It is so refreshing to find people in their industry that are more concerned with finding the problem than they are with selling new equipment. I walked in today more than prepared to have to buy a new head unit because I thought mine had gone bad and instead, they did some highly professional troubleshooting And fixed the problem with my existing head unit and it saved me $600. I highly highly highly recommend Pedro and his team. Thank you for great service. read more

Great, excellent customer service & installation. Juan, the sales person, assured me by phone, that they could install a back up camera which I really needed, (couldn't see a thing back there) on my 2008 Jeep Rubicon. Also had to change out the stereo, which now feels like I'm driving a newer jeep. I am totally satisfied, great prices, great customer service & a very clean shop! read more

I recently purchased an older (2007) Toyota 4Runner. After buying the car I realized that there wasn't a place to plug in my phone, the car had a cigarette lighter and no USB outlet. So I decided to upgrade the stereo because I can't live without Spotify. I shopped around and ultimately decided on Car Audio Zone. I installed a new stereo and had them install a backup camera on my 4Runner. Car Audio Zone did a wonderful job, I'm very happy with the entire process from selecting the stereo, installation, and price. If you're in a similar situation and need to upgrade your car consider Car Audio Zone. read more

worst install of my life bricked my car they won't take accountability so I have to file a lawsuit

So I went here a couple months back to get a subwoofer and amp installed in my wife's 2024 Palisade. This was my fourth time using this shop. I have went to them for multiple vehicles and never felt that I got did too bad. this time was a completely different experience. I had the amp subwoofer and even the line out converter already I went in and not only did this cost me 500+ dollars just for labor and a wiring kit, but they took a CB and other things out of my vehicle and never put them back in, then expect me to drive across town to pick these items up in my vehicle. After telling me one of the reasons they charge me such a high price on everything was because they time was valuable and not for free. But expecting me to use My gas tolls and time. They then lied and said they would have it delivered and sorry for all the inconvenience but here it is months later and I still never received my items. I would stay away from this place if you can I also watch them charge a lady over $1500 for some cheap equipment installed in her car poor lady. In response to the reply. The custom box he talked about he charged me $160 for when it was only $80. That was the most expensive site I could find. So it was a run of the mill box you could buy anywhere. So no where near a custom box. See they will lie to make themselves look good. Bunch of crooks. And for the other customer that was there she could've went and got all of that stuff for about $600 at the flea market. This company is forcing you to pay for their move because when I went to their other locations, I never paid near what I paid here and I had even had them supply equipment to me and paid for less money, these guys act very friendly but as soon as you challenged them it any kind of question that they don't like they get very defensive. Also beware and keep all receipts because every time I have ever went in their supposed computer system deleted me as a customer. They keep no records so that they don't have to do any warranty work later. Trust me. read more

Very personal service from the owner, who went out of his way to find me the best deal and the best fit for my vehicle. When there were some initial problems with the installation, they knuckled down and got everything perfect. Couldn't ask for a better deal. read more

Had a JBL spare tire powered sub installed and tint done in my Explorer ST. Communication with Juan was great, and we negotiated a fair price for the whole job. Dropped the vehicle off the night before, and picked it up the next day. After a bit of tuning the sub to the stock system, everything sounded pretty good. Tint is still curing, but overall decent job. read more

Awesome everything. Super knowledgeable Guy. Got me taken care of at the same day and in a quick time. Refreshing to see customer service this great. Don't hesitate to take your vehicle there for any work they offer, they will get you taken care of for a good price! 11/10 read more

They lied over the phone to get me there. They gave me a price & when I showed up I asked How much was it again for 2 Speakers I seen a A light bulb Click in his head & He said A completely different number I immediately Knew Theses Guys are crooks & tired to take advantage. I left And when to CJ Audio They didn't have sized for my speakers So they priced matched they speaks they did have & Installed them in my Car less than 30 minutes These guys we're dragging there feet and said maybe we might have it done in a few hours & tired uping price I would NOT recommend I am going back to Cj Audio's to have subs put in read more

Initially called to inquire about replacing my speakers as one of them blew out. The service over the phone was great, the staff was very knowledgeable. After that, I felt comfortable choosing them after calling around so came by and they know their stuff here. They actually let you know pros/cons to choosing different speakers and not just trying to make a sale by selling something cheap then your speaker blows out and you have to come back. Not to mention, the speed of their service was immaculate! Initially they said it could take 1 to 1 1/2 hours, depending, but it only took 45 minutes. As far as pricing, you pay for the speaker + the labor/installation. I got the basic speaker, which they sell them in pairs (not just one) and it came out to $214 (after taxes). Definitely recommend 10/10! read more

Car Audio Zone - Car Stereo Installation Near Me - Houston, Texas

My truck radio stopped working, after reading reviews I decided to stop by Car Audio Zone, just to check them out. I was greeted by Juan, he had a smile and asked how he could help. I explained my problem, he stop what he was working on just to check out my radio. He explained he would need to take the radio out to check, he then asked me to wait in their waiting area. Within a short period of time he make back in a to tell me he had it fixed, he found the problem. I was happy, it's hard to ride around Houston without a radio. Juan was great, and knowledgeable, a real pro. he asked if there was anything else he could help me. I asked if he could install a new mirror on the drivers side and replace my head lights because they had changed color due to age Texas Sun. this is another story to write about. I highly recommend using Juan to help you, he took care of my problem. Thanks Juan. read more

These guys did great! Shawn the owner was communicative and on top of it from day 1. We had a BMW z4 (2003 vintage) that needed a radio overhaul to replace the factory radio (no Bluetooth, no USB, etc). They swapped it, replaced the speakers, we upgraded for a tiny job and sound dampening (it's a convertible)...wife loves it! The prices were right, and install on time. We can't recommend them enough. read more

I stopped by due to an error from another audio company. The owner was extremely helpful and patient with me and my issue despite being short-staffed. We resolved it, and I was back up and running quickly. read more

This is not a fake review. My experience was EXCEPTIONAL! Shawn and the crew are professional, friendly, knowledgeable and honest. The price was reasonable and the product installation was great, but it is really their character and customer service that will bring me back for additional services. Shaw communicated with me each step of the way, never tried to up sale me or offer anything I didn't need. He also went out of his way to assist me finding an extremely affordable rental car if I needed it. Talk about decreasing my stress level. That is the kind of man he is. The guy that installed the equipment went out of his way to show me how to use the new equipment when he didn't have to - and as a simple kindness, he even popped a part of my car into place so it wouldn't drag the ground. (I'm hate that I can't remember his name right now.) He has a great sense of humor. You can always find people to install equipment or fix things, but getting the whole package is hard to find in Houston because there are so many competing businesses out there. If you are in doubt about where to take your vehicle, don't even think about it - just come here. You won't be disappointed. read more

Great service, very attentive, always willing to help and fix, always about quality work. I recommend this place. get with Juan

I had a rattle inside my C7 Z06 Corvette on both of my doors that was driving me crazy, so I took it to Car Audio Zone this past weekend. Not knowing what to expect from a workmanship aspect because you never know if people know what they are doing. However, Juan the service tech assured me that he believed he would be able to take care of the issue. He had the car overnight and I got the car back the next day and low and behold, he fixed the rattles. I couldn't be more pleased with the work as it was like the door panels were never even off and the stereo now sounds amazing. I will definitely use them for all my vehicles going forward. I would also say that the price I believe was far for the amount of tedious work needed to be done, remember... you get what you pay for and I would rather pay a few extra dollars to ensure my cars are taken care of. read more

Great customer service. Juan was very helpful and made my son's first car bang. He will definitely be turning into a bass head like his daddy used to be. read more

I just bought a 2007 Cadillac SRX, and the radio wasn't working,so I decided to see who my fellow yelpers recommended...Yelp hasn't failed me yet... so since Car Zone had 5 stars, I decided to give them a try..... I dropped in after work today 4/21 on a Tuesday evening no appointment, really just to see what my options were. There was one tech working who I actually talked to and explained what was going on, he listened, and suggested to me what needed to be done, and he did it,while I waited. He did a great job, and was very knowledgeable. I also met with the owner who was also a very nice guy. I will be a repeat customer! read more

Shawn and his crew were great, fair prices and very knowledgeable and helpful. I have a Classic Lincoln which not everybody is familiar with but they did a fantastic job and I love my viper remote start. I would definitely recommend Car Audio Zone! read more

These are good people, not perfect but good. I had some safety features installed along with new radio in my '09 E350. The first round was a disaster, ripped front panel, reversed lines on the blind spot, no antenna for basic radio. 4 times going back and they stepped up and fixed all. The blind spot is still a little cluegy and I just don't have time for 5th visit. These are very nice people, honest in making sure I was happy.. just needs a little refinement on quality control and knowing the products they sell. read more

Customer for life! Shawn and his team (Juan and Ramon) installed a flip down movie player in my car this morning. I had been in contact with Shawn in regards to the best option for aftermarket entertainment. Today, I arrived a few minutes before my appointment time and was out in two hours, after being quoted the max 3.5 hours. Shawn was out but talked to me on the phone about the pros/cons and warranty. Ramon greeted me and was very helpful and completed the install of the product. Sure, you *might* be able to purchase your equipment for less on a big box website, but, it was worth it to me to be able to see my options in house. Ramon unboxed each items for me so I could see the difference. I will be back to have Apple Play installed! Thanks again! You are going to preserve my sanity on a Florida road trip with my three kids under 5! read more

I recently had my receiver and speakers installed from a small mom & pop place in East End that messed everything up. So bad it eventually stopped working all together. I happened to be in the area and the guys were able to make time for me today (Saturday). One of the techs, Juan, kept me up to do on necessary repairs and things that he recommended. Sent me pictures, and even showed me himself. Everything was incredibly professional and genuine. The previous place really messed a whole lot up, but Juan fixed everything and then some. I won't be going anywhere else for now on. Highly recommended across the board. Thanks again guys! read more
