Shawn and his team at Car Audio Zone are fantastic. I had access to great prices on speakers, amp, and a subwoofer from other sources. Shawn agreed to install them for a very reasonable price. When he looked into it, he explained that because I was keeping the factory head unit, I needed a channel converter, and gave me several options, ranging from very inexpensive to expensive. I weighed my options and chose the one best for me. The system was installed on a Saturday, although he told me it might need to be kept over until Monday. I told him and his excellent installers, I really wanted it that day, so they stayed past 7pm and completed it for me. Shawn had to leave the store for an hour or so, so he let me camp out on the sofa in his office instead of being out front where people could see me and bang on the door. That's service you don't expect. The work was flawless and done professionally. The system sounds amazing and I couldn't be more pleased. Shawn was honest and kept me informed all of the way. His installers are pleasant and professional. I keep thinking of the huge grin on the face of the main installer when he had me sit in the car for the first time after the install. I had my car speakers done back in March. The service was quick and both gentlemen were very nice. My speakers blew out about a year and a half ago if not two years ago. I've been riding around with only tweeters and door speakers first of all, because my cars model doesn't come with back speakers but holes for them ‍‍. Then only my passenger side door speaker and tweeter worked and if I slammed the door hard enough then my drivers side would work . They also explain everything carefully so you understand exactly what's going on. I plan on putting in 4 subs at 200 rms each. Not only did he get on a computer and find out exactly what type of amp I would need, he also printed out a diagram of how to have it wired in case I went to another shop. I now know exactly what type of subs to buy and the amp I would need. I plan on coming back for the rest of my install. They also do financing if needed. I got 4 speakers replaced. paid $800 for radio and speaker installation, worked fine for a day after leaving their shop. my radio started having problems ( such as turning off my AC , radio shutting off while driving, or my subs turning off while driving) , i called them to see if they could fix , i came in 2 days later ( yesterday ) , and asked if they could look at it. They ended up "fixing" the problem and decided to charge me another $75 for it. even though should've been done right the first time . oh but now i got a "lifetime warranty" for the $75 , lol. Anyways .. here I am a day later , its still shutting off while i drive, at this point im just fed up. goin somewhere else. USED to recommend, not anymore | REPLYING TO BACK OWNER: if this factory radio was damaged , then why wasnt i informed of that? I recently had music installed in my 2019 F-150... They were low-level installers and they hooked me up with the basic starter kit, Rockford 12inch subs, pioneer 6x9's, Rockford amps and this LC7I crap to enhance the head unit. I didn't like the sound of this set-up...I can either salvage the converter by getting a aftermarket head-unit or upgrade to a better converter. Either way it will cost about the same, after installation. I drove around for 5 weeks.. Called various so called "Professional"installers.. I wasn't satisfied with these guys approach on installing this radio on my new truck.. So, finally I got a hit through, Yelp. I came across Car Auto Zone and these guys had great reviews. I seen a photo of a 2018 F-150 they done and the outcome was what I was looking for. I called the shop to schedule my appointment and talked with the owner. He seemed to know what I wanted and how to deliver the best results, for a reasonable price. Let me just say these guys have over exceeded my expectations. This after market head unit has more features than my factory unit... This is something I didn't expect being my truck has the latest features, but I was wrong. The sound is awesome! This was the experience I've had with my 2014 Accord speaker replacement -- which is something very basic and easy: 1) Techs thought it would be a good idea to install my speaker crossover in the interior bottom of my door panel with BARE wires exposed to moisture. I was greeted with wires that had literally shorted and melted off of the crossover unit. Was told by owner they solder all connections. Every connection in my vehicle was simply capped and crimped -- no soldered/shrink wrapped connections anywhere. Update to review: My front speakers were fully replaced without charge and installed properly where crossovers would not be exposed to moisture. Shop let me inspect the work, and soldered these connections. I'm back up and running, but will need to be clear and inspect work in the future. I appreciate their willingness to make the work right. read more

I had just got a car and the main thing I wanted was a stereo with Apple CarPlay so I can have maps up front instead of going to my phone while driving. As soon as i told them and what type of car I had they broke down the additional parts needed for the install and the prices way before I got to look at what stereo units they had. That's good so you know what you are working with price wise. Once they went over the units and the different features as well as the differences and prices I picked which one I wanted and they gave me the total price up front. Told them I was ready on the spot for the install and gave them the keys. It did take a little longer than they told me initially, but they explained as soon as it was finished that some parts they did not have in store, but they went out to get them. I have had three different trucks alarmed by Shawn and crew over the last few years, and just picked up my Tundra that they straightened out the head unit install that I had totally fat-fingered. Many shops won't even undertake such jobs, Shawn's crew (Juan this time) did it with a smile, touched base with me to fine-tune what I wanted, and had it totally dialed-in and back in my hands in just a little over 24 hours from drop-off. Their charge for that job was unbelievably inexpensive, now every option available on my complex head unit is now available to me to use. Working with Juan for the install on my F150 was a breeze. Because of the limited space behind the back seat (about 3 inches), it was a challenge, but nothing Car Audio couldn't handle. Juan asked me exactly what I wanted from the install, and more importantly what I did not want. As I have my backseats folded up almost 100% of the time, putting my 10" hideaway under the seat wasn't an option. Juan was able to fit it perfectly behind the rear seat with no cutting or drilling, and put the bass control knob exactly where I wanted it. I've had a system of some sort in every vehicle I've owned, and I know a clean install when I see one. Overall I do not have any complaints and love my new system in my truck. The best customer service you could expect. I went in with a fairly difficult vehicle, Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland with the touch screen. The factory alpine system just didn't have the power it needed. The 6x9s and tweeters were flat. I had them replace those speakers with the infinity kappas and they sound great. Getting a a system like this right has been a small hill to climb. I had to return three times to have it tweaked but s lot of that was for my preferences and the guys had zero issues opening it back up and making adjustments.
