Had a JBL spare tire powered sub installed and tint done in my Explorer ST. Communication with Juan was great, and we negotiated a fair price for the whole job. Dropped the vehicle off the night before, and picked it up the next day. After a bit of tuning the sub to the stock system, everything sounded pretty good. So I went here a couple months back to get a subwoofer and amp installed in my wife's 2024 Palisade. This was my fourth time using this shop. I have went to them for multiple vehicles and never felt that I got did too bad. this time was a completely different experience. I had the amp subwoofer and even the line out converter already I went in and not only did this cost me 500+ dollars just for labor and a wiring kit, but they took a CB and other things out of my vehicle and never put them back in, then expect me to drive across town to pick these items up in my vehicle. After telling me one of the reasons they charge me such a high price on everything was because they time was valuable and not for free. But expecting me to use My gas tolls and time. They then lied and said they would have it delivered and sorry for all the inconvenience but here it is months later and I still never received my items. I would stay away from this place if you can I also watch them charge a lady over $1500 for some cheap equipment installed in her car poor lady. In response to the reply. The custom box he talked about he charged me $160 for when it was only $80. That was the most expensive site I could find. So it was a run of the mill box you could buy anywhere. So no where near a custom box. See they will lie to make themselves look good. Bunch of crooks. And for the other customer that was there she could've went and got all of that stuff for about $600 at the flea market. This company is forcing you to pay for their move because when I went to their other locations, I never paid near what I paid here and I had even had them supply equipment to me and paid for less money, these guys act very friendly but as soon as you challenged them it any kind of question that they don't like they get very defensive. Also beware and keep all receipts because every time I have ever went in their supposed computer system deleted me as a customer. Initially called to inquire about replacing my speakers as one of them blew out. The service over the phone was great, the staff was very knowledgeable. After that, I felt comfortable choosing them after calling around so came by and they know their stuff here. They actually let you know pros/cons to choosing different speakers and not just trying to make a sale by selling something cheap then your speaker blows out and you have to come back. Not to mention, the speed of their service was immaculate! Initially they said it could take 1 to 1 1/2 hours, depending, but it only took 45 minutes. As far as pricing, you pay for the speaker + the labor/installation. I got the basic speaker, which they sell them in pairs (not just one) and it came out to $214 (after taxes). I explained my problem, he stop what he was working on just to check out my radio. He explained he would need to take the radio out to check, he then asked me to wait in their waiting area. Within a short period of time he make back in a to tell me he had it fixed, he found the problem. I was happy, it's hard to ride around Houston without a radio. This is not a fake review. My experience was EXCEPTIONAL! Shawn and the crew are professional, friendly, knowledgeable and honest. The price was reasonable and the product installation was great, but it is really their character and customer service that will bring me back for additional services. Shaw communicated with me each step of the way, never tried to up sale me or offer anything I didn't need. He also went out of his way to assist me finding an extremely affordable rental car if I needed it. Talk about decreasing my stress level. That is the kind of man he is. The guy that installed the equipment went out of his way to show me how to use the new equipment when he didn't have to - and as a simple kindness, he even popped a part of my car into place so it wouldn't drag the ground. (I'm hate that I can't remember his name right now.) He has a great sense of humor. You can always find people to install equipment or fix things, but getting the whole package is hard to find in Houston because there are so many competing businesses out there. I had a rattle inside my C7 Z06 Corvette on both of my doors that was driving me crazy, so I took it to Car Audio Zone this past weekend. Not knowing what to expect from a workmanship aspect because you never know if people know what they are doing. However, Juan the service tech assured me that he believed he would be able to take care of the issue. He had the car overnight and I got the car back the next day and low and behold, he fixed the rattles. I couldn't be more pleased with the work as it was like the door panels were never even off and the stereo now sounds amazing. I will definitely use them for all my vehicles going forward. These are good people, not perfect but good. I had some safety features installed along with new radio in my '09 E350. The first round was a disaster, ripped front panel, reversed lines on the blind spot, no antenna for basic radio. 4 times going back and they stepped up and fixed all. The blind spot is still a little cluegy and I just don't have time for 5th visit. I had been in contact with Shawn in regards to the best option for aftermarket entertainment.
