This is not an elegant seafood restaurant, but rather a homie, comfortable neighborhood place selling great seafood and preparing tasty dishes. Something as pedestrian as hush puppies came to the table, and they were absolutely phenomenal. Light, airy, and a great crunchy cornmeal bread made them to die for. My wife had the fried catfish and loved every bite of it and I had the snow crab claws. On top of all this great food prices were very reasonable and probably half of what the "fancy seafood places "get for the same Dish. I would recommend this place to anybody who wants to try some great seafood at a great price.

The food is always great here! We have never had anything bad in the 20 years that we have been coming here. We live about an hour north and don't hesitate to come down to this place. The servers are so nice and they are super friendly and helpful. This places PACKS so the parking is tough but it is so worth it! If you haven't been here yet, you need to come and try it!

Holy Schnikies!!! I'm in heaven! And THANK YOU my fellow yelpers for steering me in the right direction. Friendly service right as you come in, place was BUSY and there was zero wait time. Our server was kind and efficient. We were welcomed with complimentary hush puppies and coleslaw both were YUM! One glance at the menu and they had me at all you can eat catfish and stone crabs!! Because my mind was blown away I had a hard time deciding, I wanted it all! I opted for the Catfish with Baked potato, an extra side of collard greens (shared with my brother) and the stone crab app. Since it was my first time here, not sure how the stone crabs would stack up. They were very good! Fresh and delish. I'm really in awe, the food all of it was tasty! The service was on point and the vibe feels like you've stepped into an old country story book with old rock tunes blaring in the background. FUN all around. All that we ate for only $73, plus left a $20 tip, all under $100 for seafood galore and a great experience!

I started off with the fried green tomatoes, can you say perfection! Seasoned just right and then fried to a golden brown. I ate all of them. Then I ordered the all you can eat crab special 60$ which came with hush puppies which were delicious and good cole slaw. The two sides I ordered were a sweet potato which was delish but smaller than the palm of my hand and creamed corn which was ok. They brought me 2 clusters then 3 clusters then 4 clusters and I could not even finish those . So you definitely can eat all that you would like . The staff was extremely welcoming . I sat at the bar and Glen was an excellent server .Parking was easy with an attendant telling you where to go which was so helpful . I will definitely go again and sit at the bar .

From the moment we walked in , and our friendly Hostess Patricia greeted us, I knew it would be great! As soon as you sit down, they greet you with excellent Hushpuppies and Coleslaw! The Fried Green Tomatoes are so good.... Then we had Stone Crab , that was some of the Freshest and tastiest I've ever had, and I am a connoisseur, of this shellfish living in Florida for over 50 years ! The Collard Greens are also so good. The Mojitos I had were excellent, and the the Key Lime Pie was authentic, and excellent, all at very reasonable pricing !! It's not a glamorous place , but a down south Florida eatery! Do not miss it !!

It's okay. Was looking for a simple and casual restaurant which this certainly qualifies. I sat at the bar. Bartender service was friendly enough, prices reasonable, food was a bit bland, beer was cold, facility is in rough shape. I had the snapper. Looked great but not much flavor. Mashed potatoes I could not eat. Fried pickles appetizer was soggy. But key lime pie was excellent.

This is an older well established family owned restaurant that is popular for their All You Can Eat seafood platters. You can get stone crab legs, shrimp, catfish among other. I didn't go for the AYCE menu but tried their Catfish made in different ways. The bone in fried catfish had a stronger taste than I was expecting but their breaded filet tasted great. It came with tartar sauce but my server Philip read my mind, I guess, and got me a Cajun sauce as well. The Cajun sauce was made in house and you could tell. I had a 12 oz catfish off their lunch menu and it came with coleslaw, hush puppies and an extra side of your choice. I opted for collards and it was really good. After reading some of the reviews of their veggies (esp green beans) I had really low expectations but collards was done well. It had bacon bits and the little sugar that was added cut the bitterness of collards. The free hush puppies were decent too. The music didn't really appeal much to me. It was a bit loud and not necessarily something that you want to sit long and relax. Maybe it was on purpose considering the AYCE offerings. Service, however, was super prompt. Philip was attentive and great to talk to. The restaurant has parking in the front, side and in the back as well but looks like it gets full pretty fast. Considering the size of this restaurant and its popularity, it's understandable. However, there is a parking lot attendant to guide you if it overflows. This is a place people go for quantity more than quality but their menu is huge, so your experience largely depends on what you order.

I had two piece catfish with fries and a side of Mac and cheese. To say it was disappointing is an understatement. The fries were cold and the fish was bland. The Mac and cheese tasted bland as well. In my opinion, I probably would never come back. Based on the reviews I expected a lot more in the flavor department. However the hush puppies are definitely good. I enjoyed the hush puppies the most out of everything that was on my plate. Its ambiance was dark and dank. A grease spoon bar feel. It was definitely do the elderly crowd. It was a bit rundown in my opinion. Could definitely use renovations. Although the servers were polite and prompt. I don't think I will be returning.

Came here for all you can eat stone crab and definitely ended up eating as much stone crab as I could, without even needing to order the all you can eat option The key lime pie was really good too!

Catfish Dewey's was a bit disappointing this time around!! We ate there pre-COVID and the food was very good. We got the all you can eat fried shrimp and catfish that time. We hurt ourselves trying to finish it all. We had high hopes this time around; however, they fell short! The fried shrimp & fish were lacking flavor and the blackened fish & shrimp needed salt or additional seasoning as well. Our waitress was ok! She spent the most time talking with us about her love of fishing than she did taking our order. It felt like she really didn't want to do it. All in all, we did not go back a second time as we had planned! Disappointing to say the least! The restaurant was loud (not overly) and busy with customers who were enjoying the conversation while eating the dinner! so maybe there's hope that we might give them another try if/when we return to Fort Lauderdale!

I still love the AUCE snow crab nights. Right now they are served on Sunday and Thursday for All you can eat Alaskan Snow Crab Legs $69.99 ($65.99 on Sundays & Thursdays). They just keep bringing them until you can't eat anymore - and they are always HOT with butter. I really like the corn hush puppies and cole slaw. I don't eat anything else as it fills me up - and that means less crab to me. I also like the Lunch Shrimp -$15.99 - 1/2 lb. of large fried shrimp with hushpuppies and cole slaw and a side. Service is always pleasant and good about asking if we want more crabs or more drinks. I have written much longer reviews on Catfish Dewey's but I got prompted to update my review so it's short. If you want more detail , please read earlier reviews.

After a coworker requested we get Stone Crabs, we visited Catfish Dewey's for their second and my first time! The staff was friendly and the restaurant was packed on a Thursday night! We ordered a variation of crabs and a chicken dish, and everything was delicious! There was so much food we had tons of leftovers! The hush puppies were delicious, crab was amazing, and the experience was great. Highly recommend!

No matter when I visit, it's always a warm, hospitable experience--honestly reminiscent of The Ritz-Carlton. Surrounding businesses could learn a great deal from them. I first met Chef Juliette during a visit from DC in September 2025. My best friend introduced us, and immediately I felt the love of a mother and the passion of a seasoned chef who genuinely loves what she does. And that passion? It translates directly through the food. A few weeks ago, I was back in town visiting again, and the energy was exactly the same. We stopped by to pick up a catering order for an event, and Chef Juliette sent us off with pork chop sandwiches so big--and so good--I barely touched the catering food that day (thank goodness for to-go boxes and a freezer). I was able to bring back BBQ chicken, ribs, and the "Turn It Up Rice"--which is out of this world. Perfectly cooked rice layered with crisp vegetables, shrimp, chicken, and brisket... smoky, flavorful, and such a creative spin on fried rice. Then, the day after, Chef invited us back for a VIP experience--and when I say the love is real, y'all... it's real! She prepared a savory seafood étouffée enriched with shrimp and lobster, served over creamy polenta--an elevated take on traditional shrimp and grits. Paired with fresh-baked buttermilk biscuits, sausage from her brother in Georgia, and perfectly crispy bacon... everything was divine. The kind of meal that evokes emotion--the kind that makes you feel genuinely cared for. The restaurant itself feels cozy and welcoming--rich with history and personality. Every time I visit, I discover a new layer of her story which is told along the walls and decor. Chef Juliette is truly something special. If you're ever in the Pompano or Fort Lauderdale area, do yourself a favor and visit Lickie Stickie! And don't leave without trying the baked beans and black-eyed peas--Chef puts okra in them, and I don't want them any other way ever again. Outstanding.

As the place was empty and two women working were talking at the bar I walked in and went to sit. One of the women asked if I was with the group and then told me I needed to wait to be seated. It was awkward. It was a bit rude. Most times it's not what you say, but how you say it. Maybe it's just me, but the waitress immediately informed me that three items weren't available, including biscuits and cornbread of some sort. As a first-timer, it was weird. Fortunately, everything got better from there. My first meal, regardless of time, needs to be breakfast-y. As I perused the weekday brunch menu via QR code (what if you don't have a phone?) I ordered a coffee and water. The water came quickly, but the coffee took its time. I ordered the Wafflette (don't you want to try things you can't get other places?) It came as pictured and was good. The syrup was quite watery and left a lot to be desired, but I really didn't need it. The star of this dish is the bacon. I could have bathed in this bacon. It was thick and chewy, such a nice compliment. I don't know if there are bar stools available and whether they set up center aisle seating when it's more crowded, but the restaurant appeared clean and well-kept. There were no rounds available when I went, so I don't know how they accommodate groups of 10+, I sat along the banquette that could accommodate two. I am very interested in returning to try the ox tails, which are available in two (or was it three) dishes on the menu. I look forward to revising my review then.
