Inside the Marriott hotel, the Kester delivers a nice vibe any time of day. Their service is excellent and every menu option we went with was perfectly executed. This is a great place to have a staycation and enjoy and nice dinner with friends and family.

The lighting is dim and the sofas are beautiful. There is a red piano on the other side that just looks so regal. We sat at the bar and were quickly taken care of. They have a great variety of cocktails to choose from and some bites as well if you're feeling hungry. I went with the red eye espresso martini and it was amazing. It tasted like chocolate! The combo of Licor 43 and espresso is delish! Highly recommend. It was a Sunday night so there wasn't too many people, but the bartender did tell us they play live music on Fridays and Saturdays and that is when there is a bigger crowd. We will be going back soon!

I absolutely loved it! I enjoyed the atmosphere with Frank Sinatra on the walls and how beautiful and great the vibes were. The staff were very friendly and checked up on us a lot. But, that's where it stops. The staff was horrible. There was some short guy with a deep voice , acting like he ran the place. Extremely rude to customers And was too busy chasing the bartender around like a puppy dog in heat. He had 2-3 guys who worked there clinging to his side like he was the days comedy event. Except , it wasn't funny, it was sad. ZERO people skills displayed. Last. The "happy hour specials" are nothing more than microwaved treats you buy at Aldis. Nasty processed garbage. This place needs some help , all around. There was a female "boss" running around. But... didn't see much action out of anyone aside from Adam. Who is the ONLY reason we'd return.

Went with the chicken sandwich, fries, and coleslaw both times--it was pretty decent overall. For dinner I added the pineapple mocktail, which was actually delicious. The lunch server came across as super introverted and not as friendly, but not necessarily rude either. The dinner bartenders were way more personable and kept checking in--except for the one moment when a bartender asked for my order and as I started replying, and they instantly turned to help the couple who just sat down at the bar. I didn't even pause that long (5 seconds max), but it is what it is. Maybe they needed to prioritize the couple as it was the feast day of St. Valentine. Overall, food and drinks were mostly good, but dinner felt awkward right from walking in. I got there a little after 5 PM and they said tables were all reserved/booked, so bar seating was only available--no wiggle room for a solo diner to be at a table on such an occasion apparently. By the time I finished, maybe only 1/3 of the inside and patio was full. As I was sitting at the bar, the oceanfront door was open and the wind was whipping in like crazy--it felt like sitting in a wind tunnel and it was cold, not enjoyable at all. I also had this weird inkling that the bar couple and bartenders were talking about me negatively and laughing. I have no proof, but that was the vibe I got. I wanted to leave as soon as possible.

We came in for a quick bit me and a beer and wound up staying for three hours. Our server, Danni, was truly awesome! She kept the beer cold and flowing! The food was delicious. We ordered the shrimp po-boy, fish sandwich, and the Mediterranean chicken wrap. All three were flavorful and beyond reasonably priced. I also love that they generously salt their fries. Highly recommend coming to Lucky Fish! They also have ample parking in the garage.

Our server, Jula, had a visible attitude from the moment she approached the table. The most frustrating part was the lack of basic communication. We asked to adjust an umbrella for the sun; our server spoke with the manager, who looked directly at us, said something, and then simply walked away. The woman followed suit without ever giving us an answer. We understand it was busy due to the Jazz Fest, but being flat-out ignored is not a valid excuse. There are too many dining options in Pompano to waste time and money on a place that treats customers like an inconvenience. We avoided this business for the rest of our trip and won't be returning.

GO SOUTH! Actually we went north to Pompano Beach for lunch on a Thursday. We had heard that the…read moreweekends are packed especially Sunday brunch. When we arrived it was pleasantly chill. The lovely hostess guided us to a booth by a window. We were greeted by our equally lovely server Jazmin (sp?). Btw, she rocks! Upon perusing the lunch menu we jumped at the deviled eggs appetizer. These beauties were two beet stained eggs cut in half topped with a spicy yolk filling and garnished with scallions, chicken skin crunch and trout roe. OH MY! My dear friend and dining companion was leaning towards a salad but we put on our thinking caps and decided that the fried chicken entree, which was accompanied by two sides and a biscuit was the best bang for our taste buds. And indeed it was. She ordered two pieces with greens and mac + cheese while I chose three pieces (thinking ahead to lunch tomorrow) plus the mac chz plus sweet potato soufflé (that was Thanksgiving babe!). The chicken was fresh out of the fryer and we had nothing but praise for the sides. To top it off...Nanner Puddin'! Just like mom made but no Jello pudding here. Amazing. Since it was a weekday, we got to meet the chef and give kudos. (He's a happy dude) I wouldn't care to come here on the weekend when it's packed but I can see why folks do. The place is enormous with a huge outside venue and a sprawling banyan tree. Plus the Sunday brunch menu is tempting. But for a chill lunch with nice employees and scrumptious food on a Thursday, we were star struck and satisfied.

They have both indoor and outdoor seating, plus a cute outdoor bar area with stools where you can eat and hang out, which gave the place a really nice vibe. The music was a great mix of R&B and oldies too. Now let's talk service... for me, service is everything, and unfortunately that's what made this experience disappointing. Our waitress, Haley, was pretty inattentive throughout the meal. We asked for extra Caesar dressing and never got it, and it was honestly hard to get a hold of her most of the time. Because of that alone, I'd probably think twice before coming back. As for the food -- it was hit or miss. We started with the wings as an appetizer. They were flavorful, but nothing memorable. I'd probably skip them next time and try something else. I ordered the crispy Cobb salad because it sounded amazing on the menu, but it was a letdown. It was mostly lettuce with barely any chicken, and I had to mix the whole salad myself. At a restaurant, I kind of expect a Cobb salad to come already tossed together. Also... no blue cheese available? Come on now lol. My boyfriend got the fried chicken with sweet potato fries and mac & cheese. I will say, everything came out HOT, so you can tell the food is made fresh. The mac & cheese didn't look impressive at first, but it tasted SO good. The sweet potato fries were delicious too. My sister ordered the lobster pasta, and honestly the portion size shocked me in the best way. They were generous with the lobster, which almost never happens, and she loved it. My daughter got the crispy chicken sandwich and said it was the best sandwich she's ever had, so that was definitely a win. Overall, the food itself wasn't bad at all -- my salad was just a flop. If the service had been better, this review probably would've been very different. Not sure if I'd come back, but maybe on a different day with a different server.
