Great place to return to in this quiet area but I have a better option about 10 minutes away. I ll come back with 1 more person so we can try vodka and regular pizza which people love. Going to hope I can change to a 5 star. Price was $8.50 for 2 pieces. So it's not cheap. A Tony's Pizza in Brooklyn, can't say that's much of a stretch of namesake to location. As a half Italian, I never liked the name Anthony or Tony, but I live the proud men that don the name. I create visuals to all my characters and I always attached pictures some fat dark haired kid running home with undone shoelaces for evening pasta with his bingo armed half stocking grandma calling him from the stoop. "Heeeyyyy Anthooooonyyy". All kidding aside, any neighborhood would be blessed to have such a pizza parlor - that's what we called them. I videoed the experience of walking in and asking questions and I wish I could show it to you all, my beloved readers. It's on my YouTube channel and it's fabulous, it's authentic, it's real. The booming voice from the slight body behind the counter, explaining why Tony's is so special was echoed by the sweetest little lady who had pies stacked over her head, as she navagated her way to the exit from the boxes sides. She and her family have been coming here since way back apparently, another genuinely happy soul she was. Thin crust that is perfectly suited for the fold, ya gotta do the regular slice fold and elbow up lean, but this was after the dry garlic, oregano, red pepper dispensers were thoroughly cleaned by a worker that looked me up and down quizzically yet kindly. Next time I happen to be around during the meal time hours, I'm buying a pie to take home to share Tony's of Brooklyn's special slices and something special from their beautiful menu options of Italian entrees. read more

I was coming off of a 25 mile hike across Brooklyn and Staten Island and stopped at this pizza place. Slices were three bucks and onwards. The cheese was nothing to right home about and the margherita pizza was too saucy. Service was quick but the pizza is average worldwide but truly below average for a place in Brooklyn. read more

Very disappointed food . Rather order pizza from Domino's , Which is located at next block. I ordered 1 Buffalo chicken slice , 1 Sicilian slice and a clam pasta with white sauce. Pizzas here were one of the worst pizza I had in Brooklyn. Crusts were dried and hard , the sauce tasted normal , and the cheese were missing in action, zero cheese pull or favor. Now the pasta , their pasta suace tasted it like the ocean , literally ocean salt , the suace was very watery , half of it was their watery salt soup. Had to threw out the paste after few bites , because it was so salty and bad . If you crave for some quality pizza, don't come here , there are plenty of great pizzerias within 1 mile of distance. But if you are just hungry, give it a try and you will know. read more

Excellent old school pizzeria! We made our annual trek to see the Dyker Heights Christmas lights and happened to park next to this pizzeria with 2 hungry kids. Specialty slices looked delicious, but we got a classic regular pie. Cooked to perfection. Our family devoured it. vodka slice was very good. Tasted like it had ricotta on it as well. The vodka sauce was subtle but the real star was the crust. It was perfect. Not too soft but not too crunchy. Delicious. The grandma slice was also very good but the star of the show here is the regular slice which is weird because i usually prefer the grandma slice. I will come back if I am in the area. The vodka slice was good but not the best I've had. I didn't find it to be creamy enough. I tried one in the Bronx that was absolutely creamy and delicious. The pizza itself was very good though. $3 for the specialty slices, which isn't too expensive. Nice environment and the workers are friendly. read more

I ordered from this place before. The pizza was good and orders got home quick. Now? Pizza is okay but cold. My order took an hour+ to get to my house. Even though I not far. After 45mins I called the place and they called the driver. The guy on the phone said the driver would call me. He called me after 20 mins. Pizza was outside the container to keep it warm(not the box), and the tape look like it may have been tampered with(unclear). I don't what the hell happened, but I'll be ordering from another place. Delivery only review! The driver was very nice and followed the delivery instructions perfectly and the food arrived earlier than projected! No complaints on either account!! The three star rating is because the food was totally average. The buffalo wings were definitely frozen and tasted a little freezer-burned even though the sauce was pretty good. They even put the celery and the dip separately so it wouldn't get soggy/hot but the wings just weren't good. The Neapolitan pizza was just so bland. Thick chewy dough (it was fully cooked though). The sauce was boring, it had little to no flavor or spice, although the amount of cheese was good. I was just super unimpressed with the flavor, there are better pizzerias across Brooklyn if you're looking for a regular pie and wings! It tastes pretty good here. I've been to many pizzerias and you can either get the authentic NYC flavor or you get substandard rubbish. The crust is bready with the right texture (my favorite), a little tough and yet soft enough to chew on. It's not thin crust but you can probably request that. It tastes slightly sweet as well and is fragrant. The pizza sauce is tangy and a bit salty. Not sweet like some pizzerias have it. The pizza here is the embodiment of NYC style pizza. GREASY. Eggplant pizza taste great but way too much oil. It's like they threw a cup of oil on top of the pizza when it was done. The eggplant is most likely fried in oil and not patted down dry. You can put like 5 napkins on one pizza slice and its drenched. read more
