I had previously rated this company 5 stars, but I'm forced to change, due to their lack of accountability. I had my windscreen replaced on our Tacoma by Safe Tech Auto Glass, at Tejas Toyota at the beginning of the month. After the replacement, we started having water come into the cabin on the passenger side, in the blower motor area. We contacted Safe Tech (spoke to Jacob), whom advised to have the vehicle taken back to Tejas, where his technician will have a look. Got to the dealership, technician Ryan asked me to accompany him to the back, and reported that he doesn't see any leak anywhere. I explained where it was coming in and he stated that he would check it out with another colleague. After about 45 minutes, Ryan came back in to let me know that the issue is fixed. He stated that there was a flap that was not sitting correctly in the cowl area, but he has repositioned it, and all is well. On the way home, I went through the car wash to verify, and the vehicle still leaked on the passenger side. I spoke to Jacob again, whom assured me that he will be sending out his Lead Tech, Blake to my house the following day to check it out. Blake came out, I explained the situation. He then took a water bottle and sprayed the area and sure enough it was dripping through the cab. He advised me that he was the original installer of the windscreen, and states that there is a flap that is sometimes misplaced. He said the he will definitely ensure that all is well. After staying with him in my driveway, Blake assured me that the issue is resolved, and I shouldn't have any more leaks. I went to the car wash again shortly after, and lo and behold, we were leaking even more than before. When I messaged Blake, he stated that it may be a Toyota "body" defect, and I should take it to Toyota. I text Jacob to let him know, and show him pictures and he didn't respond until the next day, when I was on the phone with USAA/Safelite Escalations contacted his office, at which point, he messaged back with an excuse for not contacting me earlier. Fast forward to my appointment with the dealership... The Service Technician stated that one of the clips inside of the cowl is bent, due to an improper re-installation of the cowl. The only team that has touched this is Safe Tech. Their lack of accountability should be a warning to customers that they will do whatever to damage your vehicle, then not take responsibility for it. Very bad business. Please understand that I consider myself rather patient, but at some point, my patience runs out. This was the same company that replaced my windscreen on my 4Runner twice prior to this, and first time, they sliced right through my dashcam cable, and the second, they did not aim my Automatic Braking / Radar Camera correctly, causing my vehicle to stop a few times on Interstate 69 for no reason. These guys come up nicely to you, smile, they're kind, and want you to add a 5 star review after their service, but my recommendation is just to watch what they're doing, since their staff lacks any kind of accountability. read more

This company put me through Hell...literally. Do NOT use them! The front windshield was broken on my Kia Stinger and I took it to Safe Tech to be repaired/replaced. I made the $750 payment (insurance deductible...total cost was over $1600) and only after I made my payment was told I needed to drive 60 miles round trip because the installer where I lived (Sugar Land) did not have the ability to calibrate the car after the windshield was installed. I had to drive to their main office. After the window was installed I was informed by the tech that they could not calibrate the car and that I would have to have the dealership do so. This was at 5 in the afternoon and the shop was closing, so I had no choice in the matter. I got in the car and the air conditioning was blowing hot air. The heat index was 110 degrees that day (we were having a heat wave here in Houston) and I was stuck boiling in rush hour traffic on beltway 8 for more than an hour. By the time I arrived home after 6 I had a mild case of heat stroke (I am 61). I called them the next day and told them they damaged the air conditioning. The owner replied that they could not possibly have caused the problem. The owner told me repeatedly "we are a family company" which made me think of the Manson family. He denied all responsibility. I was without a car for nearly a week and had to lay out cash for an Uber several times. The dealership had to do extensive research and finally discovered that Safe Tech had in fact cut the wiring to my air conditioning. The whole experience was an absolute nightmare. They never even said they were sorry, or offered me any type of compensation. Don't use this company, they will damage your car, leave you in an extremely bad situation, and then deny responsibility. read more

Safelite didn't seal my front windshield well, so it had a huge leak. Went to the Safe Tech and Joe Myers Toyota and had it revealed. The tech eradicated the leak. I initially thought he didn't. It was a Friday afternoon around 1pm and I suddenly found myself with a busted out rear window on my F-150. Since I had to go out of town on Sunday, time was of the essence and I started calling around to see if anyone could squeeze me in. After being told that Monday would be the earliest by half a dozen people, I rang Safe Tech Auto Glass and after speaking with a lovely young lady for a few minutes, she put me through to Austin, the Operations Manager, who checked the schedule and informed me that his technicians were all booked up until Monday as well, BUT that he would be more than happy to do it for me on Saturday. We discussed the best route to take in regards to which glass to put back in and then he sent me the appointment confirmation. The next day I took it in and after a few hours I drove away with the truck looking as good as new. Austin even vacuumed out all the broken glass from the back seat, in my under seat storage, the box of the truck and under even under the carpet. The attention to detail was incredible and truly appreciated. Probably the best part of the experience however was the entire staff. Everyone I met there on Saturday was extremely friendly, beyond polite and just seemed genuinely happy, which is a rarity in customer service jobs nowadays. They made the few hour wait breeze by. Had my Toyota Tacoma in the shop today. Sterling McCall. The techs said 30 minutes. After one hour - I came out to the shop to check on my Tacoma that was supposed to be just getting a very small crack repaired. Neither one of the two technicians were anywhere to be found. Next - one come's driving up in another vehicle. Did not bother to inform me that my car was ready. The repair had a dimple noticeable from the exterior and could be felt. There was a cloud in the application and the glue or whatever was left on the windshield. When I asked about the job, they said this was normal. In previous work - having chips repaired at Sterling McCall Toyota - the job was more professional, no dimples, the chip was clear, and they cleaned up their mess. I even tipped the technician for the work. This was very unprofessional job as well as service - not calling me (cellphone) after complete. Would not suggest Safe Tech Auto Glass to anyone, very poor service and quality of their employees. read more

Momentum Range Rover had recommended Safe Tech to me to have my windshield replaced with the OEM windshield and these are usually hard to get without waiting 5 or 6 weeks. But Ouinton at Safe Tech got me one in two days and had Andrew come to my house to replace the old windshield, what a delight to work with Andrew the installation tech. On 11/8/19 I woke up @around 7am ready to enjoy my day off. Heading to my car @8am I noticed that the window on the driver's side was on the ground. So were the windows of 2 vehicles next to me.This is the second year in a row (around the same time) that thieves targeted my apartment complex and the surrounding complexes, and both years my car was one of them. Ross worked on my windshield and did an amazing job. A) he spotted the problem right away, and alerted me to the fact that the crack in my windshield was spreading. He let me know that if he took care of it now he would be able to persevere the integrity of my windshield. Now mind you this was a new truck all together. And I didn't even see the hairline crack that was headed right towards my driver side until he pointed it out to me. That would have been disastrous. He educated me on the damages that can be caused to the glass as well as the air that had oxidized in the crack.
