If this business put half as much effort into their in-person customer service as they do into monitoring and responding to online reviews, they'd be a much better operation. The rude interaction at the front desk was enough for me to turn around and take my business elsewhere, they never even got the chance to earn it. It's great to be active online, but that energy would be better spent training your front desk staff to treat customers with basic respect from the moment they walk in. I would NOT recommend Tint World for an Intoxalock calibration. The employee who assisted me was not very friendly, which made the experience uncomfortable. After the Intoxalock calibration was completed, I was charged $40. This was surprising because I typically pay much less at other locations. Tint World on Fondren usually charges $24.99 for Intoxalock calibrations, and Matrix off Bellaire charges around $25. I only chose this location because I needed a calibration quickly and was already in the area. Due to the higher cost and overall experience, I would not return or recommend this location for Intoxalock calibrations. read more

Needed some tint removed from my rear windshield as it was peeling and discolored, staff was very helpful in giving me a quote. Took about an hour to complete, seemed pricey for the job BUT considering the rear windshield has the defrosting lines on it I'm sure it was a riskier job. Would use them again! read more

TLDR; Do your research and avoid this location, because the owner is a lying, gaslighting crook who just proves that honest people in these industries don't exist anymore. He's out to make a quick buck and if you want to support a small business, this franchise isn't the "small business" to support. Explanation below, because the owners clearly not going to take accountability for his part in this. Future customers; my review may not change your mind, but it can at least prepare you! Go anywhere else to get your tint done. Any other tint world, any other local shop. Go somewhere else. See one of the reviews below. The owner/front desk manager, whoever is in charge of this shop and handling customers, should seriously consider reevaluating how he handles situations when they come up. We had our front and back windows tinted on February 2 or 3, 2024. We spent just over $400 dollars to do so. We thought the experience was fine at the time, and the person who helped us out was a salesman through and through. That's not a good thing these days, and he proved that today. We explained the day we went in, that we weren't aware of the specific tinting laws within Texas as we moved here less than 2 years ago. We spent probably an hour talking to this guy about what would be best and that we wanted him to put on the darkest tint *legally acceptable*. I mean until we were blue in the face we made it so abundantly clear that we would need and appreciate his "knowledge" and "expertise" on this and to make sure what we were putting on was legal and that it would cause no issues with any cops in the future. He said he understood, that he would make sure he did just that. Fast forward to needing to renew our registration and we fail the inspection because the tint is not legal and is too dark. What a weird sentence to hear from the automotive shop worker when just 3 months ago, we spent an entire day working with a crook who said he was going to get us worked out and right and make sure it's exactly what we asked for. We start heading up to the location, and my partner calls to give a heads up and just talk to the guy and see what happened, because clearly a mistake has been made on Tint World's end. He immediately deflected any blame onto us, and tried to gaslight my boyfriend into believing he was crazy for calling and that this is all our fault. This is immediately a red flag and an insane position to take as an owner and customer representative. To further prove that this guy who answered the phone is delusional and someone you probably don't want to work on your vehicle, when there was confusion about what or who could be at fault, it was mentioned that we were headed up there and would be there in about 20 minutes. Their response wasn't "Okay great we'll see you then, maybe we can figure out what happened." The owner immediately jumped to the conclusion that we were "threatening him" which is crazy and shows that the second he heard something was wrong, his mind was made up about everything. He wasn't willing to hear a customer out, he wasn't willing to have any accountability towards this mistake, he was simply too good to be blamed for anything. We decided to turn around because ANY grown man that automatically believes someone showing up to his shop for more information and answers is threatening him, is a grown man who's entire purpose in life is to be the victim and bring more problems. He probably would have continued with the childish antics and attitude he displayed over the phone and it would have escalated into something only he would've enjoyed and only something that would feed his ego. I got my new Tesla Model 3 all glass tinted including the windshield last Saturday. I was told it would be finished in 2-3 hours, but I have no ride room. They were nice enough to send me to a nearby restaurant for breakfast and asked me to let them know when I finish they would send me to Katy Mills Mall to wait. What nice customer service! Since they care about the customers, I decided to let them do the glass roof. Regardless, they were happy to send me home as per my request to wait. The tints on all my windows, windshield, and rooftop look great. I can see and feel a big difference in heat coming into the car. Stopped by to ask about adding an amp to my F150. Told the sales guy I was planning on adding an amp and then adding speakers, but would like to get an amp installed first. Was told I need to install amp and speakers because I would blow out my factory speakers. I know and understand this already, I dont need a lesson here. I have a plan and would like to add an amp first and then afterwards I would come back and add speakers. Again he said nope you would need to add an amp and speakers and a base amp and speaker upgrade would be around $1,500 to $1,700. After I told him I had 6 speakers the priced doubled to $3,000. I left because I couldnt get an amp added to my truck without adding speakers. This business doesn't' seem to understand, its my money. If I want to add just an amp only then its my right do so. I had my tint done there roughly 3-4 months ago and specified that I didn't know much about it and I wanted to make sure my tint was a legal darkness. I had my vehicle inspection done recently and got flagged for my tint being too dark. I called this location and was immediately gas lit and had yelled into my ear "if you asked for it to be legal then why would we install 17%" i then calmly told him I'd be coming into the store so we could discuss it further and they could verify that my tint was indeed not within legal limits. the man operating the phone, I believe his name was Jason said and I quote "are you really threatening me?" once again gas lighting. The tint I had installed was done very well but when you make a mistake and don't do it within legal limits you need to own up to your mistake. and to the man who I spoke to on the phone clearly you need 600 dollars more than I do so enjoy the money. Avoid! I spent over $800 to change out my garmin aftermarket console which required new connectors to my garmin screen. Well, after 6 months I had a "DC offset error" (which I never had in 5 years of the old console) I took it back for them to check it and the guy in the front desk was very hostile, and unwilling to even see diagnose what the problem was without me paying $150. read more

If I could leave zero stars I would. Went to get my front windshield and side front windows tinted. The pricing that I was quoted was approximately low $200's (I wanted the cheapest possible, it's a lease).Then they told me that they only stock "the best" which meant that I had to be willing to pay for the top of the line front window tint. Ok, understandable. What's shady is that the price they have advertised $449 for the top of the line tint. This would include the front window and two side windows. However I told them that I only wanted the cheap tint on the front two windows because I was trying to save on cost (it's a lease). So, they tried to "cut me a deal" and quoted me $401 for the top of the line front tint, and the low end two front window tint. I agreed to this. I told the dude working, "ok, let me pay now before I change my mind". Up to this point I spent 45 minutes for him to "put me in the new corporate system". From the point I told him I was ready to pay it took approximately another 25 minutes for him to try and figure out how to charge me. At this point I decided to leave. Follow on conversation with the owner who called me. Once the owner called me I thought to my self, ok the owner is reaching out, this shows good on the company. But here's what happened. The owner told me to come back in so he could "cut me a deal". I told him I wasn't interesting in wasting my time driving out to the business if I wasn't going to be interested in the deal. (I feel like that's fair, it's a basic car, nothing crazy, all specifications that could be found online). When he told me the deal "I will do the front window and 2 sides for $400". Wow, I said no thank you and was in the process of telling the owner I would be leave a bad review because he called me. He instead hung up on me. Interesting approach to running a business. This is Texas folks.. 2nd largest state. I'm positive you can find another place to tint your windows that doesn't have shady pricing, bad customer support, and bad customer follow-up. read more

I started with my new GMC Sierra. They did a very good job and my son who had bought my BMW 328i had his car tinted there. Again another good job. After having my Corvette for five years, I decided that based on the good work on my truck and my son's car I would get the Vette done there. I knew going in about the microdot issues on the hatch. However, the result was not satisfactory for my pride and joy. I talked to Jason and he did own up to the job that was done and even offered to pay for me to take it somewhere else if he couldn't rectify it to my satisfaction.
