Although Rafael is a nice guy, all of the equipment they installed for me has either malfunctioned or stopped working completely. I had to go back after only a couple months to get my backup camera fixed. Then after about 3 months or so I called because the pioneer touch screen head unit started acting all weird. He said to bring it in but every time I did they couldn't work on it. After almost a year I called again and told him it was all screwed up and he said they cannot replace it because it has been to long. NEVER COME HERE. Dropped off my brand new hellcat to get a simple tint all the way around on all windows and it took 10 hours to finish. When I got my car back it was filled with air bubbles all the way around my car and the guys excuse is "it's a big car man and I had no help I did all by myself" , "I'll fix it for you if you bring It back on Monday". So I bring it back Monday, it takes him ANOTHER 8 hours just and it STILL had bubbles everywhere, a tear in the back passenger window, and not to mention he left my car dirty as hell with finger prints all over the paint and windows. Not to mention they never answer the phone. Such a waste of my time and money I will never come back to this POS shop. read more

I've used hyper audio for years now, and they will always take care of you. I've brought countless cars in, including 4 of my own for tint and sound systems etc.. they have also tinted one of our fire trucks and always do a really good job. They warranty their tint work, and if your tint messes up, they will take care of it and redo it for you. Would highly recommend hyper audio to anyone looking for tint, or sound systems. I would not recommend this company. The owner threatened my wife, told her he was going to call the cops and he was doing all this because he blocked her into a parking space. When she asked him why he was acting this way he responding with "because I want to be an asshole!" My wife asked him to move his vehicle and he said he wouldn't and that the situation was my wife's problem. Also known as Hyper Tint and Audio on Kingsland. I purchased a nearly 5k system from Hyper Audio Mason on Oct 31st of 2015 and here it is Apr 6, 2017. Although the system and integration had "quirks" the sound was amazing so I felt good about my purchase for about 3 months, that's when things really started going south. The Head Unit is a Pioneer 8100NEX and some top-of-the-line JL Audio amplifier. I'd provide the model number of the amp but I have still not received an invoice/receipt or packing material associated with it so I have no idea what it is. There were a litany of annoyances that I wanted to complain about initially but the sound was so good I was able to put them all out of my mind. Some of these problems include: blue-tooth wouldn't connect reliably, audio cutting out during switching between the native head unit interface and Apple CarPlay mode, the head unit would act like it's playing audio but no sound was produced, sometimes the GPS thought I was going around 200 MPH or would completely lose my location out into a field, sometimes the head unit would never fully boot leaving me with a black screen and inoperable buttons, etc. Most times I'd just pull over, kill the engine, open the door and restart to fix it. Sometimes twice in a row. This is nowhere near a complete list of annoyances but I hope you get the idea. The most significant problem began around 3 months into ownership. The bass would blast and all other frequencies would vanish. I would take the vehicle in, be told they couldn't find a problem and repeat this over and over. It was extremely inconsistent in behavior. This cost me money for Uber, tolls, and lost work time each occurrance to the tune of about 600 dollars. This went on for around 8-9 warranty visits throughout the entirety of 2016 and on into 2017. I was given excuse after excuse and was never provided enough information to "bite" onto an actual problem. The amp was sent back "for repairs" and was supposedly "fixed" but it made no difference, the problem remained. I continued bringing it in with nothing but excuses and circular arguments that never ended in a conclusion. I've finally given up after approaching a year and a half of back-and-forth and taken my botched installation to a competing vendor in Katy. They fixed the "creative" installation with standard parts in two days. Amazingly, everything has magically started working. It blows my mind how many annoyances have completely vanished since the $550 dollar repair to the hacked up factory harness. I feel completely ripped off regardless of the circular logic applied. If they would have NOT hacked up my factory harness and used the appropriate PAC-AUDIO adapter I would have had an insanely great system for a lot less frustration yet here I am... writing a lame YELP review because I have confidence that it'll cost me more to pursue a lawsuit than it will to just complain online and eat the cost. Don't get me wrong, Ralph/Raphael is a "nice guy" and I actually do like him but this isn't how I want to do business. He could barely remember my issues from visit to visit. They often open the shop up to 45 minutes late and the whole interaction has worn me very thin with regards to their professionalism. I have personally met 2 other people who have used this shop and also never received a receipt. I've asked for my receipt/invoice at least 4 times now and there doesn't appear to be a chance of that happening without legal action. Buyer beware, seriously. If interested, the place that fixed my hacked up factory harness is Mobile Innovations in Katy. They are definitely not cheap but I'm convinced you get what you pay for at this point. The service is great and the guys are very friendly and easy to talk to about what youre looking for. Worst experience I ever had at any shop brought my car to the owner, Ralph, earlier this week to have them replace A faulty amp that they sold me and installed and gave an excuse to get me to come back and drop my car off the following Saturday morning. I then called at 2 o'clock in the afternoon and he told me he was just arriving so I called him again @4 asked for an update and he proceeded to tell me he was just arriving again.he then proceeded to only do work that could have easily been done earlier in the week and didn't even Fix the original problem I was having. He proceeded to tell me he couldn't fix my original problem and charged me 80 dollars for the hour of labor he did to fix his own fuck up. When I complained to him he then told me I was rude on the phone every time I called although the phone calls lasted no more than one minute He then proceed to tell me he wasn't the owner even though the several time I had been there previously he made very clear that was not the case the owner in my option is a slease bag looking to drain his clients wallets although ty who does tint there was extremely helpful and understanding read more

I know there are quite a few tint and audio shops around the metro area, but Hyper Audio has to be the best hands down. I had them install some LED fog lights that were by no means easy. Ralph and his team not only had the job done quickly, but the attention to detail was impressive. Extremely professional, friendly, and accommodating. Anyone ever in the Katy area and want tint/ audio done don't go to tint and audio on kindsland ( hyper audio) guy broke the running board on my truck said he would replace the pair after making me run from welding shop to wielding shop , finally get to the off road store to be told he only ordered one . When I go back to the store he tells me to fuck myself and he doesn't have time for my shit . Guy broke my truck then tells me to Fuck myself ? And offering me his employees number that broke my truck to take it up with him ? After a week . Worst business ever not to mention whilst the numerous times I was there watching his employees drift out with customers expensive cars curbing them I ordered a sub box and after a week the box came and it was the wrong one . This shop is a joke , and for an owner to get in my face telling me to fuck off ? I hope no one goes to this shop worst customer service ever and don't leave your car alone with them read more

They deserve 0 stars if that was an option. Hyper Audio is a dishonest business and incompetent technicians. I brought my truck in for new head unit and amp install. All the wiring was in place, I just wanted new equipment. What I got was a total hack job with the truck returned to me in worse condition than when I brought it in. I returned the next day to discuss the corrections necessary and was told by Ralph "We don't want to work on you truck anymore, it's too complicated." He initially offered my money back and then backtracked when I requested the full amount of the install. I had to take my truck to a different shop to have everything reinstalled correctly and I disputed the charge. A month later, Ralph had the audacity to call me and lecture me on the type of customer I am. This enough should be an example of how unprofessional and disrespectful the business is.
