A really nice addition to the foodcourt at Tucson Mall. We ordered both the Beef & Chicken gyros, an order of fries & a slice of baklava . The chicken gyro was good & the Beef gyro was amazing! The baklava was quite good. Skip the fries....they had no salt & could have stayed in the fryer a bit longer. The service was a little slow. It took 15 to get our food....not that bad unless you are on a break & have to get back to work! To be fair, they are new & I am sure they are still working out the kinks. read more

Have you ever craved a specific food for days and then finally give in and order it? Well that's what happened to me today. I'm from Birmingham, where there is a huge Greek culture. I grew up eating it. Went to the Greek food festivals. Learned how to make it because I loved it so much. I can make falafel but it's so much easier to just order it. All week I've craved a falafel wrap. Falafel wrapped in fresh warm pita with lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers, red onions, tahini sauce, and pickles. I thought that's what I was ordering tonight from Kebab King. What I got were three falafel balls thrown into store bought pita bread. I thought I'd give Kebab King a try since the other place near me isn't very authentic or good. This was pretty terrible. It was like chewing rubber. I keep pickles and tahini on hand so I added that myself, which made it better but still was not worth the $10 I paid for this and the unseasoned French fries. I will give them credit where credit is due. The baba ghanouge is delicious. It's smoky and flavorful. Just right. Unfortunately I have a big container and one piece of the rubber tire store bought pita. Hopefully I can buy some pita tomorrow to enjoy the rest of my meal. read more

Got a couple of meals to go. It was not busy but as we are ordering the folks behind the counter ignored us and paid attention to a couple who just came. Not sure if they thought we are guaranteed customers and it is time to get other customers or he thought we were slow in ordering so e decided to let others ahead of us. The food overall was good, a bit better than what you would typically expect from a mall food court. We also did not find one of the items that we ordered (the eggplant). Finally, I think this place has a Turkish influence that I wish they can focus on (if it is really Turkish cuisine, name it doner not gyro, etc.) I do my think many think that consider Greek cuisine to be middle eastern any way. read more

My daughter and I have been dying for some good Middle Eastern food and we found it! This little place in the Tucson Mall is wonderful. We ordered a Beef Salad, a Greek Salad and a Veggie Samosa. The salads were tasty and fresh. The meat in the salad was wonderfully tasty and well cooked. The Veggie Samosa was light and flaky and had a scrumptious taste. We will definitely be going back. The only thing I can really criticize is the Tiziki sauce. It didn't have much flavor and was very thin. Other than that, this place is wonderful. I love this Restaurant! It was a surprise to find a place of this quality & selection of Mediterranean dishes in a Mall. The service was fast & friendly and Hussein took the time to point out some of the culinary details his restaurant uses in the food preparation, as we both cook, are foodies and really like Mediterranean/Greek dishes. We had the Eggplant with Gyro, tabbouleh, falafel some other goodies, just to sample the menu and share. I was raised on Eggplant - in the Italian traditions, but I've never tasted it prepared this way. The Tzatziki is some of the best we've ever tried. I came across this place by accident while waiting for my wife to meet me at the food court. I was handed a sample of the beef in their gyros. It was well-seasoned and so tender that I felt compelled to order the medium beef gyro on pita bread. It was only $4.99. I also tried the 3 piece falafel, which was $2.99! Both were delicious. So how do I give five stars for an eatery in a Tucson Mall food court? Simply, the quality of the food. I ordered catered food for a Mother's Day gathering. The owner was very responsive and helpful in taking our order. The beef gyro was excellent, nice flavors and not greasy as well as the chicken shawarma. Some of our family members were doing keto diets and they loved it, they put it on a salad we also bought from them. The Kibbe were also excellent. Very often at other places they are dry or too salty. These were the best I can remember having. And who would of thought samosas would be from a Mediterranean restaurant. Our daughter surprisingly said they were the best she's had. The hummus was great, smooth with just the right amount of tahini in it. The babaganoush also excellent, flavored nicely with just a touch of smoky flavor. The pickled cabbage salad was well received by our family. Mediterranean or middle eastern cuisine has regional signatures and I have had the opportunity to try several different types. Kebab King is amongst the top of the list. read more

The Location: Inside of Tucson Mall located in the food court area The Food: Middle Eastern/Greek Would I go back: Yes The Skinny: Flavorful food with a moderate price, "ok" portions but could use work on transparency on drink refills and more difference between drink sizes. What did I like: I liked the flavor of the food as it was very Middle Eastern more than it was Greek. -You could tell from their Tzatziki Sauce (cucumber sauce) that is quite a bit more Dill than most Greek establishments. -The rice had flavor of the Middle East and everything seemed fresh What I did not like: -I did not like that the price really didn't justify the portion. The fact that it was $8.99 for this size and that for the "jumbo" you would pay almost double rather than just an additional fee. Not saying I don't want to spend the money but their location is in a mall food court so you should at least be comparable to the price of other establishments rather than out of their league price wise. - Minor things I did not like was the fact that I believe their Diet Coke was not "Diet coke" but rather Coke Zero. You could definitely taste the difference. I hope that they do not accidentally mix it with regular coke as this would be detrimental to a diabetic. - I was not fond of was that the "large" drink was not much bigger than that of the medium size. Been here twice now. Good, clean food considering the establishment. It's owned by the same people who own Babyl Grocery and Mediterranean Kitchen down on Speedway. Given that the food is provided for a mall atmosphere, it's much better than I'd usually expected. The price-to-portion ratio is off, as someone previously noted. Either reduce your prices or increase your portion sizes. However, because I like the owners and visit their other place often, I continue to buy from them.
