Raphael, it turns out is an old car stereo guy that I had done business through Pioneer and Eclipse. He had stacks of JL Audio all around the store. (Todd, are you reading this?) Raphel and HyperAudio opened for us on Sunday to do a 3D Ceramic Coating on Agee's new Audi Q7. Stellar job and by far, the best pricing for quality that I could locate. (Dealer wanted $1995! Ack!). Raphael and HyperAudio have been in business for nearly 30 years and I applaud him. Car Audio has not been the easiest road over the last few years, but these guys continue to offer quality at a fair price. Brought my 2012 Charger in to replace hands free module. After paying for an uber to pick up my car after confirming it was ready, they then informed me once I was in the shop that they had in fact lost my key fob, and that there was no way I can take it with me. They then proceeded to tell me they had other things to take care of, and left me in their lobby to figure things out. This place has zero customer service capabilities and no solidified business practices in place to help maintain reasonable accountability. DO NOT TRUST THEM. Update: after 3 hours of waiting after hours, one of the "managers" showed up upon reading the first part of this yelp review to not only curse me out repeatedly, but to physically threaten me for posting a negative review. I took my truck up there and prepaid 1100 for a rhino box with two 10" subs on a Saturday they said would be there next Friday. Then they called me and said they won't be ordered until the next Tuesday so it would be a total of two weeks before I would get them. So I told them to get me something else because I didn't want to wait that long. So they got me a different box that cost 300.00 and two speakers that costs a total of 500.00 plus tax. Worst place I have ever gone. At first service was great but my husband was promised to have grills put on his speakers. And we got the run around. First the grills were coming in a week, then they got the wrong size to wait another week. After that story didnt work the owner stopped answering the phone and whenever we went up to the place he was never available. (LITERALLY) UNBELIEVABLY HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! ZERO STARS. I had complete tint jobs competed on 2 vehicles here. After several weeks, the tint on the rear window on one of the vehicles began producing numerous large bubbles throughout. When I purchased the tint, I was sold a "lifetime warranty" on the tint. I brought my vehicle into the store last Saturday to have my tint fixed on my rear window, under warranty. The man at the counter informed me that they were very busy that day, and to return the following Saturday (today) at opening. According to their Google page, they open at 10am, so I arrived shortly before 10am this morning to have my tint fixed (as instructed previously). Upon arrival, Mike (who refused to give me his name), looked at my tint and stated, "These bubbles aren't from our tint. Our tint doesn't bubble like this." I informed Mike that this was their tint (showing him my warranty, proof of purchase AND printed receipt), and while I heard what he was saying, this is the situation and I would like to have the warranty (which I paid for) honored. Mike went on to tell me, basically, and in these words, that Saturday is the busiest day and there are "new customers" that he would be serving before taking care of my warranty issue. Mike told me that he would not repair my tint. I reminded him that I had followed their instructions from the previous Saturday, and brought my car back at opening today. Mike refuted, "We opened at 9 today," which I replied that it says online (and when you call and speak to an employee) that they open at 10am. Mike was now becoming increasingly aggressive and unprofessional. Soon another "new customer" walked up, to which Mike simply walked away from me to help them. When I said something, he continued to tell me that there were new customers taking precedence over my issue. We ended up back inside the store, where I CONTINUOUSLY requested not only the contact number for the owner, but also the owner's name so I could contact him and file a complaint. Mike refused to provide me with either. I asked for the owner's business card. Mike gave me a card - I called the number on it, and it rang to Mike's personal cell phone right there in the store. Mike proceeded to tell me that he "was not going to just drop everything [he] is doing and take care of [me]." I reminded him that I have not asked that at any time; that I had already came by last Saturday and was following the instructions given, to stop by at opening today to have my tint fixed. By this time, Mike involved the "new customer" in the store, to which she replied, "I am very uncomfortable." Mike told me to bring my car back at 3pm and drop it off for 4-6 hours and included, "But you have to leave. I do not want to see your face in this store." I told Mike that he can not legally tell me to leave the store while I am waiting for my vehicle, simply because he doesn't like me. Again, Mike began working up a new deal with his new customer, turning his back to me, and still refusing to give me the name and/or contact number for the owner of the store. I looked the business up online and found another telephone number, this one ringing to a man named David. I explained the situation to David, who had no problem providing me with the name of the owner. He took my name and phone number and told me that the owner would be contacting me. I have still heard nothing. Absolutely horrible business practices. Mike made me feel physically unsafe and threatened. I am still shocked at the complete lack of professionalism and consideration this company has for existing customers. I felt so unsafe that I wondered if the police would need to intervene at some point. My boyfriend brought his truck here after his rhino box with speakers had been stolen. They told him they could get him a new box and Install it same day. So he paid $1100 to get a new box with 10" subs. That was the first lie. Then they said it would be there Friday. On Friday they told him it would be ordered on Tuesday and in on Friday. He told them this was unacceptable and he wanted a box now. They Installed a box with 2 10" JL speakers. 2 days later the amp shuts down and the speakers don't work. When we called and asked about it they blamed it on his AMP. They knew exactly what the AMP was when they installed the speakers. He went back to get the money that was owed back to him and a man threatened to physically harm him. He did not get the money owed to him. I'm shocked that a business can operate like this. The parking lot is tight and the place looks a little grungy, but I took a chance and stopped to see what they offered. David Olivarez was knowledgeable about the sound systems and very easy-going ... there was no pressure. We set an appointment for the next afternoon. I arrived on time, and the installer began right away but quickly realized he had the wrong stereo adapter kit. After a quick trip to his supplier, work began again. Bad Placement of Location (Hard to Find & No Parking) The Problem I came for: I had a couple of old subwoofers my friend's dad gave me for helping him move. I was trying to get information on these to see what to do with them, since I can't find any information online. If I was to sell them, then I would shop at my buddy's store. If I was to keep them, I would buy an amp & let them install. It was to SUPPORT them and at the same time BENEFIT me (since they closed the store my buddy was in). The Story: I got inside the shop (couldn't see the hidden entrance) I was greeted by a good man from the original Hyper Audio. His background with me: He guided through setting my tweeters up. I told him I pulled a stock amp & sub from the junker and that eventually would return for an upgrade, so he told me as much as he could and let me dyi. Very satisfied customer. Back to Story: My buddy guides me to the entrance. I walk in and are neither greeted nor looked at. I talked to the guy who at least responded to my, "Hello," but he redirects me to the guy who seems to be in charge. I tell him I'm trying to see what to do with the speakers. He glanced at the picture and said, "yeah we can install that." He obviously didn't listen and I was reaffirmed that he didn't when he refused to even look at me when I spoke. Not only that, but I got cut off mid sentence TWICE while I was talking. I asked him what I should get, why and what's the best, latest (since I'm no expert in Audio and I don't know what to work for.) He looked at me like I was stupid and left me in silence for at least 2 minutes. Then again I asked, "what's your best," and he repeated, "depending on your budget." I was interrupted again when he started talking to the other guy on the front desk like I wasn't even there. I asked him to teach me a little bit since I didn't have much understanding of the audio industry, to which he contested me with, "I don't have the time to be giving out lessons." That's when I said, "Alright Thanks," and he replied with, "No problem. Let me know." My View: If you're going to be in the front counter, help your possible customers. Don't ignore your damm clients. Pay attention to them. If you're too busy then why would your other friend at the counter redirect me to you? It makes it seem like you don't know what you're doing when you do things like you did. Maybe you were never taught any manners, but as a business man you should know better. Like don't you want my money??? If you're not happy with your job find something that makes you happy man because you are one of the biggest grouch I've ever seen. These other low reviews seem to follow up with my experience as well. No one is going to come here if this doesn't change and could lead to the shutdown of a 2nd Hyper Audio Store. I'm impressed with the service that I received at Hyper Tint & Audio. I called at 4:30pm on a Monday to inquire about tint. He told me to bring it over. I made it there around 4:50, and I was driving off just before 6:00pm. He knows his stuff about what's gonna look good and what's not, and I couldn't be happier about my tint. Definitely 10/10. I went to these guys the other day to buy a sub for my truck and hooked me up with a good price. The owner is a great guy, super nice, treats you like family. When I went to go pick up my sub and get it installed, the owner came to my truck and saw my windows weren't tinted and said they were fading. I thought nothing of it when he said that, but when I came back to pick up my truck, I saw that he tinted my windows for free! Great business with good customer service. Tint location very nice service. I was sent to another location where it was a ghost town, 20 minutes in the waiting room and nothing.
