Recently stopped in with a reservation for 2 on a Friday night and had a blast. Absolutely loved the vibes, music, and staff was super kind and helpful for guiding me to find something I'd love. It is a tiny tiny place with a bar, window seating, and a couple of tables so would definitely recommend a reservation. The wine selection was great, and while overall very pricey I did absolutely appreciate that you could get any bottle on the menu as a half bottle for half the price! We didn't try the food but will be back to check it out!

A true hidden gem! Came here for wine and snacks with a friend. Place is small so consider making a reservation. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable, they made great recommendations for us. A pricy night out but so worth it.

What a hidden gem! I stopped by without a Rez on Sat at prime time and they managed to visit us in. The vibe is unreal. Super friendly people and great music. The wine is delicious - so many options. I had a really great Lambrusco that wasn't too sweet and had the right amount of bubbles. The food was delicious. We made our own char board and paired it with ricotta toast and deviled eggs. Check out my pics! Cannot wait to come back!

Absolutely love it here. A great place to try new wines and enjoy delicious snacks. My sister and I are obsessed with the deviled eggs and we literally had 3 orders. The service is so friendly and accommodating. I am gluten free celiac and have been here a few times and have never ever gotten sick from gluten here. I always get a charcuterie board with a bag of their potato chips, the deviled eggs are a must, house pickles are so tasty, and the summer sautéed corn is so flavorful. Thank you to the staff for putting a birthday candle in my sister's bday order of deviled eggs. We got an absolute kick out of that and it was so thoughtful! I hope to be back very soon to enjoy the great wine, food, and environment!

Came here, party of 4 for 3pm on a Wednesday Only two 4 tops , and no one else was there, felt exclusive. Came for the tin seafood and left super Happy. Got a great wine and some fantastic seafood options -- octopus, smoked mussels,

I have overall positive opinions about this wine bar - there's a wide variety of wines, and I did end up finding a handful of reds I enjoyed, but the staff comes off a bit pretentious. When picking a wine, we'd tell our server what types of wine we generally gravitate towards (dry vs sweet vs fruity vs rich, etc.) and every time they came back with a recommendation, it was very off. Honestly, I'd feel guilty tasting too many, where I just lied and said I liked a wine just to stop rejecting the samples lol. There were times I went with the menu description and was happy with my order. One time we got an app that seemed very clever - canned oysters on a potato chip, but they served it with butter. When I asked why the butter, when the potato chip was oily enough, they said because of 'merica. Funny! But also, the butter was not needed. I think it was a homemade butter, so they wanted to showcase their ingredients, but it seemed random. I think it's a cool atmosphere and a cool concept, but for the price, I think the menu could be more thoughtful. All that said, I would come back again!

Loved the vibe in here! Pretty small but I loved the rap music and decor. The food was quirky but overall tasty. I'd say you need to be adventurous! The service was great and everyone was knowledgeable about the wine without being judgy. I will be back!

I came here on a Friday night with a reservation for two people. We sat at the bar, and it was a great spot to watch everything be made and served. The bartenders offered multiple suggestions after telling them what we liked in wines. We learned that their wine menu changes every day, and they print out their menus every day. My favorite was one of their orange wines that tasted very fresh and was recommended to me. Inside isn't too big, but it was busy on a Friday night with people coming in and out. It was decorated with lights, maybe for the holidays, but still it was very pretty. If you like wine, this is definitely a great wine bar to check out.

I'd been wanting to try haley.henry for a while and was thrilled when they were open for Saturday lunch. This wine bar is tiny, with a small bar, some counter seating facing the street, and two four-tops. My experience here was excellent--everything was delicious and service was fantastic. haley.henry focuses on wine and conservas, with nods to hip-hop sprinkled throughout. So obviously I'm going to love a place with menu sections called "bone thugs & charcuterie" and "biggie smalls plates". After speaking with my wine slinger/server, I opted for the wine flight, which they had actually developed. It had interesting wines and I loved each of them. For food, I went for a cheese plate and the hamachi crudo. Both were insanely good and maybe my favorite version of each that I've ever had. If looking for unique wines, great food, and a fun experience, I highly recommend haley.henry when in Boston.

Haley.Henry Wine Bar was put on my radar because it was nominated by the James Beard Foundation for its wine program. I went at 4p on a Friday (after work) and it wasn't terribly busy. It's located on a quiet street and has indoor/outdoor seating. I asked my server what wines she recommended, and she brought me three that she was enjoying (a white, rosé, and orange). I ordered a white to go along with my deviled eggs. I appreciated the server's knowledge on both the food and wine menu and was able to provide suggestions on what I was thinking of ordering. The plan had originally been to only stay for a glass of wine and a light app, but was enjoying the vibe, food, and wine that I decided to stay for a very early dinner. I also ordered Muva's beef sliders. With a new wine pairing I ordered the ceviche (that later complimented my desert of the key lime panna cotta and honey combe). I would recommend Haley.Henry, and will be back for either wine or wine and dinner. Really enjoyed the wine, food, and knowledgeable server.

I had been to nathalie (haley.henry's sister restaurant) and enjoyed it but this was an even better experience! Walking in you can feel the similarities between the two but Haley.henry feels more down to earth and less pretentious. As a self proclaimed ignoramus of wine, the single spaced page that constitutes their wine menu is certainly overwhelming but the staff can do an excellent job of pointing out stand out wines. We tried a half bottle of a sparkling red and a couple of "by the glasses" by staff recommendation - all of which were delicious and fit our plates well. The deviled eggs were also very good, but their food menu is definitely a little pricey. My friend and I were here for a solid few hours (on a Thursday night without a reservation) and while there was a steady flow of people around us, we never felt rushed and always felt attended to!

Absolutely adore how intimate cozy and ups ale while slightly casual this place feels. The wine list is phenomenal and the cheeses I had were delicious. The open kitchen is a lovely touch and everyone working was wonderful. I will say definitely make a reservation. Squeezing me in at 5 on a Wednesday as just one with no res was tough but they were very warm and accommodating and even helped me pick a seat that would let me stay the longest without being reserved by someone else which is so thoughtful! I do wish the food menu wasn't a QR code but the wine menu is printed. I just am a QR code hater but it's all great. I'd be excited to have the tinned fish next time bc I am a tin girlie through and through.

This is my favorite spot in Boston at the moment. Came twice..first time over the summer with a friend before a concert. The fact that there is a handful of good, N/A wines available made me happy! It was really fun to have a rosé toast with my friend even though I don't drink anymore. We had a handful of bites, deviled eggs, I think crudo (this was the star) and a charcuterie board. Everything was pretty, thoughtfully made and delicious. I came again during Christmas time solo on a shopping day, and enjoyed Weiner Wednesday- I can't remember exactly what my combo was.. but it was scrumptious and the brioche bun was so fresh and the perfect Weiner vehicle. It's a small spot, you should make a res even for the bar, but if you love seafood and/or wine, you need to be here. Cool inside too, good music and great, knowledgeable staff.

We walked into a warm, energetic space with dim lighting, an open dining room, and a constant buzz that makes it a great choice for a night out with friends or a date. The restaurant has a vibrant, social energy that encourages sharing and exploration, and the open layout adds to the sense of activity without feeling chaotic. Rather than ordering individual entrées, the experience is centered around sharing a variety of dishes, making each visit feel a little different depending on what you choose. The tapas are the highlight of the menu, with plenty of options that encourage trying a little bit of everything. The bacon-wrapped dates are one of the signature dishes, balancing sweet and savory flavors, while the patatas bravas, croquettes, and charcuterie boards are reliable choices to start the meal. If you are looking for something more substantial, the seafood paella and squid ink pasta stand out as excellent main dishes, offering rich flavors and generous portions that are easy to split between two or more people. The olive oil cake is also worth saving room for if you want to end the meal with dessert, and the overall progression of the meal works well with the tapas format. The drink menu is just as impressive as the food. Wine is the main focus, with an extensive list featuring Spanish and international selections, but the sangria and cocktails are equally popular. It is the kind of place where you can easily spend a couple of hours sharing plates while working your way through a few different drinks, and the beverage program is thoughtfully curated to match the style of the food. Service is one of the restaurant's strongest points. The staff are knowledgeable about both the menu and wine list, and dishes arrive steadily throughout the meal instead of all at once, creating a relaxed dining pace. The pacing allowed us to enjoy each dish without feeling rushed, and the team checked in at the right moments without hovering. The restaurant is consistently busy, especially on weekends, so reservations are highly recommended. Even with a reservation, there can occasionally be a short wait, and the lively atmosphere means the dining room can get quite loud during peak hours. The energy of the room is part of what makes the experience work, but it is worth keeping in mind if you are looking for a quieter dinner. Barcelona Wine Bar is one of the best places in Boston for Spanish-inspired tapas and wine. The combination of flavorful shareable dishes, a well-curated drink menu, attentive service, and vibrant atmosphere makes it an easy choice for group dinners, celebrations, or date nights. It offers a meal that feels both communal and polished, with a setting that encourages slowing down and enjoying the evening. Just be prepared for the energetic environment and plan ahead if you are visiting during the busiest times.

The tea selection is thoughtfully curated, featuring high-quality blends that range from classic black and green teas to more delicate herbal options. People recently wondered why Boston got nearly entirely shut out by the Michelin people (only 1…read moreone-star was given); among the places that were said to be in the running was Amar, located in a lovely space in the Raffles Hotel. We have been there twice, and I now will put my brief review. The take-home: if Boston, Raffles, and Amar think they deserve a star, they really need to up their game. I will get one thing out of the way very quickly: the food is spectacular and the wine service was excellent; these are not the reason for my comment. The simple truth folks is that a dining experience is not JUST about the food. It's about ambiance--which includes service and atmosphere, and that is where Amar just falls apart. It would be wrong to not recognize that the individual servers were quite nice and attentive. We had an 830 pm seating--hardly late in most cities, though one might suggest that in Boston that is on the later side (it really isn't folks). Regardless, by 1030-11 pm, the dining room was nearly empty on a Saturday night. At that moment, a server came over to us to alert us the kitchen was closing--which was obviously them saying "get out"--but soon thereafter the smell of cleaning fluid filled the air, and we realized there was a person cleaning the tables--with a cleaning cart, complete with mops, brooms, and cleaning fluid in the middle of the dining room. While people were seated and eating. This is a restaurant with a pricey menu and wine list, and I cannot remember a time when dining in a fine restaurant when something like this EVER happened. We found it funny at first, but while trying to eat our dessert and drink our final cocktails the smell of ammonia really ruined the final experience. In the end, once served with the bill, it was not funny. The bill was around $1000 for 4 people including a nice bottle of wine. So: expensive, nice individual service, good food. But the lack of awareness about how diners paying for an expensive meal feel being rushed, and then the utterly ludicrous presence of a cleaning cart in the middle of the dining room while people were still eating (I posted a photo) makes Amar a laughable memory but nowhere I'd go back to.
