Went to this dealership in June 2024, bought a use vehicle and i still haven't receive my plates. I called multiple times and they ask me every time to leave my number that they'll call me back and big surprise they never do. And the one time they actually called me back I asked them to give me another temperature plates but they told me I have to do them my self, reason being is because they were trying to avoid a fine. So I went to do it my self trying to help them out. The financial manager told me they will reimburse me what I pay for , I went and left my receipt and it's been a month and still haven't received a dime, just fined out I can put a complaint on the dealership so that's my next step. ZERO STARS Anything but a 1 or 2 star review was likely purchased! This stealer is STILL a swamp of scum and lies. Recently purchased an older Honda Odyssey for a fair price (compared to Edmunds) Though they did have it about $2-3k higher at first. It was lowered when we told them what we needed for a monthly payment (they removed the dealer garbage add-ons that are completely irrelevant like the clear coat protectant and KAHU thing...). Then once in the finance office the lies were palpable. I told my wife that we did not need the extended warranty since it is a notoriously BAD financial product. They are difficult to collect on, you have to pay up front, and they may not reimburse you because why something went wrong is at the warranty company's discretion. THEN, we were told by the finance person when asked why there was an extended warranty on the paperwork that QUOTE, "It is a condition of the finance company to purchase the vehicle". His reasoning seemed snakey but made some sense, and I was signing on an iPad so I was presented with a signature line and not shown the actual text of what I was signing, and like an idiot I signed. The van also smelled like smokers had owned it previously (though it wasn't very strong), they told us that they would get rid of the smoke smell with an ozone treatment (which they didn't do and if they did, IT DOESN'T WORK GUYS). I felt the two front struts needed to be replaced (they were rattling distinctly and they still are). I wasn't allowed to take the car out on the road to test drive ( I know they can throw a dealer plate on there and it's fine). When we picked up the car after 4 days or so, it still smelled maybe a little more since it was in the sun that day. I asked for a list of work that was done on the car for our records and they gave me a list of random things, some of which made no sense at all, like "Installed Window Tint" on windows that already were tinted, "Key Cutting" which we were given the original valet key and a non-original fob that was missing a button and held together with tape... (classy guys...) and a $700 """"Detail"""" job which had to be one of the worst I'd seen (dust everywhere, gunk still on the radio buttons, crumbs on the sizable dashboard, dirty headliner, etc...). We also got a 1-year state inspection sticker, which is odd since the catalytic converter caused a trouble code no less than 5 days into owning the car. That type of issue doesn't typically happen overnight, so maybe there was some poking of another tailpipe for emissions testing (who knows with this bunch). And even when the engine light is out (without erasing the code) it's still stored as a permanent code. The wheels are also out of alignment (pulls right), both cv axles are shot... tires weren't rotated, leaks oil on driveway, wipers were old and broken... rotors are warped... STELLAR service guys... #slowclap Again these are issues that DO NOT happen overnight and should have been corrected during the I guess 1 point inspection they do here. Once we found out about the catalytic converter issue, we took it back to the stealership to see if the warranty covered that part since they can be expensive, and of course it didn't... not only that, they told us that the warranty wasn't active until 20-30 days AFTER purchase and that the car had to be "intact" when it went active... Then we asked to see the warranty paper work and immediately noticed in big bold letters, "The purchase of a service contract is not required in order to purchase, register or obtain financing for any vehicle". When confronted about this statement finance person said "I never said that". Then it got a bit heated. (small update: apparently finance person still works there because this process I'm describing is their standard operating procedure...) At this time, the mud bug fed general manager, a man who literally calls himself "brilliant", asked what I wanted to do. To be clear, I truly like the car, but I had no desire to be lied to or deceived. I asked to refund the extended warranty and get an ACTUAL account of what was done to the car while in service. When I checked on the status of the warranty refund after the 4-6 week processing time, there was no movement and the warranty was still active. I had to call the actual administrator of the warranty to get it cancelled! Just another DEEPLY flawed stealership... STAY AWAY!!!! and I DONT need a response from you "manager". Just go finish off selling your soul and hope you don't blow another transmission in your Chevy mid life crisis mobile... read more

Don't bother with this place if your warranty is expired. I scheduled an appointment online to have a simple AC check. At first I was glad that they simplified the service appointment system online, but after driving 30 minutes in the heat to this location, the workers were not aware of any appointment. They suggested I leave the car at the location since they are 4-5 days behind schedule for some reason. I asked how can I get a loaner vehicle, but apparently there were none available. Would've been nice to know all this good information before wasting my gas and my time to drive to the location. read more

The dealership looks cleaner compared to its past as a Lithia Associate. When I purchased parts from the parts department, the wait is atrocious. I waited fifteen minutes before someone came to the counter. The salesperson apologized for the wait. However, please be careful if you purchase vehicles from the dealership. The dealership has a bunch of foreclosed and repossessed autos. The dealership faces an uncertain future. Lots of one star reviews here..I wonder why..??? We bought a car here and they said it was like new and had passed their 72 point check inspection ect... Paid nearly 30 grand... Found out later the AC evaporator has a leak and only holds a charge for a month or so... Bottom line..repair cost is 3500 dollars... No way they didn't know about it... They also rigged the sales contract to swallow up a 2 thousand dollar down payment..we spent hours haggling with them..with a credit score of 836 we had calculated our payments at near prime rate and the 2k down payment was originally meant offset the cost of a warranty..we had an 9 am appt and didn't finish there till nearly 7 pm..they didn't even print the final numbers we agreed to on the final contract and we returned the next day to confront them..in the end the best we could get them to do was they renegotiated the interest rate, which was inflated to begin with, and that lowered the monthly payments by 1800 over the length of the loan and we ended up with no warranty...for the life of me I don't know how I didn't walk away after an hour of their treachery..they play the nice guy tough guy routine and in the end smile in your face and shake your hand all the while knowing they screwed you... Our experience is less than one star...318 one star reviews posted here out of 458...I wish I had checked before dealing with them.. I WILL NEVER GO TO THIS PLACE AGAIN!!! AVOID IF YOU CAN!! 9/16/2024, I pulled in the express service garage to be serviced just for an oil change. I sat in the line waiting 25 mins only to be skipped over twice. The 1st skip over was by an Caucasian male whom went to the car behind me which happen to be a Caucasian woman. The adviser walked by my car and said give me one sec and continued to service the patron that was after me. I waited patiently, then another advisor came out and took the car that just had pulled in. I was being ignored as if I wasn't there. This is when I said something, requesting a manager. When I got inside, I asked for a manager, but was met with rude, condescending behavior by an advisor named Mason. As I requesting the manager, I am expressing this is sad as often as visit, Mason proceeds to keep mumbling stuff and I asked what was that, he says "I am not worried at about anything" I stated so you clearly don't care about your job, Mason proceeded to be condescending. Mason behavior was completely unacceptable. I then asked for the manager John. Johns comes over, I explain to him what had occurred, instead of him trying to fix it right away, he wanted to debate what time I arrived. I know what time I arrived as I was on a call/meeting, so I am certain what time It was. He then proceeds to tell me what you want to do. I asked how long the wait was, he said 5pm we should have you out. I didn't leave there until 6:15pm! That wasn't the worst part. The worst part was me paying for the services only to not have the advisor walk you through what was wrong with your car if at all. I was never advised of any issues that may precede me in the future. When asked about the different information from my last visit to this one. This could not be explained. I had gotten fed up with that point as this is a safety hazard and RISK, I am taking as I am trusting their call on what they tell me. I will NEVER visit this place again. Only how I was able to get a refund is I bullet pointed each of their failures to the point where the manager had to come and give a refund. It was never offered. No one ever tried to make it right. It was a shit show to be honest. But y'all can check my record been coming here for years! I am NEVER going back. Yall lost a good customer, and I am going to share everywhere that allows because NO ONE deserves to be treated this way! I will be reaching out to corporate as well! I purchased a used car from Adham who was very responsive during the puchase, he was very pleasant to work with. If I were just rating him I would give him 10 stars. If I was just rating the dealership I would probably rate between 1-3 stars. The one great thing about this dealership was they gave me the maximum trade in value for my car, which was nice. I had to wait hours for finance after reitterating several times I needed to get home to my special needs daughter, then while in finance their systems were up and down had to wait and wait and wait. I was told I would be given a USB of my contract and stopped by to pick it up, I was advised finance was too busy even after giving a 2 hour heads up notice. I was told it would just be emailed to me. By the time I left the dealership from my purchase it was 10:30 pm. on a Friday night, I was preoccupied with wanting to get home to my daughter that I did not notice a hairline fracture/crack in the windshield, It was not noticed till Sunday (dealership was closed) I texted Adham immediately, and contacted a manager Daniel the next day. Daniel gave me the salesman speech about how it was my fault for not noticing and for signing the "as is" paperwork. Daniel had told me to come in and he would take a look at it, when I got there Adham just told me it was cosemetic and not a big deal, Daniel never came out or called me to follow up. I have purhcased several cars from different dealerships, this is one where I did not feel appreciated or valued as a customer. Once the sale was done they were done with me. We bought our third Honda, not only because they are good cars, but also our experiences with the service centers have always been positive, where the service center reps don't usually jerk us around. For Honda Cars of Katy, I am not going to say anything negative about the service rep at the express center, because it seemed to be out of his control. But when we bought our car from Honda Cars of Katy back in the fall of 2019, part of the deal was that we got free oil changes for the life of the car. It is what helped us decide whether to buy the car from this dealer, or another Honda dealer, that was closer to where we live. The first oil change, no problem. Everything was in the system, and the oil change was free. The second time, during the pandemic, I was told that the dealer was under new management, therefore the free oil changes did not apply any more. I complained to the service manager and he put me on the preferred, or loyal, customer list, again in the system, so that the next time I go back, there shouldn't be any issues. Just look it up in the system. So today, I just went in and told the service rep about the deal and after he looked it up in the system, he stated that the manager I talked to the last time was no longer with that dealer. Therefore the only thing he could give me was a discount. I should have left right there and then, but again, it's not the service rep's problem. Why is it, that when a deal is made, and the person that made the deal leaves that location, the deal is gone? This is wrong. I know we are going through tough times with supply shortages and such, but a deal is a deal. And the consumer is going through a tough time as well. Since there is no reason to stay at Honda Cars of Katy, for a deal that is no longer honored, I will take my service requests to another Honda dealer that is closer to where I live. read more

Terrible service. No, worst than terrible. Found a car online. Called to get availability and details. They then added about $2k to the price for misc dealer fees. They then agreed to remove the fees if I gave a deposit that day. They then came back and said they couldn't do a deposit on that car due to high demand and that I need to make payment in full that day since I live out of town. I told them to keep the car. 30 seconds later they texted me to say they could now do the deposit. I gave the deposit and requested final numbers to close the deal. 7 hours later they called to ask me to complete a credit app. I told them I don't need a loan but I need the numbers so when I drive for 4 hours to get there I know what to expect. I still haven't received the numbers. Not sure if they are even a real dealership. Nobody answers the phones. All you get is text messages and dead ends. Good luck with these clowns. Continued.. they got me the purchase order late that day. The next day, I got my funds and headed to Houston. About 4:00pm they sent me a message detailing what type funds I needed. Luckily, I had the correct funds. Got to the dealership the next morning. All went good except that the tires were worn below the wear bars. The car had no inspection sticker so I asked about one. They said they couldn't sell the car if the tires didn't pass inspection and that their in house inspector would give me a sticker. I asked if we could go across the street to get a state certified inspection company to issue the inspection sticker. I offered to pay for it. They said no. Said their in house inspector passed the tires and I didn't have to buy the car if I didn't want it. This was a problem because I needed to get a new inspection sticker in Louisiana and I knew it wouldn't pass. I called BMW (the car is a used BMW) to get a price on tires. They were $2k to replace. We asked them to split the cost. They refused. We walked away and drove home without a new car. These guys are shady. Do your due diligence with these guys. The car was purchased on Friday 10/20/2023. Honda Cars of Katy. I want to express the process, professionalism, and customer satisfaction from day one till now has been very unsatisfactory. Tony acted as if he was put out in the whole process, from initial test drive to final deal. Fernado was very unprofessional, he lied stating the fender was replaced, he continually made excuses when asked about workmanship of the repairs and insulted me when he stated I should have bought a new vehicle. The ball was dropped the behalf of Honda Cars of Katy. After the initial drop off the vehicle three attempts were made to remedy the situation and yet its still unfinished. The vehicle will be taken to another Honda location for repair. Stay away from this dealership. There has been zero return calls, text or communication. read more

Needed an oil change and was in line at 645am, second person here and 1st in one of the 2 lines. (They open at 7am.) Hoping to be in and out as advertised by the "express" in the name. I checked in at the front desk after about 2 hours looking for an update and was told it shouldn't be much longer. (Ummm OK... ) Her version of "too much longer" took another 25 minutes before I saw my vehicle pulled around front so went to the front desk again. The gentleman found the ticket and asked if a tech walked me thru the suggested repairs and I said no but I wasn't waiting any longer. No time to share my thoughts on a $95 oil change so paid and left. Oil change places are on every other corner, and I'm sure much more focused on communication and customer service. And I highly doubt their oil change would take 2+ hours and $95. Spend your money anywhere else but here. read more

I normally have no issues with this location using the express service. But, today for some reason it took longer then I expected. When I arrived I thought I would be out within an hour. Since it was only two people in the waiting. Also, I went in for an oil change and to have my tires rotated. Within 15 minutes another gentleman came in to have his vehicle serviced. So, the guy that came in after me his service work was completed and he was out the door. Meanwhile, I set there looking puzzled as how did he get faster service than me. It took at least an additional 15 minutes before my Service work was completed. The other issue I had was when I got home I checked my oil gauge and it showed I still needed an oil change. So, it left me wondering if my oil was changed or not!!! By far I was not a happy camper at the end of my service visit this day. I would not recommend ANYONE purchase a vehicle or do business at Honda Cars of Katy. They do not honor their contractual agreements. I purchased a brand new Honda Civic EX-L for $35,000 here in 2015 that came with lifetime free oil changes. Since then, I have completed 100% of my required service here (except tires). However, Honda Cars of Katy has decided to no longer honor this contractually negotiated service, claiming they "sold" the business. They gave me NO notice and said I am a "new" customer after SIX years. They have the same name out front but THIS IS NOT THE SAME HONDA CARS OF KATY. My experience is detailed below. On Friday, November 19, 2021, I called to schedule my service B1 which is an oil change and tire rotation. I always call first to get a quote for any other service due. I also mentioned the free oil change service. The woman who took my appointment said my oil change would be free as always. I drove 20 miles from Houston here Saturday, November 20, 2021, to the dealership. When I arrived, the service person tells me that John Eagle sold the dealership and they are no longer honoring the free lifetime oil changes. I spoke to the Express Service Manager and the General Manager who both confirmed. They WASTED my time and gas but worse they do not value me as a customer. They told me I'm a "new customer" after YEARS of paying for services here. My car is paid off and I was considering buying another Honda but after this experience I will never spend another dime with Honda. They DO NOT honor their word or value their customers. Look elsewhere for a new or used vehicle because they will not honor what you bargained and paid for. Edit - the "reply" from the company is not sincere. Took my son to buy a car. Katy Honda had a 05 pilot that was listed on carfax.com for $5800.00. Took it for a test drive, and it was pulling hard to the right. I slid under the vehicle and noticed the rack and pinion had a really bad leak to which they said the car would be sold as is.(No problem) Went to make the deal and the sales person came out with add ons (the pro package) bringing the price of the vehicle to $8650.00+ TT&L. I don't blame the sales women as she was new to the car business, but those sales managers were very unprofessional and wasted my time!
