The place is a very standard pizzeria, it looks like a pizzeria should. The food: Grandma Pie- The pie was OK, it was slightly bland. I thought the tomato sauce was on the thin side and it shoulda been more explosive with flavor. I also wish the bottom was crispy or crunchy, only corners were crispy. http://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=6Lg9rJT77DGCeCSmJsogLw&userid=Y_iTTjKvV5hLy-880SZzlA Prosciutto balls- these were really good and rustic. They are nothing fancy but they are simple, cheesy and gooey. http://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=w-Aj4QieSaUKMziIbhwH1A&userid=Y_iTTjKvV5hLy-880SZzlA Stuffed eggplant- Rice, meat, eggplant & fresh mozzarella. I really enjoyed this. The tomato sauce was really good, it was very robust but a tad sweet. The flavor of the eggplant, rice and meat worked well together. I say this is a must, especially for eggplant people. http://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=5KSY1AqqdP5aN3_5yze8Hw&userid=Y_iTTjKvV5hLy-880SZzlA read more

I heard about the hype of this place so thought to give it a try. We got well done (that's how I prefer it) and I can say it was a decent slice. I can see why people like it. I will definitely go back and try their specialty slices!! In general I am not a fan of the regular cheese slices but that's just my preference. I am eyeing the Sicilian pie, so until next time ‍ read more

Krispy Pizza - Original cheese pie - Pizza Near Me - Brooklyn, New York

Honestly, it's my favorite pizza in Brooklyn and New York. It's far from the city, so tourists never come, making service quick. It's a pretty chill spot! Go all the time. read more

Top 3 pizza place in nyc. They're reliable, quick, delicious and owned and employed by the nicest people. Other than the pizza being really great, the staff are always nice and quick with orders. Their pizza is reasonably priced and I appreciate how they're always making new twists on pizza. I'm always down to have a slice of Krispy's pizza. I love supporting local places and this spot has been my go to for as long as I can remember. read more

It's a SHAME.. the Customer Service is Horrible.. I have gone a few times and get Ignored! There are about 6-7 guys behind the counter and NOT ONE asks " can I help you"? Not one makes eye contact and the do know you want to order because it has not been crowded when I have gone there.. this past Friday 4/19 I said to myself let me try again and Guess what.. the same thing happened, so after waiting about 10 mins J had to walk OUT and settle for Burger King nearby.. I don't recommend them, it's a shame for our neighborhood I don't even want to give them 1 star read more

"Best New York Pizza" is simply a narrow expression, used by people who quickly fall into the spur of one magical slice. I've been to my fair share of great pizza joints, but none of them subjectively the "Best NY Pizza." My friend and I were in the neighborhood for the Christmas Lights (we know you hate us annoying Christmas lights tourists) on Christmas Eve, and we anticipated on Frank's Pizza...only to find out they closed (way before they said they would close). We were hungry and tired and sighed back at the 4 blocks we saw Krispy Pizza...because 90% of the businesses were closed. Don't underestimate the power of a name--the pizza here is said to be one of the best in the neighborhood and its authenticity definitely shined through their pizzas. We both had sicilian slices--Margherita for me, and Palermo for him. I absolutely loved the Margherita slice--the tomatoes were plump and you can taste the strong flavors of the basil, mozzarella, and the aftertaste of the onions lingering in your mouth. Best of all, it was thick and underwhelming, but I didn't feel it was as filling as a regular slice would be. I would say it's one of the greater pizzas I've had, but it only took a few bites. $3 is a little more than what I usually pay for a slice, but I thought it was well worth it--if only the slice was a little bigger. Will be back for the Grandma Slice! I'm so glad we ended up at this place because you can get a real Italian feel from the guys who work here and run this place. This place also happens to be surrounded by some real Dyker Heights gems, like Grandma's Bakery and Aunt Butchie's, so be sure to check those out if you still have room in your stomach! read more

Best pizza in dyker heights!! Great service whenever I go!! Highly recommend! I usually get the hot honey roni!

I absolutely love this pizzeria but there is no order or system when it comes to placing an order at this place. Came recently and there were 5-6 workers behind the counter and a bunch of customers walking in. There was no line and the workers helped whoever they wanted to. Didn't get helped until I had to interrupt someone who had skipped me and was about to place an order. Not pleased at all with the service. read more

After seeing this place all over my Instagram i decided to take the drive from queens. I got a vodka, trio and pepperoni pesto square with a salad and an order of garlic knots. The staff was so patient and nice while i made my decision. The slices were delicious! The vodka slice was slightly sweet. The trio was delicious. But my favorite had to be the pepperoni pesto square. The knots were garlicky and perfect. 10/10 would definitely recommend read more

According to my husband this is the best pizza he had in 10 years. We ordered 5 different slice and garlic bread, everything was fantastic.

Wow this place exceeded expectations. Made the trip down as a visitor to the city and enjoyed that, as a tourist, the area was not touristy and the place seemed more like a locals joint. Staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, queue was fairly short at the time we arrived and service was quick. Seating area in the back was cosy, clean and full of local accents which was nice to hear as a Brit. 5/5 would go again and recommend. read more

Krispy Pizza - Pesto pepperoni slice, vodka pepperoni slice and a side pot of vodka sauce - Pizza Near Me - Brooklyn, New York

We ordered 4 different pies. All different ones and they were all soggy! absolutely terrible and we will not be getting pizza here again.

Every time I come to NY, I say I want a thin slice pizza. This place has the kind I like. I opted for the square since my niece got the thin slice. Also, got a arancini to share with my cousin. Square was good, but the sauce just a tad sweet. I only got a bite of the thin since my niece actually finished her. The arancini was okay, think it would be better with some marinara sauce over it. I would definitely come back here for some pizza. read more

I used to come here a lot. Probably once a week for a quick slice. I don't know if something has changed, but the last two times I ordered a whole pizza the sauce had this weird sweetness to it. Can't pinpoint it, but it's caused me to avoid ordering a whole pizza. I think you're better off getting a slice anyways if you want a Krispy pizza it's hard to do with a whole my pizzas always turned out soggy in the middle. read more

Krispy Pizza - Pizza Near Me - Brooklyn, New York

Good thing about this place is that it's open late. Too bad the pizza was a big disappointment. Everything was way too SWEET! I had the vodka, palermo and spinach roll. The creaminess of the vodka sauce was distracted by the super sweetness. I couldn't even taste the saltiness of the cheese! Same thing with the Palermo. It was a slice that featured fresh tomatoes on top but I couldn't even taste that freshness because it was sweet! I did not like the spinach roll and should have known better when he mentioned there was tomatoes and onions in there. I love a simple spinach, mozzarella and olive oil recipe. This place has huge ratings but doesn't stack up well against the better NY slices. I won't be back. read more

Loved the pizza! Saw this on social media and my friend and decided to give it a try. Our pizza was exactly like how we saw it on the post: we tried vodka Sicilian, hot honey roni, buffalo chicken and chicken rancherito. Pizza was tasty, fresh and not acidic nor salty (you know some pizzerias' is just not good) Can't say that is the case of Krispy Pizza. Everything tasted great. And the staff were friendly too. I'm recommending this place to all I know. read more

I was here for the first time today. I was hoping to see the guy that is on my FYP (for you page) on Tik Tok that makes the pies but he was nowhere to be found at the restaurant. The good thing about this place was that there was no line out the door where you have to wait an hour. You get served rather quickly here with no line. I noticed this place gets a lot of the locals here, the old school new yorkers and the up and coming "old school" new yorkers who've been living in Dyker Heights their whole life. It seemed many of the people at the restaurant eating knew the other patrons here as well. It seemed like a close knit family and something that I am not used to since I came all the way from Manhattan. I personally didn't think the pizza on display looked amazing. I wanted to try the tye dye pizza but it looked like it was sitting there for a while so I opted for the pesto pepperoni. The guy literally forgot about my pizza slice and kept in the oven for way too long. I had to remind somebody there and they brought it out for me. The crust was so cooked and hardened and was very hot. The pesto pizza wasn't bad, it's not something I would get as a pie and it's a pizza shop that didn't exceed my expectations. For all my travels, I just decided to get that once slice and bounce. This pizza shop is a social media hype machine and they did have a lot of customers ordering slices but I wouldn't recommend anyone to come here during the winter time. The travel from Manhattan by subway was long and when you take the N to Fort Hamilton Parkway station, you have to walk a good 15-20 minutes to the pizza shop. I would save this trip for the spring or summer next year. This is a great pizza shop if you live in the neighborhood but if you're traveling here from a good distance away, it really wasn't worth it but I like to try a pizza shop once for the experience and for the story. The pesto pepperoni slice was $5 and they don't serve cans of soda, I had to pay almost $3 for a bottled ginger ale which I wasn't a fan of. I probably won't come back here ever again unless I am in the area for something. Best of luck to the owner. read more

What happened to one of the best pizza places ? My family and I ordered last night and it was HORRIBLE!!!!! 1. Philly cheese steak- WHERES THE DAMN STEAK?!?! It was one hell of an empty sandwich 2. I've been ordering pizza from this place since long ago (when it was $1.25/$1.50 a slice). I move to another state for 6+ years and I'm glad this place is still here. Got the Palermo slice and it was absolutely delicious! The toppings formed a perfect medley of flavors; sweet plum tomatoes and onions and savory mozzarella cheese. Krispy Pizza - Palermo slice - Pizza Near Me - Brooklyn, New York

Not Just a Name From the pizza tour diary: Krispy is not just a name. It's the crust. And delving into the title even further, I cowered at the thought that, wait, maybe this is a Kosher pizzeria? Thankfully it isn't, with the menu bearing no other restrictive diet words and callously offering meatball parmigiana heroes. The spaghetti slice looks awesome. I crave that cream sauce, and over a pizza shell, makes that shit scrumptious . Even my outrage from the thought of pasta over bread is quelled by the heavy cream. It would so soothe my stomach. As for the standard slice: Great sauce, mild. It's a sauce forgotten by current pizzaiolos. The crust is cardboard reminiscent and there is a certain mall-ness to the slice. Tastes just like the pizza place next to the movie theater in the Sunrise Mall 1992. It's so weird pizza like this is nearly extinct. Yes, it's crispy, it's crunchy and it's delicious. I ordered a grandma's pie - $19.00, by the slice it's $2.50. So, if you have to feed 4 people or more, it's worth it because you get 12 slices in the pie. You should order beforehand, it may take up to 15 - 30 min. for them to make a pie for you. I personally ate 3 slices, haha. There is no way you can only eat one! The slice - thinner than most grandma slices, but the crispy crust is amazing. The bread does not weigh you down and its a little bit salty. The sauce was spread evenly as a thin layer. The cheese is dispersed in such a way that blotches of lovely red pizza sauce peeks through. Someone in my group wanted more cheese, but I wanted more sauce instead, but in the end, it was one damn good pie. By the way, the bathroom is immaculate. Never before have I seen a porcelain bowl so close to godliness. Plus, there is ample seating if you can't wait to eat your slice, which I couldn't. Enjoy, my Krispy friends! read more

Being late getting to a nearby place for dinner, I found out my original destination was packed full of people waiting to get in. What to do? It was already 10 PM. Then I discovered that this pizza place that I book marked awhile ago opens till midnight on Friday and Saturday. I'm saved from starving myself for the rest of the night. Walking in, this pizza shop seems like any other bare bones pizza shop. Nothing fancy but does have a decent amount of seating and tables to accommodate over a dozen families. The owners and workers here were very friendly and despite this being my first visit, I was made to feel I've been patronizing this establishment for years and that they have become friends. And the pizzas...oh man, the pizzas... they know what they are doing. At $3 for a slice of the basic pizzas, a little more for the squares and specialty toppings, they aren't the cheapest nor the most expensive out there but they are very generous with the portion sizes as compared to some other shops. All the pizzas have a nice char and slight crunch to the dough that I like. The round pizzas are between a thin slice pizza and a regular slice in thickness. I got to try some that initial night and was so impressed that I came back for lunch the very next day to try out a few more. So far I've tried: -Marinara slice. Pretty good although not amazing. Sweet sauce and very high quality mozzarella top with fresh whole basil leaves. If you best of this style go to Di Fira although there it would cost you over 5 bucks a slice and climbing. 3.5 stars -Vodka slice. OMG!!!! My favorite so far. Had it that night and we had to repeat another slice the day after. So full of flavor, melting with excess cheese, and all complimented by a crunchy dough bursting with fragrant sesame seeds. 5 stars -White slice. Pretty good. If you want something without the sweetness of pizza sauce, whites use a more buttery white sauce topped with ricotta and mozzarella. 4 -Buffalo chicken slice. I had a awful version of buffalo chicken a few years back and I almost didn't get this because of that memory. Another customer convinced me to try. Now this is the way to do it right. Really is like a good buffalo wing mixed into a pizza. Salty, slightly spicy, meaty, and cheesy, it sounds weird but works much better in the taste buds. 4 -Talking about weird. They have two salad pizzas. I tried the tossed chicken salad slice based on the advice of the same customer that suggested the buffalo chicken pizza. This pizza they won't heat up because it would cook the greens so you get it cold. Surprising good. It's like a good vegetable salad sandwich with strong hints of high quality olive oil and vinaigrette topped with chunks of chicken meat. 4 stars. Places like Krusty Pizzas are one of the reasons why NYC, and Brooklyn in general have such a good reputation for pizzas. And why despite the growth of good dollar pizza spots the last few years, pizza makers such as this would always thrive and people would travel far to eat it. read more

I probably order from here twice per week. I work close by...and I've been at my job for 2 years. Everything I have ever ordered from here has been top notch. Consistently top notch. Everything from the buffalo chicken pizza to the fettuccine Alfredo is amazing. The portions are freaking huge!!! I only have 2 very minor issues - a) whoever answers the phone doesn't listen well, and then they rush you off the phone which is hella annoying. B) they have to do better quality control. I ordered some chicken Alfredo yesterday and there was a whole clove of garlic (not minced lol) in the top of my dish. They still get 5 stars because the food is delicious and the delivery is fast. read more
