Since this was the only place in Katy with a positive review score on Yelp, I decided to take my damaged Range Rover there. Two men helped me immediately and gave me an estimate within 15 minutes. I liked their respectful treatment, so I decided to let them do the work. I kept my car while they ordered the parts, which only took a day for them to receive. I arranged to drop-off of the car for a week later, as that fit my schedule and they were quite accommodating. The surprise came when they made the repairs of the rear quarter panel, tail light, and bumper, including paint, in one day! The repairs were flawless. Paint matched exactly, everything was tight and installed correctly and two months later, I am still 100% satisfied. Nobody could look at my car and guess that it was ever in an accident. Five stars for customer service alone! My vehicle was damaged in a hit and run while parked in a parking lot. My insurance company had me get several quotes at their "preferred providers". The client communication was horrible at Fogle, honestly the guy was a jerk ! I looked up reviews for body shoppes in the Katy Area and all the positive reviews caught my eye. Rey was communicative, he managed all the correspondence to my insurance company, kept me up to date on repairs, and split my deductible with me. My vehicle repair appears to be seamless and they even touched up all my door handles and made my car sparkle. I checked on my vehicle progress in person a few times during the process to make sure the repairs were conducted as I wanted/expected and they not only tolerated my white glove inspections but welcomed them! I highly recommend Fry Road Collision to any person needing repairs/bodywork/paint. read more

I had a mixed experience when I had my Tacoma fixed here. I appreciate that the initial quote was accurate, as well as the estimate of how long the work would take. The paint work was also well done. They also mistakenly fixed an area that wasn't part of the quote or the job, and since it was their error I wasn't charged for the extra work. That alone is the reason for the third star in my rating. There are many reviews mentioning Ray's friendliness, which I agree with. However, he also came off like a salesman, saying things he thought you'd want to hear. For example, he complimented the color of my wife's SUV, saying he'd never seen that model in that color before. We laughed out loud because it's probably the most common color for that particular vehicle. If anyone would know that, it's someone at a paint and body shop... The issue I had though, is that they put the bumper on my truck incorrectly. One of the mistakes they made was installing it completely out of level. I measured the distance from bottom of taillight to top of bumper on each side. One side was nearly a full inch lower than the other. The positive is that Ray apologized and had it reinstalled, so now it's almost level. The other issue is that the bumper is noticeably farther back from the bed than the factory one was. When I asked Ray about this, he first said it was the same as any factory bumper. I wasn't convinced, because it was off by enough to look funny. He then said maybe it was just a new design, intended to sit farther from the bed so that it wouldn't damage the bed if you get rear-ended. Obviously that's a made-up excuse. I've compared the bumper to numerous other Tacomas and not one has a bumper that far back. He should have offered to fix it, but instead only offered an excuse. I noticed other reviews that mentioned customers having to bring their vehicles back due to issues with bumpers. Now I understand why. I would recommend this shop if you strictly need paint and body work that DOESN'T include a bumper. To me the mark of a good body shop is that when vehicles leave, you can't tell they were ever hit and repaired. In this case, you can tell at a quick glance that the bumper on my truck has been replaced, just by looking at where it sits in relation to the bed. read more

My SUV's windshield was cracked and needed repair. I called Fry Rd Collision and gave them the model info and they said it would be approximately $200 for the replacement, but when I arrived they quoted me $400. They mentioned it would only be a 2 day process so I went ahead and ordered the replacement but 2 days later they mentioned they didn't have the right windshield, so then I had to wait a few more days, then they mentioned the new windshields they ordered had broken and so I had to wait another week. Overall I spent $682 (including Uber fees for transportation) and had to wait approximately 2 weeks. read more

I needed to have my 1999 Toyota Solara rear bumper cover replaced. While getting estimates I was referred to Ray Gerami at Fry Road Collision Center. I chose them because I got a personal referral for them, their estimate was the best, and the location is convenient. Dealing with Ray was a joy. He was attentive and involved in every phase of the work. They ordered the bumper and painted it the factory color listed on the car's information. Ray showed me how that color didn't match the repainting of my car that had been done, even though I had been told it had been done with the factory color. We both agreed the match not acceptable and they repainted it to match the existing exterior car color. Ray could not have been more attentive and concerned about getting a good match. The customer service (Ray) and workmanship this shop brings puts them ahead of the rest. I hit someone from behind amounting to about $12,000 in damages to the front end and airbag deployment. I had my Scion FR-S at another shop across town, but I decided to bring this car to a local shop I could trust. The front office guy, Ray, arranged for a tow vehicle to drive 45 miles to have my car picked up from the other shop free of charge. Working through thanksgiving and Christmas, he was able to have the car back to me in about 6 weeks as many of my car parts were on back order and very hard to come by. Upon pick up, Ray encouraged me to take the car on a long test drive to assess the repair. Mechanically speaking, the car worked as before the crash without squeaks or rattling. Cosmetically, the exterior was flawless with perfect paint matching. Being that this was a lease, I needed the car to look near perfect, so I pointed out a few very minor scratches to the dash where the airbag module was housed. Ray was transparent with the trouble getting behind the dash, hence the scratches from a flat head screwdriver. He offered a full replacement of the dash, but I negotiated for a break on the deductible instead. He further guaranteed that if I was to have any trouble with the leasing company charging me for the scratches that he would replace the dash free of charge. I couldn't have left happier..Ray is a genuine guy that makes you want to come back and tell your friends. I'll be bringing all my cars back to Ray.. hopefully not anytime soon though!! read more
