Attention all Peruvians! I don't want to tell you how amazing this place is because I'm afraid it will get too busy! Listen to me when I say this, I've tried every Peruvian restaurant in all of South Florida and this one is the best of all. A hidden little spot in a strip plaza you would not expect to find such amazing food. If you are reading this, stop reading and go eat here. You will not regret it. The ceviche is amazing and fresh. Each component tastes like it should. The rocoto is fresh and even has black specs from the actual seeds. The sauces are amazing, they have a fresh jalapeño one that does not have huacatay but it's so good you barely miss it. Every dish that I've tried has been excellent. The arroz chaufa (and I'm not one who loves arroz chaufa) is the best arroz chaufa I have ever had. The tallarin verdes are epic. The Lomo Salgado is tender and juicy. The portions are on point. The papa à la huancaina is bomb. The only thing that tops the food is the wonderful and attentive service. If you are looking for amazing Peruvian food, look no further! If you want to call to place your order, 954-595-2141 and press 1.

Really amazing food. Had the tallerines verdes and my wife had ceviche. High recommended hole in the wall!

I ordered Lomo Saltado. This is beef tenderloin with a delicious sauce and white rice and fries. This was delicious. My friend ordered ceviche and a different entree. It looked similar to mine. The restaurant is small, with room for about 40 diners. It's bright and airy and on a Monday afternoon at lunchtime the World Cup games blasted on the TV and the restaurant was about half full. It features lunch specials for less than $20 that include an appetizer, entree, and beverage. There was one main server and what seemed like an owner, who also was serving. She served us and though she lagged at times, she was very congenial. Hubby had the lomo saltado lunch special and paid extra for a ceviche appetizer. I love tacu tacu, so I had a pollo saltado with the rice dish. Both meals were delicious. We especially liked that they weren't too salty (often a problem with Peruvian saltado dishes). And I asked to have my onions cooked well and they obliged. My onions were perfect, cooked but with a slight crunch. I was a bit disappointed in the tacu tacu. I thought it was a tad dry. The gravy did help, but I didn't have enough and didn't think it possible to ask for more. Next time I will ask for extra gravy and stick with plain rice. They charge an extra 4% to use a credit card. (Something that has been cropping up a lot in restaurants.) We managed to dig out $65 cash between us to pay the bill. I guess we have to start carrying more cash, or pay the extra charges.

When we first arrived, our waiter completely forgot about us and another waiter had to step in and help. My husband ordered a seafood soup, and the waiter's assistant brought it out... but with no spoon. We waited about 5 minutes before she came back with a tiny dessert spoon for a seafood soup I asked the hostess if we could please get a proper spoon. She kept walking in and out until finally she told us that all the spoons in the restaurant were occupied and we had to wait. Meanwhile the soup had already been sitting there for over 10 minutes getting cold. At the end, Alejandro the only person actually trying to help finally went and found a spoon himself. By then my husband didn't even want the soup anymore. Our original waiter finally came back and asked if we wanted him to reheat the soup ‍ My husband said no, please just take it away and bring the check. Then the waiter says, "Look, I removed the soup from the bill," as if that fixed the situation The saddest part is that no manager ever came over, nothing. Everyone acted like this was completely normal. The only person who genuinely tried to resolve the situation was Alejandro.

We started by sharing the scallops as an appetizer, and they were absolutely delicious--one of my favorite parts of the meal. They were cooked perfectly and full of flavor. I wasn't really hungry, so I ordered the leche de tigre and it was incredibly satisfying--fresh, juicy, bright, lemony, and full of citrus flavor. I especially loved that fresh lime taste; it made the dish feel so vibrant. My friends ordered a few different entrées, and I got to try a little bit of everything. Everything looked amazing, but I especially loved the shrimp risotto. For dessert, the maracuyá cheesecake was completely out of this world--so divine. It paired perfectly with an Americano coffee and was the perfect way to end the meal. The one disappointment for me was the sangria. We all shared some, and unfortunately it tasted watered down, more like diluted wine than a true house-made sangria. I was really hoping for something fresher and more flavorful. Overall, I had a lovely experience. The food and dessert were definitely the highlights, and I would absolutely come back. Next time I'd love to try one of their cocktails and order a full entrée of my own.

Our Colombian empanadas were delicious. Crisp crunchy cornmeal on the outside with flavorful filling on the inside. Try it with the tangy spicy sauce. My husband and I shared the Paisa Bowl. It was a good size for 2. Came with delicious sausage, steak, chicharron, fried egg, an arepa, a half piece of avocado, and plantains. My favorite was the sausage and the arepa. Unfortunately our medium rare steak was lukewarm. The flavor was good but wish it was hot like the bowl of beans it came with. The chicharron was a bit dry so it was hard to chew for me. The plantains were perfect. Will come back to try more.

I had a great time the first time, and yep it's still that girl. Let's talk about the vibe real quick. The ambiance is everything. Modern, and just really well put together. From the furniture textures to the contrast in colors it all feels super intentional but still chill. Like, they knew what they were doing when they designed this place. 10/10 on the setting alone. Let's get down to the items shall we? What We Had Drinks ____________________ + Naori Signature Drink ($15) : 8.4/10 This one's made with Pisco Berries and Triple Sec. It's a layered, fruity cocktail that's a little more complex. Personally, I prefer the Pisco Sour it's cleaner and more balanced for my taste. But if you like citrusy and berry-forward drinks, you might love this one. Again, these are my reviews based on my taste buds. You might feel differently and that's ok honey. + Espresso Martini ($16) : 9/10 Strong, chocolatey, and gets the job done. + Lychee Martini ($16) : 8.6/10 Clean and balanced. Not too sweet, just smooth and refreshing + Pisco Sour ($16) : 10/10 My fave. Fruity, with this nice cold foam on top. Pretty sure there were peach or passionfruit notes in there. So good. * Shots - We also did a round (Don Julio, I think), and it kept the vibe going. Appetizers/Entrees __________________ +Nikkei Tiradito ($19) : 10/10 Thin tuna slices with a shouyu sauce that had a little citrusy kick. I could've had another plate just for myself. +Grilled Octopus ($20) : 8.4/10 This was good! Cooked well, had a nice char. Not my favorite thing on the table, but still strong comes with Peruvian corn and potato. +Arroz Chaufa Special ($24) : 10/10 Babyyy this dish was everything. Wok-fried rice, perfectly seasoned. That filet was so tender, and the shrimp just brought it all together. Easy standing ovation for me. * Dessert - I honestly can't remember what we ordered for dessert, but it was decent. Nothing crazy. I'd give it a 7/10. Overall Experience: 10/10 Customer Service: 10/10 Would I Be Back? Without a doubt. I even told my mom about this place and I think she went a couple months ago! One thing about me: I'm absolutely obsessed with Peruvian cuisine. Unfortunately, this place completely missed the mark. The service was terrible from the start. They use electronic tablets as menus, but mine was dead. I had to wait nearly 10 minutes just to get someone's attention and receive a replacement. That's just the beginning. My food arrived before my drinks, and I had to repeatedly ask for a bottle of water and a spoon. I ordered the chaufa, and it was incredibly oily. It didn't even have the proper color or flavor you'd expect from a good Peruvian fried rice. I would've taken a photo, but by that point we had already waited so long that I just wanted to eat. To make matters worse, the dish was mostly rice with maybe 10 pieces of chicken scattered throughout. I left half of it untouched. I also ordered ceviche and specifically wanted shrimp and fish. Instead, they brought me fish only and somehow upsold me to a different fish that I never asked for. Of course, I didn't find that out until the bill arrived. Overall, it was overpriced, disappointing, and nowhere near worth the money. Save yourself the frustration and spend your hard-earned money somewhere else.
