How does this place have 5 stars? How did it survive the pandemic? Who has friendly interactions with this dude? I have had 2 interactions with the owner and each time it has been horrible, 2nd being the worst customer service experience of my life. 1st time: I walk in to his place, because there is a huge sign that says window tint, I had an appointment to get my windows tinted. Little did I know my appointment was literally the building next to him. So I walk up and ask if he's ready to take the keys. He VERY rudely tells me that I do not have an appointment and points next door, then says something in Spanish. I awkwardly turn around and walk away, feeling guilty as if I did something wrong. 2nd time: Fast forward a few months to today. I'm looking to get a new single or double din with wireless carplay. I see Tomball Audio and its raving reviews, not knowing its the same guy who was extremely rude last time. We have a friendly conversation, and he asks if I have a back up camera, I say yes, He asks me to pull up my car, when he takes a look inside and says "bro you already got a system all you need is the deck!" I know absolutely nothing about car radios, if I did, I wouldn't be at a store where you pay to have a stereo installed. I do know that aftermarket radios need harnesses, I did not know that it was specific to the vehicle and not the deck itself. The way I learn is asking questions from knowledgeable people. He took this as a challenge, he ever said verbatim "You keep interrupting me bro, I keep trying to tell you" in a very challenging and almost belligerent way. But he wasn't really saying anything, he was kinda answering my questions, but not really. Example: When he says "Oh you already got a system, you just need the radio!" Well I was looking at single dins and have a double din installed, so I said "What about converting to a single din, when I have a double installed" He replays "It's just a spacer, well order from them" Then proceeds to tell me that "everything is back ordered, just order it online" I say "Even the kit? Can I order that?" he says "What kit man, I just told you, you don't need anything. So after he calls me out on "talking too fast and interrupting him" (I'm a 100% disabled Vet with severe PTSD) I say to him (not knowing he's actually really pissed) "Yeah my wife tells me that all the time, I'm working on it, I sincerely apologize" Then this dude has the audacity to say "I'm not your wife bro, I don't have to deal with you." Then turns his back on me and walks away. I'm once again standing there, dumbfounded. I have never in my 37 years on this planet experienced something like this. I do my best to go out of my way to be overly polite, but apparently something about me rubbed him the wrong way. I would avoid this man like the plague and his shed of a shop like the plague. read more

I had asked Alberto(owner) of Car Audio Tomball to put a 5% tint on my windows and 25% on the front. When I went to pick it up he charged me full price what he said it would be(wasn't cheap), I payed only for my car to look like it had a cheaper maybe 15% film put on all my back windows. It also now had a lot of white streak lines that run vertical down my windows. When I called him if he could look at it, he said he would but wouldn't do anything anymore unless I payed him to add another "5%" film on top of his "5%" film that HE eased up for the full price he charged the first time! I should have just kept it the way they were now I have to pay for someone to take it off and re start which will be another costly expense. read more

Alberto, the owner and worker, is a joke! He did tint work for two of my vehicles a couple of years ago and the tint job was ok, there were bubbles on both vehicles in places that weren't in obvious places, so I let it go. I wanted to continue to support local businesses, so when I decided to tint my new vehicle, I called him hoping he'd have more experience by now. He quoted me for a ceramic tint and I told him I'd call him back to schedule it. I called him a week later and he increased his price by $50. He claimed he didn't remember talking to me! My first clue not to do business with him again should have been the bubbles in the tint, of course, but that he didn't even have ability to provide receipts when he did the work on my other cars! And last week when I called for pricing, he still didn't have ability to send me a quote, which is usually normal business practice, so they can honor their word in case they "forget"! If you're looking for a loyal business that is ran correctly, run away from Alberto, Car Audio Tomball! There are so many other tint places that will actually appreciate your business and not just take your money. I wonder if he's even running legally! read more
