Pleasantly surprised. We were in the mood for bbq and thanks to yelp came across this very good spot. We ordered burnt ends, brisket, ribs, Mac and cheese and corn bread. Everything was very good and Harvey the owner is super nice and friendly. NOTE it's open 7 days a week for catering but only open Friday- Sunday for takeout only. I took some time to consider what I was going to say in this review. I respect that small businesses live or die by reviews and I didn't want to write without thinking. Harvey's seems to be barbecue by people who don't really know barbecue. The gentrification of barbecue is something I could write a book about. I wont dear reader. The meat I sampled The ribs were more chisel off the bone than fall of the bone. The chicken was dry and flavorless. The pulled pork literally seemed like rib meet they had stripped from the bone. I assume the ran out of pulled pork, at least thats my hope. The sides The macaroni and cheese was pretty good The coleslaw and potato salad were both flavorless and watery. Actually nasty. The sauces- I ordered the sampler. The bbq sauces were all very similar...ketchupy, bland and sweet. The mustard sauce. What was supposed to be carolina gold seemed more like brown mustard. It had the thick consistency of brown mustard,again I hope they just ran out. I get that this review is pretty negative, and I wish I could be more complimentary. 1st time trying Harvey's BBQ - ordered thru delivery service, will advise they do their own deliveries, so be patient with not being able to track your order. Brisket was good, tender and flavorful, the BBQ sauce is tasty. I could go without the chicken though. I included pictures to show size of the sides, wish they were bigger. I have meat leftover, but no side to match cause the portions aren't balanced in my opinion. Overall, I'd order again, maybe checking out a la carte instead of as a combo. read more

We used Harvey's to cater our daughter's engagement party and we couldn't be happier. From the moment I inquired, Natalie was so helpful ensuring the menu was exactly what we needed. I'm so happy we found Harvey's and my family devoured everything we bought! We tried the ribs (got two racks, half rack was enough for one person, beautiful smoke ring), 1/2 chicken with two sides (coleslaw was awesome, not watery and the right balance of cabbage and carrot, I didn't even get to try the Mac and cheese because it was eaten before I could try it. The dark meat was succulent, the light was good but I'm not such a big fan in the first place), brisket (I may have messed up here, I wish I asked for half lean and half fat), burnt ends (these were wonderful, not too saucy/sweet, good balance of meat and fat), cornbread (perfect color, good consistency, not grainy), bread pudding (the order says serves 2, I didn't share because it was too good). The food is the most important, but there's something to be said about the service. The website was fantastic and super easy to order from. The checkout experience was excellent and very easy using Google Pay. Here's where they went above and beyond, Natalie called me as a courtesy to let me know the team was just getting back from the holidays and my order might take a little bit longer. It was only 15 minutes later than my original time. I got stuck in traffic and was running about 15 minutes late, but got a call when I was about 5 minutes away letting me know the food was ready. I pulled up to the location (it's not a restaurant! look for the sign on the gate) and Natalie met me outside, was super nice and even helped me get the food in the car. The brisket had a good finish to it and the ribs and pulled pork were good but i Don't believe that this is smoked bbq, if it is the smoke was not detectable. I don't however see them advertised their meats to be smoked so maybe it's just not that type of place. Cornbread was spot on, apple bread pudding was a little tart/crisp but some prefer it that way. Their spare ribs and baby backs were so delicious and fall off the bone tender with their own sweet Harvey's bbq sauce. Their brisket was also perfectly cooked and very tender. For sides we ordered the Mac n cheese, baked beans and slaw which were all perfectly made. My favorite were the baked beans. They also included dinner rolls. Yesterday my wife and I were watching a show about smoking ribs and brisket. So we decided to look around for a place. We noticed that Harvey's had a great review so we decided to call. Unfortunately they were closed, but we still ordered a whole meal for the following day. All I can say is WOW ! The day wait was well worth it. The Ribs were out of this world good. The brisket was so wonderfully tender and delicious. The wings were good too, but they fell in comparison because the ribs and the brisket were so good. That's not saying the wings were bad at all. We ordered corn, beans and bread as well. Everything was good ! They deliver as well, so during this pandemic, it's very helpful. I finally gave it try and ordered from new location and actually drove from old cutler to pick up some good BBQ , What a let down ! Directions that recommended to text when you arrive and park in the designated area we're not marked anywhere. The portions for the price were not like they used to be and the quality /taste also was mediocre. collard greens were so salty I couldn't eat them. Ribs and chicken were dry and hard , and brisket was fatty and dry. On a good note the Mac and cheese had good flavor but dry. i have never written a review but owner needs to understand that the quality of the food and business is lacking . read more

I really wanted to LOVE this meal but it was just ok. Everything was nicely packaged and arrived hot which is a wonderful start. We ordered the junior sampler for 2 adults and 1 child, Mac & cheese, bbq beans, corn on the cob, and an extra side of cornbread. It was plenty plenty of food, lots of leftovers! My daughter wouldn't even touch the Mac and Cheese, we found it very cheesy but very bland. The beans were good, nice balance of flavors and enjoyed by all. Corn was also bland, we added butter and salt. Of the meats, we truly enjoyed the brisket. It was awesomely tender and nicely seasoned! Very tasty! The ribs had good flavor but were a bit on the dry side as was the chicken. We love bbq and especially smoked meats.
