Tuna Aguachile

Novecento in Brickell delivered a satisfying lunch. I started with the Tuna Aguachile, which was beautifully presented and exceptionally refreshing. The cucumber-based sauce was light, fresh, and vibrant complementing the flavorful tuna. I chose the Lomito Sandwich for lunch, The thinly sliced fillet was probably the best topping, well-seasoned and trimmed, It was layered with lettuce, tomato, mayonnaise, mozzarella, ham, and bacon on a baguette, The French fries were also excellent. I would recommend

I stopped by Novecento for the Birthday happy hour of a fellow Pisces friend from high school days also hitting "a milestone". I'm leaving this review at a 4 because I didn't try their food menu but between the drinks & apps I enjoyed, it certainly makes me want to come back. Plus their second floor balcony has a great view of the Brickell area shenanigans! My friend reserved a couple of tables in the bar area, and we had I believe two servers for our group. Some of the bar bites I tasted included a ham & cheese empanada, chicken "charcuterie" with a deliciously sharp chimichurri sauce plus bruschetta with a creamy burrata & mini tomato slices. The "one or two" Brugal mojitos I sipped on were well blended and smooth tasting. The staff also let my friend bring her own birthday cake and photographer. I'd definitely like to come back and try some of their dishes.

I had very high hopes for Novecento. The space is beautiful and open. Although looks very similar to other upscale restaurants. It's situated right in the heart of Mary Brickell Village surrounded by tons of other restaurants and City Centre Mall. I was ready for an unforgettable night. It was ok. The food was fine but I found for what they were serving the prices were not justifiable. I ordered the Funghi ravioli pasta. There were six raviolis on the plate. Needless to say not a very satisfactory dinner for $30 when you add tax and tip. My friends also ordered some apps which were also fine. Novecento isn't the place you want to go to if you want amazing food. It's good food. It's more for the ambiance, decor and sitting with your friends for a couple hours over a bottle of wine. I found it a little rude when the server came and just dropped off the check without asking us first. It was getting late but I think the restaurant was still open for another 30 minutes. There's nothing wrong with Novecento, I'm glad I tried it, I'm glad I tried it but they definitely have room for improvement.

I stopped in here after visiting the speakeasy next-door. It was a weeknight and a bit late, so there was no waiting and we were able to get a table quickly. They had this great deal of half off on any wine bottle. So my girlfriends and I split a bottle of wine. We were hungry after our first stop so we each had a steak different cut. We ordered a few sides to share as well. Everything was delicious. My steak was cooked well as I ordered it and the sides were very yummy. We were all very satisfied with our meal. The serving sizes were also very large so we all took home some food. I was surprised at how decently priced everything was and it was well worth it.

Warm and elevated ambiance with spacious bar and indoor seating as well as some outdoor seats! Came for some appetizers and a bottle of wine. Highlights: calamari and salmon tartare. Extensive drinks menu! Highly recommend for a date night in Brickell with a view of the busy streets.

Food was good. Good variety on the menu for starters and mains, with vegetarian options as well. Restaurant has both indoor and outdoor seating with a nice atmosphere. Service was a bit slow but standard for Miami.

Came here after an event for a late night dinner. They were almost ready to close but we made it just in time. I haven't been to this location (I used to go to the original years ago) but Novecento is always known for its meat. There was a lot of seating inside but they gave us a high top by the door. We each got our own cut of steak, I had the Picanha. It was cooked well with great flavors. We shared sides of Asparagus, Spinach, and Truffle fries. All were really tasty, but nothing too over the top. It's a good meal for a decent price in Brickell.

We went during the Miami Spice season, and both got the 3 course brunch and the food was fantastic. I was bummed to find they were out of a few items but everything we had was great. I will note - the three course brunch is A LOT of food but it was all good, honestly felt bad wasting it by not finishing, it was that good!

We really enjoyed this place! We came for lunch on our anniversary, and it was great! We started out with the lychee gin and tonic- and let me tell you- it was truly INCREDIBLE. It was soooo yummy and light and refreshing, I will be trying to replicate it at home! Amazing! I loved it so much that my husband tried it and ended up ordering one as well! Next we had our meal! My husband got the chorizo scramble, which he enjoyed, and I got the novocento benedict (a steak and eggs Benedict), which was really yummy and somehow tasted lighter than it was! The service was excellent, the location was amazing looking over Brickell and the skyline, overall a wonderful experience!

Loving the memorabilia for opening night!

Such an awesome restaurant and I really want to go back and try their brunch. I came here on a date night and it was their opening night so lots of fun entertainment like a tango performance and complimentary hand fans. To start they bring you a complimentary bread starter and I ordered the provoleta which is a melted cheese appetizer and it is absolutely delicious. For my main course, I got the extrana streak and it was delicious with their chimichurri. As always I need something sweet after a delicious meal so I got the dulce de leche panqueques and I was in heaven. Next up, I have to try their brunch!

Salty Flame in Brickell??? Yeah... they did what needed to be DONE…read more We came for happy hour and accidentally had a full spiritual experience through appetizers. First of all, the vibes were immaculate. We sat outside and it was so peaceful at first because I think we were literally the first people there for happy hour/lunch. It felt like we unlocked a secret level before the crowd came. Perfect weather, great energy, good music, cute scenery... very "main character with a discounted cocktail" energy. Now let's talk FOOD. Every single dish we ordered was SO flavorful. Like somebody in that kitchen actually believes in seasoning and I just want to personally thank them for their service. Even the fries??? And let's have a serious conversation because not all fries deserve rights. Especially those thick overly battered fries that feel like you're chewing on drywall. These fries were thin, crispy, flavorful, perfectly seasoned... exactly how fries should be. No unnecessary jacket on them. Just vibes. The tuna tartare was AMAZING. Fresh, flavorful, light, addictive. I could've ordered another one and acted like it was "for the table." The calamari was cooked perfectly too. Nice and airy, tender, not rubbery. You know how some calamari fights back when you chew it? Not this one. Peaceful calamari. The edamame with the chunky sea salt was weirdly one of my favorite things. So simple but SO good. And the Korean wings??? BABY. Those were "cancel your evening plans and order another round" wings. We don't say "to die for" anymore because positivity, growth, healing... but let's just say I would dramatically think about those wings again later. The drinks were great, the prices during happy hour honestly felt fair, and our waiter was SO sweet and attentive the entire time. Overall, I would absolutely come back. Honestly, if my responsibilities would allow it, I'd pull up to this happy hour every day like it's a part time job!

Also, people kept strolling in, looks like they have a private back area. People were interestingly dressed and kept taking photos near the back. The service was okay, it felt like the food took long to come out, considering there weren't a lot of diners there. Two of us had the picanha, it was good but it was à la carte, so I ordered potatoes with like a chili oil topping as a side. Split that with my daughter who ordered the mahi mahi and really enjoyed the mahi. The last person in our party ordered a chicken dish, I think it might have been Asian style; she said it was okay.

The staff make you feel at home the moment you walk onto the property. I say property because it is much for than a restaurant. It is a gorgeous courtyard, multiple bars, a huge dining room. It's one of the most unique layouts I've seen and it creates the foundation for an incredible experience. Our reservation was 8:30pm on a Sunday and it was packed. There was not a single open table. We left around 11pm and still, totally packed. Sunny's is a hot restaurant - anytime, any day they are booked solid. The food is incredible. We started with the raw bar and had oysters, scallops, hamachi, and razor clams. The raw razor clams were the best I've ever had. The scallop with the salsa verde.... Wow. Amazing bites. We got the sausage filled with Comte cheese. This is one of the best items on the menu. Must order. We ordered the agnolotti and cavatelli. The duck cavatelli is an excellent pasta dish. The crab agnolotti is one of the best pasta dishes I've ever had, if not the best (contenders are Torrisi and Lilia so you know I know). When you bite into the agnolotti, it's bursts like a soup dumpling filled with rich corn butter and cream. It's quite literally magical. You have to appreciate the genius and talent that went into this dish. We finished with the hanger steak - perfectly cooked and seasoned. We enjoyed it with potato butter and green peppercorn sauce. We also got the fries. A perfect, golden, crispy fry dipped into the potato butter as an experience on its own. Our dinner ended with the kouign Amann ice cream sandwich. A must order if your second stomach can handle it. Not sure if I've used the work "spectacular" in any of my Yelp reviews to date, but Sunny's deserves it. A night to remember!

We booked a 6:30 PM reservation so we could grab a happy hour drink before hand. I think the cocktails at the happy hour bar are different from the regular menu. I had an apricot gin cocktail that I didn't love, but was decent and a slow slipper and my husband had a campari cocktail that is great if you like campari. The bartender was accommodating and overheard me asking my husband if he knew how to spritz the lemon peel like she did but he hadn't been paying attention so she did it again. For dinner, I spotted the table next to us dining on the rolls and Caesar salad and decided I wanted both. The server mentioned that salad is one of their most popular. The rolls were light and fluffy, and very large with sweet and savory honey butter. The Caesar salad was good. It comes out as large leafs of romaine, which is a nice presentation but I do think that leads to breadcrumb and dressing distribution being uneven. It was a very good salad dressing though, not too tart or heavy but still creamy and zesty. For our entrees we had the cavatelli with duck ragu which was my favorite. There were both crispy and tender elements to the duck and the pasta just melted in your mouth. We saved a tiny bit of it to take home because we couldn't stop nibbling on it, and it was great the next day too. They brought our steak out after our pasta. We should have specified we wanted them at the same time. By the time our steak arrived we were pretty full. The steak was served tender and juicy. We got the Prime Hanger. I appreciated that the server mentioned their two less expensive cuts were very popular instead of trying to upsell us on their pricier options, as we were very happy with this option. We had some steak leftover as well which was delicious the next day too. As it was perfectly medium rare, we were able to heat it up on a skillet without it overcooking much. We ordered the Bernaise sauce with our steak, but it was not necessary and I probably would have skipped it. Service was good and pretty efficient. They made sure to check on us frequently but the meal was good without any additions. I don't remember if when booking I requested an outdoor table but their patio is quite hot in summer. I think they need some outdoor fans to help with the heat as I was shvitzing a bit. If I were to visit again in the summer I would make sure to specify the need for an indoor table, but I'm sure it's lovely in the winter months. There was also the occasionally fly near our food which did kill the mood a bit and some table fans might help with. There is a gravel parking lot next to the restaurant. When we arrived there was only one spot available so it does fill up.

From the moment we arrived, the service was impeccable--attentive without being intrusive, knowledgeable, and genuinely warm. You can immediately tell this is a place that takes hospitality seriously. The wedge salad followed, crisp and refreshing with just the right balance of richness and acidity. For the mains, the experience really elevated. I had the tomahawk steak, and it was outstanding--perfectly cooked, deeply flavorful, and easily one of the better steaks I've had in Miami. My wife ordered the lobster ravioli, and this dish deserves special mention: it wasn't just ravioli with a hint of lobster--it actually featured generous, large pieces of lobster, which made it feel both indulgent and well worth ordering. The ambiance strikes a great balance between upscale and lively, making it ideal for both a special occasion or an elevated night out in Brickell. Now, to be clear--prices are definitely on the higher side. But in this case, you truly get what you pay for. Between the quality of the food, the execution, and the level of service, it feels justified. Food-wise, everything we ordered was good but some dishes felt overpriced for what they were. The beef carpaccio,l was overwhelmed by oil which dulled the delicacy of the meat. The wedge salad was similarly heavy-handed: fully tossed and drenched in dressing losing the crisp that makes a wedge shine. That said, the filet mignon was excellent: well-cooked, properly seasoned, and easily the standout of the meal. It was the dish that felt most worth its price. Overall, Miami's Dirty French is a great choice for a sexy steakhouse night out with a lively atmosphere and solid food.

A restaurant that still comes to mind months later is usually doing something right, and this visit confirmed what we loved about our first experience. We made reservations without any issues a couple of days before. The restaurant was clean, bright, and had not filled up yet with the busy Sunday family crowd. Upon being seated, we were provided with the regular menu and the Miami Spice Lunch menu. The Miami Spice Lunch, which has now become a daily Executive Lunch special, is a standout value. The portion sizes and the quality of the Argentinian steaks speak for themselves. As a group, here's what we ordered: Starters - Ham and Cheese Empanadas - Morcilla - Grilled Provolone Each starter delivered exactly what you'd expect from an Argentinian steakhouse. The empanadas were warm and flaky, the morcilla was rich and well seasoned, and the grilled provolone came out bubbling and perfect for sharing amongst our table with the restaurant's complementary bread basket. Entrée: - New York Strip Steak, 12 oz This was the only cut of steak we ordered. It was cooked to each of our desired temperatures and seasoned simply, letting the quality of the beef speak for itself. It is clear why La Cabrera has a reputation as one of Latin America's best restaurants. Sauces on the side, which included a BBQ sauce, and a chimichurri, were left for our choosing and were used for the side dishes more than anything. Sides: - French Fries - Jasmine Rice Both sides complemented the steak well. The fries were crispy and large in size. My father-in-law, a cuban man who's very serious about his rice dishes, thought the jasmine rice was very good. Dessert: - Dulce de Leche Ice Cream with Cone - Dulce de Leche Pancakes The ice cream was smooth and rich, while the pancakes were finished with a sugary powder coating that was impossible to resist. This lunch reinforced why La Cabrera continues to be stand out in a crowded field of steakhouses. Between the consistency, generous portions, and the value of their daily menu specials, it's an easy recommendation whether you're bringing family, hosting someone from out of town, or simply looking for a great lunch in Coconut Grove.
