Took my car there based on their reputation and history in the community(10+years). Asked them to install a pair of components in the front and some coaxials in the rear. Initially I was happy with the price until I got the car back. They didn't bother to use the new crossovers since the "old" ones were still there and they completely trashed the old pair to the point that I wouldn't be able to resell them on any of the resell sites. They were two pair of Fender Edition component speakers so they weren't cheap. Hindsight 20/20 if I had known this was how they conducted business I would NEVER have taken my car there. Looks like I'm going to have to take the car elsewhere to install the crossovers and maybe add an amp. Job seemed rushed and alltogether unprofessional. It doesn't look like they knew what they were doing when they took out the old speakers. I was going to install them myself but figured I'd let "professionals"do it. Lesson learned. Maybe I'll hear back from them about rectifying their mistakes but I doubt it. Update: I called them to bring up the problems I had and they weren't apologetic at all. The guy I spoke to was Israel and he was very argumentative. He persisted that I, the customer, should have known that the speakers were going to be ripped out instead of properly removed. He also assumed that I did not want my Fender speakers back. The work done was obviously done by someone who does not know what quality work looks like. To add to all of this, he hung up on me when he got tired of having to explain his shoddy work. If you care about your car and having quality work done, do not come here. He shouldn't be in the business if he doesn't care about customer service or more importantly, vehicle knowledge. Stay away. Wish I could give zero stars read more

I went in just to see how much it would cost for an updated stereo and left with a new stereo and a fresh tint for my truck.. I didn't believe the price I was quoted because it seemed too low, but I wasn't about to argue to pay more. ; ) All the guys in the shop were super nice and I'm glad I stopped by on a whim today. They also took time to show me how to work the new stereo and helped me hook my phone to the Bluetooth. The work was done super fast; it was a great experience all around and I'll definitely be back for any future work on my truc I'd recommend CJ Sounds for any type of aftermarket work. UPDATE 01.23.19 I started having problems with the Bluetooth remembering my phone so I took my truck back to have the guys look at it. The problem seemed to be fixed after they cleared the memory, so I went on with my day. Then it happened again so I took it back to see if they'd switch the stereos out for me, and before I could suggest it myself they removed the stereo and called for a replacement. Went to buy a simple after market harness, they sold me the incorrect part and will not do anything to make their mistake right. Do yourself a favor if you need to buy parts intown and go to Bestbuy for the harness for 16.99 instead of 27 at this "shop". Highly unprofessional to do a customer wrong on a mistake which was their fault to begin with. Guy on the phone claims he told me at the time of sale that it couldn't be returned which is not true because he was in the middle of talking to 2 other customers and fumbling around looking for receipt paper. It's not about the money, it's about bad customer relations over something this small. I'll be getting my alarm and sound system elsewhere. read more

My review is a little overdue, but I don't want to forget to show these guys some appreciation! I was looking for a new sound system for my Jeep Wrangler and after being quoted $4,200 elsewhere (no exaggeration..) I was about to throw in the towel. That's when I came across CJ Sounds. The reviews were glowing so I sent an email in through their website requesting someone contact me. Not even an hour later I had a response from Israel with some options that were almost too good to be true! I told Israel I needed to weigh my options and that I would call if I needed anything else. The next day I got a call from Israel letting me know he had just installed the sound system I had my eye on in another Jeep and asked if I wanted to come check it out to get a feel for what I would be buying - AWESOME!!!!! I headed that way and the system sounded amazing. That really sealed the deal for me. The install was done same day and the installer took the time to show me how to navigate the new radio and CarPlay. First of all i got my tint done about 2 1/2 weeks ago, Luis stated that there was in fact a mishap in my back window which i didn't mind since it was tiny. I get my car back and return home from a 40 minute drive, i get out of my car and shut my door only to realize my door panels aren't even connected to my car! We called him back and he said he would fix it so i took it back got the door panel fixed and went along my way. I get gas about a week later and my gas tab is completely broken off, now since they were the only people to touch my doors i was furious. I called Luis back up and he basically called me a liar to my face asking why haven't i gotten gas in 2 weeks? uh because my car sits in a garage all week and is hardly driven? Anyways he said he would have to have proof they broke it. So here i am with a broken gas tab (where i have to jab something underneath it just so it can open) , bubbled windows all over now, and my locks on my passenger door don't work anymore. I'll never return not even to get it fixed i don't want them messing anything else up. Oh and also Luis was smoking weed in the back of his shop, lucky i didn't contact the law. read more

I went to CJ sounds because my wife suggested i give them a try because she had such a great experience from their location on Fry Rd . I wanted to get a ipad custom in my dash they sent me to the 529 store . the team was nice but their so called custom guy had no clue of what to do very unprofessional and after i paid over $300 instead of my dash looking custom it looks like a home kit job . he glued some pieces on that fell off soon as i pulled out the shop and my dash would not even snap back in correctly. CJ sound has good products and installation but DO NOT GO TO THEM FOR CUSTOM WORK !! My ipad install was the worst experience i ever had . I now have to find another shop to pay to fix this in order for my truck to look like i envisioned for it to look. read more

I've been here 2 times now and the first time was to get my subs and amp installed they did it in a decent time but when I looked at my amp I saw when they drilled it into my floor they split the plastic on the amp because they went in sideways when drilling and the second time was recently just to get my new amped tunesafter about 10 minutes of waiting they told me to come out back and just talked shit about the amp and said it's a cheap amp nothing we can do which is fine we all have opinions but then another guy yelled out Chinese made and started talking about the amp in a fake Chinese accent very unprofessional and honestly very racist it's truly disgusting I'll never go back there read more

ALRIGHT this review is definitely long overdue but I came here 2016- 2017 when I first bought my car I got tint done I legit always bragged sent people their way, and all that they're great they work with you they're honest. So about two weeks ago I got into a really traumatic accident, my back window broke, and I legit looked on the road the window, shattered, was still being held together by their tint. When my car is fixed I'll be coming back to retint my window for sure read more

Was not impressed with the tint work on my vehicle. I expressed my concerns about the cut, color, bubbles and what my vehicle was suppose to have only to be told to comeback in 2 weeks and if I wanted to add another layer of tint I'd have to pay an extra $50-75 dollars even though what I initially asked for wasn't right; lets not mention I didn't get the lower grade tint either so it was $250 to start with. Excuse me... Noooooo sir! I expressed wanting my tint dark... Zero visibility to be exact. Nobody told me that since I didn't have base tint from the factory it wouldn't be zero unless I went with zero %. I wasn't told that at all....I refuse to take my car back there for anything and this is the 4th vehicle they've worked on for my family and 5th time doing business with them but that's come to an end. My Mercedes shouldn't have on off cut or bubbles at all.... I guess I'll find someone to makes it right because I'm not confident in their work anymore. I know an older guy did my tint and I asked him was he going to clean the windows first, he said yes...well guess what he DIDN'T so I have marks underneath the tint that will never come off unless I go get it changed somewhere else. A TOTAL WASTE OF $250 dollars.... They got me this time but it'll NEVER happen again. If I could give (0) stars I would! read more

Shopped around for weeks for a sub and amplifier. I've been through a lot of woofers and Amps but have never had any Rockford products. I trusted Brian on a Rockford amp and was already set on buying a DB drive woofer. They stayed open 2 hours late working on my car even built the box when I came in an hr before closing. Best customer service I've experienced from any audio shop and was blown away by the sound quality this setup puts out. Not to mention it's extremely loud haha. The Viper alarm system is a hard one I took my vehicle here and I highly regret it the crew here have no Idea what there doing I had to go back twice still isn't fix and I payed $200 the lights won't flash with the alarm system for a establishment that has you wait there bathrooms are something that looks out of a horror it's disgusting very unsanitary I don't recommend this establishment should have went to yelp first read more

A big shout out to Louis, Israel, Chico and Lou. I needed a tint for my Lexus CT200h and stopped by CJ Sounds for an estimate. Was a little intimidated by all the car gadgets. Met Israel who took his time to show me the different tints and provided quotes. Met Chico who drove me home while they worked on my car. Louis worked on the tint and was very accommodating through the entire process. All the guys were so nice and took their time to explain the process and how to care for the tint. I choose the ceramic film and it looks great. I can already tell a big difference out in the direct heat. I was retiring from work. My company asked if I wanted a gold watch or a golf club ($900 driver)...to which I replied, "No. I would like to update the car stereo in my Impala as I'm an Audiophile. I was asking around who did good work and a friend invited me out into the parking lot to look at his stereo in a Nissan 370Z. Wow! I've put in 250 car stereo's in my time and this install was the Best. Upon reviewing their materials, Rockford-Fosgate Amps, Rockford-Fosgate wire, etc. it was easy to make up my mind that this was the place to do the work. I already had the JBL's in the rear deck but I'm getting too old to do the JBL's separates in front plus rewire the entire car and add "Triphazers" to each speaker. I used the Punch 400x4 for the Amp. Born date showed a pure 145 watts a channel. I'm German heritage, so I'm all over everything. They made me very happy...and nobody makes me happy. i took my vehicle in for a stereo system paid a lot of money and I got totally different stuffed then I asked for. I asked for 2 12's in a custom box and I got 10's. I asked for a certain amp to push my door speakers and got again something totally different. I can hardly get ahold of them being the fact it seems like when I call its a cell phone and not a business phone...to top it off my vehicle was there for 2 whole days. it shouldn't take that long to install a stereo system...if your looking for something that's very low quality this will be the place to go. read more
