Wow! I should probably not give 5 stars cause the bar stools are supernaturally uncomfortable but the service (blonde lady behind the bar on Friday 5/15) was some of the best I've had recently! And the food was incredible! Wine was off the charts! We had been looking to try this place for months and it really didn't disappoint! Will definitely be back and will tell our friends! read more

" Greek GODs , would eat here " Wow ! I was blown away . Top notch dinning . Incredible, delicious , and tasted fresh . You can taste the caliber of high quality ingredients in every bite . The Greek GODS would eat here if they were alive . The vibe and service is warm and welcoming. I felt like I was eating at my friends house that is from Greece and rich . That's how welcomed I felt . Whoever owns this establishment; I lived your vision . In my dinning experience; every now and then when I closed my eyes . I could feel myself in the Mediterranean; wow . Such a, bold and colorful experience. The prices are more than reasonable for this caliber of dinning experience. I definitely recommend this establishment and absolutely will be back . read more

Krasi was absolutely delicious! Very busy but that is of course because it is so popular. We were sat at the bar but that was nice because we were able to chat with the staff and see the inner workings of the kitchen. Definitely a cool feature of the space is that the kitchen is cooking right behind the bar and you can watch your food being made. We ordered the tzatziki dip and it is brought out deconstructed and made right in front of you which is a nice touch. read more

This is a nice restaurant located near or within walking distance from the prudential center. You need a reservation. It was crowded the entire time I was there with a vibrant energy. Staff were friendly. Restrooms were clean. The food was good. went with the lamb meatballs and had the egg on top. I loved my blood orange mimosa . I was able to taste off others plates and recommend the granola sweet option. I forgot what it was called. That was good. I hope you enjoy. read more

Krasi was quite busy on the July Saturday midday we visited. We'd heard wonderful things about it. The indoor seating was all taken, so we chose sidewalk seating which was quite nice. Setting was great. A bit cramped but ok. Our server, named Brook I believe was very good. Not easy going in and out of the restaurant all morning. The food was no great. I got a savory dish that was phyllo sheets filled with 2 types of cheeses. Halloumi and some parmesan. it looked quite appetizing, but was overly salty. Of course the cheese was salty, but additional salt was obviously added. There were herbs in the cheese, also, that seemed to not match the dish. I managed to eat a bit. My daughter got a dish that was basically tomatoes, cheese, foraged mushrooms and grilled sourdough bread. She was not impressed. Said this is something she could easily make at home. The table next to us got 5 entrees and some were beautiful. The yogurt looked amazing with drizzled honey. 2 entrees were just over $60 including tip. To top it off, the bill suggested 3 levels of tips, starting with 20%. And the tip was based on the total including the tax. We felt that was overstepping. Sorry. Can't recommend Krasi. read more

Had a brunch res for Krasi on a Saturday morning, but the restaurant was not packed at all--you could definitely walk in. Service was good and kind, and they gave me some matchbooks when I asked if they had any. Unfortunately, I was not a fan of the food. Avga me patates was alright, the portakalopita was alright (it came straight from the fridge). The dips were not good, the bread was not warm and not well toasted and just tasted meh. I've heard good things about Krasi dinner though so I would be willing to come back because I'm wondering if I just ordered the wrong things. read more

Krasi should be your next brunch stop in Back Bay! I've wanted to try Krasi for a while and I'm glad I snagged a reservation for the bar area. The restaurant is cute and cozy, with some outdoor seating as well. We split the solomo, lalagites, and patates for brunch. Highly recommend getting the patates and lalagites from these options! The lalagites were super light and the perfect amount of sweet. The patates were fried to perfection with a delicious yogurt dip. The solomo plate was good too but the bread with it was a bit dry. Everyone at the restaurant was super attentive and friendly and all our food came out so quickly. Definitely book a reservation if you're looking for an amazing brunch experience! read more

Solid Greek establishment with nice decor. We were very fortunate to walk-in ~11:45 and immediately get seated at a table, albeit only for 45 mins until 12:30. We got the Htipti, Lalagites, Gyro Benedict, and Souvla. The Htipti (a dip in the Dips item on the menu that we got a la carte for $6) was a spicy pepper whipped feta that was not enjoyable unfortunately: it was quite sour and felt like eating chunks of cheese. The Lalagites were tasty, similar to beignets or chinese fried mantou. The Benedict was our fav, a unique fusion take on a benedict with flavorful morsels of chicken. The Souvla tasted good but could have used more lamb for the $42 market price... Also, the pita bread in both mains were dry and a bit hard to chew. As the time neared 12:30, we appreciated how they gave us an extra 20 mins to finish eating. FYI: Feast of the Goddesses is one of everything on the menu, good for 5-10 people. Will def try that sometime! read more

Loved everything about this experience. I'll start with the most important- the food. We went for brunch and started with the dips (added veggies due to gluten allergy). Then had the egg with spinach in the bread boat and egg with prosciutto style meat and potato strings (fancier names in the photos below). We finished everything- so good! We shared a bottle of semi sparkling orange wine which I highly recommend. Prices were reasonable for Boston (approx $18-20 for mains, but there are cheaper options too and $15 for cocktails). And finally the service was amazing especially the host, Tray, who was so attentive and even offered to take our photo. We'll be back! read more

Amazing wine bar in back bay! If you're looking to come at a prime time on the weekend make sure to make a reservation. We were originally quoted a 2 hour wait but we were able to sneak in before a reservation if we were able to get in and out within an hour (which due to an event we had to leave for in an hour worked for us). Service was fast and attentive and the food and drinks came super fast. The orange wine was cool to try and I look forward to returning to try more. read more

I got "krasi" last night, and I am glad I did. As advertised, "krasi" means "wine." Ok, a wine bar. Stop there and you wonder whether this place aspires to be special at all. There must be more than 10 wine bars in the Back Bay alone. After about 5 minutes here, I soon learned that, as with the Greek language, the complexity of this place cannot be so succinctly described. Turns out, even the name suggests more. "Krasi" is derivative of the word for mixture -- the ancient process of mixing wine with water for drinking it. The atmosphere is varied. Gold accents highlight this modern, minimalist interior. Enough to draw your attention but not enough to overwhelm you. We are seated in close quarters with rows of conversing diners. The blend of conversations lends a rich layer -- somehow hitting more like a well-heeled dinner party than an unwelcome cacophony. The menu is intended to be shareable -- yes, more mixing. The dips and breads are the stars tonight. The zucchini, mint and oregano bread was fragrant and fresh. The crispy chicken skins are a delightful salty and textural complement to the whipped red-pepper feta. The dishes arrive in quick succession and you soon find yourself with a myriad of plates on your table. When a giant bowl of tzatziki arrives, we pause briefly thinking we went too far -- that is, until the smack of dill coming off the grilled sourdough hits our collective palette. Some of meats are less successful -- our grilled pork is slightly tough and the marinated octopus falls a bit flat. No matter though -- our entire meal is enhanced by the extensive Greek wine list. Under the helpful guidance of our servers, we find a couple of bottles with the right touch for our particular blend of flavor. Overall an immersive experience that proves a welcome background for a fun evening with close friends. Dare I say, we mortals even stopped questioning the $500 "feast of the gods" on the menu. read more

Wow wow wow. Krasi is an exceptional Greek restaurant in the Back Bay area of Boston, and it is doing everything right. My partner and I went to Boston on a recent weekend to celebrate his birthday. Wanting to surprise him, I was looking at restaurants that we had not been to, and Krasi had been on one of my lists for a while. Well, let me tell you, it is HARD to get a reservation at Krasi, so I highly suggest going on their waitlist. Closer to the weekend that we were going, a reservation popped up, I was notified, and I quickly snatched it while I could. Knowing what I know now, it was clear that they were taking walk-ins for the bar, and the had availability after 7:30...but since it was in celebration of a birthday, I wanted to lock in the reservation. Krasi is a small establishment, but it has a long expansive bar that overlooks the quaint open-concept kitchen. Along with bar seating, there are intimate tables lined throughout the venue, and in the back, there was a larger elevated table for larger parties. As one would guess, the aesthetics fit the Greek theme with concrete walls, Greek themed decor, modern lighting...it all worked together for the small space, and it did not feel overwhelming. My partner and I got seated by the front window, which was amazing! We were quickly greeted by our server, who was ABSOLUTELY amazing. He was attentive, knowledgeable, and really elevated our dining experience. His knowledge of the extensive wine list was amazing, and he answered questions and provided tasting offerings based on our wants. The wines were amazing, and we are officially fans of orange wine! If you are a wine drinker, I highly suggest tasting through their different wine offerings, as they have wines that wouldn't find anywhere else. As far as the food menu, there are a variety of options ranging from breads, charcuterie, dips, salads, seafood plates and meat plates. We started with the Htipiti which was a spicy feta and red pepper dip served with chicken skins. This was a light and refreshing started off our dinner perfectly. Next we got the Manti, which was a celery root dumpling and the Bay Scallop Crudo, both of which were flavorful and a good portion. Lastly, we ended our dinner with the Giouvetsi, the braised lamb shank which was incredible! We honestly were impressed with all of our dishes. We will certainly be back to Krasi, as the food, the ambiance, and the service all were excellent. I could not recommend this restaurant more. read more

The food was amazing. The server told us one order is enough for one person and it was the perfect food amount. Everything was delicious. The service was amazing as well. The bathroom was super clean. Would definitely come here again! We also ordered the mimosas pitcher and it was perfect for 6 people. The orange juice they used had light pulp in it. We all agreed that it was one of the best mimosas we've ever had. I would recommend making reservations ~a month in advance since they are booked up pretty quickly read more

Wow, wow, wow. Our entire experience at brunch was incredible today. Not only was everything we ordered a 10/10, but it was only made better by our server Jorge. He was so knowledgeable about everything on the menu and was just there to have a good time- which made US have a good time. It was a pleasure. The restaurant itself has a Mediterranean vibe, nice and intimate. For drinks we got the Neos Frappe (Think boozy coffee without being sweet, very balanced) and the Thessaly Cooler (Refreshing, balanced, sort of like a spritz). Both good options. We had the dips to start (8/10) which were a spicy feta, eggplant, and taziki. For brunch we had the Sitari (10/10, I could eat this every day), the moussaka (9/10) and the Keftedes (8/10, so flavorful but a red sauce isn't usually my go to at brunch). I will be recommending this place to our friends visiting Boston, and we will be returning for dinner. Can't recommend this place enough! read more

I'd go back to Krasi only if I had a tremendous amount of wine before I got there. Go around the corner to Hecate if it's the evening. Very difficult to get a seat, service is not as good as I would expect for the price, and the menu is not at all creative if you're used to Mediterranean. For brunch the menu has a lot of very similar options, including a pita that was not what I was expecting a pita to be... It's tasty, sure, but it needed salt and more cheese. I didn't think I'd need more cheese... Ambience is killed by people taking more photos than bites and service that seems unhappy to be there. read more

Very crowded and noisy. Plus. Cold drafts on a cold winter day when patrons come in and out of the resto. Appetizers were good including the salads : they were tasty. The bread was very good. A group of eight of us came for our third annual Feast of the Gods, which we had been looking forward to since our last feast. We made a reservation for 7:30pm on a Monday evening and showed up right on time, only to find the previous party (at the one large table) still in the middle of their meal. The hostess let us know that this party showed up an hour late and that there was nothing they could do. It's unacceptable for a place that opens reservations two months ahead of time to not enforce time restrictions like many other restaurants do. They did offer complimentary rolls while we waited outside, and thankfully it was a nice evening, which makes me wonder what concessions they would have made if it was a rainy day. We finally sat down 40 minutes after we were supposed to. The meal itself was good but I was left with a sour taste with how the delay could have been avoided altogether. read more

Krasi is one sexy restaurant!!! The lights are low. The walls are concrete (real concrete, not manufactured to look like concrete). The lighting flickers and sways like the very stars over the Aegean Sea. The dining rooms is rustic and no nonsense. Enjoy yourself, eat some great food and - most importantly - fell good. It is a one-of-a-kind place that I will remember for a long time. You can see the food coming out of the big oven. The Greek wines are all over the place. The food is great. But with all those superlatives, it is the service from a perfect staff that stands out as Krasi's best trait. Of course, you know I love Greek food. I am 100% Greek and I grew up in a Greek restaurant! This place, however, takes Greek food to a different level. Everything is polished and modernized while retaining the relaxed atmosphere and comfortable ambience of the Greek culture. It is the best of Greece only it's right here in America! Emma, Brooke and Herrell treated us like family. No, they treated us better than family - they treated us like friends. We originally had reservations at 10 pm and I called to see if anything earlier had opened up. Well, I got no answer after calling twice. Do you know what? Emma noticed that and SHE CALLED ME TO SEE WHAT I WANTED. OMG that has never happened anywhere. I don't know if that is training or just the God's smiling on me or what. But she is someone who did her job well, enjoyed her job alot and performed at the top of her game! And, when we showed up for the earlier time slot she materialized, she was so genuine and lovely!!! Brooke too - our server - was friendly, helpful, professional and, to top it all off, worked constantly, never slowing down all evening. While she was handling so many people at so many tables, she always had time for us. She was AWESOME! Herrell is the consummate professional too, stopping by several times to see how we were doing. But there is more with him. He wanted to know something about us. Did we like the food? Were we happy with the restaurant? Who were we, really??? Again, I don't know where the owners have found such great people but I would hire any of these people for any job, anywhere, anytime!!! And I know they could do a great job no matter where they worked too! The bread was to die for, the leek pita was outstanding and VERY Greek, the giouvetsi was authentic and the shrimp were the biggest I have ever seen. We were so full that we simply could not eat more. One downfall - the cup of coffee was so big it seemed like a hot tub. Holy Crap that cup was HUGE! I almost needed help to lift it to my lips. Whoever has come up with this concept is genius! And whoever has made it materialize is a master! Krasi gets a TOP RATING from me and I recommend it to everyone!!!! It is a one-of-a-kind restaurant that I will not forget!!! You will not either! read more

This was one of my first times having Greek food and it didn't disappoint! My friend made a reservation for brunch over 1 month ago for this place. Honestly, I'm glad she did. When I got there, the place was PACKED. No kidding, every single seat in this restaurant was full. People were walking in around 1 pm and I overheard that the wait for a table for 2 was over 2 hours. I was shocked... but after eating here, I kind of understand. We got the Souvla and the Solomo to share. The meat for the Souvla changes daily, but the day we ate there, it was chicken. The Souvla - the chicken was so juicy and tender! It came with lemon slices and a good handful of chicken. It was grilled to perfection. I'm not sure if I would get this again, but it was really tasty! My friend said the lamb Souvla is the best here though. The Solomo - this was my FAVORITE dish. I was actually debating on ordering a second! This dish comes with a crunchy on the outside yet pillow-y soft inside koulouri (which is basically a sesame bread ring, similar to a bagel almost). The smoked salmon was incredibly fresh and not fishy at all. It came with lemon-dill manouri cream cheese, which I'm guessing was made in-house. This cream cheese was delicious and I couldn't get enough of it. I loved the pickled onions as well. There was also a boiled egg and caper berries. Not only was the dish super tasty, but it was incredibly aesthetic. Talking about aesthetics, the restaurant itself is a bit smaller but very cute. The decorations are modern with a nice vibe. I will say their very clean restroom literally feels like a luxury experience. They provide Aesop hand soap AND hand balm. The paper towels there are also so soft. The attention to detail from the food to the bathroom is truly amazing. I would come back again and definitely recommend visiting here! The quality of the food is fresh and very tasty. The prices are a bit high for me to be coming in every weekend, but I would come here on special occasions. It's near Newbury Street so the prices aren't surprising. I would suggest reserving way in advance if you want to come here though. Next time I'm here, I'll be trying their Greek wine(s)! read more

I tried making a reservation over a month in advance for my birthday and to my surprise they were already booked out on the day! I put myself on a waitlist in the hopes of getting a seat and to my luck I got a notification from OpenTable two days before my birthday that there was an opening at 5pm (instead of 7pm that I originally wanted) so I took it! It was a group of 3 of us and we were seated to the front by the door. It was a nice little booth where we got our privacy. Thankfully we were not bothered by the cold air being by the door nor other customers overcrowding the entrance area. I really liked the ambience of the restaurant. Our server was Owen who was very friendly and informative with any questions we had with the menu. Here's what we ordered: Taramosalata dip (black garlic) Nerantzosalatoa (kale, fennel, brussel sprouts with blood orange - served cold) Revithada (chickpea and carrots - served warm) Xtapodi (grilled octopus) Pork souvla (meat of the day was chicken) Bourdeto (fresh catch of the day was grouper) Tsipoura (whole sea bream) Trigona (phyllo pastry with pastry cream) Greek Coffee We enjoyed everything but the Taramosalata dip and The Tsipoura (whole sea bream) were the table's faves. Note they serve Greek Wines and Spirits only. I enjoyed my experience here and can't wait to come back and try other things on the menu. read more

GO TO ILONA OR KAVA NEO-TAVERNA INSTEAD FOR BETTER GREEK FOOD Great ambiance, gets very crowded quickly so I suggest getting a reservation unless you're okay with sitting at the bar. Biggest complaint is the food failed to deliver. We ordered the beet dip with bread, crispy eggplant chips, meat pies, and braised chicken. Beet dip lacked flavor and came with stale bread, eggplant chips were good, but both Greek restaurants mentioned above make better zucchini chips with tzatziki, meat pies were comically small, and the "braised chicken" had no crust or flavor, it just tasted boiled with some sauce poured over it read more

Not a huge fan of Mediterranean food, but really enjoyed this spot! We went on a Wednesday, for their "Symposium Wednesdays" (aka Wine Down Wednesdays). You get to try 4 different Greek wines, that they change each week! Each wine flavor was unique (my first time trying Greek wine), and I liked the gold wine the best! For dinner, we ordered 2 types of cheeses (7 different ones to choose from), the tzatziki sauce with bread, patates (lemon potatoes with herb crust), kolokithias (summer squash blossoms filled with manouri cheese), and skioufikta (Cretan pasta with smoked pork)! Everything tasted delicious- my absolute favorite was the tzatziki sauce!!! It was SO fresh, perfect portions of yogurt, cucumber, dill, garlic, and sea salt. The sour dough bread served with it was fluffy and freshly baked. Service at the bar was great, and I enjoyed all the info presented with the wines. read more

Overall: in this age of inflation and rising expenses Krasi stands above them all as staying true to its culinary excellence. There's a reason why you have to snag a reservation 1+ months in advance especially for a prime time dinner slot. Food: we'll start with the must order lamb osso bucco. Two fist sized portions of lamb on the bone over risotto like orzo. The melt in your mouth texture also happens to melt it's juices all over the orzo soaking it up for a mouthwatering saucy bite. It comes in at $28 which considering location prestige and Boston prices sounds consistent with all other restaurants. Only difference is that it's just better. The octopus came in a bit skinnier than preferred but the slight char on the whole leg with the chewy tenderness of a fresh well cooked octopus made up for it. Unlike the style done in spanish restaurants, Krasi uses a tomato almost salsa like sauce to match the refreshing taste of the octopus. The one oddity was the mashed potatoes that come on the side. This comes in at ~$25 ish which is again on par with local offerings. The chickpea salad and burnt beet salad were very different in nature but actually very complimentary. The beet salad was a vinaigrette with the beets being incredibly soft almost fruit like. The presumably butter(?) leaf lettuce was incredibly fresh also probably handpicked. The chickpea salad had a lot of rich flavors going on. Hard to nail it down but the chickpeas were softened and soaked up the flavors for a bomb like mouth experience. Lastly the table side tzatziki helped reset the flavors, freshen up your tastebuds with the tartness from the dill and lemon juice. The quality of the ingredients stands above the rest cause you "could" DIY with ingredients around the corner at TJs but the freshness is not replicable. Ambience/Decor/Service: as good as this place is the location is small adding to its elusiveness but it allows for a much more personal quaint experience. Starting off with question after question to the waiter he happily answered and recommended a bottle of wine that was exquisite albeit pricey. The tableware and uniqueness of the plates don't go unnoticed. The colors and design place you somewhere along the beaches of Greece eating food perhaps from nearby island. Lastly the ambience definitely eschews date-night. This is the place for all things anniversary, dates, girls night out, etc. read more

I went here for a belated birthday dinner with my friend on a Monday night at 8:30pm. I had to make a reservation a couple weeks in advance for this time. The decor inside the restaurant is so elegant, and it was nice sitting at the bar watching the chefs cook in the open kitchen. We got the Xtenia (bay scallop crudo), Tiropita Rolls, Tzatziki, and Souvla. In hindsight, we should have gotten more substantive foods with fewer cards, but the rolls were amazingggg omg best part of the meal baby far. I really liked the play on flavors and the tanginess of the Xtenia, but my friend did not appreciate how small the portion was, which I thought was a fair criticism. I was underwhelmed by the Tzatziki made tableside and the Souvla, which was a bit underseasoned. But the Trigona we had for dessert was so fun! Our server did a great job explaining his favorites on the menu and even offered us birthday shots at the end of our meal. We had a fun time here at Krasi tonight! Our personable waiter, Jorge, was instrumental in the experience from guiding me to a wine based on my (very sweet) taste from there extensive Greek wine list to recommending the best dishes to accommodating special requests to going above and beyond to make things right when my husband didn't love his dish. The space is small; we made a reservation two weeks in advance but could only get bar seating. This turned out to be a great call because we got to watch them cook all of our food! The bar chairs do not have any back support, so they may not be comfortable for all. I have mild back pain and was ok for a couple of hours but a little sore after. We got the bread, pork souvla, red snapper and orange cake. The bread was delicious. The pork souvla was beautifully presented and so crispy and juicy. All of the flavors went very well together. My husband felt that the red snapper was good not great. The fish was cooked well, but the broth didn't have as much flavor as he would like. Jorge was a very good listener and made us feel heard. He brought out the orange cake, which was so light and sweet. The toasted coconut and ice cream really complemented the chilled cake. Having had orange cake before, this was our favorite so far. We left feeling very satisfied! read more

I had high expectations going in but each dish I tasted got worse. We started off with Tiropita rolls which were delicious and filled with halloumi cheese. The dip was delicious. We then got the Taramosalata dip. It came with four pieces of bread which isn't enough, and the bread was so crumbly and soft that it wasn't a good vessel to deliver dip to my mouth. The dip itself was ok. I felt like the lobster didn't go with the tarama since the lobster was so dense and the tarama was so light. Finally, we finished with a pork dish that was dry. The ambiance was very nice - the restaurant serves food in bowls that look handmade as each one looks different. The restaurant is beautifully decorated and the vibes are very nice. The service was quite slow as we had to wave down our waiter many times. read more

Walked-in for a decent dinner during my visit to Boston. This was a popular local Meditteranean restaurant and it really did not let me down! Its indoor had a similar design as Avec Chicago -- a narrow pathway, on the right were some table and on the left some bar seats with a view of their open kitchen. The light was dim, which created some mysterious feeling for me, making the dining experience more interesting. For food I ordered Kolokithias Anthi and a tiropita as starters. The first one was fried (breaded) squash blossom with some cheese filling and served on yogurt. The platting was amazing, the flavor was even better. It was my first time to have tiropita. Bascially it was a small bread filled with halloumi and something sweet. The shell tasted more like pita than European or American bread. Then I got the Bordeto as my entree. Basically fresh catch served with veggie and pilafi (Greek rice) and topped with tomato broth. The size was a bit small for me, but the taste was heavenly. The juicy fish meat went well with the spiced tomato broth. I also enjoyed the bouncy pilafi very much! Service was really quick and my server was polite and helpful. Beisdes, I was seated near the open kitchen so I was able to have a close look at how those professional stuff prepared the customers' (including mine) food. Overall a pleasant dining experience. Will come back if I visit Boston again! read more
