I brought my 1999 silk 230 in to have them look at my radio as it wasn't working. They told me it was the audio amplifier. They told me it would be much cheaper if i order one and installed It. They told me where the amp was located in the car and said it's easy to do. I then called the car dealership and as for the price of a new amp. It was $1600.00. So i purchased one on eBay for $38.00. Installed it and the radio works like new. It's nice to know that there are still honest people out there like at kool Karz in Katy Texas that could have sold me a radio but told me the cheapest way to fix mine. Great price for high quality ceramic tint. Installation was quick and flawless. We've had it for a month now, and couldn't be happier. Every other car I have owned has been tinted with the dealer. (Usually a part of some bogus dealer add on package they say they can't remove) This time our new car was black with no tint installed, so it was up to us to get it tinted. The ceramic tint we got at Kool Kars far and away is better than any dealership tint package. Our black car is definitely cooler in this hot Houston sun. I've learned my lesson for any future cars! Worst people to do business with ever, spent LOTS OF MONEY. They held my truck for several days, several times, only to get my truck back in the same condition. Couldn't get viper alarm issues correct, dash squeaks after head unit installed (didn't fix ). After I had a rough start the first time the did an install on the truck, I let them try again only to install it horribly and say they couldn't make it right and come pick it up. Please please please don't use these people, they are terrible at customer relations to. Had to have cops escort me to get my truck . read more

This is a very sincere business that will do the best job for your car without making you spend a fortune. I got my windows tinted which called for them to remove my current tint. The entire process cost me $150. They did the job within five hours, but it probably took so long because my tint was really bad. The tint looks great now. read more

Went in for a Heavy duty bumper for my truck and got a great deal and was told to the sensors would work and everything ( even though I pointed out that the website said it would need a 6" lift for the sensors to work and I didn't have that). Once i nearly got things straightened with the insurance, I returned a week or two later and the price went up $200-$300 and now all of a sudden the sensors wouldn't work. Got the feeling they just wanted to take my money the first visit and were gonna worry about it later. read more

Save you money and go to a real place. they have just got so busy they rush the cars in and out. I had my tint done there 2 yrs ago and it was done nice; however the price was high. Since then I wrecked my truck and went back to get only one window done, they charge me $70 buck to tint one window and eyebrow across the front window ( I thought that was way to high, esp when the charge $159.00 for the whole truck tint. Also I ask them to check my train horn, . I was told i needed to add more horns or check if i had a air leak. of course they didn't have time for that (well make time, I am the customer and my truck is in your shop!) And the lady that answers the phone seems to be angry if you ask her questions. I will never go back - they have worked on my truck for years -- Lift 6", Train horn twice, tint for all my cars (3 of them). I have had two great experiences with Kool Karz and will be going back again for future needs. Both of the times I have done business with the folks have been in regards to spray in bed liners. I was worried about them not taking appointment times but both my trucks were ready for pickup within two hours. I would prefer an appointment time but so far I have had good luck without one.
