I stopped by for $1 wings Wednesday as advertised on IG. It stated the deal is good for dine in/ take out. If you buy 10 wings you'll get a side of fry complimentary! What a deal, I couldn't pass. Employees were not aware that the deal was good for take out and dine in. I arrived and asked the host/security if the deal was good for take out he asked and instructed me to the bar. I was advised that the deal is only good for dine in. I checked their IG page again and a post was made stating the deal was good for dine in/ take out. Houston came to Fort Lauderdale, and The Tasty G Spot did not disappoint! We had the Cajun seafood omelet and the seafood duo with catfish, shrimp and grits, along with the honey butter biscuit--and everything was amazing! The biscuit alone will have you thinking about your next visit! The blueberry strawberry lemonade and strawberry lemonade were delicious and refreshing--the perfect addition to our meal. Beyond the food, the service was amazing, and the ambiance made the whole experience even better. Great food, great service, and great vibes--we truly enjoyed ourselves! The food was overall good -- the wings and shrimp & grits were both delicious and flavorful. The seafood balls, though, were a bit overdone and lacked that fresh seafood pop I was hoping for. Service was friendly, and our waitress had a great attitude even though the wait was long -- nearly an hour just for drinks. The interior decor could use a little work, but it looks like they may have just opened this location, so I'm giving them some grace there. I have to admit, part of the allure of going to this place is to be able to say you sat in and ate the Tasty G Spot. Giggity. As odd as it is to go during the day and have brunch, I would say it is the move. You pull into a plaza where everything else is closed except for this business and say hi to the security guard stationed at the entrance of the place---at 11 AM---to walk into a lounge beautifully decorated with green walls, floral accents and a disco ball. It is clear that the majority of patrons come much later in the day, like after 9 PM, to get bottle service listening to a DJ or any other performer. This would explain why the air conditioning was cranked so high, to accommodate the bodies and electricity that would pack the place much later. Our server didn't crack a smile but immediately brought us water after we asked and rounded back twice to take our order. Like I said, going during the day when there are only about 5 other parties dining seems to be the move for prompt service and food preparation. The dishes came out super hot and fresh. The Creole Seafood Omelette ($26) was chock full of well seasoned shrimp and lobster and cheese, with a creamy roux on the side that was good to occasionally dip a bite into but wasn't necessary all the time. The potatoes that came on the side were just the right amount of crispy while leaving some heartiness to them. The Fried Chicken and Waffles ($26) included flavorful fried chicken with breading that didn't quit when you tore it or cut into it. The cool part of this dish is the choice you have of the waffle it comes with. The Cookies and Cream Waffles should be your go-to. They were topped with the chocolate cookie sandwich crumbles and a great homemade vanilla icing. For a Lauderhill establishment in an area where you really don't know of anything else happening, this place is worth a venture out for your brunch. Tasty G is definitely worth a visit! The food was absolutely delicious -- full of flavor and perfectly cooked. By far one of the best restaurants to go to in Lauderhill. Not only that but some of the best chicken wings ive had in a long time. The atmosphere was lively, and the music really set the tone for a fun, relaxed vibe. I actually went for a friend's birthday and they surprised her with a song and some cake. We all loved that! Definitely a place for a nice photo op as they have a designated area for you and your group to take pictures. Literally one of my favorites now. Queen is a phenomenal bartender. The lemon pepper wings were crunchy, but didn't have enough lemon pepper seasoning on it to my taste. Other than that, everything that I tried here has been amazing. I ordered the Garcia sausage over some Gouda grits. À la carte and I was not disappointed. The fruity pebble waffle is so crunchy sweet and yummy Do not miss the shrimp and grits and the salmon bites are a must try. The music selection is great and it's low enough to where you still could have a conversation. A few areas so you can take photos and Martin playing in the background. What more do you need. If you're looking for a place to have brunch tasty g spot is the place to be. The ambiance is nice and they have a DJ who plays r and b music while you dine. I went for a birthday brunch and they allowed us to decorate the tables. It was a large party but our server was great her name was Mari. Our food came out in a timely manner. I had the salmon and grits, it was so good i forgot to take a picture ! The oxtail and grits was another favorite but the table. Overall the experience was great, the owner was present and came by our table. She was also very nice and inviting and welcomed us back. My sister and I went out for brunch. It was nice inside and I can see that this is a family business. Service was very good and the food was so flavorful and I could not stop eating. So when you pull up it's like mmmm is this right? The little center looks almost abandoned and all shops have blacked out windows. Then you walk in and security is there to greet you. But when the smell hits you you know food is about to hit ! Smell of good cooking and patchouli! Atmosphere is a mood - pretty vines hanging inside, murals on the wall, tv playing 90s sitcoms and R&B coming from speakers. Our waitress was sweet. Now there is a wait for food, but a warning that food is from scratch on the menu. Went on Friday morning and Place was less than half full and took about 35-40 min. So not sure how it will be on weekend, wouldn't recommend going if you're already starving. But to me the food was worth the wait! I had red velvet waffles and chicken wings (honey/garlic) soo good and nice size plate. Husband hasd fish and grits and his was even better! Didn't have alcohol but the other tables all had mimosas and other "breakfast" drinks and they looked good. A little pricey but you are getting fresh hot food. $65 for the two of us. Hidden gem that you may miss driving by but once you're inside, it's like you're transported to a pretty forest garden. Very Instagramable decor and they have spots set up just for good photos. The staff is friendly and the food is good looking too. There's a full bar and a lot of good drink creations. They don't serve coffee though. Lemonade and juices are available. I tried the fried chicken and French toast. It was delicious. The chicken wings were lightly breaded, fried very crispy and seasoned well. Comes with 5 pieces plus 4 wonderfully battered pieces of bread. Everything was fresh and came out piping hot. The grits were buttery and smooth. My friend's omelet was a huge portion and the seasoned potatoes were amazing. Now I know why they're famous. Prices are a bit on the higher end but the quality is good. I attended The Tasty G spot with a large group of my friends for brunch which can be a challenge for some establishments but the Tasty G Spot welcomed us with grace and flexibility which I appreciated! My friend and I visited Tasty G Spot expecting to have an enjoyable dining experience, and while I understand that restaurants can become busy, the overall wait time was extremely disappointing. We waited approximately 45 minutes to an hour just to be seated. Once we were finally seated, we were informed that we would have to wait another 45 minutes to an hour for our food. After placing our order, we waited approximately 30 minutes just for our pitcher of mimosas to arrive. Throughout our entire visit, our waitress only came by our table about 2-3 times, and each interaction was very brief. After waiting more than 45 minutes, we were then informed that the order we had placed earlier was only just being put in. At that point, the experience became increasingly frustrating, especially considering how long we had already been waiting. I want to emphasize that I am a reasonable person and understand that weekends can be busy and that delays can happen. However, the combination of the extended wait to be seated, the additional wait for food, the lack of communication and table service, and the delay in our order made the experience very difficult to enjoy. Unfortunately, the food was not worth the amount of time or money we spent. My friend did speak with the manager about our experience. The manager was understanding and explained that they recommend coming during the weekday rather than on the weekend for a better experience. I appreciate the manager taking the time to address our concerns, but based on this visit, I would hope the restaurant considers improving its weekend staffing, communication, and service. Customers are more understanding of long wait times when they are kept informed and feel attended to throughout their visit. read more

The wait time for a table was 60-90 minutes, once you were finally seated you'll probably have to wait another 30-45 minutes for a drink because and I quote "go in order of the drinks that were ordered in the whole restaurant" HOW ELSE ARE YOU SUPPOSED TO PROCESS ORDERS? Anyways once you do get the drinks if it's a large party or a small party the drinks may come out at different times. after you enjoy and finish your drinks over the next 30 minutes your food will arrive - and all you got is water left and you are scared to order another drink cause you can't risk another 30-45 minutes....now to the most important part - the food! I went with the "cookies & cream chicken & waffles" and my friend went with the "fried pork chop" sadly neither one of us could say that the food was amazing. It was decent at best. I liked the chicken wings they were fried & seasoned perfectly. The waffles tasted like the waffles you make in the waffle makers at hotels - but not the good hotels, it's like a best western vibe waffle. My friend said the fried pork chop was tuff, hard to cut through and chew. He enjoyed the grits but the eggs were too salty. I had elderly aunties with me & there were no complaints! I had the pound cake French toast with wings & tried the mango lemonade & the raspberry lemonade! Chile! It is literally pound cake, so you are having dessert for breakfast! Big backs beware! It was delicious! It needed no syrup because with the powdered sugar, it was sweet enough! Train the servers to come back & check to see if we need anything else, like refills on our drinks. There were 10 people in the restaurant, including the workers. If they can't be attentive when the restaurant is practically empty, I can only imagine how overwhelmed they are on the busy weekends! Don't let the look of this place fool you because it's located inside a warehouse across from a car garage, but the food is amazing and so is the service. 2 sitting tables outside and 3 located inside, tight space, but immediately greeted once walking in. The menu has a variety of choices with reasonable prices. My friend ordered the salmon bites with grits, I ordered the stuffed strawberry French roar with wings and side order of grits with sauce... amazing and fresh! the arrival of the food was about 30-35 minutes, but it's worth it. A couple of friends and I decided to go out to brunch today and really didn't have a particular place to go to. So we were up in Broward County Florida and decided to try out tasty G's. Well that was a very good idea. We walked in the place is definitely inviting don't judge it by the outside. Our waitress was Michelle she was very kind professional and patient. We asked her a couple of questions about the menu she knew exactly what we were talking about she was able to answer the questions with details. They do have a bar and it looks to be a full bar. The food was absolutely amazing everything we ordered was amazing. The portions were huge we each brought half of our food home. There was one thing that one of us ordered coffee and the coffee was cold but of course Michelle was right on top of it and she took care of it and was very apologetic. I recently visited Tasty G's and overall the food was delicious and very fresh. The restaurant has a beautiful aesthetic and the atmosphere is very welcoming when you walk in, which made me excited to try it. I ordered the shrimp and grits and added Gouda cheese. The dish itself tasted great and the ingredients were clearly fresh. I also added a side order of toast, but it was brought out much later than the rest of the meal. Unfortunately, when it finally came out, there was no apology or acknowledgment of the delay. My main issue during the visit was with our server, Destiny. When I asked a question about my order because I didn't see the cheese (I later realized it was mixed in), her response came across as very rude and aggressive. I was simply asking for clarification, but her tone and delivery felt unnecessarily harsh. The food and ambiance were great, but customer service is a big part of the dining experience. If you're looking for a hole in the wall, this is the place to be. Although it may look sketchy, and be in a "sketchy" area, i think this adds to the experience. Other places will fill you up with grits, and maybe 5 shrimps. Not here. 10 shrimp, i wanna say size 16-20, and u can literally eat a bite of shrimp with a bite of grits and you wouldn't have too much of either. We had a great experience! The food was DELICIOUS and though there was a little wait for the food, it was fresh and hot... I'll wait for hot food all day, lol. I had the "Build Your Own" breakfast and chose the pancakes... soooo yummy. My hubby had the Creole Seafood Omelette and gave it rave reviews (I have a seafood allergy and couldn't taste it). They plated his breakfast potatoes separately so I could share them and I'll just say this: GET THE POTATOES!!! The catfish is not crispy and it was too fishy unfortunately we returned that also. The lobster is a bit salty considering it's already a salty meat shouldn't have to season it as much, we ordered a Mimosa pitcher in which the bartender gave us flat champagne so we had to return it, our waitress fixed it over and it was delicious. We were set at a table with a ceiling leak so we were moved. They didn't block the area off and turned around and sat more guest there which was awkward. Otherwise not a bad experience at all. But the place is very small on the inside maybe 3-4 tables inside and they do have some seating outside. Also I'm a sucker for good music and they just started playing music and it most definitely was a vibe. The young lady taking our order was nice and pleasant. No complained there. Now to the food. The food here was very flavorful. The wife had the shrimp and grits and I'm kicking myself for not ordering that too. But what I had wasn't bad itself. I did the omelette and breakfast potatoes.
