A hidden jewel in the city of progress. Food is very delicious. I also had the lemonade which was very refreshing and natural. The mofongo is one of the best in Hialeah.

The food was absolutely delicious, I had the Vaca frita with rice and beans (10/10) My mom had the chicken w/ lime & cilantro & mofongo it was super good (10/10) my dad had mofongo with shrimp and it was to die for (10/10) do keep in mind that the vaca frita portion is small though, so I would recommend getting two sides that will fill you up if you like to eat a lot or get a mofongo that's a pretty great portion. We are totally coming back here. The service was great, the young man who attended us is one of the owners I believe and he was very attentive and nice. The natural drinks were delicious as well, I had passion fruit. Do keep in mind that they are natural and fresh, if you prefer a more artificial flavor the natural juices might not be for you.

Amazing food and service! We ordered the Mofongo, goat stew, chicken breast, and fried pork. 10/10 for everything

    Empanadas

If I could leave 0 stars I would, their empanadas are so tiny and they charged me $4.50 each. How can you charge so much for something so small?!? No wonder they only have 3 reviews. Will never spend money here again.

This was the worst place I've been to in a while. A Dominican woman who works in the back (kitchen) embarrassed me and caused a big seen when she argued with me in front of people, yes, argued with me, because she tried to sell me an alcapuria de CARNE as a alcapuria de jueyes. Legit, arguing with me despite me and other customers proving her wrong! I was on my hour lunch break and 45 minutes later, still no food so I had to take it to go, the quipe was horrible and so basically all I had was a soda for lunch. When I finally got home that food looked like garbage and the red beans looked like pudding. I have never ate bad Dominican food, UNTIL this place. I was so pissed. But me being me, I not only paid but left a tip for the waitress. Smfh. I will never go there again and I will not let anyone I know go there either.

The flavors were rich, comforting, and straight-up authentic. You can taste the love in that food. And let's talk portions... they are NOT playing with you. I had enough leftovers to run it back for dinner later, and it still tasted just as good! The service? Super attentive and welcoming--exactly what you want when you're trying to sit, relax, and enjoy a good meal. And the decor is such a vibe--cute, cozy, and full of personality. Even the restroom had a unique touch... a big pot turned into a sink! Like... come on, that's creative Will I be back? Oh absolutely. Probably next month though, because it's about an hour drive for me--but listen... it's worth it. If you're ever in the area and craving real, authentic Dominican food... don't even think twice. Just go.

Great place to have a delicious Puerto Rican meal…read more Service was fast and efficient, no wait time when I arrived. Monday evening, holiday. Food was delicious, from appetizer to main entree. Recommendations were made and I went with all of them. Pork belly chunks that were seasoned with salt and pepper, and lemon was added afterward for a little more punch in the flavor. Shrimp creole was delicious. The red beans and rice mix makes you want to keep having more and mixing it all together gives you a flavorful punch in your mouth. Mofongo, aka , masked green plantains are only for those looking for something a little dry with flavor. Mines had steak and it was drizzled with mojito sauce and oil. Our server was excellent and recommended flipping it over to have the juice flow into the mofongo which she went ahead and did.. steak was well done and when mixed in had a great combination of flavor.. Ambiance feels like a local P.R spot, flags, art, music, and very fun ambiance. Enjoyed it. Definitely when I'm in the area will come again..

The food was mixed . - Alcapurrias : 5 stars crunchy, juicy, proper size and flavor. - pork chunks mofongo: 4 stars, great flavor. Huge pork portion. - shrimp mofongo creole sauce: 3 stars sauce was on the saltier side and once it reached the bottom of the mongo it was "just too much" - churrasco (kids): 3 stars. A bit overcooked (kid refused to eat it) but it was decent flavor and tenderness. - beans: 3 stars, too salty - white rice : 1 star, felt dry and grainy like day old rice from the fridge.
