definitely try a different ceviche next time. The jalea was disappointing. While the portion was very generous , the taste was not there. The tostones were not fresh (frozen from a bag) and they didn't have any tartar sauce which they didn't mention until the younger gentleman notice that we didn't have any on the table. Overall it was a ok experience. We would come again and try something else.

Never knew it was located there but with the continuous flow of customers that came in and out, others did. The staff is very welcoming the minute you walk in and explains the special(s) that might be happening at the time. If you arrive during their Lunch Special, I recommend doing it as you get an appetizer, entrée and a drink with your order. Certain items are excluded from this special but it is noted on the menu. I was luck to arrive during to lunch special which I ordered Papa a la Huancaina. This yellow, creamy sauce over potatoes had so much flavor and the right amount of heat that I was scrapping every drop sauce off the plate before handing it over. For my entree, I ordered the Linguini a la Huancaina w/ chicken. This overall dish was super delicious. The chicken is flatten when cooked and the pasta to Huancaina sauce portions are perfect for each bite. Ceviche was order by my co works order which I recommend everyone to try at least once at Peruvian restaurant. For someone who is not a fan of fish or certain seafood, Peruvian ceviche is made a certain way to mask that fishy/ seafood flavor. You get this acidic, yummy bite from lime juice and onions that are included. I do recommend bringing some kind of jacket or coverup because the inside of the restaurant was very nice but extremely cold. I saw many parties chose to sit outside after being sat inside due to the temperature. Also the bathroom location, there is a hallway near the bar you will need to walk down to get to it. Smells like fresh limes walking down the hallway and is very clean but can be a tad confusing looking for it generally.

She kept walking in and out until finally she told us that all the spoons in the restaurant were occupied and we had to wait. Meanwhile the soup had already been sitting there for over 10 minutes getting cold. At the end, Alejandro the only person actually trying to help finally went and found a spoon himself. By then my husband didn't even want the soup anymore. Our original waiter finally came back and asked if we wanted him to reheat the soup ‍ My husband said no, please just take it away and bring the check. Then the waiter says, "Look, I removed the soup from the bill," as if that fixed the situation The saddest part is that no manager ever came over, nothing. Everyone acted like this was completely normal. The only person who genuinely tried to resolve the situation was Alejandro.

We started by sharing the scallops as an appetizer, and they were absolutely delicious--one of my favorite parts of the meal. They were cooked perfectly and full of flavor. I especially loved that fresh lime taste; it made the dish feel so vibrant. My friends ordered a few different entrées, and I got to try a little bit of everything. Everything looked amazing, but I especially loved the shrimp risotto. For dessert, the maracuyá cheesecake was completely out of this world--so divine. It paired perfectly with an Americano coffee and was the perfect way to end the meal. The one disappointment for me was the sangria. We all shared some, and unfortunately it tasted watered down, more like diluted wine than a true house-made sangria. I was really hoping for something fresher and more flavorful. Overall, I had a lovely experience. The food and dessert were definitely the highlights, and I would absolutely come back. Next time I'd love to try one of their cocktails and order a full entrée of my own.

It's a layered, fruity cocktail that's a little more complex. Personally, I prefer the Pisco Sour it's cleaner and more balanced for my taste. But if you like citrusy and berry-forward drinks, you might love this one. Again, these are my reviews based on my taste buds. You might feel differently and that's ok honey. + Espresso Martini ($16) : 9/10 Strong, chocolatey, and gets the job done. + Lychee Martini ($16) : 8.6/10 Clean and balanced. Sin duda es un lugar al que volveré y que recomiendo a cualquiera que quiera disfrutar de buena comida peruana.

I have never been so disappointed after spending so much money at a Peruvian restaurant…read more I'm a foodie, and I have no problem paying $$$$ for a meal if it's worth it. One thing about me: I'm absolutely obsessed with Peruvian cuisine. Unfortunately, this place completely missed the mark. The service was terrible from the start. They use electronic tablets as menus, but mine was dead. I had to wait nearly 10 minutes just to get someone's attention and receive a replacement. That's just the beginning. My food arrived before my drinks, and I had to repeatedly ask for a bottle of water and a spoon. I ordered the chaufa, and it was incredibly oily. It didn't even have the proper color or flavor you'd expect from a good Peruvian fried rice. I would've taken a photo, but by that point we had already waited so long that I just wanted to eat. To make matters worse, the dish was mostly rice with maybe 10 pieces of chicken scattered throughout. I left half of it untouched. I also ordered ceviche and specifically wanted shrimp and fish. Instead, they brought me fish only and somehow upsold me to a different fish that I never asked for. Of course, I didn't find that out until the bill arrived. Overall, it was overpriced, disappointing, and nowhere near worth the money. Save yourself the frustration and spend your hard-earned money somewhere else.

Each order comes with wonton or egg drop soup plus an egg roll. I ended up getting crab rangoons as well and they were the perfect craving quencher. Highly recommend this place and can't wait to go back.

I've wanted to try this place for years, and now I finally get why people quietly swear by it…read more Wing's is one of those increasingly rare hybrids: Peruvian Chinese (chifa) and old-school American Chinese takeout, run the way it's been run for decades. No rebrand. No influencer nonsense. Just food. You can't dine in--and haven't been able to for about four years--because they don't have the staff to support it. No dishwasher, tight labor across the board. So this is strictly takeout. Accept that now. Then eat it on the hood of your car and be very happy. Egg rolls first. These are real egg rolls. Thick wrapper. Proper filling. Pork (he said beef this week, but my tongue says pork), visible shrimp, cabbage, and--most importantly--preserved mustard greens. That funky, savory note that modern egg rolls forgot existed. Get extra. Freeze them. You'll thank me later. Wonton Especial. This is the soup you order when you want everything. Vegetables, shrimp, chicken, pork wontons. Clean, savory broth that tastes like someone actually cared when they made it. Pork fried rice. Legit. Big chunks of roast pork. Egg. Scallions. Dark soy flavor. No beige sadness. Could I dock them for no bean sprouts? Sure. Am I going to, at this price and quality? Absolutely not. This is real takeout from a 20+ year business that never tried to be anything else. I told the owner flat out: if he moved this operation to Coral Springs, he'd make a fortune. Until then, Davie knows what it has. Bring napkins. Eat outside. Respect the classics. And bring cash.
