I took my car in as the AC wasn't working and my car was purchased new in 2022. I still have warranty, and the AC was under that. They charged me over $600 to flush my AC system and add new fluent - stating that they won't allow warranty to be used by this. I drove my car around for another 20-30 miles and it wasn't fixed, so I took it back. They then say that they need to order a part to fix the car (which is under warranty) and the flushing of the system wasn't actually necessary. Then they ordered the wrong part. Then I had to keep calling them to see what's going on - no updates no emails no calls. Finally I get my car back after over a month, and it has multiple scratches and dings on the outside, stains all over the front and passenger seat and a part of my car was not reattached, just sitting in my backseat. Chuck, who was condescending, sexist and extremely rude the entire time, told me to contact corporate to receive a refund from the work they did on my car that was unnecessary, and to get something done about the damage to my car. I have not heard back from corporate or the manager of west side Kia since, even though I have tried to reach out over seven times this month. Do not go here. Came here to get my fuel pump replaced. It was a factory recall. After it was replaced, my fuel gauge stopped working. So....I had to bring it in a second time. This time, they reset the counter. I gave it some time, and it still wasn't working right. Third time would be the charm. The fuel sensor needed replaced and it wasn't covered on my warranty. I found it odd that it was working fine before I got my fuel pump replaced. I figured dealers are going to get their money one way or another. So the representative told me they would have my car ready in the meantime as they would have to order the part. They would call me soon. Two hours went past, and no call. I called, and my representative was gone for the day. Not to mention they misplaced my key. I had a spare key so I went to pick it up anyway, and they would call me tomorrow if they found my key. Sure enough, I never got a call. So I had to call them to ask for my key....which they lost. Fourth and final time, I got my fuel sensor replaced. Cost of parts/labor was more than what was quoted on the phone. Either way, my car has two payments left. They're out of my life after that. read more

First off... service sucks, it's as bad as the service at Buffalo wild wing. Took my car get fix heater. They say need order parts. Need the car so we took the car. The idiot I think his name was AJ close the job order. So no one call us saying our part is here. I waited for two weeks to call them. They say the parts came two days after you brought in your car to get check. We schedule an appointment. They call me to say "we order the wrong parts." It has been more than 40 days and this simple thing can't be fix. If we didn't have full coverage, will never come back her. On top of that... I still haven't got a call that the parts arrive. FREE MY KIA. The Westside KIA, Katy, Texas, hostage crisis continues. When it comes to rating and reviews, I use customer feedback to give positive reviews especially when I experience an exception product or customer experience so others will patronize their business, but this is not the case for Westside KIA, Katy, Texas, because I can't make this stuff up on how they have treated me as a customer and made their problem, my problem. My KIA sportage has been in the service department for a KIA recall since July 16, 2024. On my third attempt to have this recall performed, I would have never guessed that leaving it overnight for this few hour repair would balooned into a 27 day nightmare that has no end in sight. This independently owned KIA dealershop and their service department (and service manager, Mr. Richard Martinez) have been unwilling to working out their differences with KIA on the recall and have simlpy referred me to 1-800-KIA for my grievance. In the meanwhile, my car sits in their shop, undriveable, without any promise of fixing the recall or what other problems they caused. Westside Kia, Katy, Texas, does not answer their phone. They do not return calls (because you can't leave a message), and they do not reachout to the customer with updates. Westside Kia, Katy, Texas will not talk to 1-800-KIA and consequently, Westside KIA, Katy, TX, does not answer their own phone when 1-800-KIA tries to contact them with my repair solution. I have literally stood in in Westside KIA's service department and called 1-800-KIA so I could hand them my phone so they could talk and exchange information so I might be able to get my car back. Their gross disregard to complete the recall on my KIA in a timely and professional manner, and to remedy any subsequent damaged that has left my car undriveable, is beyond believable. I will continue to escalate this matter through the maze of KIA procedures in hopes that Westside KIA, Katy, Texas, will do the right thing by the customer, but understand that when you are dealing with Westside KIA, Katy, Texas, they are dealing with an independely owned and operated business, so use caution. read more

Kia broke down my engine and put it back together without replacing the gaskets/seals. Now they want to charge me to fix what they did wrong. My car is spilling out oil from under the hood and oil is now all over the place under the hood where it smokes if I drive it and comes through the vents, making it very uncomfortable to breath. Oil is now all in my driveway and my garage. Kia won't take responsibility. DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR TO KIA, THEY ARE FRAUDS AND DON'T HAVE ETHICAL MECHANICS THAT KNOW BEST PRACTICES!! My 2024 Kia Carnival Ex was bought in February 2024. It has 4,847 miles on it. On May 26th (Sunday, Memorial Day Weekend), while I was driving, the car suddenly displayed all fault lights on the dashboard. It beeped nonstop and showed all errors on the driver display. The odometer and RPM gauges failed to show any reading while the car was moving at approximately 25 mph. See the picture attached. For video, see my comment on Google for Westside KIA. The worst part was when my wife brought the car to the Westside Kia dealer for service. This is the same dealership where we bought the car only 4 months ago. As she walked through the door, all the sales guys warmly approached her to sell cars. But when she asked where the service department was, they immediately changed their attitude and pointed, saying, "Over there!" She went over to the service desk and started to explain the car issue. The service rep asked if she had an appointment. Obviously, she didn't, and this seemed like an emergency with all the lights in the car turning on! She showed him the picture and video of the issue attached. He said to make an appointment and come back again. She said that this was an emergency and asked if she could leave her car there for the technician to diagnose the issue and get a loaner car. He said the dealership doesn't give out loaner cars for every issue, and since they couldn't check the car at the moment, they couldn't provide her with one. She asked for the service manager, and a guy named Willie Suliveras came to help. He basically repeated the same message as the service rep, but with more attitude. She told them about her terrific experience with Jeff Haas Mazda, where they would drop off their car at any time and provide a loaner right away, especially for emergency cases like this. He replied, "Why don't you buy another Mazda instead of a Kia?" Then he finally asked my wife for the car key, and after 10 minutes, he came back. He lied to my wife in front of everyone and said there was no check engine light in the car. I called Kia Customer Support right after I heard from my wife, and reported the issue. The Kia customer service rep called the dealership, and the guy was investigated and confessed that he had cleared the failure codes. I asked what the code was, and the Kia customer service rep could only tell me that the car had multiple communication codes. Willie Suliveras cleared the failure codes on the car, came back, and lied to the customer, and then sent her away! The Kia customer service lady did try to help as much as she could by making me a service appointment with this dealership right away, but of course, I would never give Westside Kia any more of my business. Since Willie Suliveras cleared the failure codes on the car without even knowing what the issues were out of negligence, I now have to drive the car around until the codes come back up again. I have an appointment with Joe Myers Kia on June 12th. Hopefully, the failure code will come back by then so we can figure out what the issues are. Stay tuned for more. read more

Below is the summary of my service experience with Westside KIA and the issues they caused. I hope by providing this review, potential customers will avoid this dealership altogether. On 12/1/2022, I worked with Sebastian Flores (who has been great through this process) and the dealership I purchased my car through to have a new seat cover for the driver's side bottom portion of the seat paid for and ordered. The bottom seat cover was being replaced due to scratches caused by the dealership I purchased my Stinger from (Not Westside KIA) On 1/6/2023, I dropped off my KIA Stinger to have the driver's side bottom seat leather replaced. After picking up my Stinger, I noticed there was an indentation in the leather on the bottom right bolster. It seems the cushioning behind the leather was nicked during the removal of the original seat cover. Additionally, I noticed two big scratches on the plastic below my arm rest. This was caused by improper removal of the seat. If you look at the original seat cover with the scratches on it there is no indentation on it. After noticing this, I contacted Sebastian Flores and had a service appointment scheduled to have these issues resolved. On 2/17/2023, I dropped off my KIA Stinger for most of the day. After being told my car was ready and coming to pick it up, I was notified that no work was done because the Service Manager, Matt Reck, and the district representative said the replaced seat cover was "within standards" for KIA. After this, I had a phone conversation with Matt Reck and was told again that this was "within standards" and if they "replaced the seat cover 30 times" it would still have the issue I was describing. I was also told by Matt Reck that, "I am the only person that would notice this", which was very condescending and unprofessional. At the end of the useless conversation with Matt, I was told to open a KIA Customer Care Case which I did. After working with my case manager and providing all the information to KIA, they determined this was not a warranty related issue (It was never a warranty related issue in the first place) and it was the responsibility of the dealership to fix the issue. On 3/17/2023, I unfortunately had another conversation with Matt Reck who again told me the seat was "within standards" and there was nothing more they would do for me. He even told me my original seat cover had the indentation already in it which was a complete lie. He did inform me I could "pay them to have it looked at again". Additionally, when I pointed out the scratches on the plastic below my armrest, he said he "didn't see them at my service appointment on 2/17/2023 so they couldn't have caused them". What's surprising to me is I provided pictures of what the seat and the plastic below my armrest looked like before the seat cover was replaced and they still won't take responsibility for their shoddy service and the damage they caused. Since my call on 3/17/2023, I have been trying to reach the general manager of Westside Kia, Caitlin Auffenberg, to talk with her about my service issue. I have left several voicemails and have not once been contacted which shows she doesn't care about her customers. Summary: Do not use this dealership for warranty work or any kind of service. The service manager, Matt Reck, is completely unprofessional and won't take responsibility for the subpar work performed by the service technicians. Additionally, the general manager, Caitlin Auffenberg, doesn't care about her customers. She will avoid your calls and won't call you back after leaving several voicemails. read more

I truly had an amazing experience at Westside Kia, I went on Friday and bought a used 2023 Kia sorento but ended up wanting the 2024, called James my sales person and told him my situation, he truly went above and beyond to try and get me the new Kia within my budget with no down payment and let me tell you the poor man fought hard for me with the sales manager for 3 + days!! It's now Wednesday and I'm driving out the lot with a 2024 Kia sorento x-line sx prestige within my budget and with no regrets!!
