Literally one of my favorites now. Queen is a phenomenal bartender. The lemon pepper wings were crunchy, but didn't have enough lemon pepper seasoning on it to my taste. Other than that, everything that I tried here has been amazing. I ordered the Garcia sausage over some Gouda grits. À la carte and I was not disappointed. The fruity pebble waffle is so crunchy sweet and yummy Do not miss the shrimp and grits and the salmon bites are a must try. The music selection is great and it's low enough to where you still could have a conversation. A few areas so you can take photos and Martin playing in the background. What more do you need. Shout out to the chef. They are doing great things over there.

Very dope spot. It's located in a plaza off Oakland just a few blocks from university. The outside of the building does not justice to what lies inside. It's decorated so vibrant, RnB music was playing. Music was a bit loud but after a while you get used to it. We had reservations for 12:00 pm and were greeted and seated immediately. Chris was our assigned server and she was wonderful. She gave us time to go over the menu. She was so knowledgeable and even advised on my selection for my wings. We started off with the $35 pitcher of strawberry mimosa. The drinks were hitting the right balance. We ordered biscuits- these were huge, warm and buttery. Very flaky! I then ordered the Krispy wings with the cheesecake French toast! This was like nothing I've ever had! The hot honey paired well with the wings. The Caribbean oxtail was falling off the bone- well seasoned and braised. The grits were creamy. I can't wait to go back to this spot!

If you're looking for a place to have brunch tasty g spot is the place to be. The ambiance is nice and they have a DJ who plays r and b music while you dine. I went for a birthday brunch and they allowed us to decorate the tables. It was a large party but our server was great her name was Mari. Our food came out in a timely manner. I had the salmon and grits, it was so good i forgot to take a picture ! The oxtail and grits was another favorite but the table. Overall the experience was great, the owner was present and came by our table. She was also very nice and inviting and welcomed us back. I'll definitely be back to try other things on their menu.

My sister and I went out for brunch. It was nice inside and I can see that this is a family business. Service was very good and the food was so flavorful and I could not stop eating. I had the French toast and it was delicious. The wings were nice and crispy and the French toast was soft and I love the cheesecake filling. My sister had red velvet waffles with wings and those red velvet waffles were to die for. Overall, I would definitely go back again.

The food was overall good -- the wings and shrimp & grits were both delicious and flavorful. The seafood balls, though, were a bit overdone and lacked that fresh seafood pop I was hoping for. Service was friendly, and our waitress had a great attitude even though the wait was long -- nearly an hour just for drinks. The interior decor could use a little work, but it looks like they may have just opened this location, so I'm giving them some grace there. Once they iron out the timing and add a little more polish to the atmosphere, this spot has real potential!

Tasty G is definitely worth a visit! The food was absolutely delicious -- full of flavor and perfectly cooked. By far one of the best restaurants to go to in Lauderhill. Not only that but some of the best chicken wings ive had in a long time. The atmosphere was lively, and the music really set the tone for a fun, relaxed vibe. I actually went for a friend's birthday and they surprised her with a song and some cake. We all loved that! Definitely a place for a nice photo op as they have a designated area for you and your group to take pictures. The only downside was that the service was a bit slow, but once the food arrived, it was worth the wait. Overall, a great spot for good eats and good vibes.

I was really looking forward to trying this place, but our experience was disappointing. Our visit was not a positive one. The service was slow and unorganized, the waitress seemed uninterested in helping us. The food was just average, yet priced as if it were a fine dining experience. For what we paid, the quality simply wasn't there. Overall, we didn't feelit was worth the money, and we won't be returning. The inside is cute, but the music was a bit loud for breakfast. We never got our coffee just excuses.

This place is such a hidden gem--I'm torn between wanting to tell everyone about it and wanting to keep it all to myself! Don't let the lack of trendy decor (no grass walls here!) fool you--the food is absolutely amazing. I've slowly worked my way through the menu, and believe it or not, everything has been delicious. If I had to recommend just one item, it would hands-down be the strawberry cheesecake French toast--unreal! And you can't go wrong with any of their lemonades. The service is consistently excellent. It's a small spot, so bring your patience, but trust me--it's worth every minute of the wait. You won't be disappointed.

This was our first time visiting this restaurant. Inside of the restaurant is beautiful - decorated very nice. We ordered the fried catfish, grits and eggs. The food was really good. It was seasoned well and it was hot. Service wasn't bad but the waitress could've been more engaging and welcoming. Overall 4.5.

Love supporting black owned businesses! Tasty G Spot is in a lonely strip mall as the only business there. Don't let that stop you because once you enter the restaurant, it's a cute space! It's decorated with a garden theme, making it an Instagramable spot! I went during the week, so it was practically empty! My party of 3 enjoyed our food. I had elderly aunties with me & there were no complaints! I had the pound cake French toast with wings & tried the mango lemonade & the raspberry lemonade! Chile! It is literally pound cake, so you are having dessert for breakfast! Big backs beware! It was delicious! It needed no syrup because with the powdered sugar, it was sweet enough! As for the lemonade, if I didn't already have diabetes, I'm pretty sure I left with it! It was just the right amount of sweet!! The wings were the bomb! I loved that they let me order flats only!! I had the hot honey sauce on the side! Aunty #1 had the salmon bites with grits! She likes grits, but only made southern style. The best she's had was in New Orleans. She said that Tasty G Spot's was just as good & didn't need any seasoning or hot sauce! Aunty #2 had the omelette with breakfast potatoes! Oh my goodness! So much potatoes! She couldn't finish it all! Food is cooked to order, so my meal came out later than the other 2. Anything they could improve upon? Fix the sound system. It's too loud. It's a restaurant, not a nightclub or lounge. Music in a restaurant should be in the background so the customers can hear the conversation at our table. Service, although friendly, inconsistent. Train the servers to come back & check to see if we need anything else, like refills on our drinks. There were 10 people in the restaurant, including the workers. If they can't be attentive when the restaurant is practically empty, I can only imagine how overwhelmed they are on the busy weekends! Also, it's a brunch spot, which means a combo of breakfast & lunch. So, there should be hot chocolate & tea as beverage options, not just coffee. Overall, it was pretty good & I will probably be back to try other things on the menu!

Hidden gem that you may miss driving by but once you're inside, it's like you're transported to a pretty forest garden. Very Instagramable decor and they have spots set up just for good photos. The staff is friendly and the food is good looking too. There's a full bar and a lot of good drink creations. They don't serve coffee though. Lemonade and juices are available. I tried the fried chicken and French toast. It was delicious. The chicken wings were lightly breaded, fried very crispy and seasoned well. Comes with 5 pieces plus 4 wonderfully battered pieces of bread. Everything was fresh and came out piping hot. The grits were buttery and smooth. My friend's omelet was a huge portion and the seasoned potatoes were amazing. Now I know why they're famous. Prices are a bit on the higher end but the quality is good. Will be back to try more.

I went to Tasty G's for the first time for a birthday brunch with some friends. The overall vibe was cool. I loved the music they were playing and it was chill and lowkey vibe. Other than waiting a bit too long for my paradise punch, it tasted delicious so the wait was worth it. I had the fried catfish with grits and it was delicious. It was Very flavorful and a good portion of food. I also liked how they had different backdrops for photo ops. Me and my sistas had a great time and I plan to return

The love and light…read morethat lives in Chef Juliette truly trickles down through her staff and shows up in every detail of the service. No matter when I visit, it's always a warm, hospitable experience--honestly reminiscent of The Ritz-Carlton. Surrounding businesses could learn a great deal from them. I first met Chef Juliette during a visit from DC in September 2025. My best friend introduced us, and immediately I felt the love of a mother and the passion of a seasoned chef who genuinely loves what she does. And that passion? It translates directly through the food. A few weeks ago, I was back in town visiting again, and the energy was exactly the same. We stopped by to pick up a catering order for an event, and Chef Juliette sent us off with pork chop sandwiches so big--and so good--I barely touched the catering food that day (thank goodness for to-go boxes and a freezer). I was able to bring back BBQ chicken, ribs, and the "Turn It Up Rice"--which is out of this world. Perfectly cooked rice layered with crisp vegetables, shrimp, chicken, and brisket... smoky, flavorful, and such a creative spin on fried rice. Then, the day after, Chef invited us back for a VIP experience--and when I say the love is real, y'all... it's real! She prepared a savory seafood étouffée enriched with shrimp and lobster, served over creamy polenta--an elevated take on traditional shrimp and grits. Paired with fresh-baked buttermilk biscuits, sausage from her brother in Georgia, and perfectly crispy bacon... everything was divine. The kind of meal that evokes emotion--the kind that makes you feel genuinely cared for. The restaurant itself feels cozy and welcoming--rich with history and personality. Every time I visit, I discover a new layer of her story which is told along the walls and decor. Chef Juliette is truly something special. If you're ever in the Pompano or Fort Lauderdale area, do yourself a favor and visit Lickie Stickie! And don't leave without trying the baked beans and black-eyed peas--Chef puts okra in them, and I don't want them any other way ever again. Outstanding.

Up first we got the "the trio" which is soul rolls, Mac n cheese balls and buffalo wontons. The soul rolls were the size of my thumb and wasn't really worth it for me, the Mac n cheese balls were tasty and flavorful just a little too crunchy, and the buffalo wontons were delicious too. Then we also got jerk wings which were super delicious especially the pineapple salsa on top. We also got the collard green dip which was magnificent! If you ever had longhorns spinach artichoke dip it's very similar but I'd give Gigis a slight edge. Onto our entrees, I got the sweet jerk salmon with Mac n cheese and candied yams. This meal was fire, the salmon was slightly overcooked but the sweet jerk glaze made up for it. The Mac and cheese had a truffle type flavor in it, I personally don't like truffle but regardless it was baked very well and seasoned well. The candied yams were amazing. It was sweet and mashed very well. They also gave a huge piece of cornbread(i think it's whole wheat) with honey drizzle on top and that tasted like home cooking it was delicious. My girlfriend got the soul bird with the same sides. But the chicken wings were fried hard and season well with honey drizzle on top. Then for dessert we tried the sweet potato brownie. The DJ even welcomed me on the mic, which was a nice touch. On Saturdays they have Brunch Party from 12-5. You can only order from the brunch menu. Im glad to say that our waitress was prompt, and the food came out quickly, fresh, and well-seasoned. Special shoutout to the sweet jerk wings. Really yummy! No one had a complaint about the taste of the food. Taste was on point. However, there were several disappointments. One of our party members arrived at around 4:45 PM, and when her food arrived, it was placed in a to-go bag without any warning. Additionally, when I raised concerns about me receiving 5 drums and 1 flat in my chicken wing order, the waitress said she didn't know if anything could be done and left it at that, leaving me to handle the situation myself. Ordering all flats was not allowed so, I should've received a better balance and after learning that I wasn't happy, something should have been done about it A bigger issue was that the café closed abruptly at 5 PM. DJ literally stopped the music and started packing up. Staff starting laughing and congregating with each other, like customers were not still in the restaurant. An establishment, should not accept a 4pm reservation for a party of 10 knowing that it closes abruptly at 5pm. We didnt fully get to enjoy the "party." The waitress kept saying "I wish you guys wouldve come earlier to get the full experience." The waitress said that we could stay to finish our food until 5:45 PM, but the lights came on at 5:30 PM, and we felt rushed to leave. Overall, while the food and initial atmosphere were great, the lack of communication and customer care left a lot to be desired.
