So, when my wife googled the restaurant it said, "discover Casa De Amore in Tamarac, Fl serving authentic Italian cuisine with a cozy atmosphere" so we went into it thinking is was going to be an upscale Italian restaurant. If you've been there then imagine my surprise when I got there lol. Pulled up to the restaurant. It was in a nice little plaza. The sign needs some tlc as one of the letters is falling off. Walked in and the layout is nice, the decor feels like a blend of 80's Miami vibes going for elegance. Looks better in pictures but still works in real life. We were greeted right away, host brought us to the wrong part of the restaurant first then brought us back to where we were supposed to sit. Server showed up quick enough and was very nice. Asked if we wanted still or sparkling water. We said we just want regular water, they brought out two bottles of Evian ($10 a pop) we were a party of 6. He took our drink orders, the drinks did take a while. The bread came out and most of really liked the bread, it was like Hawaiian rolls with some butter and Parmesan cheese. One in our party wasn't a fan. But don't listen to her they were good haha. Our appetizers were good, bao buns, cracked conch, chicken wings. Here is where the stars dropped a little more. They dropped partially for time the drinks took and the bottled water. But we looked through the menu which is not authentic Italian. It's a blend of Italian dishes, Jamaican dishes, Haitian dishes (that's not what dropped the stars) the prices for the items. Some dishes were reasonably priced, others were highly over priced. My wife got Alfredo pasta at $24 and added the lobster. They were generous with the lobster and only charged an extra $20 for it. I got the Rasta pasta $24 and added chicken $6 The Alfredo was fine, the lobster was good. My pasta however was all over the place. The pasta was completely overcooked so it was a little mushy, the peppers and onions were thrown in at the end so they were uncooked. The chicken was a little dried out and the jerk wasn't hot. The sauce did have a good taste, I did eat it all and I didn't not complain about it. It's a dish I would try again but if it came out like that again I'd send it back. Our friends got the scampi pasta and it was good they said. One got lobster and mashed potatoes $65, another got the salmon $42which she woofed down. One issue we had at the table involved the music. When someone is celebrating a birthday the dj jams a birthday song a louder volume, but he does the entire song and then doesn't turn the music back down to a regular level. So people had to ask a few times to turn the music back down so we could all hear ourselves. So here is the overall The restaurant is in a nice spot It's decorated nicely The staff was very pleasant (could use some improvements) Food all had good flavor (but quality control needs to be worked on) Prices are pushing it Would we go again? Yes. Would we recommend it to others? Yes. I wish them a bunch of continued success. One last thing that we didn't like. Our server mentioned to us when he dropped the checks that a service charge was included. I'm used to that, but what got me was he said part of it goes to the restaurant some of it goes to me, so it's not actually a tip and there is an additional tip line if you'd like to add something. Unless it's a banquet, the restaurant should not receive any of the service charge. Walking in, though, the ambiance is stunning, and the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. The drinks were also really good. We ordered a variety of dishes, all well-seasoned, almost a bit too seasoned. The jerk chicken and snapper, in particular, were spicier than expected and a bit beyond my usual heat tolerance. Also, be prepared for a longer wait time for food, as the kitchen was backed up when we went late night. Overall, the vibe was great. One friend ordered the tomahawk steak, and I ordered chicken and rice after informing the server about my shellfish allergy. He mentioned my options would be chicken or a vegetable plate. My utensils were wrapped in a cloth napkin, but when I unwrapped them, they were stained and sticky. I alerted the server, who promised replacements. However, they arrived much later, only when he returned to ask about dessert or the check. When the food came out, my chicken was cold. My friend received a T-bone instead of the tomahawk she ordered. It was also cooked well done despite being ordered medium. She could not eat it. It took about 20 minutes for the server to return so she could request a correction. A manager did come to apologize, which I appreciated, but it took another 30 minutes for the replacement steak to arrive. This time it was a tomahawk, but it was medium well and stone cold. The one highlight beyond the decor was the birthday celebration. They brought out a complimentary dessert with sparklers, music, and lighting effects. It created a fun Miami nightlife moment that fit the brand of the restaurant very well. Overall, the space is gorgeous and the birthday presentation was memorable. However, the food quality, service timing, and attention to detail did not justify the pricing. I do not see myself returning. This restaurant is so chic! The pink vintage aesthetic gives off such an upbeat vibe, along with the good music. Our waitress was very friendly and helped us navigate through the menu. Although it was my first time, I had such a nice experience at Casa De Amore! The ambiance was absolutely beautiful, very pretty, warm, and welcoming from the moment we walked in. The décor and overall vibe made it feel like the perfect spot to relax and enjoy the evening. The service was great as well. The only reason I'm leaving three stars is because our waitress Dani was great. Let's start with arrival. Upon arriving there was no hostess at the front. I stood waiting for a while and I was never greeted by anyone, so I had a seat at the bar. When everyone else arrived, initially we were told my a random staff we would not be seated until everyone arrived. Keep in mind at this moment 11 out of the 15 were there and waiting. Finally the hostess seat is at our tables. For a party of 15 we sat at two different tables. We had to request for another table to get added. Now on to the food. The table was NEVER even served water. Apparently, water is only provided upon request and it's an additional cost. The food was extremely OVERPRICED!! The menu was pretty basic. The food was decent but is NOT NOT worth the price at all. The cocktails were okay, again nothing mind blowing. I started with the house salad and for the main course I had the shrimp Rasta pasta. Everyone else said their food tasted ok, but not worth the cost. Here's what others has to say about their meals "the lobster bisque was under seasoned, the rice that was served with the oxtail was dry, the salmon needed more glaze and the wings were okay". I really wanted to love it. We were really excited to try this restaurant since we don't have anything like this in our area. I think because we went opening weekend and a social media influencer posted this restaurant they were not prepared for the rush that they got. We made reservations earlier in the day for 8pm and we arrived earlier and was told our reservations were not there. The hostess talked to someone else who was able to find our reservations and we were finally seated. A lady came and gave us water glasses but no water. We waited for what seemed to be 30 min before being acknowledged. They have a QR system to view the menu and you can purchase from this as well but we got the impression that you are not supposed to. When I placed the order is when the server acknowledged us. I ordered a old fashioned and smoked old fashioned (which is 5 dollars more) and was told the smoke machine was not working this was after I already spent 45 dollars on the drinks. Our friends ordered a margarita with light ice and both received a frozen margarita they were not impressed. Now that we had the servers attention we placed the rest of the orders. We sat down at 8 and it food came at 930. But remember I don't think they were fully prepared for the effect that the influencer has on the south Florida community. Food presentation looked beautiful. I had the lobster bisque which had chunks of lobster it was not salty and was very tasty. Alisha the lobster mac and cheese. I can tell it was sitting out for awhile because it was almost cold and not creamy at all. My mom had the lamb lollipops with asparagus and mashed potatoes. She would have liked some gravy for the mashed potatoes but she used my lobster bisque in is place. Also the way the asparagus was done they were not tasty and she left them. Our friend had the lobster and she enjoyed that. Even though it was a birthday celebration we did not order a dessert. Our server apologized for the long wait and offered to get us a round of drinks in the back area which has a dj another bar and dance floor but a bartender never showed up so we left. My friends treated me to birthday dinner here and it was great. The service was wonderful. Our waitress very attentive and our food was delivered fairly quickly after ordering. The four of us were very happy with everything. From the fried lobster to the cracked conch apps. Then the lamb chops, lobster bisque and lobster Mac and cheese. My only critique is that the Diri Djon Djon is not like the kind your Haitian mom makes so be ready for that. The rice was cooked perfectly but I was expecting the old school full flavor Djon Djon. I ate here yesterday for brunch and actually we came back for dinner. The service by Dani was absolutely amazing. She's such a sweet girl and just a vibe overall! There was so much on the menu we didn't get a chance to order for brunch so we collectively decided we had to come back but they were fully booked but we were advised the best time to come for dinner and we could sit at the bar and I wasn't sure how to feel about the bar but it turned out just fine. I ordered the Korean Bao Buns. Drinks and a like sweet siracha chicken with French toast. The mussels were 10/10 I tried. Everyone actually liked their food. I personally didn't like the QR code menu option it was a bit glitchy when trying to decide what to eat and what wasn't actually available. Also I noticed the price for certain items changed for dinner which caught me off guard. I paid $40 for lobster Mac and the dinner I partially ordered was underwhelming. I'm glad I tried it and experienced the vibe but the food just doesn't reach out to me as it may for others. I wrote a 5 star review for brunch but dinner just didn't do it for me. I really appreciate the kind service from everyone though. Had a beautiful bartender last night with locs she was great I wanted to love it more but I just couldn't. When I re looked at the menu it wasn't a lot that I'd order and if I did it was a la carte items which weren't too reasonably priced. Some were and some just didn't make sense and the portion of it is what really threw me off. I also remember them saying that a party of 6 or more will add a 18% gratuity. Well both times we were there it was never 18%. The first time I actually paid the entire bill and tipped on top of the 18% but once I realized at the bar they still charged each of us 18% I felt as though I wasn't going to tip again because I felt robbed and it's messed up because I really did enjoy the service but the price change of the food in addition to the gratuity that wasn't needed at the bar actually annoyed me a bit but I didn't say anything. Upon entering the restaurant I was very impressed with the decor and vibe of the place. It was decorated beautifully. I felt like I was on a vacation or something. I made reservations for 7:30 but we got there at 8 and they were still accommodating so I was seated immediately. The place is a little cramped and noisy since the tables were in close proximity to each other but the ambiance was beautiful and the place was nicely decorated. Each table has a lamp that gets brighter or dimmer as you tap it which I thought was fun. The menus are through QR codes and the website it takes you to shows that you can add it to your cart and purchase through there but you're not supposed to that. We were advised to wait until the waiter takes your order because if you do it through the website it confuses the cooks in the back. I think to avoid this it would be best for them to have physical menus but I know it's a new restaurant and the menu is actively changing so it will come in due time. It took 30 minutes for us to get our strawberry lemonades, about an hour to get our appetizer, and another hour to get our entrees. It was a little frustrating because there were others that got there after us that got their food before us, there was even a couple who came in, ate, and left all before we got our entree. That is the only reason I took off one star. As for the food -- amazing! The casa boulette came with three meatballs that were seasoned to perfection and there was a fried plantain under each one. The pikliz on top had the perfect amount of spice and the presentation was beautiful. 10/10. For my entree I got the Casa Surf and Turf which was $75 and came with a grilled lobster tail on an 8oz. filet mignon and a side of mac and cheese. I got my steak medium and it was cooked perfectly and seasoned even better. The lobster tasted like lobster, nothing out of the ordinary. I wasn't a fan of the mac and cheese but my mom really liked it. I'd give it a 7/10. My mom got the tail of temptation which was $38 and came with a grilled lobster tail on top of mashed potatoes and grilled asparagus and she loved it! She gave it a 9/10. The strawberry lemonades were also good. Don't let the negative reviews keep you from trying out this place! It's a brand new restaurant so of course it's not going to be perfect and there's going to be a couple mishaps but I really see the potential in this place. First impressions matter, and unfortunately, the hostess was not welcoming. She appeared to have an attitude and even rolled her eyes when asked about seating. We were given the impression that our group would all be seated together. While I understand space limitations, the communication and attitude should have been handled much better. Our waitress, Carla, was kind and professional, and I appreciate the effort she made. However, with a party of 28-30 people, there should have been additional staff helping to take orders and assist with service. There was also significant confusion with the menu. One platter was ordered based on the menu description, which clearly stated it included three proteins AND rice, plantains, and macaroni salad, PLUS three additional side items on top of what was already included. When we asked about this, we were told that this was not correct. If that's not how the dish is served, then the menu needs to be rewritten because it is very misleading. A manager was supposed to come speak with us, but no one ever did. When the food arrived, it was lukewarm and just average. I was very excited to try this restaurant, which made the experience even more disappointing. The restaurant itself was very clean and beautifully decorated, which I appreciated. Since this is a new establishment, I hope these issues are addressed and improved. Went after work on Thursday, sat at the bar. The decor and ambience are beyond amazing!!! Ordered the lobster bites, fried conch & Boulette and it came out extremely fast. All were very delicious and so were the drinks-pink lychee and porn star martinis. The staff were so friendly and professional. Loved the music and even once the DJ started, he kept the music level moderate so we could enjoy our conversation. A real vibe and enjoyable. Can't wait to go back!!! read more

The atmosphere was fantastic, with attentive servers constantly checking on the table. The food was exceptional, and the head chef even came out to see how everything was. Two managers walked around frequently to ensure guests were satisfied. The guy who brought our food also brought good energy, making everyone at the table laugh. The food was good but the service was so slow. They forgot our table and didn't even come to ask us what we want. We waited an hour for our food. It was ridiculous.
