The location is right in the heart of Brickell and there's seating available outside and inside. For a busy part of town, the team does a really great job of delivering A+ service. The Miami Spice is also a great way to try out several dishes for pretty good value, such as the beef carpaccio, branzino, and steak. Don't sleep on the gnocchi pasta dish too, this one is definitely one of my favorites when I missed out on having lunch earlier in the day. Pro tip: You can add Argentinian sausage to your dish too (not on the menu but let them know and they will put it together for you). I ordered the Milanesa (Tenderloin), which is essentially the South American answer to country fried steak. Instead of the heavy gravy you might find in the American South, I had it served "A Caballo" topped with medium-fried eggs. The tenderloin was exceptionally flavorful and the batter was seasoned perfectly. It remained tender under the crisp exterior, and the eggs added a rich, velvety finish. I opted for the charred asparagus, and it was honestly a highlight of the meal. They were massive stalks with a beautiful char that provided a perfect al dente crunch. It's rare to find asparagus that avoids that "dreaded mushy" texture, but Novecento nailed it. Between the view, the breeze, and a great glass of red, this was a standout Miami evening. We came for lunch for a coworker's birthday and I was nervous that I wouldn't like it but the food was great and we all had a good time! They have a $27 lunch special which comes with an appetizer, an entree and a coffee or a dessert. There were 7 of us and 3 of us got the lunch special. Two of them had the NY strip and liked it. They ordered it medium well but said that they should have ordered it medium instead because it wasn't pink at all. The dessert was also yummy. The birthday girl had the Caesar salad and added chicken to it. She also had a creme brulee for dessert. I preferred the dessert that came with the lunch special because the creme brulee was brown in color not the usual yellow egg color. It may have been coffee flavored. I had a burger and it was great! So were the fries. They also came with ketchup, which I was happy about. 18% tip is automatically included. We had asked for separate checks but ended up getting only one bill so we had to divide it up back at the office, which was a pain. Service was okay. Not bad but not impressive either. This place was great. From the start the service was great, we were seated quickly and checked in on multiple times. Our waiter was super attentive and kind. The place is very big and has a very pretty bar. I came here for Miami spice, i had the beef carpaccio which was delicious and the passion fruit ceviche was flavorful and refreshing. For main dishes I had the steak frites and the wagyu Denver which were both cooked perfectly, both came with a side of chimichurri and accompanied with delicious potatoes. I had a side salad and truffle fries which were also great. For dessert the flan was phenomenal and the chocolate cake was so delicious. Novecento is located in mary Brickell village with a wide selection happy hour! If you like Argentinian food this is your spot!! With $12-16 bites and $12-$18 happy hour cocktails it sure was worth it. We had the salmon crudo, tequeños, spinach empanadas, shrimp ajillo and choripan all of which were smothered with flavor and very filling. The espresso martinis were made with fresh espresso as you can see all the foam and was made to perfection! Bartender did lack attentiveness unfortunately we had to wave him down a couple times to fill our waters and to keep ordering. I stopped by Novecento for the Birthday happy hour of a fellow Pisces friend from high school days also hitting "a milestone". I'm leaving this review at a 4 because I didn't try their food menu but between the drinks & apps I enjoyed, it certainly makes me want to come back. Plus their second floor balcony has a great view of the Brickell area shenanigans! My friend reserved a couple of tables in the bar area, and we had I believe two servers for our group. Some of the bar bites I tasted included a ham & cheese empanada, chicken "charcuterie" with a deliciously sharp chimichurri sauce plus bruschetta with a creamy burrata & mini tomato slices. The "one or two" Brugal mojitos I sipped on were well blended and smooth tasting. The staff also let my friend bring her own birthday cake and photographer. Novecento is a small, local chain of Argentinian restaurants with I believe 5 eateries in the Miami area. This location in Mary Brickell Village is quite large and offers bar seating and tables both inside the restaurant and on the patio/balcony in front, which overlooks busy Miami Avenue and is great for people watching. The main bar and dining area is outfitted with several flat screen TVs for watching sports and other programming - from our seats we could clearly see 6 of them. We chose to sit at the bar, our small dog was welcome here and the service from the bartender/server was fast, attentive and friendly all evening. (*EDIT - On our most recent visit to this restaurant, the manager explained dogs are no longer welcome at the bar, only at the tables out on the patio*). We ordered the provoleta to start, then my husband ordered the lomito sandwich and I the pollo parrilla with potato salad for entrees. Both our meals were very good, and the bottle of Argentinian wine we ordered paired well with our food. To finish, we shared the creme brulee de dulce de leche, which was excellent. Note that Novecento includes an 18% "service charge" on every check, and a "suggested tip" of 3, 5 or 7% is outlined at the bottom of the bill. My only critical comments, both of which are minor, are that 1) I've always found Novecento's menu to be somewhat limited, going back to when we used to visit their original location on Key Biscayne - especially if you're trying to avoid red meat and/or eat healthy. 2) In my opinion, it's a bit of a pity that they close this place immediately after the dinner service. When this venue once housed Taverna Opa they would keep it open very late at night, offered a limited food menu and had a DJ spinning and it was always busy and popular until the wee hours. Novecento should consider doing the same IMO, at least on weekends. read more

I had very high hopes for Novecento. The space is beautiful and open. Although looks very similar to other upscale restaurants. It's situated right in the heart of Mary Brickell Village surrounded by tons of other restaurants and City Centre Mall. I was ready for an unforgettable night. It was ok. The food was fine but I found for what they were serving the prices were not justifiable. I ordered the Funghi ravioli pasta. There were six raviolis on the plate. Needless to say not a very satisfactory dinner for $30 when you add tax and tip. My friends also ordered some apps which were also fine. Novecento isn't the place you want to go to if you want amazing food. It's good food. It's more for the ambiance, decor and sitting with your friends for a couple hours over a bottle of wine. I found it a little rude when the server came and just dropped off the check without asking us first. It was getting late but I think the restaurant was still open for another 30 minutes. I stopped in here after visiting the speakeasy next-door. It was a weeknight and a bit late, so there was no waiting and we were able to get a table quickly. They had this great deal of half off on any wine bottle. So my girlfriends and I split a bottle of wine. We were hungry after our first stop so we each had a steak different cut. Drove all the way from Ft Lauderdale to Brickell to meet a group of people at this restaurant. Initially I was reserved since I read it was an Argentinian steak house. Wonder why? I'm vegetarian. We enjoyed a couple of cocktails that were well-priced (they have a 2 for 1 deal!) and definitely helped set the mood for the evening. The ambiance was relaxed, which is always a win for happy hour. As for the food, we decided to try the mussels in pomodoro sauce. The dish itself had great flavor, but we were a little disappointed to find that half of the mussels were closed. I'm not sure if it was just a one-off issue, but it definitely impacted the overall experience. Our server wasn't the highlight of the evening either. While the place was empty, the service felt a little off. He barely spoke to us and didn't seem particularly enthusiastic or interested in making our experience better. For a spot with good potential, the service definitely left a lot to be desired. Overall, Novocento's happy hour drink specials are definitely worth checking out, but I'd suggest maybe lowering expectations for food and service. Another disappointment was the "Milanga Tenderloin Napolitana" between the cheese and the meat it had some spicy sauce, tasting more like Tabasco than tomato sauce. I had a really great experience at Novecento during my stay in Miami-Brickell area. The vibe of the restaurant was really nice and the bottomless drinks were great too. We got the octopus as an appetizer and it was spot on 8/10! With that said, those pancakes are the stuff dreams are made of. Bacon infused maple syrup with candied bacon on top, OMG. I love getting pancakes when I got to breakfast places and it's really hard for me to think of better pancakes I've had in my life. 11/10 for me! I would come back just for those. I had the pleasure of attending their grand opening this past Saturday and I must say, it is a major upgrade from their last brickell location. The food and service was excellent! So here's how my Saturday night at Novecento's grand opening went. I arrived at 845pm for my reservation but they informed me it may take 30 minutes to be seated as they over booked. Luckily, I found two seats at the bar so I decided to eat there instead. Eric was our bartend and he was truly amazing! Despite how busy the restaurant and bar was, he gave us excellent service and consistently checked on us. This is unheard of in my opinion, I usually have to chase bartenders down for attention. Thank you, Eric! Now let's talk about food. For starters, I highly recommend the beef carpaccio. It was delish and flavorful! Of course, get the steak empanadas - hands down, Argentinian empanadas are the best. For the main course, I absolutely loved the gnocchi with skirt steak, ufff! I will definitely be back for this and last but not least, dessert. Honestly, at this point I was in a food coma but I never turn down good dessert.
