Nice japanese restaurant , authentic sushi and friendly service. They also offers conveyor belt . Sometimes you will have to wait a bit but I can tell that worth the waiting. Highly recommend a visit if you like japanese food.

Last night was my first time at Katana -- was very excited to experienced, just for the vibes of the sushi boats. The place has a maximum of 25 seats, so the wait time is serious. I made the trek from Shenandoah area to their location in time to add my name to their waitlist at 6:56pm -- the wait time was 90mins on dot. We killed time nearby at Bob's only to return maybe 30mins before our call time to find that the wait list had 2 additional pages...ppl seem to like the place a lot. We finally sat down and started the indulgence..or so I had hoped...honestly, not a lot of variety on those little boats. Sushi was okay, but I don't think I would venture out here for sushi again..experience was dope and for a first time, it was nice. I'll stick to my neighborhood gem.

I was so hungry so idk if that helped but it was all so gooooood!!! Such a fun experience too. And one waiter was so sweet, he saw we wanted something that passed us and ran to go get it. The layered cake was great. All the sushi was tried was great. It's a small place and you have to put your name down on a wait list to be seated. Worth the wait.

Such a cool spot but arrive early because the wait time is almost two hours. The food is delicious and so tasty but it's also a 75 minute eating time so be quick.. otherwise pretty cool experience!

A Miami Beach Classic, with great food that still holds affordable prices despite the expensive prices in the city. The service is very friendly and take there time to joke with you, even when it's very busy. Sitting next to the sushi boats floating in the river is an experience that you don't get to see that often anymore. Not a fancy place, but it feels very cozy every time you go in, like a capsule in time. Make sure to get there early, they don't take reservations but you can sign up and then go for a drink at Bob's while waiting.

this is my third time coming to this place and actually making it past the wait time! i will say, it is very worth the wait, i think we waited about an hour and 15 mins and were immediately sat, they are very good about turning tables. i didn't get the names of the two ladies who served us but they were very sweet!! all the sushi, sashimi, and nigiri tasted so fresh. they have appetizers, hand rolls, the best thai donuts, and so much more. i would go online and look at their menu to really have the best experience, every plate on the boats are priced differently, and i think the portions are perfect. the sushi chef is baiscally whipping all these sushi's out in front of you and it's like having dinner and a show. while there isn't any music and it's a pretty quiet ambience, there's lots of conversation going on which makes me feel like it's more of an experience than just dinner. they're open from 6pm - 12 am everyday, so accommodate for a possible 2 hour wait time. i'm definitely coming back, i love it here !!

What a great experience I came with a friend who's been here a few times we got here at 6:30 and even though they just opened it was still an hour wait there's a bunch of restaurants around where you can grab drinks. They call you when your seats are ready Once we saw it you can grab food right away since the boats never stopped going by so you don't have to wait for food, which is great. You can order from a server whatever you don't see on a boat they have a specials menu and then also some cooked food you can order. Our server/sushi man was amazing. Great recommendations super on point it was loud but because everybody was conversing I'm not even sure there was music playing. There is a 75 minute limit, which is more than enough, but they do fill up very very quickly.

    Salmon nigiri was good

Overall the cool thing about this place is their sushi boats going around on a river. If your a person who eats with their eyes this is perfect for you, as the sushi passes in front of you, you'll be tempted to grab everything, giving you a chance to try food you might not normally order or even know about. Be prepared to wait a while to be seated, not go for big parties. Also, the place is very dated and the floors and restrooms are grimy.

This is absolutely my favorite sushi spot in all of Miami. You cannot beat the price and their fish is amazing. You do have to get there early to add your name to the list because they don't take reservations but there's a bar right door where I like to have a drink and wait.

Rainbow roll was also great. We also got the oyster mushroom skewer and the eggplant skewer. Eggplant skewer absolutely outshined the other one. Totally get the eggplant. Dessert was great! Matcha tres leches was a stunner. Mochi came with 4 flavors, banana, passion fruit, mango, and birthday cakes. Best was birthday cake and banana. Ralph was our server. Great presence. Down to earth. The service was great -- friendly, fast, and patient with my very serious happy hour ordering strategy. Food-wise, there were some real winners. The tuna quality is excellent (like, "I might start pretending I'm a sushi expert" level). The BBQ skewers were delicious, and the run rice was amazing. I would happily order those again and again. Now... not everything was love at first bite. The fried mushrooms and the chicken skewer just didn't do it for me. Not terrible, just not something I'd fight my friends over. Drinks during happy hour are good, but a little on the sweet side -- I had to double check there was actually alcohol in there. The watermelon drink is probably the best one, but definitely ask for low sugar unless you want dessert in a glass. Overall, great spot for weekend happy hour, great ambiance, good sushi, and solid service. I'll definitely be back... mostly for the tuna and those BBQ skewers.

We ordered the crispy tuna rice, dynamite shrimp, truffle salmon roll, and beef noodles and every single dish delivered. The crispy tuna rice was perfectly crunchy on the outside with melt-in-your-mouth tuna on top, balanced beautifully with just the right amount of sauce. Easily one of the best bites of the night. The dynamite shrimp were addictive crispy, juicy, and coated in a creamy, spicy-sweet sauce that had just enough kick without overpowering the shrimp. A little hesitant at first being almost $30 but it was worth it! The truffle salmon roll was rich and buttery. The truffle flavor was subtle but elevated the salmon perfectly without being too heavy. Super fresh and beautifully presented. And the beef noodles were comforting and packed with flavor. The noodles were perfectly chewy, the beef was tender, and the sauce tied everything together with a deep, savory richness. On top of the amazing food, the presentation was gorgeous and the atmosphere was warm and stylish perfect for a date night or dinner with friends. Can't wait to come back and try more of the menu.

Service was solid overall--attentive and professional, though at times it felt a bit rushed, like they were trying to keep the pace moving more than letting you fully enjoy the experience. Food-wise, there's a lot to love. The sushi was fresh and well-executed, and some dishes really stood out with great flavor and presentation. That said, a couple of items felt a bit underwhelming compared to the price point--good, but not quite memorable. Portions also lean on the smaller side, so it can add up quickly. We were planning on ordering and taking the food to go. The restaurant had only one or two tables filled, so this was not a problem. The server was super friendly and the food was ready quickly. We had the following: Spicy Blue Crab Hand Roll Hamachi Hand Roll Spicy Tuna Roll Spicy Hamachi Roll Salmon Tiradito Pork and Shrimp Gyoza Verdict of the food: MEH. -Gyoza - I didn't try the gyoza because it had pork; Larry said it was a very small portion -Tuna and Hamachi rolls - tasted the same and were nearly all rice -Hamachi Hand Roll - I do not like hand rolls as they are difficult to eat neatly / share, but aside from logistics, this one was good! -Blue Crab Hand Roll - YUCK!!! The crab tasted like mud. I dislike crab though, so YMMV -Salmon Tiradito - very fresh and it came with an interesting passion fruit dipping sauce, but the order contained 5 tiny slices of fish The total came to $72 and we were still hungry after eating so I HAD TO COOK ANYWAY!!! I was actually pretty steamed all night; the point of spending money on restaurant food is to save me the work of cooking. So we spent money AND I cooked. Lose-lose. The interior of the restaurant is clean and fresh; the quality of the ingredients is good and the staff is super friendly, but the pricing is just way too high for what you get. The rolls were seriously not any better than Publix $5 sushi when the volume of rice is taken into account. We don't eat out much anymore so to try a new place and have it be disappointing is really a bummer.

We normally check the Michelin Guide first but there's none for Miami so we decided to browse through Tock for fun. This was how we stumbled upon Sushi Bar and we are so glad we did! The price point of $185 per seating is super worth it. You get a lot of fish and they are very creative with each nigiri. Their spin on it shows their creative side (with Miami flavors) but is not super over the top and sauce does not drown out the freshness of the fish. Something that stood out to me was how they shaved frozen monkfish liver as a topping. I wanna go back just for that!! They also had some pieces where they smoked the fish. Besides the food, I thought it was very creative how they welcomed guests with a welcome drink at the hotel bar. This was so unique! We finished ours early, and had some of their other drinks - they were all very good! Once they're ready, a server came to get us from the hotel bar and led us through an alleyway to a separate building which was where the actual omakase was taking place. The atmosphere was dark and gave off speakeasy vibes, which I thought was different to other omakase places. Bar is spacious enough to still have private conversations. We did the beverage pairing and we really appreciated the sommelier's knowledge. Overall, we would want to come back again for another tasting experience!!
