Had the following: - beef cheeks - octopus - patatas bravas - grilled shrimp - pan con tomate with anchovies - crab salad pintxos All of the plates were delicious! The pintxos were a bit small for the price, so those might be the only things I would pass on next time. The beef cheeks were delicious and reminded me of a common Korean braised beef dish, shrimp were grilled wonderfully, and octopus was cooked perfectly. The octopus comes with a lot of potatoes, so you end up with a lot of potatoes when combined with the patatas bravas. Would definitely recommend! read more

Low key, neighborhood hangout vibe. It was packed at 9:15pm on a Saturday. We arrived about 10-15 mins before our reservation time but were seated rather promptly. Everyone from the hostess to all the wait staff was lovely, friendly and seemed to genuinely enjoy working there. They acknowledged the note I included about celebrating a birthday which was a nice touch, most places completely ignore the reservation notes. Food was very tasty, we enjoyed everything we ordered. I will say that a couple of the dishes, the bacalao cheeks especially, weren't super elevated and were on the smaller side for tapas, so felt over priced. The basque cheesecake was perfection, super creamy and subtle in the best way. My husband who doesn't even like cheesecake liked it! The only complaint we had was how loud the place was, it was giving college bar with folks literally yelling to be heard. It was so loud I got a noise notification on my Apple Watch. Not what we expected and it really took away from the experience. I would suggest coming in on a different day and time for a more enjoyable experience. read more

Very lovely cozy interior, nice for a date but can get pretty loud. Food is solid, I'm not sure how close it is to authentic Basque food. We got the bravas (of course), the braised beef cheek, and the squid ink risotto. The bravas were nothing memorable, the beef cheek was incredibly tender (falls apart to the touch), and the risotto was very creamy but delicious. Kind of resembled very upscale Mac & cheese to me. Walked in once a couple months ago when they first opened and wasn't able to get a table. This time I made a reservation for Sunday lunch. It was really quiet and the restaurant less than 30% seated. We were told to order 2-3 items per person and the pintxos are one piece per order and not meant to be shared. We got the spicy spreadable sausage and grilled chorizo. Then the shrimp and beef cheeks. And ended with the squid ink risotto and sliders. Highlight was the beef cheeks, it was so tender and flavorful and the scallion oil really complemented the dish. First time visiting Zurito. Great atmosphere. We ordered a number of dishes including mini burgers, octopus, cuttlefish, beef cheek, mancheco & jamon, patatas bravas and the omelet, shishito peppers. The sizes of the app were small, surprisingly so. The prices were rather high for the amount of food. We (4 of us) ordered a pitcher of sangria - $56. I thought that was outrageous. The octopus had more potatoes than octopus and the cuttlefish was barely enough for one person to taste. The omelet was delicious but very small. The mini burgers & beef cheek were very good. Having said all that, we did enjoy ourselves. I don't know that we'll be back. With so many options in the area, I'd rather spend $350 somewhere else and leave feeling full read more

Everything was outstanding!!! I am half Spaniard and it was the closest restaurant that really cooks Spanish food to our flavors. Actually, I have not eaten Spanish food as good as this in the US---not even at the Jose Andres's restaurants. The service was superb and they accommodated my food allergies, which made me enjoy most of the selections I wanted. And, the highlight of the night was the Basque cheesecake (tarta vasca), simply delicious. Obie, the server, provided a SUPERB service and pleased us with all we wanted. The server was very knowledgeable and friendly - giving us great advice over what to choose and some of his personal favorites. Sat at the bar with 3 of us total and ordered drinks and a bunch of plates to share. I got the 50/cincuenta cocktail to start which was kinda like a savory martini and I LOVED it. The bartender explained each section of the menu so well to us so we know what was shareable and what was more individual servings. Finally got to try Zurito and I must say it has instantly become a new favorite. For starters, the service was amazing, with staff being incredibly accommodating with reservations and organization of birthday features for my party whose birthday we were celebrating. The restaurant also has a lovely intimate and lively vibe -- my favorite!! We grabbed bar seats and our bartender was phenomenal! Her recommendations were great, and our cocktails were so unique and lovely (mine was the gin cocktail with a splash of red wine, which I LOVED!) We tried quite a few dishes, including the patatas bravas, the octopus, the croissant iberico, cana de cabra, pan con tomate, squid ink risotto, and the shishito peppers and all were quite good! We had a tough time deciding what to eat on the menu because everything looked good but the waitress helped us out describing how big the dishes were etc. She also helped us pick some wines and even let us sample before pouring the entire glass. Hidden in beacon hill, Zurito is apparently the place to be on a Thursday night! We had a 8pm reservation and it was surprisngly packed and super lively, which gave it a fun atmosphere. It was my first time having Basque region food, and it did not disappoint - fans of tin fish and salty seafood will love it! We decided to share a few of the pintxos, and it should be noted that the portions are very small (servers are sure to point this out). My personal favorites were the Sobrassada Con Miel - a delicious spreadable sausage with a sweet spreadable honey on a baguette and the gildas - salty anchioves paired with olives and peppers. A fantastic place to meetup with friends for drinks and some snacks, and super unique as I personally have not seen many places serving basque region specific dishes. read more

The jamón was outstanding...this coming from someone who lived in Spain. It is made so the fat melts on your fingers and in your mouth. Just delicious! We didn't love the pulpo (octopus). We know it's REALLY HARD to do this right, but it was not good. We recently heard the squid ink risotto (or pasta, I forget which) is outstanding and we'll come back to try it. We're always on the lookout for new and creative places to eat in the area, and this place definitely qualifies! Pintxos are essentially the Basquetake on tapas - small plates that need several to make a meal. Pintxos are where Zurito really thrived. The wine was fine, the cocktails solid, the charcuterie good, and the plantxas interesting. But a good pintxo spotlights only a very few flavors and does it simply and exquisitely. Particularly liked the tomato bread, black and white anchovies, and tuna conserva. The service was possibly the best I've seen in months. We never ran out of water. Everyone was knowledgeable about both the food and beverage menus. When our table wobbled a little, someone got on the floor to stabilize it. Dishes came out fast, and vanished as soon as we were done. The only caveat I'd offer is that it was fairly noisy. If you're looking for quiet conversation, it might be hard here. read more
