I loved Krasi and will absolutely be back. We went for Symposium Wednesday, and it was my first time exploring Greek wines. The whites leaned a bit funky/natural for my taste, but I really enjoyed the reds. Standouts for me were the Magiatiko (amberjack crudo) and the Tiropita rolls. The Magiatiko was bright and fresh with beautiful acidity and herbs, while the Tiropita was pure comfort. Warm, buttery, and unbelievably soft with that perfect pillowy-dough texture and honey butter. We also ordered a charcuterie selection (Louza, Noumboulo, and Akrokolion: pork, wild boar, and lamb). Two servers described them differently, so I was never completely sure which was which, but everything was flavorful and nicely spiced. I usually love octopus, but the Xtapodomakaronada (braised octopus with pasta) wasn't my favorite. It was slightly fishy with a texture that didn't quite land for me. There are so many other dishes on the menu I want to try that I'd return in a heartbeat. Service was spectacular: attentive, warm, and genuinely friendly, with multiple team members seamlessly running food and checking in.

I love the interior deco and it's so cozy entering it each time. Prepare to wait for a bit if you don't have reservations. The orange wine was delicious and honestly can't go wrong with most of the menu items that I have tried over a few visits. Portions are small/decent size like tapas and some of the entrees are larger in portions but best to do family style. I tend to bring folks here from out of town cause it's so good and a crowd pleaser!

Great atmosphere. Awesome choices. Not many gluten free options at all. The homemade tzatziki is delicious as well as the cheeses.

My wife and I have been waiting to try Krasi so we took our daughter there for dinner while visiting Boston. To be fair, it is difficult for me to write a review for a Greek restaurant being brought up in a traditional Greek household. My parents both came to the US so I am a bit biased. My wife tried to talk me out of it but I wanted to see if the hype was real. We checked in and were sat at a charming table at the front of the restaurant. They had a nice bar area. The ambiance was cool and dark and pretty hip. Our server came and introduced himself. We ordered some wine and appetizers. The restaurant does not have a liquor license but does offer cordials like Ouzo. I don't understand it but if you want a cocktail, this isn't the place. The appetizers were good. We ordered Tzatziki made table side, some fresh rolls, some Kasseri cheese and some Lokaniko sausage. We were pretty happy at that point. However, things got shaky after this good start. Our server was virtually nonexistent. I had to ask another waiter for a 2nd glass of wine and some seasoning. Our entrees arrived. I got the rotisserie which was chicken, my daughter got Giouvetsi which is braised lamb with Orzo in a rich tomato sauce, and my wife got a pasta dish. They all looked good! However, my rotisserie chicken was pieces of dry chicken on a platter with some pita, potatoes, and overly ripe tomatoes on a platter. The potatoes had a really unusual aftertaste. My daughter's Giouvetsi was overcooked. They only gave us butter knives so it was impossible to cut into it. The sauce was not very flavorful. My wife's pasta was good. Value is not the greatest. My chicken dish was $36 dollars, and one glass of wine that my wife had was $19. I really was hoping for an authentic Greek restaurant in Boston but this isn't it. I hate to go against the Yelp rating. It is fine for people who have never had true authentic Greek dishes. It's like Midwest people flocking to Legal Seafood because they can get good fish at home. I believe a more accurate rating is 3.5 stars. I think 3 would have been unfair so I gave it 4. If you are out, give it a try for a glass of wine and an appetizer or two.

Such a cozy spot for dinner! Very intimate and inviting. For appetizer, we tried their Marouli salad, which I did not expect to have so much flavor. It was fresh, light, and every ingredient in there paired so well together. Probably one of the better salads I've had. For dinner, we had their Souvla, which was chicken this time. Honestly, maybe it was just us, but it did not quite hit the mark for us. They go by rotisserie of the day and that day we went was chicken. Perhaps other selections they had were probably better than the chicken we had that night. We did like the roasted potatoes with the roasted garlic yogurt in that dish, but everything else felt really bland. It came with pita bread which was perfect for dipping into other dishes. Speaking of dipping, we had was the Spetzofai, which I used the pita bread from the Souvla dish because this dish was amazing! It featured pork meatballs topped with caramelized onions and leeks and everything was balanced so well. So much flavor and spices and every bite was wonderful. Definitely the standout dish of the night. Overall had a lovely time!

Krasi, the name of the place I have passed several times near Hynes that I always wondered about. In December, I finally had a chance to try it and now I shall tell you my tale. First of all, booking for this place is insane even trying a month out. Luckily, I was able to snag a singular 7pm slot on a Monday at the bar. The restaurant has half bar seating and half small tables and feels like a long but tight halfway but in a good way! They were decked out for the holidays with ornaments hanging from the wall with wreaths and some gnome looking santas that frightened me a bit lol. Nice atmosphere and a good playlist that ends up fading to the back. You must absolutely get the triopita rolls and Portokalopita.... honestly was the best part. The rolls have that fresh bread aroma mixed with that sweetness from honey butter and the cheese inside. Honestly, 3 rolls was not enough. I have never tried an orange wine and enjoyed the one recommended to me by my server. He was really great and even gave us a shot on the house which was so complex in taste... I couldn't totally explain it. I really also enjoyed the bourdeto which was super red and apparently spicy but all i could taste were some spices lol. The tzatziki and giouvetsi were just alright to me. While the lamb was nice and easy to cut I felt like the sauce was lacking in flavor. After our shot, we dove into our dessert. On yelp reviews, all I saw were people mentioning this cake.. So I knew I had to get it. And let me tell you it was BUSSSSIn... so moist and orangey and paired so well with the ice cream. Seriously, just coming back here and getting wine, bread and dessert I would be satisfied. I left full from sharing 2 apps , 2 entrees and dessert and was surprised because I wasn't sure it was gonna be enough. While I do not think it lived up to the extremely high expectations this is definitely a nice spot to treat yourself on a special night and I would go again if I am prepared to spend a pretty penny. Wow wow wow wow wow Wow Uh Wow So came by with some friends from out of state for dinner Wow Wow The food ... Wow. We got a bit of everything. From bread to chickpea fritters to eggplant (my friends got seabass and lamb) wow. So insanely good. I can't even put into words how incredible everything was. The service was top tier. From an absolutely perfect wine recommendation to the clearing of dishes and being present yet not overbearing. I just.... Wow And inside was so classy yet not stuffy. Very cozy feel. I ... Wow Tl;Dr - Wow. Go here. Have amazing food. You're welcome. But make sure you make a reservation. I cannot wait to go back soon.

Came here on New Year. This place has a nice warm classy ambiance. The waiter gave us helpful recommendations. The dip was pretty good. We had some sort of pasta dish with octopus that I really liked. Less a fan of the short rib dish. My favorite dish was the tourbeto, which is fish in some warm stew. And dont forget dessert!

Came here for the Christmas vibes and to try something new! I don't always go out for Greek food (but I love and have tried many Greek dishes/flavors) and wanted to give this spot a try. Right when we walked in it was very cozy and inviting, the service was great and our waiter was super kind and knowledgeable. I tried I few things I had never tried before including a Greek spirit called Ouzo, it tasted like black licorice and I loveeee black licorice! Enjoyed everything we ate, but the tableside tzatziki was especially good. Would love to come back and try some more dishes.

Was really excited to try Krasi and have heard about how it can be a tough reservation to get- but unfortunately the food itself fell a bit short of our expectations. The ambience of the restaurant is lively and cozy and the service was also great, but the actual dishes were a bit lackluster and pricey. Tried the famous tiropita rolls and felt they were a bit heavy/oily, tableside tzatziki, xtapodi/octopus, and souvla. The dishes were okay, but felt that they were lacking some flavor/zest and I found myself wanting sauce to add some spice. Not sure if I would come back, but it is a cute spot for a date night or girls night! Food: 3/5 Price: 3/5 Service: 5/5 Ambience: 4/5

Feast of the gods. I did this incredible Krasi experience for my 30th birthday with a group of 9 friends. From start to finish, this was truly a foodies perfect night. The feast involves every dish on the menu, and is recommended for a group of 6-8 dinners. The table at the back of the restaurant is reserved for this experience, and the table itself is gorgeous with a little moss terrarium under the table and a semi-secluded environment from the rest of the restaurant. The process was easy, and they did a perfect job of handling the dietary restrictions in our group (no pork, severe anaphylactic peanut/tree nut allergy) with confidence and ease. They were easily able to replace dishes that we couldn't eat (ie pork dishes) with other equivalent dishes on the menu. The food came out quickly, and each dish was truly phenomenal. Some highlights were the divine Tiropita Rolls (we added a few orders of these so we could each eat a whole roll), Htipiti dip, Fruitosalata, Magiatiko, Garides (!!), and Giouvetsi. This was truly the most perfect birthday experience. Such a fun concept where every dish is shared, and you spend the night passing around plates and so much food. We were so stuffed as 9 people (6 girls 3 guys) so the amount of food is definitely more than enough! Must experience for any foodie!

Delicious Greek brunch at Krasi! We loved our meal and there were so many sweet and savory dishes to choose from. My favorites were the sweet Tsoureki (like a Greek French toast) and the Trahanas, a cracked wheat pasta with mushrooms. Loved the flavors and textures in the dishes and I would love to come back and try more dishes.

Love that they offer a gluten/dairy free edited menu. Super thoughtful and empowering

Drag brunch: what an uplifting, energized, delicious and delightful event. I am fully in love with the creative and loving atmosphere the Krasi team puts together for this event. Beyond incredible drink service (Koko Spritz all day!) to the carefully yet quick brunch bites (including a divine coconut pudding dessert) this event is everything. Absolutely counting down to the next Koko Drag Brunch, this is priceless, delicious, and so so energetic!

The restaurant was pretty dead, so we were expecting a relaxed, smooth experience. The prosciutto and cheeses were great -- but let's be honest, it's hard to mess that up. I asked the bartender about it, and he said it could be out in five minutes. I told him that if it was already on the way, we'd take it -- but if it hadn't been put in yet, that was fine and we didn't want it anymore. His response was basically, "If you want it, it'll be out in five minutes." No explanation, no acknowledgment of what happened, and no apology. It felt more like "do you want it or not?" rather than any ownership of the situation. In the end, I never got my food, and it just left a bad taste in my mouth. Not terrible, but definitely disappointing given how quiet it was. The food we did have was solid, but the lack of communication and basic apology knocked this down to two stars for me.

We have been there twice, and I now will put my brief review. The take-home: if Boston, Raffles, and Amar think they deserve a star, they really need to up their game. I will get one thing out of the way very quickly: the food is spectacular and the wine service was excellent; these are not the reason for my comment. The simple truth folks is that a dining experience is not JUST about the food. It's about ambiance--which includes service and atmosphere, and that is where Amar just falls apart. It would be wrong to not recognize that the individual servers were quite nice and attentive. We had an 830 pm seating--hardly late in most cities, though one might suggest that in Boston that is on the later side (it really isn't folks). Regardless, by 1030-11 pm, the dining room was nearly empty on a Saturday night. At that moment, a server came over to us to alert us the kitchen was closing--which was obviously them saying "get out"--but soon thereafter the smell of cleaning fluid filled the air, and we realized there was a person cleaning the tables--with a cleaning cart, complete with mops, brooms, and cleaning fluid in the middle of the dining room. While people were seated and eating. This is a restaurant with a pricey menu and wine list, and I cannot remember a time when dining in a fine restaurant when something like this EVER happened. We found it funny at first, but while trying to eat our dessert and drink our final cocktails the smell of ammonia really ruined the final experience. In the end, once served with the bill, it was not funny. The bill was around $1000 for 4 people including a nice bottle of wine. So: expensive, nice individual service, good food. But the lack of awareness about how diners paying for an expensive meal feel being rushed, and then the utterly ludicrous presence of a cleaning cart in the middle of the dining room while people were still eating (I posted a photo) makes Amar a laughable memory but nowhere I'd go back to.

The wine selection is excellent and thoughtfully curated -- whites, reds, bubbles, orange wines, and more, so there's truly something for every palate. My friend and I both ordered a red, and it was absolutely perfect. Our server was super friendly and attentive, and she even offered a few samples so we could try before committing to a full glass, which we really appreciated. For food, we shared the hot dog with fried oysters to pair with the wine, and it was surprisingly delicious and a fun, elevated bar bite. Overall, the experience was fantastic -- great wine, great service, and a comfortable atmosphere. Pricing is definitely on the higher end, with wine glasses around $20 and the hot dog at $14, but the quality and experience justify it. I'd absolutely come back for another wine night.

Unfortunately, this most recent visit didn't live up to the high standards I've come to expect. While a few dishes hit the mark, the majority of our order was a letdown: Tinned Octopus: Surprisingly chewy and lacked seasoning. Mushroom Toast: The texture was rubbery, and the flavor was completely drowned out by an aggressive amount of balsamic. Beets: Had a very overwhelming cumin flavor that threw the dish out of balance. Roast Beef Slider: Served cold and felt a bit uninspired. It's such a cute, intimate space, and I've had so many wonderful nights here in the past, but the execution was just off this time around. I'm hoping it was just an off night, but it was definitely disappointing given how much I usually love this place!

No, you only gain a clear picture of what a culture is all about when things go sideways, so you can see how everyone comes together to turn things around...or not. Several months ago, I had a less-than satisfactory evening at Grill 23 that was significantly disappointing, both for myself and for several associates who I had invited to celebrate a win. There's no need to dwell on the details, as the goal here is to look through the big piece of glass (the windshield) rather than through the small one (the rearview mirror). Suffice to say that I had no intention of returning and made that clear in written communication. What happened next belongs in a Harvard Business School case study titled "Turning it Around with Excellence." Within relatively short order, I was contacted by Johan Mola, Grill 23's Assistant General Manager. What an impressive young man, one who has clearly benefited from a top-notch upbringing, high-quality professional development and wisdom that he has accumulated through his own intelligence. Johan's communication exuded sincerity and empathy. He was a great listener who never once cut me off. He singlehandedly transformed my frame of mind from one that was slammed shut, to one that was open to giving Grill 23 another chance. It happened that when he reached out, I was in Asia for a month. Over that month, Johan periodically checked in via WhatsApp, just to reassure me that he had no intention of letting the matter go. He was masterful, but it was his authenticity above all that made him so. Fast forward to last night, when I returned to Grill 23 with my wife, hopeful but still apprehensive; I needn't have been. Johan greeted us at the door, effortlessly made us feel at ease, and escorted us to our table. During the meal, he checked in several times, always in an easy, unobtrusive way that just said "I'm here for you guys, whatever it is that you may need." The waiter assigned to us (Garrett) was fantastic, we couldn't have asked for a better person to take care of us. His service was seamless without ever feeling excessive, more like a hospitable friend serving us an incredible dinner at his home. We were also visited by the Director of Operations, Gary Tummings. He made us feel valued and special, it was appreciated. All in all, this was one of the more enjoyable restaurant experiences we've ever had. Of course, the food must be mentioned, because it was flawless! We started with a dozen Cape Cod oysters, the Foie Gras and the Beet Salad, all impeccably presented and delicious. We then welcomed the restaurants two signature steaks, the Porterhouse and the Tomahawk. Both were cooked to perfection (medium rare) and the flavor of each cut was nothing short of world class. The sides (carrots, asparagus and French fries) were all excellent as well, both in preparation and presentation. For dessert we had the coconut cake, which was mouthwatering, and a portion so generous that we had enough for seconds the next day. In short, the fare that we experienced last night was on another level...we absolutely will be back soon. I want to once again thank Assistant General Manager Johan Mola for everything he did to "right the ship" and to provide us with a truly memorable evening. All's well that ends well. Finally, I want to give a shoutout to Philip, the parking valet for the restaurant. We had talked prior and following the first experience and he immediately recognized me over two months later. What sets him apart is that he obviously cares deeply about the restaurant that he works for and the patrons who dine there. A really great, genuine human...I'm grateful for his concern, and my wife appreciated him keeping her dry under an umbrella on a raw and nasty night, all the way to our vehicle! Thank you to all, DC

The Rigatoni Alla Vodka was one of the best things I have eaten in Boston -- rich, perfectly balanced, plated with genuine care. The mushroom ravioli special was extraordinary. But what I keep coming back to is the service: our server knew every dish, every wine, and somehow managed to be present every time we needed something and invisible every time we didn't. The wine education cards are a stroke of genius -- I kept mine. If you haven't been to Piattini, you're missing one of this city's best dining experiences. And if you have been, you already know.

They have a great outdoor seating area right on Newbury Street that is perfect for people-watching. Inside, the space is divided into these unique, eclectic nooks. Whether you want to feel right at home or celebrate in their stunning vine-draped dining room (the ceiling is amazing!), the vibe is spot-on. I stopped in on a Wednesday, so it wasn't too busy, and I sat right at the bar. The bartender was fantastic--super attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely friendly. I ordered a wine flight, and they gave me these adorable little informational cards detailing the region and tasting notes for every unique bottle I tried. It was such a cute, elevated touch that made the experience feel special! The food came out in a very timely fashion, but unfortunately, it was the weak point of the visit. I started with the bruschetta, hoping for the best, but it was incredibly under-seasoned. The cherry tomatoes were left whole, which meant I was chewing on tomato skins for far too long, and the juices immediately made the middle of the toast completely soggy. Next came the pasta. I truly appreciated that the kitchen can customize anything you want even vegan style. On the plus side, the food arrives piping hot, and the portion size was wonderful! However, just like the appetizer, it was seriously lacking flavor. I had to add as much salt and pepper as I possibly could just to make it worth my while. Ultimately, the overall experience was the best part of the deal--from the gorgeous views to the wonderful wine flight and the stellar service. But as for the meal itself... in the historic Boston Italian vs. Irish rivalry, I think the Irish might have won this round! #Enjoygoodpeople
