The inside of the establishment was clean. The guy Gabriel that served us was very attentive and make sure he got our order correctly. He had good recommendations. The food was so delicious. I got the lobster and crab boil . The boom sauce was amazing. You have to get that. You really don't need any butter sauce because the boom sauce definitely is satisfying. I also got the shark bite drink which was very nice and refreshing. It wasn't overly sweet.

I'd been craving a seafood boil, and Crafty Crab came through! I got the Make Your Own Combo with 1/2 lb headless shrimp, 1/2 lb snow crab, and 1/2 lb sausage, all in the Boom Mix (mild)--absolute perfection. The seasoning was buttery, garlicky, and had just the right kick. My husband went with 1 lb of sausage, fries, and white rice, and he was all in. I picked up my order, and the process was quick and easy. The staff was friendly, and everything was packed up perfectly--still hot and fresh when I got home. If you're craving a solid seafood boil, this is the spot. Definitely coming back for more!

Memorial Day Weekend Friday, May 24th, 2024 dinner party of 3 $113.91 w/o tip Private parking lot, no wait and immediately seated, plenty of TVs (some with sports, most with the news, wheel of fortune), a lot of people at the bar. We ordered a dozen oysters, scallops, 2 fried shrimp baskets with fries, seafood lover special and 1 alcoholic beverage. All the food was delicious. The drink was ok. Service provided by Jordon was good. Nice atmosphere aside from some of the news stations. Cons were we were hungry again within the hour and it was a bit pricey but it is seafood. We'd return for the seafood broil only. We don't believe $25.98 for a few fried shrimp and fries are worth it. Although the oysters were delicious they were light air. Scollops and its sauce were tasty but again like air. The drink needed more whiskey and less sour.

I really wanted oysters to eat by the Davie area and I thought this would be the perfect place to try some considering it's all seafood. I think this is the place for their crab and shrimp boils not necessarily for oysters. I hope to return and try their boils because their oysters were not it for me. They were huge oysters that had a taste of saltwater and very fishy. The waitress we had was very inattentive as well considering the restaurant was empty but she was kind. I hope to have a better experience and better food when I try their crab!

A complete 360 from our first visit that's why sometimes we can't base our reviews solely on one visit. But wow. I just had to find the time to applaud the turn around. Our server, forgot her name.. but mentioned she had 7 kids was a doll. She provided impeccable service. First off, she had a persona and energy that reflected off her that was contagious. She provided us with a set up and asked if we wanted butter and lemons (things you usually have to request) and she gave us premium gloves that were wayyyy better than the flimsy ones. We ordered 3 pounds of crawfish, 3 pounds of snow and it came with potatoes and corn. We also added 1/2 pound sausage in the Boom fire sauce. The sauce was good up until the bottom it became a little oily and light garlic. But nonetheless, the seafood tasted fresh and we ate all but 3 potatoes !

Let me start by stating the obvious, at least in my opinion, this Crafty Crab is not the best crab boil place I have visited in the last year; not in the last month either. In fact it ranks at the bottom of my list. Not really awful, but not great either; just meh. To start, just like this area of University the place is shabby. You can tell they remodeled it, but still rather shabby. The restrooms were relatively clean though which is a plus. And our server. BRITTANY, was fabulous. Wish I could transport her to the Crazy Crab in Davie where I think the food is better prepared and fresher. She was attentive, engaging and seemed like she genuinely liked what she was doing. It made our experience great and is the only reason why I gave two stars instead of one. So onto the food and drinks. I will start with the drinks. You might think this review is extra critical and it probably is. At the end of this review it will all become clear. As far as craft beer, they don't have great offerings. They did have Goose Island IPA in the mix and it was on draft, but Goose Island IPA is not really considered craft, at least not in the microbrew sense. Couldn't find a beer I liked, so I ordered a shot of Crown Royal. It was $10. OUCH! Also ordered a long Island iced tea. It was probably the worst long Island I have ever tasted out. It was either premixed and had gone bad, or their sour mix had gone bad. Sent it back and they tried to make us a new batch which was just as bad. I honestly think the guy in the front who was supposed to be the bartender has not had any formal training, because he made the drink like a friend of mine who doesn't really drink. It was really awful. Onto the food. It was your typical crab bowl fare. We ordered crab, shrimp, clams, green mussels and sausage between the 3 of us. We all got our own separate boils. I got 1/2 lb of clams, shrimp and green mussels with sausage. The boil came with potatoes and corn. I opted for the garlic butter sauce with a medium canjun seasoning. The butter sauce reminded me of the butter you get at the movies. I honestly have had better crab boils. So here is really why I couldn't give Crafty Crab on University anywhere near a good rating. About an hour or so after I ate their food, it went right through me. And that was quite an unpleasant experience because I was shopping at the Sawgrass mall and their bathrooms are like hot stinking saunas. Ummm, yuck!!! Crafty Crab on University, no thanks, but l would happily be willing to be served by BRITTANY anywhere. And just as a suggestion, try finding a bartender who can actual mix a good long Island iced tea. I promise you it is not hard to make a decent one if you follow any recipe you might find on the internet.

This is my chill no fuss hangout spot. The drinks are strong, the food is delicious. Our waitress this last time was the best. I can not remember her name but she was petite with curly hair. She laughed with us and had great convo. I normally go on Wednesday nights because it's pretty quiet. Location is awesome and central on university. The steamed oyster are to die for. Don't play yourself and get a dozen. I got them mild seasoning and boy did it have a kick. I don't know if the bartenders are heavy handed for fun or it's a requirement because WOW. Two drinks in and I was lit! I ate the crabmeat fries before I could snap a picture. They are definitely my favorite. Seasoned to perfection.

If you're looking for a great seafood boil place that won't destroy the bank, look no further! The ambience is very casual and laidback, with beach type decor. We had great service and the meal came out hot and just the right portion. I chose the mild buttery garlic seasoning and i chose all potatoes for my boil. It was extremely flavorful and the seafood was fresh which is very important to me! Even when they deliver to my house, it always arrives hot!

I'm always on the hunt for places that exceed the hype, and Tasty G Spot absolutely delivered…read more Let's start with the fried snapper and Gouda cheese grits. The snapper was fried to perfection--golden, crispy, and light without a trace of grease. The fish stayed flaky and moist, while the rich Creole sauce tied everything together with just the right balance of buttery richness, spice, and depth. Then came the grits... silky smooth with a creamy Gouda finish that added just enough sharpness to make every bite unforgettable. This is comfort food elevated. The ribeye was another standout. Ordered medium, it arrived exactly as requested with a beautiful sear, a warm pink center, and incredible tenderness. That's the mark of a kitchen that respects the product. Paired with the potato hash, it became one of those plates you don't want to end. The potatoes were crispy on the outside, tender inside, perfectly seasoned, and packed with flavor. Beyond the food, the experience was just as impressive. The cocktails were balanced, refreshing, and crafted with care--not just pretty to look at but genuinely delicious. The décor creates a vibrant, upscale brunch atmosphere that's stylish without feeling overdone, making it a place you'll want to linger. A special shoutout to Toya, whose service elevated the entire visit. She was attentive, knowledgeable, friendly, and never missed a beat. Great hospitality can make a good meal memorable, and she did exactly that. It's easy to see why this spot has developed such a loyal following. If you're looking for bold flavors, quality execution, handcrafted drinks, and service that makes you feel welcome, Tasty G Spot deserves a spot on your brunch and dinner rotation. This one earns a solid 10/10 from me. I'll definitely be back.

As odd as it is to go during the day and have brunch, I would say it is the move. You pull into a plaza where everything else is closed except for this business and say hi to the security guard stationed at the entrance of the place---at 11 AM---to walk into a lounge beautifully decorated with green walls, floral accents and a disco ball. It is clear that the majority of patrons come much later in the day, like after 9 PM, to get bottle service listening to a DJ or any other performer. This would explain why the air conditioning was cranked so high, to accommodate the bodies and electricity that would pack the place much later. Our server didn't crack a smile but immediately brought us water after we asked and rounded back twice to take our order. Like I said, going during the day when there are only about 5 other parties dining seems to be the move for prompt service and food preparation. The dishes came out super hot and fresh. The Creole Seafood Omelette ($26) was chock full of well seasoned shrimp and lobster and cheese, with a creamy roux on the side that was good to occasionally dip a bite into but wasn't necessary all the time. The potatoes that came on the side were just the right amount of crispy while leaving some heartiness to them. The Fried Chicken and Waffles ($26) included flavorful fried chicken with breading that didn't quit when you tore it or cut into it. The cool part of this dish is the choice you have of the waffle it comes with. The Cookies and Cream Waffles should be your go-to. They were topped with the chocolate cookie sandwich crumbles and a great homemade vanilla icing. For a Lauderhill establishment in an area where you really don't know of anything else happening, this place is worth a venture out for your brunch. I'd go back to try the other items and drinks!

The lobster bisque had a flavorful, well-seasoned broth, though it was a little light and I would have loved some chunks of lobster to add texture. I was here at the Plantation location to attend this month's 4-course Martini Madness Dinner. The restaurant was packed for a Thursday evening. Servers greeted those in attendance, offering each person a glass of ice water and complimentary bread as we awaited the first course. Course one - Crab and avocado salad paired with Sparkling Cucumber Martini. The salad was a creamy mixture of avocado, lump crab, mango, and diced bell peppers on a bed of fresh spinach. Crispy tortilla chips was added for crunch. The martini was nice and light with a sparkling crisp taste. Course two - Scallop and shrimp scampi pasta paired with Lychee Martini. This was a very good dish. Nicely cooked shrimp and scallops tossed with all dente linguine in a light butter white wine sauce. Thoroughly enjoyed the lychee martini which was sweet and absolutely delicious. Course three - Mediterranean salmon paired with Island Breeze Martini. This was a filling dish. The salmon was nicely grilled and topped with sautéed spinach, feta cheese, diced tomatoes, and pickled onions; served with Jasmine rice and grilled asparagus. The martini was well-balanced with the vodka and various fruit juices (mango, passion fruit, and pineapple) without being overly sweet. Course four - Mixed berry mousse cake paired with Strawberry Rose Sidecar Martini. Moist, decadent cake layered with berry puree and coconut anglaise. In my opinion, the martini was too strong for a light dessert. It would have been best paired with a surf & turf dish. The whole event was well put together by the pleasant staff who made sure each transition between the courses ran smoothly and the removal of the empty dishes and glasses, as well as refilling the water glass was done in a timely manner. I look forward to attending another event soon.

So good. * Shots - We also did a round (Don Julio, I think), and it kept the vibe going. Appetizers/Entrees __________________ +Nikkei Tiradito ($19) : 10/10 Thin tuna slices with a shouyu sauce that had a little citrusy kick. I could've had another plate just for myself. +Grilled Octopus ($20) : 8.4/10 This was good! Cooked well, had a nice char. Not my favorite thing on the table, but still strong comes with Peruvian corn and potato. +Arroz Chaufa Special ($24) : 10/10 Babyyy this dish was everything. Wok-fried rice, perfectly seasoned. That filet was so tender, and the shrimp just brought it all together. Easy standing ovation for me. * Dessert - I honestly can't remember what we ordered for dessert, but it was decent. Nothing crazy. I'd give it a 7/10. Overall Experience: 10/10 Customer Service: 10/10 Would I Be Back? Without a doubt. I even told my mom about this place and I think she went a couple months ago! This establishment has been Tamied™.

We came on a Wednesday night for dinner and the place was empty. Big menu with a variety of options…read moreat a fairly reasonable price. The food was pretty tasty a little salty but good. I would definitely recommend the poyoroki or the Lomo Saltado! Friendly waiter and staff, they told us about some fun events they have on weekends. Nice drink menu too with lots of options
