    Balan's winter wonderland vibe
    Valerie H.

They've got a Winter Wonderland theme going right now and it's like a little corner of Arendelle. Monday brunch is super-relaxed, which is great overall but you can't be in a rush. Menu is a nice mix of classic, healthy, fresh, and modern. Worth adding this to your rotation.

Alejandro was amazing, 10/10 service. The happy hour is great as well, lots of food and drink options. They also have a doggy menu which is adorable! It's a very cute vibe too, would definitely recommend for happy hour. I will say the tuna crispy rice needs more seasoning, but the bang bang bao buns were delicious

The service and the ambiance are excellent! It's super cute inside and they also have plenty of outdoor seating. Our server, Christine, was very on top of it and had a warm vibe to her. They had a good happy hour that started midway through our time there but I otherwise found the prices to be a little out of hand for what you get. While my watermelon spritz was delicious, that + a non-alcoholic cocktail set us back close to $40 with mandatory service charge. Portion was very small on my friend's side of fries, and when I requested light ice on my spritz, it came filled part way despite not really having light ice. I'll come back and try happy hour because the prices seemed much more worth it and the ambiance and service were good. Maybe that will change my rating. Wouldn't return outside of happy hour though.

Burrata and Squash salad (with a delicious pesto sauce too)

I had a great meal at this place during their all day brunch until 4p. The server, Joselyn, was really cool too. She recommended this bomb salad that I had there (Burrata and squash salad). I'd highly recommend going. We sat outside during a nice day too.

We were in the Brickell area visiting my wife's son and want to Balan's a couple of times, once for drinks and again for brunch. We were seated inside both times. When we went for drinks, they were doing hookahs outside and we did not want to deal with the smoke. Service was excellent--we were seated quickly and the bartender was great and very friendly. I had an old fashioned that was perfect, then my wife had this maritini with a shot of brut that she really loved and was very original. They have a great brunch menu--there were 10 items I could have had. Again service was excellent. I started with a chai latte where they did a nice leaf design. My wife loved her Americano. I had the eggs benedict with bacon. First, I love the fact that Balan's offered bacon as an option for eggs benedict--Canadian bacon or crab cake can be good, but nothing like regular bacon (which was very good bacon). The poached eggs and Hollandaise Sauce were great, then the potatoes had some nice spice to them. My wife had Avocado toast with poached eggs on top--she really loved her dish as well. Absolutely worth a visit.

Good spot and nice vibes for happy hour! Such a cute place. Good prices for drinks. We had a sangria and proseco

    Delicious Miami Spice brunch!
    Anna F.

Balan's is a fantastic spot for brunch. I came in for Miami Spice, and every course was perfect. I started with the granola pot. It was a delicious crunchy sweet starter. For my entree I chose the steak and eggs. The steak was tender and the side of fries were a salty, crispy delight. I concluded my meal with the homemade peanut butter ice cream. It was so good! The service was fantastic. Our mimosa glasses were always filled and everyone was kind and welcoming.

As usual, great place to get a drink and have fun with friends. A spot in front of the street, being outdoors and covered by a nice tent is a great moment. Good service. Street parking.

Went to Balans for dinner with a friend and shared a few dishes: the Beef Carpaccio, Truffle Carbonara, and fried chicken topped with tomato and arugula. We finished with a glass of champagne and dessert, and everything was incredibly good. Flavorful, well-portioned, and left us both fully satisfied. The ambiance felt like a clubstaurant: lively, vibey, and full of energy, with people celebrating. Still, it was a great spot to catch up and enjoy the evening. Service was attentive and on point. Overall, a fun night out, would definitely come back.

Balan's is a great spot for a low-key happy hour. The indoor decor is stylish but comfy, with a cool, laid-back vibe. Happy hour is a steal--$5 beers, cocktails from $8-$12, plus a few solid apps to snack on. It's a really good deal for the quality you get. The staff is friendly (esp the bartender, Ricardo). Definitely a place I'd come back to for another relaxed hangout

    Aperol spritz

Came here for happy hour and definitely recommend. The bruschetta was so delicious and unique - I could've eaten 10 more plates of just that! The drinks are delicious as well and the happy hour deals are worth it. It's on the main road in Brickell, so a lot of fun to sit outside and listen to the music and people watch. There's couches and comfortable seating so a great place to spend some time hanging out with family or friends.

This restaurant is in Brickell, Miami. It is in a very busy and sophisticated area. They have a highly trained staff that provides personalized attention and makes you feel at home. Their food is mouthwatering and upscale, and very nice drinks. You go for upscale food, you get upscale prices. The ambiance was relaxed with such a nice breeze all around us (we were seating outside). They also have hookah service.

Good brunch spot when you're post hangover or want to hang out with friends. Food is mid but ambiance is great, the service is good and vibes are nice. We sat outdoors but the indoor place is also very cute.

I think they fit Miami well, and are slight twists in classic drink options. Our bartender was awesome. She was super knowledgeable and helpful in making recommendations as we decided what to order, and you can tell she really put effort into making sure the drinks were good. The drinks were really good! My only complaint is the price. Of course handcrafted cocktails are expensive, especially in Miami, but wow. The drinks were really small, and had so much ice that they ended up being not very many sips at all. They were definitely good, but the very small size for almost $20 a drink was kind of outrageous.

The bar was lit, poppin' and vibrant. We were waiting by the end of the counter where they checked out other patrons near the sitting area. We were overlooked many times... I locked eyes with one of the bartender and she completely looked away from me.. several times :( took about 15 minutes and we reached our arms out and flagged bartender Reilly. Her greeting and attention was genuine so I was happy to get her. Unfortunately, she got busy and we got the initial lady that ignored us. She was not kind, not attentive and didn't really want to help us - she was very fake. With that being said, we had to remind her of our drinks after 20 minutes of placing the order, in which she responded with an attitude "it's being made. We're busy" -_- -_- :( the attitude was not needed. We watched others that came in before us being served. :( I was completely annoyed and upset. She didn't even bring the drinks to us like the other bartenders were doing, she made us get it. Poor service from this one bartender while the others were happy and servicing their patrons. After our first drinks, I noticed she spoke to her colleague and he came over and asked if we wanted to close out.. . Wtf kicking us out? We said no and he opened a tab. When she noticed we were ordering more, she was a bit more attentive. So wrong. Luckily, the drinks were delicious. Perfect. We did end up coming back to the Lasseter and got a gentleman bartender that was so kind and attentive and made our drinks even better! The attention to detail and love he made in my drinks, so that is why I decided to make make this a 3 stars rather than two. He saved this place. The toilet sitting area is very warm, not very air conditioned properly so expect to be a little warm especially after a couple of sips. It's also the walkway to an actual big restrooms for the whole building. The drinks are VERY pricy but the setting is perfect and makes up for it. Unfortunately, the service was not up to par. Disney priced drinks without the Disney customer service. Do I want to come back? Yes. Am I going to be picky with the vibes coming from the bartender and chose who to go to? Also yes. Hopefully, I can increase the rating.

It's made with Maple Bacon Infused Maker's Mark, vanilla cinnamon syrup, bitters and cedar smoke. So good! Anywayssss, when I caught the winds that there was a new sound bar in downtown, I NEEDED to be there. The concept of the sound bar is some type of Asian thing, I don't really know. But where in Asia there might be a few monks sitting around in silence listening to gongs or whatever, Miami goes BIG! Finding parking in downtown Miami on a Saturday is virtually impossible unless you bribe a valet servant with cash. So that's what I did. My ladyfriend and I arrived early to the sound bar, and there was already a hearty swarm of brodents and thots lined up to get in. Some crack head outside was shouting about IPA's. I told the door servant that I knew the DJ or something like that, and he let us right in. Once inside, the bar has that edgy big city, small hallway type of vibe. You could barely stand around in there, let alone get to the bar to order a drink. The mix of flapping gums and mixologists concocting cocktails made for a cacophonous distraction from the actual "music" we were there to "listen" to. My ladyfriend and I ducked out across the street to Black Market Miami Bar where the game was on and you could actually order a drink that didn't cost $50+. After a few libations, we headed back to Miami Sound Machine Bar (they need to put 'Miami' in every bar's name down here in case you forget where you are). There was a weird looking guy playing depressing vinyls with singing in different languages. I was more in the mood for something upbeat and groovy like salsa or merengue that I could dance to with my girls. Although I did hear the 12" Andrew Weatherall remix of Happy Mondays "Hallelujah" at some point, a staple at the Haçienda nightclub in Manchester - an institution that shook the music world and changed club culture forever. The head servant at the bar looked like Nirvana (yes, one man looking like a whole band). He was jaded and rude. I don't blame him! As the night wore on, the crowd got larger and more deplorable, and the room got smaller and smaller. I got stuck in an awkward conversation waiting to use the bathroom. I don't think sound bars are for me. Pros: The bar across the street had really fair drink prices, and the servants are polite and efficient. Cons: the ratchet yuppies that inhabit Miami's nightlife, always on the prowl to ruin a subculture with their tackiness.
