I was referred here by family members for tinting of car windows. I was told it would take 1.5 hrs. Arrived at 1:30 pm. I left the property and spent some time away. Came back at 2:30pm to wait the other half hour. There was a sign on the locked entry door that read "Out to lunch. Will return at 2:40pm". I waited outside until 3:00pm, a younger gentleman opened the door, while walking inside, I asked him if it was okay to wait inside and he said yes. He walked in before me and did not even hold the door, which closed in my face. Very poor customer service. I entered and then asked him, "How much longer will it take?". He said not much longer. The waiting area was filled with filthy seating, as I waited in this area totally alone. I was very offended and requested my receipt at this time. I did not leave there until after 4pm. I will NEVER recommend this place to anyone, based on wait time that was given and granted, Nor would I recommend it based upon the very poor, inconsiderate customer service. Stay away from this company if you have a sound system to put in. I have been to an appointment for a week now. Been to the shop three times making sure that I have everything I need for my appointment they told me I had everything. after waiting a week to get my music done I get there the price goes up $700. As if there is a lack of communication with the people you're paying they do not honor their prices at all. Because they said that I needed a couple extra wires and the guy who gave me the price didn't know I had a high amp. After I had sent them pictures and you viewed everything I had. And even if he missed the high amp. To charge $700 to put a $150 high amp in is outrageous. These or price gouging like everyone else, but you get what you give so it will come back around to them. Word of advice deal with a computational can honor there prices and not play mind games with people, sizing you up as you walk through the door to see how much they think they can over charge you, instead of charging a fair price. DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE! A few months back I had purchased tint, sub installation, and an alarm. After the alarm installation was done, the MANAGER mentioned I wont be able to use my stock remote start anymore. He did not mention this before the purchase or before the work was done (TERRIBLE customer service.) I did not have the time to sit there and wait another 4 hours for them to remove it, nor did I want to spend the overpriced amount to upgrade it(HE BLAMED ME FOR THIS!!!!). Some months later I started having connection problems with my speakers, which he REFUSED to acknowledge and only tried to offer an expensive (~$400) solution. Additionally, I called to ask if they could remove the new alarm(without remote start,) as it is getting cold, and he said they would have to charge me extra, and he would NOT refund the purchase (even if i agreed to upgrade, WOW!). All this "Manager" wants is your money, in which he will trick you into upgrading things that don't need to be upgraded, and he does NOT care about customer service. He also referred to me as "bro." I can not stress how unprofessional and unacceptable this "service" is/was. $355 officially wasted on this place. I've been aware of yelp for a while and this is my first review, but the distaste left in my mouth after this made me sign up and write this. I hope you make the right decision. Was a little nervous about visiting the shop, it's in a cheesy, shady, old, strip plaza. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Installed electronics work fine but the re-installation of the car hardware was lacking. Things are barely hanging on the door and dash, half inch gaps, and not all screws were re-installed. Today, the bracket/assembly that holds my window and lock controls fell out of the armrest. That's when I discovered the missing screw. I'll pay someone else to make repairs. Their window tint prices were $50.00 higher that other shops. I'll stick with Car Toys from here on out. read more

This was my go to place for my car audio. I've spent some money over the past few years with them. Recently bought an alarm system, revamped my door speakers and new subs all in the same day. I ended up returning the subs because they didn't perform as described. I then make an appointment to put my original ones back in after another suggestion was offered. When I went in for the subs at my appointment time I was told to come back next day. Get there next day for the same appointment time I waited around 2 1/2 hrs to get service. I've made another appointment to be re-tuned again after I put my previous subs back in but still wasn't what I was looking for after listening a couple days. After the change in management it just doesn't have the same vibes nor the customer service experienced prior. I'm stuck now because I don't even want to take it back for another music tune and will most likely have to go spend even more money somewhere else to get it right. My husband was using these guys for awhile because it was the only place near us. I will say one of the guys that works there can be very rude at times but the owner is very nice. My main issue with them is we were told something could not be done with our headlights but yet our mechanic was able to. Prices are decent just would appreciate the other guy that works there to be a little nicer. read more

This place is actually located at Perry Rd and FM 1960. Came here to uninstall my RF t1 15's, alpine 2400 w mono block, Memphis 6x9's, 4 channel amp along with all the wires and fuses from my 2010 impala. Got there at 1030 am and they had everything out by 1230. Then they built a custom box for my 15's and installed my amp and speakers in my 2014 Avalon. They stayed til 8 pm finishing when they close at 7. These guys are legit! They finished all of it in the same day! Very professional and knowledgeable. I called and bugged them all day bc I was so excited to hear it! They were very understanding of this not sounding annoyed even once lol Had a small problem with the amp going to safe mode so they fixed it the next day no problem and NO CHARGE!!! Couldn't be happier! It sounds so good I don't want to get out of my car! Getting my wife's Scion FR-S tinted today and will never go anywhere else again! Especially frequency... Stay away from those crooks! They are bad news and cheap for a reason. Thanks Shawn, Frank and your whole crew for staying late making my system perfect! Recently got a small 10 sub installed in my truck. A little pricey, but it sounds pretty good. Didn't take them long at all either. MP Audio at Perry and 1960 is the WORST audio place in Houston. I have a 2010 Camaro SS ..and was charged 3200 for a 700 dollar screen, 6x9s and front speakers, a 12 inch kicker and a "custom" box, and halo lights . I've had constant problems with my car since I left that place. They forgot to screw in my six by nines, they left scratch marks all over my console from their screwdrivers (really deep wide ones that look bad) , gave me cheap shitty halos, wired everything to my battery which drained it and had it die daily, they wired everything rly sketchy and a lot of things were held together with old shitty screws of different kinds and everything barley was in place, they like hot glued my halos into place and left hot glue all over my headlight looks like a child did it, all the wiring is crammed into corners and places instead of properly measured and placed and had exposed fire hazard wires, the screen fell out as I drove off, the screen adapter was draining my car and would not work and buttons always got stuck, the "HIDs" I bought were LEDs and they broke quickly and don't work now, the subwoofer box was supposed to be custom and when I took it apart it was just a wall with a subwoofer screwed in by one screw, my traction control button was broken by them, and there's a huge grease stain on my ceiling and can't get it out. Shaun the owner would always tell me to come by so he can fix it when I complained then he would only fix one thing just to end up breaking somthing else that wasn't put together properly...Shaun did always say to come back and have it fixed but I mean...u saw how much stuff was wrong so I got tired of going back just to find out more problems...plus he would tell me to come back on a certain date then when the date would come id go up there and it'd be closed for some holiday...every professional audio store I take it to says that it looks like a first timer did it or someone who doesn't know what they're doing cuz it's all done wrong...a lot of my friends who work on cars said the same. I typed this first draft and don't know a lot about cars so excuse my poor vocabulary...but in conclusion I think Shaun was nice. I sure hope he didn't do it all on purpose to make extra cash but I think either they all knew what they were doing (I know the technicians knew for sure ) or Shaun is getting taken advantage of by his techs. Luckily I've had a lot of stuff fixed but Ima be paying to have this car fixed for a while...lets just hope my car doesn't catch on fire or break in the mean time.. I'm just frustrated cuz I've seriously found over 20-25 problems with what they did which shows total disregard for what I have to go through after it leaves the lot read more
