Pizza is not my go to; not ever. I was truly determined to give this place a try after hearing my Uncle rave that this is the best sicilian slice in Brooklyn. As you know, being the pizza snob I am, I decided to call his bluff and order a whole pie to my house. If this pie can not only appease me but my highly picky pizza lover 5 year old, then we would be onto something. I ordered and it arrived close to an hour later, which I could understand distance wise. I will say - this Sicilian slice is like you're back in 1996 - forget about 2016 as everyone else is trending - you WANT 1996 pizza greatness. It's soft with a crunch of a bite. Just enough sauce to cheese ratio. I watched my son plow through 2.5 slices....he's FIVE. Absolutely amazing food here. The foods I got were very fresh, cheesy, saucy, and garlic packed with flavor. My only complaint is that it was pretty oily and the seating is kind of dirty but if you're in the area, this one is amazing option hands down for nonpizza options. I think this is best pizza on the block! There's seats for singles and groups, and a mirror to record your memories in. I didn't even add any seasonings to my pizza and I enjoyed it, which usually I'm a Parmesan, garlic, and red pepper flakes kind of girl. Good and fast service upon walking in. Grabbed a quick slice for lunch, I thought it was a decent slice. It was fresh, the crust was perfect in my opinion (nice and crunchy) but not burned. Right amount of cheese and sauce, when it came to the flavors of the sauce I felt it was missing something. Maybe a little basil or garlic in the sauce, was a little bland for my taste. I love grabbing pizza here. This is my main spot for a pie because of how fresh the ingredients are and they make it just right. The people here are super friendly and attentive. I especially love their garlic knots because they're always drenched in garlic, which is the way it should be and not covered in some flakes of garlic. Their wings are great as well. They have a nice set-up in the back with some tables if you would like to dine-in. This is my preferred pizzeria in the Bensonhurst area and I would recommend it to anyone who is in the neighborhood to try it if you're craving for some superb pizza. read more

I don't know what happened. Maybe they were having a super off day but the slice I ordered was nearly inedible. It made me sad because the people are wonderful and the slices used to be amazing. Visit Date: April 5, 2023 I came here with my dad, my cousin and one of my friends. My cousin wanted to show me a religious shop in the city so I drove to Brooklyn with my dad and my friend to meet him. We took the subway into the city saw St. Patrick's cathedral visited the religous store and took the subway back near where I parked my car and close to where my cousin lives. The four of us walked into DaVinci for some pizza. My dad treated but I wanted the best economical option for us. So my dad ended up getting a pizza pie for the 4 of us to split and he got himself a spinach pinwheel. The pizza here was good, the staff was friendly and provided good service. I had a really disappointing experience at Da Vinci Pizzeria. If I could give less than one star I would. We have them an extremely friendly greeting and the owner was noticeably rude and dismissive toward POC customers, while being much friendlier and attentive to white patrons. It was uncomfortable and disheartening to witness. On top of that, the food was horrible. My pizza arrived cold, and the broccoli on the vegetable pizza was soggy. The flavors were bland, and overall, it just wasn't worth the price. I was able to strike up a convo with the owner as we live in the same area and he seemed pretty cool. I see a few complaints about pricing, but unfortunately, $3.25 is about the norm now for a slice, which I can remember as far back when it was only $1.50. A co-worker recommended that I come out to Brooklyn to try this slice. She said that the Sicilian slice is one of the best in the city. It is a good slice, but the main aspects of this review come from the triangle slice that I try, which unfortunately at DaVinci comes up short. This pizzeria is off of 18th avenue, only a 5 minute walk from the N train. The triangle slice is not bad; it is a chewy slice, with a slightly sweet sauce. Not overly cheesy, but it can be overlooked by the nice sweet sauce that encompasses the slice. It is a little on the small side, but for the price, there is not much to complain about. As for the Sicilian slice, or square slice, it is a better slice. The friendly worker behind the counter recommended it to me and allowed me to pick my slice right out of the oven! Crispy slice, good amount of cheese to sauce, golden crust, all the things I want in a Sicilian slice. It was so good I devoured it. But on your traditional triangle slice, it works well, but it is not one of better slices in the city. It is a great slice for lunch, but has no true lasting flavor. Feels like a one night stand. It is enjoyable in the moment, but then the moment is gone, just like this slice. As I wrap up Brooklyn, and I am almost there, I found that you will never really find bad pizza here in Brooklyn. But you will come across mediocre pizza like this one, unless you prefer the squares. That is the big winner here. Triangles? Sorry, not here. read more

Da Vinci has amazing pizza. There are two reasons why we don't order from here often: 1. No delivery. This limits orders to takeout or dine-in. 2. The pre-made gluten free crust they use is not good. I love that it includes a disposable pizza cutter to stay safe. This is probably the only option for a pre-made gluten free crust through their distributor. I wish it were possible to get a better choice for them. I love Da Vinci. They've been in a longtime rivalry with J&V Pizzeria regarding which is best in this end of Bensonhurst ( and thus, the world). I'd love to make a comparison video between the two after both acquire great GF crusts and Grubhub accounts. read more

Me and two friends went to get some pizza. When we walked in the owner yelled at us saying what do you want? Then we asked for straw then throw the straw at my friend. Then the owner didn't put the pizza the plates he put on the tray. The pizza was not hot at all. Then my friend went up to pay and the owner walked away. Recommended by a local who grew up in the area as the best Brooklyn pizza. Parking is limited, street parking only. We were struggling to work with the parking meter, a stranger who just happened to pass by put some coins for us. Whoever you were, thank you! Once you come inside, a typical Brooklyn guy welcomes you with New York accent. I explained to him how we got here and he gave me the smile he would normally give to his regular local customers. In fact I got to chat with other customers while there and everyone was very nice. Sicilian square pizza is what recommended and that's what I had for my lunch. I don't normally like thick pizza but this one was exception.
