    WALD MEISTER SOUR ALE 5.2%

A Pompano Beach brewery with sleek modern decor, offering beer, eats and fun throwback board games including Monopoly, Yahtzee and Taboo. The brewery's open layout makes it feel like a welcoming, casual place to hang out. The unique presentation of shots in mini laboratory beakers adds a quirky touch. The Waldmeister Sour 5.8% was Berliner Weisse flavored with sweet woodruff (my favorite). The El Corte Dorado was an interesting brew with its oak tequila aging and strong 8.7% ABV - definitely not for the faint of heart! The friendly and knowledgeable staff, like the owner Adam and bartender "Q," seem to make the experience even better. The huge beer vats being right at the door gives that authentic brewery vibe, and it's great that they offer Beer To Go, allowing patrons to take a piece of the experience home with them. The food menu is mainly Gluten Free and Vegetarian, offering a decent variety of eats including Artisanal Pizzas, Salads and Global Street Food - beer cheese griddled sandwich for $8.00. The $5 happy hour is weekdays 4p - 6p. A spot with a lot of character and personality and I will be back.

I stopped by tonight for Dangerous Minds 5th Anniversary Party featuring music from the North End Rockers. I had the Chicken Tikka Masala pizza with the new Von Bingen American IPA * 6.8% Juniper and sage, traditionally used to cleanse the body and spirit. They can't claim that it is true, but blended together they make for a tasty spiced IPA. For dessert, I had to have the Mint Chocolate Bread Pudding, mint chocolate bread pudding served with vanilla bean gelato, mmmmmmmmm soooooo deciduous!

Came here on a whim, after visiting the Pompano Beach pier. It was only nine minutes away. And it may not seem like much given that it is in a small strip mall, but I've had the best beers here. I have tried Cocobana, Suave (twice, that's how good it is) and the Phenakistoscope, while my fiance had the Willi's Wheat, Stein of Ein, and ended with Suave (yup, that amazing). We had already eaten, so we didn't get to try the food. But the pictures and reviews of all the food looked really good! We would love to come back to get more of that Suave beer and try the food! My favorite part of this brewery is that they offer "tasters" which are 4oz shooters but they uniquely come in cute lab beakers! I sometimes get too full easily on a pint, so I like that I was able to try different beers in a smaller scale. Overall, I didn't have a beer I didn't like and I want to try the rest of the beer menu and food!!

I had such a great time here. I found this place as I was looking for a different brewery. This one just so happened to be closer. The beertender was friendly and great with recommendations. The food was very delicious. I ordered Scotch Eggs and a Grilled Cheese with Beer Cheese. While it was a bit difficult to find this place at first I'm very happy that I checked it out. Can't wait to go back.

Stumbled upon this gem today! Truly deserves more than 5 stars for everything. Like the other yelpers mentioned this place has it all. You feel like a regular even if it's your first time. Conversation at the bar about travels, food and South FL overpopulation was incredible. The saison and the lamb wrap were the perfect pairing too. I wish I lived closer to try more of their menu. Looking forward to the next time!

Great selection of beers and food. Wonderful service . So many choices on the menu including vegetarian and vegan options. Outdoor and indoor seating. Definitely recommend.

TINY ASS PIZZA looks bigger in the pic than it was. FR so small for $16. Green onions? & corn??? uh close down or get a new chef

Absolutely not. I was so pissed leaving here. IDK how this is rated almost 5 stars the reviews must be fake or from ppl who like no flavor in their food, and like to be ripped off. I came because it said they had happy hour..... oh wow $1 off beer or wine. What a joke. Didn't know that until I already was seated. I ordered their only white wine option and it was the cheapest wine tasted like trash. They only have 4 food options for happy hour and none were a good option. Nothing on the menu was really appealing... Their "artisanal" pizzas were all very weird flavor combos, none looked good. The ONLY option you can order is a 10" personal pizza for $15. WHAT A RIP OFF. When my pizza came out it was the smallest pizza i've ever seen. I'm not even kidding it was so small I ate all of it and I never can eat more than 3 slices of pizza. It was NOT a 10" pizza. I ordered the "dangerous pizza of the day" which was supposed to come with spreadable sausage (gross), cheese, server said red onions, and hot honey. I subbed pepperoni instead with all the other stuff on it. It was $16. The crust was BURNT, I like some char, but it was overcooked. Took the first bite and how tf did it taste like nothing. I seriously had to pour half of the oregano & red pepper flake bottles over the pizza for it to taste like anything. You could barely even taste the honey.... and it was not hot. I was so mad that I wasted money on this place it was $30 for only myself, and I still left hungry. DONT GO HERE. There is way better food for that price. It was also so dark inside, no lights on it was weird the ambiance was ... nothing boring and cheap. Just overall horrible experience

Ok so much fun! Great food and beer selection. Inside and outdoor seating with a live band. Service was cool and just an all around great time. I had a vegan pizza for the first time and it was amazing!!!

Dangerous minds was a super cool spot we found on our way home. They were having a Liverpool watch party and seemed like a Liverpool bar in general. Cool for those into that. Their beers were decent but the flight glasses were top notch. Servers were nice and we'll definitely be back.

We went for trivia. I had the hazy IPA-Stradamus. It was a good. I ordered the Lamb Wrap. It had pickled onions and tzatziki sauce to dip. It was flavorful. I would definitely order it again. The staff were attentive and friendly. If you go on trivia night, go early because a lot of tables were reserved.

Do you have vegan cheese or options? Thanks!

    Yes, we have Violife cheese

    So you allow dogs?

We love it when customers bring their furry friends, however since we are also a restaurant we can't allow them inside, unfortunately. That being said we have plenty of covered outside seating and always a water bowl on hand for your pet.

For dinner, he got the honey chicken Sammy with sidewinder fries, and I went with the chimmichurri steak frites with curly fries... SO good. Everything came out piping hot, quickly, and you can tell the food and drinks are really thoughtfully crafted. What stood out most, though, was the customer service. The three main staff members Drew, Mel, and Darian (I think?) were incredible. Every single one of them went above and beyond for every guest the entire time. When we arrived, there were just a couple tables outside, but once it started raining, they seamlessly accommodated everyone inside without missing a beat. The vibe is such a cool mix, neighborhood spot meets speakeasy meets tiki with a slightly elevated feel, but still super comfortable. Everyone in the place seemed to know each other or quickly became friends. The music was great, and by 7:30 the live entertainment started, he was funny, engaging, and talented. We got there just in time to catch the tail end of happy hour for our first drink, and from there it just kept getting better. Drew, the bartender, even went out of his way to make me a specialty drink I had seen on Yelp that's no longer on the menu, such a thoughtful touch. By 7:30 on a Wednesday, the place was packed, which says everything. Exceptional service, amazing food, great drinks, and an all around fun, welcoming atmosphere. We'll absolutely be back.

The bar and restaurant itself has a welcoming vibe that makes you want to stay awhile. I ordered the tuna appetizer, but unfortunately it just wasn't for me. To their credit, the staff handled it very professionally and took it back without any issue, which I appreciated. The rest of the table had a much better experience with their meals. The steak and salads especially got good reviews from everyone and looked very well prepared. Even though my dish missed the mark, the service and atmosphere were solid enough that I'd still consider giving eTwic another try in the future. Sometimes one item just doesn't hit, and there were definitely enough positives about the restaurant to make me curious to come back and try something different next time. I know that one friend at the table really enjoys this place so I must believe that she has good taste!

Their decor is clean and beautiful, showing Caribbean art above. Their large booth style tables are perfect for any big group. We got to meet the owner and the chef. Such warm, welcoming people. The food is what kept me complimenting them however. The griot is the best I've ever had. It wasn't a hard fried texture I've had at other Haitian restaurants. It was made with more love in my opinion, and tender. Their plantains were a nice texture and hands down the best pikli I've ever tasted. The pikli was the perfect spice level. They were kind to my son who's a picky eater and made him a special fried chicken and fries. I've so so appreciative of their effort. My yelpies, please, let's make them grow!! I want to see you all supporting a family owed restaurant that truly deserves it!! I'm not hyping when I say the food is delish!

We had a fantastic lunch here…read more We came in at noon, just as the restaurant was opening. We sat at the bar and met Princess, the bartender/server. We got very personal service. This is NOT a fast food place nor is it a Caribbean restaurant as some have said -- although there are a few items on the menu that are islandy. So plan on spending some time -- even at lunch -- as all the food is cooked to order by Chef Glen. We also met Glen. What a wonderfully exciting life he has lived. And we got to talk to him about his preparation of various items and things he likes (and may be adding to the menu in the future) as they get known. From the current lunch menu, we selected two items. I chose their griot appetizer-- which is marinated and fried pork chunks. It came with plantains. The appetizer portion was more than large enough to have as my lunch -- in fact, I took half home for later. The plantains were some of the best I've ever had. Done like tostones -- smashed and fried -- they were flavorful. And the pork meat was tender and tasty inside with a crispy exterior. My husband had their shepherd's pie. Oh my goodness. This was excellent. It was full of ground black angus beef in a savory sauce topped with creamy mashed potatoes. The preparation is intricate and time consuming. You could taste the various herbs used. It was a generous portion served piping hot. As we'd talked to Glen also about their fish and chips dish, he was nice enough to prepare a small piece of cod fish so my husband could try it. The batter was light and crispy. It too was very very good. This place is a sleeper right now. If you have some time to linger, check them out for lunch while they are currently not that busy. Chef Glen is quite talented. Let him know we sent regards. You may even see us sitting at the bar....
