Every time I visit this location the staff here is so nice and kind. I went recently on a Wednesday and though it was packed and I waited it went by pretty fast and they accommodated us. The typical Florida fashion the food was phenomenal I did the $14.99 deal where you would get the entrée , a side and garlic rolls which was amazing per usual. On this day that I didn't opt for any alcoholic beverages, I had just a pink lemonade which was really good. I like to think of Flanigan's as the "value"restaurant for steaks with a huge bar. You can get prime rib or a "ribeye" for $21 bucks with a side. To pull this off the restaurant probably assumes you will have a few good drinks. While they have the beef, this is not fine dining. It's always hit or miss with server staff. Mine forgot me but I eventually was able to get my order in. If I was paying $80 for a steak then maybe I would have a NYC sized melt down, but for $20 just chill and enjoy your beer until you will get served. read more

Went there Sunday night for a quick dinner and the service was terrible. Our waitress brought drinks after a long time no straws. Then i had to wait for her to come which she did after a long time to get a straw and place my order the soda was a little bit flat and plus the ice had melted since she took a long time to come back. They were out of prime rib. She then disappeared again I had to ask for a refill to another waitress. She brought the bill she disappear again and we got tired of waiting and we had to bother another waitress to check us out. This place was still decorated for St. Patrick's Day, and I can imagine that they were absolutely slammed. The waitress said that they ran out of corned beef and cabbage the afternoon of the celebration. It was very crowded, and the service was a little slow, but I'm telling you, our waitress was absolutely amazing! I wish I could remember her name, but she was phenomenal. Had a great experience at the Oakland Park Flanigan's during kickoff weekend! We went to watch an out-of-network football game and asked for a high-top in the bar section, but the host sat us in the main dining area instead. I was a little worried we'd be inconveniencing our server, Brian, but he was awesome , got the game on for us right away and then politely stayed out of our way. My boyfriend and I shared a full rack of ribs with fries, coleslaw, and a couple of sodas. He never made us feel bad or guilty for hanging out and watching the game. There was a shift change Olivia took over, she was just as great! We ended up ordering another half rack with fries and coleslaw, and everything came out perfect again. Super consistent food and service. In our three hours there, we saw tons of hard-working servers and really friendly, efficient bus boys. Great customer service and solid Flanigan's food. Love my local Flanigan's, especially their Happy Hours! Yes, correct, they have 2 separate HH. One until 7, and one after 9PM. Our favorite spot is sitting at the bar to enjoy HH, but service is good no matter where you choose to sit. Happy Hour does not cover the entire restaurant, but they usually have specials. My favorite food pics? The Rib Rolls are a must! However, their amazing Cesar Salads are a great choice. I recommend the blackened Mahi on top. My son loves the grouper fingers, and my other son enjoys the salmon. The wings are also a very good option. I recommend checking out their book of daily specials. Parking in their lot can be tricky at times, and they can run a wait, so be patient. Happy Hour crowds can also be rather interesting at times, so just sit back and enjoy. read more

Came with my Zumba class for lunch. 1st time here. I was pleasantly surprised it was so good. They don't take reservations but if you call before you come, they said they will block a few tables for us. I think there were 9 or 10 of us. The food came out pretty quick. I ordered the Caesar salad with chilled shrimp. Nice size shrimp & a lot of salad! They have some very good lunch deals & they all looked good. The restaurant is kinda dark but they have a beautiful fish tank which brightens up she space. I definitely will be back. read more

Came here for a quick lunch since I didn't have breakfast this morning. I was hoping this Flanigan's location in Oakland Park was not packed, but that was not the case. As soon as I entered I could already see the bar full of people. Luckily the hostess spotted an empty seat so I took it. Once seated, one of the bartenders greeted me and handed me a menu. I didn't have the intention to drink at first, but I got upset at a couple of stupid drivers on the way to the restaurant then I couldn't find parking anywhere around the restaurant so I had to park in the adjacent strip mall and walk over...yeah an alcoholic drink was needed now. I ordered a pina colada with a rum floater and their $6.99 soup (New England clam chowder) & salad (house) lunch. The ambiance was chill with dim lights, mellow music playing, different sports games airing on the flat screen tvs, drinks constantly being poured, and various foods being served. My drink was refreshing, salad was tasty, and the chowder was just ok. Overall it was a satisfying lunch that will hold me for a couple of hours. read more

It pains me to give Flanigan's anything but 5 stars but this location needs some work. Their parking is minimal and nowhere near large enough to accommodate the crowd that Flanigan's attracts. The inside of the restaurant is teeny tiny. Also, there's no where inside to wait for a table unless you're up for plastering yourself against the walls around the bar. Oh, and there was an a/c leak near the hostess stand. Really the only reason for any stars here was the friendly service and their consistency in serving delicious wings. We popped in around lunch and were able to order two wing lunch specials with sodas for under $25 before tip. You can't beat that anywhere else. read more

Let's talk about it. First time at this Flanigan's in Fort Lauderdale/Oakland park. Definitely one of the cleaner locations--shoutout to the staff--and the service was solid. But the vibe? Pretty much nonexistent. Could've been the lunch lull, but I caught myself almost falling asleep at the bar... multiple times. Goose Island on draft was the highlight. I went with the hot wings--came out warm, but they kind of tasted like old chicken. Not dry, just... off. Maybe I'm overthinking it, maybe not. Either way, I used to hype these wings like they were the best in the world, but I think it's time to retire that claim. Fries were salty--really salty--and I usually lean salt-forward. Luckily, the signature BBQ sauce came to the rescue and made them way more enjoyable. Bathrooms were cleaner than usual for Flanigan's (again, could be the lunch shift), but yeah--still not over the $2 upcharge for carrots, celery, and blue cheese. That used to be part of the deal! Normally the food, value and servers are great! This is a delicious family run restaurant that is a Florida classic. In the inside it feels like you're dining in a ship. There is a restaurant, private-ish room and then the bar is separate. On the downside...I ordered a gin martini, no vermouth with olives. the bartender put both lime juice and olives in my drink - then insisted it was "in the recipe" with serious attitude (and I mean infuriating attitude). I decided to try their $6.99 lunch special and see what the whole commotion was all about....Many people swear by Flanigan's so it was a chance for me to see if it was a good fit for me. I arrived around 12:30pm and I was told there was a 15 min wait (you can actually add your name to the waitlist by their website, Yelp or other means)..I gave them my phone number and they said they would text me when the table was ready. Within 15 min, I was seated and Kevin was my waiter. He was hurried but pleasant. I got a blackened tilapia sandwich and I asked for the curly fries to be well done. I needed to get a beverage, so I opted for an ale. The food came out fairly quickly and the fish was really big, it over-sized the bun. The flavor was just ok...not great, not very spicy, not very blackened. My fries were not well done, they were below average. The food was nothing special, but I guess I will give it another try in the future to see what the whole craziness about Flanigan's is all about. read more

Stopped here due to the signage "seafood". Unfortunately the seafood section of the menu was very small. Only salmon, tilapia, tuna, and swordfish were available. Most of which I could get in the midwest. The menu was huge though, including ribs, prime rib, a huge list of appetizers and alcohol. We told the waitress we didnt drink, but she recommended at least twice, specials with alcohol. The music was playing and there were st paddy's decorations everywhere. We ordered the salad salad and the lemon garlic salmon. The fish was dry and they forgot the coleslaw. Thank God my husband let me have my way. We threw the food in the fridge and ended up at a different restaurant. Would not return for seafood. Ps there was a table near us who did get one of the specials with alcohol and this big plate of nachos that looked good. We just werent in the mood for them or a bar-type restaurant. read more
