Great, neat job! Done on time! Great service! Good price! Took time to give me a tutorial on my dash cam afterward!! Highly recommended.

These guys are my go to people to work on my vehicles. They do a very good job and very friendly also. Kept having my subs in my G-80 have issues even sounded like they blew but after letting their tech take a look he fixed them and I never had issue again. These guys really go above and beyond each of the 4 times I've been! read more

They installed a dash camera for us. An excellent gif, no visible wires, no loose wires, no mess. Very professional done. We had an a minor repair, six months after the installation (the sticker holding the front camera came came loose) and they fixed it for no charge. Highly recommend. read more

I decided to have wireless CarPlay and a backup camera installed in my old Toyota Highlander. I liked the reviews I read on Houston Car Audio and brought my car in. The owner is very honest and straightforward, and his prices are competitive. He doesn't push you towards the expensive stuff, but after I asked him what he had in his personal vehicles, I decided to get a Kenwood Excelon installed. The sound is amazing, even with my old speakers. The job took approximately 3.5 hours. Highly recommend Houston Car Audio. read more

had a highly unsatisfactory experience with Houston Car Audio and wish I could give this place zero stars. I purchased a Pioneer audio system and had it installed here for for my Honda Accord. paid extra to enable the audio controls from my steering wheel, but they do not work at all. To make matters worse, there is a constant static noise coming from the speakers since the new audio system has been installed , which makes driving unbearable. Additionally, my camera display has dulled since this change was made. I have called numerous times to make an appointment to get it checked by them, but each time the owner claimed they were too busy to assist me. He insisted that I come in on weekdays, but when I did, he told me he didn't have any staff available to help and had no idea when he could fit me in. He was rude and said his installation was not the issue even without checking it. This level of customer service is unacceptable. I strongly advise against using this business. It is clear that once they have your money, they have no interest in providing support or resolving issues. Don't waste your time or money here--find a place that values its customers and stands by its products. read more

I contacted the owner for a quick review on scope to replace the speakers on my wife's 2024 Terrain and his price was very fair! after reviewing the parts he noticed I picked up the wrong speakers for the front but not to worry he had exactly what we needed so the vehicle was completed same day. They did a great job on the installation and we are happy. I'll be taking are other two vehicles over soon. I'm really big on car audio and this shop is top notch. Thank you very much for taking great care of our brand new vehicle. Shannon read more

I have a GLC300 and the factory speakers have blown out 2-3 times. I went to HCA and the owner and technician went above and beyond to make sure I had the best value, amazing sound, and even provided an extra service. This place is the only place I'll let touch my vehicle. They are 5 stars all the way around. If you're looking for high quality service and people who know what they're doing and aren't trying to get over, come here. read more

Honest business, upfront about everything. I had some basic work to do and they diagnosed and gave me reasonably priced options to fix everything, and gave me choices, whether I wanted to fix something 100% or the cost conscious route to get it working considering the age of the car. read more

The manager was very good to work with, and new his products. He was upfront, courteous and went out of his way to satisfy the customers. The installer also had 20 yrs plus experience. Very knowledgeable. I am a satisfied customer. Jerry B read more

I visited this store because the radio in my son's car was not producing any sound. I described the problem to the person who was working that day. They advised that it was the amp and suggested ordering an amp online and they could install it. I purchased an amp and sent my son back to have it installed. So,e $200 later between the cost of the amp and the install the radio was still not producing any audio. The radio had power, my phone connected to Bluetooth, but no sound. The same person who said it was the amp then told my son, after that "fix" did not work, that well, it must be something else wrong. Really? You think? My son reminded this individual that they were the person who said it was the amp in the first place and of course they don't remember that conversation all of a sudden. The problem was a blown fuse... a $2 fuse. Lesson learned, my fault completely, but I will NEVER patronize this store again. I have two other projects that my son wants done to his car and I would have been more than happy to have them do all the work if I felt they were a more reputable business. Houston Car Audio - 2 10s!! - Car Stereo Installation Near Me - Cypress, Texas

When I didn't see a listing in Yelp, I should have kept on looking for a recommended place. But I didn't because the location was convenient. Live and learn. Because my mother didn't have a properly working car radio, I decided a nice early Christmas present would be to buy/install a new car stereo and then get the vehicle detailed. I took the car in and the installation was done quickly, and the mechanic was personable, no problem there. However, he showed me how it worked before I left, but when I got home and demonstrated to my mother, we found we couldn't get any AM channels, only FM. She took the car back right away with the purchase/warranty paperwork to ask they look and determine what the problem was. She was informed that it was likely a problem with the antenna and she needed to go to a regular car mechanic and pay $25 to get it fixed. So she and I went to a car mechanic. The mechanic said he wasn't an expert but he took a look and read through the manual which came with the radio. He then called Houston Car Stereo up himself, with the result that the manager Muhammed agreed it was likely an antenna adapter problem and they would fix it and make it good for free. So BACK we went to HCS where we were told by the original mechanic that they didn't have the type of adapter needed in stock (it's an older car), but their place around the corner might when they opened. So we said we'd sit and wait. The result was that whatever the problem was back behind the radio, the necessary repair was made, and we FINALLY drove away with a functioning radio. I don't want to think that the lack of an adapter in stock or incorrect diagnosis of some other problem originally sent my mother's car home without it functioning properly because that would mean they knowingly were not completing service and selling something that wouldn't work. The good news is that the manager made it right after he got a call from a knowledgeable person. I'm a reasonable person and would happily work with somebody if they were upfront about a problem, and would even be willing to pay more if it was a "car" versus installed equipment problem. Overall, it all worked out finally, but I'm not sure how I feel about the whole experience. read more

Super friendly, always takes care of their customers, always do great work in a quick timely manner. Great prices. Would definitely come back in the future for my next car stereo. read more

I walked in with specifics on what I want and with one three minutes they offered me a $360.00 radio that needs another $165.00 in accessories before installation fees. Not willing to even offer another radio as an option. He said it's the best one they have. I didn't ask for the best one. Once I asked for another option the conversation shut down. Not impressed. read more

Came here to tint my car and they did a very good job! The price was fair as well. I would come here again.

The technician at this shop is the most knowledgeable dude I've met! He is in his element and did a high quality job on my ride! Really hooked it up flushed mounted my sub ports and all the small details matter and this man was on point! Brandon at Houston car audio if you want you electrical done right he's the man! read more

High Quality work done at a fair price. Definitely trust and recommend them. Went there after seeing all the positive reviews, they live up to the reputation. Went in and got all the work done in the same day (already had all the parts ready). Originally was going to do a geek squad installation at best buy but that was a complete and utter rip off, so glad I found this place. read more

I have taken all of my new trucks to Houston Car Stereo for the past 20ish years for a stereo system upgrade. Even though some of these visits were several years apart, Mohammed and Dia recognize me and remember my name as if I was there last week. 20ish years ago (when I was young and broke) I was drawn to HCS by their prices, but after the install I was very impressed with their service and customization skills. While today they're my first choice in stereo upgrade, I still secretly shop prices with their competitors before every purchase just to be safe. I have yet to use another company and always find myself back at Houston Car Stereo making an appointment. I've recommended HCS to friends and they have all been very happy and thank me afterwards. The most recent upgrade was on my 2012 Jeep Wrangler. The install was extremely clean, sounds great, and I wasn't pushed into buying anything I didn't need. read more

I've had alarms and stereo's in all of my vehicle growing up. Being from Cypress area I had tried them all and I've had problems that never got resolved. The first time I went to Houston Car Stereo/Audio was several years ago. I had them fix Car Toys screw-ups and found a liking to their professionalism. Since then I have always been a customer. Any time I have an issue or want to upgrade its never been anything more than pleasant doing business with them. I can tell you in life you will have electronic failures but trusting who you have fix it is key. Kudos to these guys for being around for so long... That has to show you something !!! read more

I went here after going to car toys. I got right in and had my touch screen installed for $160. I was quoted $430 at car toys and Would have had to wait all day. They also wanted to charge me $100 for a wiring harness that I did not need. Also another $100 for the backup camera that I already bought that only required hanging it from my license plate. I will definitely be back to Houston car stereo. They also traded my double din dash plate in for free since I ordered the wrong one. read more

I had previously went to another installer and had a sub and all my factory speakers replaced, but was very unhappy with their service. But I still wanted to improve the sound of my system the owner at Houston Car Audio gave me a decent price, and when I returned with some minor issues he immediately fixed them. He has earned my business and anyone who I know business from now on. The best price is not always the best deal in the long run. I feel that I wasted my money to some extent, seeking the best price with the previous items that I had installed earlier. read more

I bought a used ford truck with an aftermarket radio that had touch screen and backup camera, but Bluetooth and camera had some problems. The manager is super nice, but not that technical, however his tech took it apart while we waited and fixed two out of the three issues. The last issue required rewiring the rear camera feed, which he showed me was poorly done, and he didn't have time to do then, but offered to call me in a few days or make an appointment to come back when he wasn't so busy. Overall, he called me twice with available times, and also fixed everything Very reasonably. I was very pleased with his help and professionalism. Again, the manager's ideas about the radio problems weren't initially the solution, but his tech was excellent and fixed things the manager wasn't sure he could do, but everyone was super nice and I would tell anyone to try them out. It was a lot of trouble for a car stereo they didn't even sell me, and for a reasonable price. read more
