I would like to share my recent experience with customer service at your location, specifically…read moreregarding an interaction with Mike. When I requested his assistance in locating my cigarette lighter fuse, I felt that he was unwilling to help. Instead of providing guidance, he suggested that I find the fuse myself and return with its specifications. This left me feeling quite frustrated, as I expected a more proactive approach from someone who is knowledgeable in this area. I believe effective customer service is crucial, especially when representatives have the expertise to assist customers directly. Unfortunately, I had to go home and tackle the issue myself, which was not ideal. I returned shortly after to address the fuse issue and share my thoughts on the experience, but I learned that Mike had already left for the day. I did communicate my concerns to the other representatives, as I believe a positive attitude and willingness to help can significantly enhance the customer experience. Thank you for taking the time to read my feedback. I hope it can lead to improvements in your service approach.

They could have made another $200 on the job, but instead chose to lose thousands of dollars in future business from a longtime customer. Their work has always been decent, but there are plenty of mechanics who do equally good work for comparable prices. Customer relationships matter, and throwing away years of future business over something this small simply isn't good business. I would do one star but we've done this in the past that went well so I'll add an extra star

Yesterday I tempted fate because on the last time I'd been out of the house to drive anywhere -- a…read moreweek ago or more -- my car's dashboard electrical system warning light had come on. I was hoping it was just a dying battery, since I have jumper cables, and that I could get this errand completed even if I had to beg a jump-start from some stranger. Alas, it was not the battery, but the alternator, which had failed -- meaning no more juice was going into the battery, and my car therefore went completely dead about 10 minutes from my destination. But I coasted to a stop -- with the engine dead, no power steering, no dashboard lights at all -- into the parking lot of Deerfield Auto Repair & Kwik Kar. Owner Joe Fallin and his capable staff promptly diagnosed my problem and gave me a fair estimate. They replaced my alternator and battery both (never keep an old battery with a new alternator!) within the estimated time, about three hours, and hosted me in the meantime in a clean and well-appointed waiting room (easy to maintain pandemic-driven social distancing). Friendly, competent, honest, diligent -- fate delivered me into good hands, and I'm happy to recommend them to anyone.

DO NOT TAKE YOUR VEHICLE HERE! I've given this shop multiple chances, but unfortunately, my…read moreexperience has been nothing short of criminal. I have spent over $4k over several months for the same unresolved issue. First, they misdiagnosed it as a bad throttle body. Then later admitted it never need one. Next, they claimed it was the PCV valve, which they had already replaced two years prior. When that didn't resolve the problem, they said I needed a new water pump and hoses, which failed to resolve the issue. Finally, they told me I needed a $4500 head gasket repair. At that, point, I sought a second opinion at the dealership. Only to learn the problem stemmed from the previous work, which had not be done properly. I am a teacher who cannot afford to pay thousands of dollars for "guesswork." Despite multiple chances, the shop has not offered any refund or attempt to make this right with me. At this point, based on the actions (or lack there of) of this shop, I no longer believe this is a case of gross incompetence. I believe it was done with intentional deceit and I can't with good conscience recommend this place to anyone.
